< 2 Samuel 22 >
1 And he spoke David to Yahweh [the] words of the song this on [the] day [when] he delivered Yahweh him from [the] hand of all enemies his and from [the] hand of Saul.
Pea naʻe lea ʻaki ʻe Tevita kia Sihova ʻae ngaahi lea ʻoe hiva ni ʻi he ʻaho naʻe fakamoʻui ai ia ʻe Sihova mei he nima ʻo hono fili kotoa pē, pea mei he nima ʻo Saula: ʻo ne pehē,
2 And he said Yahweh [is] rock my and stronghold my and deliverer my to me.
Ko hoku makatuʻu ʻa Sihova, mo ʻeku kolo, mo hoku fakamoʻui;
3 O God of rock my [whom] I take refuge in him shield my and [the] horn of salvation my refuge my and place of escape my O deliverer my from violence you deliver me.
Ko e ʻOtua ʻo hoku mālohi; ko ia te u falala ki ai: ko hoku fakaū, mo e mālohi ʻo ʻeku moʻui, ko hoku fale māʻolunga, mo hoku hūfanga, mo hoku fakamoʻui; ʻoku ke fakahaofi au mei he fakamālohiʻi.
4 [the one] to be praised I called out to Yahweh and from enemies my I am delivered.
Te u ui kia Sihova ʻaia ʻoku taau mo ia ʻae fakafetaʻi: pea ʻe pehē ʻae fakamoʻui au mei hoku ngaahi fili.
5 For they surrounded me [the] breakers of death torrents of worthlessness they overwhelmed me.
ʻI heʻene kāpui au ʻe he ngaahi mamahi ʻoe mate, naʻe fakamanavahēʻi au ʻe he lōmaki mai ʻae kau tangata angakovi;
6 [the] cords of Sheol they surrounded me they confronted me [the] snares of death. (Sheol )
Naʻe kāpui au ʻe he ngaahi mamahi ʻoe faʻitoka; naʻe talia au ʻe he ngaahi tauhele ʻoe mate (Sheol )
7 When it was distress to me I called out to Yahweh and to God my I called out and he heard from temple his voice my and cry for help my [was] in ears his.
8 (And it shook back and forth *Q(K)*) and it quaked the earth [the] foundations of the heavens they trembled and they shook back and forth for it burned to him.
Naʻe toki ngalulu ai ʻa māmani mo tetetete; naʻe ngaue mo lulululu ʻae tuʻunga ʻoe langi, koeʻuhi ko ʻene houhau.
9 It went up smoke in nose his and fire from mouth his it consumed coals they burned from him.
Naʻe ʻalu hake ʻae kohu mei hono fofonga, pea naʻe keina ʻe he afi mei hono ngutu; naʻe tutu ʻaki ia ʻae fefie.
10 And he bowed [the] heavens and he came down and thick darkness [was] under feet his.
Naʻa ne ofeʻi hifo foki ʻae ngaahi langi ʻo ne hāʻele hifo: pea naʻe ʻi hono lalo vaʻe ʻae poʻuli.
11 And he rode on a cherub and he flew and he appeared on [the] wings of [the] wind.
Pea naʻa ne heka ki he selupi, pea puna; pea naʻe hā mai ia ʻi he kapakau ʻoe matangi.
12 And he put darkness around him shelters a sieve of waters dark clouds of clouds.
Pea naʻa ne ngaohi ʻae fakapoʻuli ko e fale ke tuʻu takatakai ʻiate ia, ko e ngaahi vai fakapoʻuli, mo e ngaahi ʻao matolu ʻoe langi.
13 From [the] brightness before him they burned coals of fire.
Ko e meʻa ʻi he uloulo ʻi hono ʻao naʻe tutu ai ʻae fefie ʻoe afi.
14 He thundered from heaven Yahweh and [the] Most High he gave voice his.
Naʻe mana ʻa Sihova mei he langi, pea naʻe fakaongo atu ʻe he Toko Taha Māʻolunga ʻa hono leʻo.
15 And he sent arrows and he scattered them [with] lightning (and he routed [them]. *Q(K)*)
Pea naʻa ne fanaʻi atu ʻae ngaahi ngahau, mo fakamovetevete ʻakinautolu ko e ʻuhila ke veuveuki kinautolu.
16 And they appeared [the] channels of [the] sea they were uncovered [the] foundations of [the] world at [the] rebuke of Yahweh from [the] breathing of [the] breath of nose his.
Pea naʻe ha hake ʻae tokaʻanga ʻoe tahi, naʻe fakahāhā mai ʻae ngaahi tuʻunga ʻo māmani, ʻi he valokia mai ʻa Sihova, mo e ʻuʻulu mai ʻae mānava ʻo hono fofonga.
17 He stretched out from a high place he took hold of me he drew me from waters many.
Naʻa ne fekau mei ʻolunga, ʻo ne puke au; naʻa ne toʻo atu au mei he ngaahi vai lahi;
18 He rescued me from enemy my mighty from [those who] hate me for they were [too] strong for me.
Naʻa ne fakamoʻui au mei hoku fili mālohi, pea meiate kinautolu naʻe fehiʻa kiate au: he naʻa nau mālohi fau kiate au.
19 They confronted me in [the] day of calamity my and he was Yahweh a support of me.
Naʻa nau talia au ʻi he ʻaho ʻo ʻeku tuʻutāmaki, ka ko Sihova ko hoku falalaʻanga.
20 And he brought out to roomy place me he rescued me for he delighted in me.
Naʻa ne ʻomi foki au ki he potu ʻataʻatā: naʻa ne fakamoʻui au, koeʻuhi ko ʻene fiemālie ʻiate au.
21 He dealt with me Yahweh according to righteousness my according to [the] cleanness of hands my he repaid to me.
Naʻe totongi au ʻe Sihova ʻo fakatatau mo ʻeku māʻoniʻoni: ʻo hangē ko e maʻa ʻo hoku nima kuo pehē ʻa ʻene totongi kiate au.
22 For I have kept [the] ways of Yahweh and not I have acted wickedly from God my.
He kuo tauhi ʻeau ʻae hala ʻo Sihova, pea kuo ʻikai te u mahuʻi ʻi he angakovi mei hoku ʻOtua.
23 For all (judgments his *Q(K)*) [are] to before me and statutes his not I turn aside from it.
He naʻe ʻi hoku ʻao ʻa ʻene ngaahi fono kotoa pē: pea ko ʻene ngaahi fekau naʻe ʻikai te u ʻalu kehe mo ia.
24 And I was blameless to him and I kept myself! from iniquity my.
Naʻaku angatonu foki ʻi hono ʻao, pea kuo u taʻofi au mei heʻeku hia ʻaʻaku.
25 And he repaid Yahweh to me according to righteousness my according to cleanness my to before eyes his.
Ko ia kuo totongi au ʻe Sihova ʻo fakatatau mo ʻeku māʻoniʻoni: ʻo fakatatau mo ʻeku maʻa ʻi hono ʻao.
26 With a faithful [person] you show yourself faithful with a mighty [man] blameless you show yourself blameless.
Kiate ia ʻoku ʻaloʻofa ongongofua te ke fakahā ʻe koe ʻae ʻaloʻofa, pea ki he tangata angatonu te ke fakahā koe ko e angatonu.
27 With [one who] purifies himself you show yourself pure and with a perverse [person] you show yourself twisted.
Kiate ia ʻoku angamaʻa te ke fakahā koe ki ai ko e angamaʻa; pea ko ia ʻoku angamamili, te ke fangatua mo ia.
28 And a people afflicted you save and eyes your [are] on haughty [people] you bring [them] low.
Pea te ke fakamoʻui ʻae kakai ʻoku mamahi: ka ʻoku ʻafio ʻe ho fofonga ki he kakai fielahi, koeʻuhi ke hifo ʻakinautolu ki lalo.
29 For you [are] lamp my O Yahweh and Yahweh he lightens darkness my.
He ko hoku maama ʻa koe, ʻE Sihova pea ʻe fakamaama ʻe Sihova ʻa ʻeku fakapoʻuli.
30 For by you I run a marauding band by God my I leap over a wall.
He ko e meʻa ʻiate koe kuo u motuhi ai ha vāhenga tau: pea ko e meʻa ʻi hoku ʻOtua kuo u puna atu ai ʻi ha ʻā.
31 God [is] blameless way his [the] word of Yahweh [is] refined [is] a shield he for all those [who] seek refuge in him.
Ko e ʻOtua, ʻoku haohaoa hono hala ʻoʻona: kuo ʻahiʻahiʻi ʻae folofola ʻa Sihova: ko e ungaʻanga ia kiate kinautolu kotoa pē ʻoku falala kiate ia.
32 For who? [is] God except Yahweh and who? [is] a rock except God our.
He ko hai ʻoku ʻOtua ka ko Sihova pe? Pea ko hai ko e makatuʻu, ka ko hotau ʻOtua pe?
33 God [is] place of refuge my strength and he set free a blameless [person] (way my. *Q(K)*)
Ko e ʻOtua ko hoku mālohi fakamoʻomoʻoni: pea ʻoku ne fakaʻataʻatā ʻa hoku ʻaluʻanga.

39 And I brought to an end them and I shattered them and not they will rise! and they fell under feet my.
Pea kuo u fakaʻosiʻosi kinautolu, mo fakakafoʻi kinautolu, ke ʻoua naʻa nau faʻa tuʻu hake: ʻio, kuo nau hinga ki hoku lalo vaʻe.
40 And you have girded me strength for battle you make bow down [those who] rise against me under me.
He ko koe kuo ke fakakofuʻaki au ʻoe mālohi ki he tau: ko kinautolu naʻe tutuʻu hake ke tauʻi au kuo ke fakamapelu hifo kinautolu kiate au.

44 And you rescued me from [the] strifes of people my you kept me to [the] head of [the] nations a people [whom] not I knew they served me.
Kuo ke fakahaofi foki au mei he fetauʻaki ʻa hoku kakai, kuo ke maluʻi au ke ʻulutukua kiate au ʻae hiteni: ʻe tauhi kiate au ha kakai naʻe ʻikai te u ʻiloa.
45 Sons of foreignness they cringed to me to hear an ear they became obedient to me.
ʻE fakamoʻulaloa kiate au ʻae fānau ʻoe kakai muli, ʻekinautolu pe: ʻoka nau ka fanongo leva, tenau talangofua kiate au.
46 Sons of foreignness they withered and they may girdethemselves from strongholds their.
ʻE fakaʻaʻau ke mole atu ʻae kakai muli, pea tenau manavahē mei honau toitoiʻanga.
47 [is] living Yahweh and [be] blessed rock my and may he be exalted [the] God of [the] rock of salvation my.
ʻOku moʻui ʻa Sihova; pea ke monūʻia ʻa hoku makatuʻu; pea ke fakamāʻolunga hake ʻae ʻOtua ʻoe makatuʻu ʻo hoku fakamoʻui.
48 God [is] the [one who] gives vengeance to me and [is] bringing down peoples under me.

50 There-fore I will give thanks you O Yahweh among the nations and to name your I will sing praise.
Ko ia te u tuku ai ʻae fakafetaʻi kiate koe, ʻE Sihova, ʻi he haʻohaʻonga ʻoe hiteni, pea te u hivaʻaki ʻae fakafetaʻi ki ho huafa.
51 ([the] tower *Q(K)*) Of [the] salvation of king his and [who] does covenant loyalty to anointed his to David and to offspring his until perpetuity.
Ko e fale māʻolunga [ia ]ʻoe fakamoʻui maʻa ʻene tuʻi: pea ʻoku [ne ]fakahā ʻae ʻaloʻofa kiate ia kuo ne pani [ʻaki ʻae lolo], kia Tevita, pea ki hono hako, ʻo taʻengata.
