< 2 Samuel 22 >
1 And he spoke David to Yahweh [the] words of the song this on [the] day [when] he delivered Yahweh him from [the] hand of all enemies his and from [the] hand of Saul.
OLELO aku la o Davida ia Iehova i na huaolelo o keia mele, i ka la a Iehova i hoopakele ae ia ia mai ka lima aku o kona poe enemi a pau, a mai ka lima aku hoi o Saula.
2 And he said Yahweh [is] rock my and stronghold my and deliverer my to me.
I aku la ia, O Iehova no kuu pohaku, kuu pakaua, a me kuu hoola;
3 O God of rock my [whom] I take refuge in him shield my and [the] horn of salvation my refuge my and place of escape my O deliverer my from violence you deliver me.
O ke Akua o ko'u pohaku, e paulele aku au maluna ona; Oia ko'u palekaua, a me ka pepeiaohao o ko'u ola; Oia ko'u halekiai kiekie, o kuu puuhonua, a me kuu hoola; Ke hoola mai nei oe ia'u, i ke koloheia.
4 [the one] to be praised I called out to Yahweh and from enemies my I am delivered.
E hea aku no wau ia Iehova, ka mea pono ke hoonaniia'ku: Pela no wau e hoopakeleia mai ai i ko'u poe enemi.
5 For they surrounded me [the] breakers of death torrents of worthlessness they overwhelmed me.
Hoopuni mai la na ale o ka make ia'u, Hooweliweli mai la ka waikahe o ka poe aia ia'u;
6 [the] cords of Sheol they surrounded me they confronted me [the] snares of death. (Sheol )
Ua puni au i ko ka po mea e paa ai, A hoohei mai la ia'u na upena o ka make. (Sheol )
7 When it was distress to me I called out to Yahweh and to God my I called out and he heard from temple his voice my and cry for help my [was] in ears his.
I ko'u popilikia, kahea aku la au ia Iehova. Uwe aku la hoi au i ko'u Akua; A lohe mai la kela i ko'u leo mai kona luakini mai, A komo aku la hoi ko'u kahea ana iloko o kona mau pepeiao.
8 (And it shook back and forth *Q(K)*) and it quaked the earth [the] foundations of the heavens they trembled and they shook back and forth for it burned to him.

9 It went up smoke in nose his and fire from mouth his it consumed coals they burned from him.
Pukoa ae la ka uahi mailoko ae o kona mau pukaihu, Mai loko aku o kona waha i ai aku ai ke ahi: Ua kukuniia na lanahu e ia.
10 And he bowed [the] heavens and he came down and thick darkness [was] under feet his.
Hoohaahaa iho la oia i na lani, a iho mai la, Malalo ae o kona mau wawae ka pouli.
11 And he rode on a cherub and he flew and he appeared on [the] wings of [the] wind.
Holo ae la kela maluna o kekahi keruba, a lele ae la no hoi ia; Ua ikea no hoi oia maluna o na eheu o ka makani.
12 And he put darkness around him shelters a sieve of waters dark clouds of clouds.

13 From [the] brightness before him they burned coals of fire.

14 He thundered from heaven Yahweh and [the] Most High he gave voice his.
Hoohekili mai la o Iehova mai ka lani mai, A hoopoha mai la hoi ka Mea kiekie loa i kona leo.
15 And he sent arrows and he scattered them [with] lightning (and he routed [them]. *Q(K)*)

16 And they appeared [the] channels of [the] sea they were uncovered [the] foundations of [the] world at [the] rebuke of Yahweh from [the] breathing of [the] breath of nose his.
Alaila ua ikea na kaha o ke kai, Ua hoikeia mai no hoi na kumu o ka honua, I ka papa ana mai o Iehova, I ka nou ana mai o ka hanu o kona mau puka ihu.
17 He stretched out from a high place he took hold of me he drew me from waters many.

18 He rescued me from enemy my mighty from [those who] hate me for they were [too] strong for me.

19 They confronted me in [the] day of calamity my and he was Yahweh a support of me.

20 And he brought out to roomy place me he rescued me for he delighted in me.

21 He dealt with me Yahweh according to righteousness my according to [the] cleanness of hands my he repaid to me.
Uku mai la o Iehova ia'u e like me ko'u pono: Ua hoihoi mai oia ia'u e like me ka maemae o ko'u mau lima.
22 For I have kept [the] ways of Yahweh and not I have acted wickedly from God my.

23 For all (judgments his *Q(K)*) [are] to before me and statutes his not I turn aside from it.

24 And I was blameless to him and I kept myself! from iniquity my.

25 And he repaid Yahweh to me according to righteousness my according to cleanness my to before eyes his.
Nolaila i uku mai ai o Iehova ia'u e like me ko'u pono; E like me ko'u maemae ana imua o kona mau maka.
26 With a faithful [person] you show yourself faithful with a mighty [man] blameless you show yourself blameless.

27 With [one who] purifies himself you show yourself pure and with a perverse [person] you show yourself twisted.
I ka mea maemae e hoike mai no oe ia oe iho he maemae; A i ka mea hookekee e hoike mai no oe ia oe iho he oluolu ole.
28 And a people afflicted you save and eyes your [are] on haughty [people] you bring [them] low.

29 For you [are] lamp my O Yahweh and Yahweh he lightens darkness my.
No ka mea, o oe no ko'u kukui, e Iehova: A e hoomalamalama mai no o Iehova i ko'u pouli.
30 For by you I run a marauding band by God my I leap over a wall.

31 God [is] blameless way his [the] word of Yahweh [is] refined [is] a shield he for all those [who] seek refuge in him.

32 For who? [is] God except Yahweh and who? [is] a rock except God our.

33 God [is] place of refuge my strength and he set free a blameless [person] (way my. *Q(K)*)
O ke Akua no ko'u ikaika a me ko'u mana; Ke hoopololei nei oia i ko'u alanui.
34 [he is] making (Feet my *Q(K)*) like does and on high places my he makes stand firm me.
Ke hoomama nei oia i ko'u mau wawae e like me na wawae dia; Me ka hoonoho ia'u ma ko'u mau wahi kiekie.
35 [he has] trained Hands my for battle and it will stretch a bow of bronze arms my.
Ke ao mai nei oia i kuu mau lima e kaua; I uhaiia'i e ko'u lima ke kakaka keleawe.
36 And you gave to me [the] shield of salvation your and answering your you make great me.
Ua haawi mai hoi oe i kou paku e ola'i; A o kou ahonui ka i hoonui mai ia'u.
37 You enlarge step[s] my under me and not they slip ankles my.
Ua hooakea oe i ko'u mau kapuwai malalo iho o'u: Aole hoi i pahee ko'u mau wawae.
38 Let me pursue enemies my and I destroyed them and not I returned until brought to an end them.
Ua alualu aku au i ko'u poe enemi, A ua luku aku au ia lakou; Aole au i hoi mai a pau e lakou ia'u i ka make.
39 And I brought to an end them and I shattered them and not they will rise! and they fell under feet my.
Hoopau aku la au ia lakou, me ka pepehi iho; Aole i hiki ia lakou ke ku ae: Aia, ua hina lakou malalo iho o ko'u mau wawae.
40 And you have girded me strength for battle you make bow down [those who] rise against me under me.
Ua kakoo mai oe ia'u i ka ikaika e kaua ai; Ua hookulou iho oe malalo o'u i ka poe i ku e mai ia'u.
41 And enemies my you have given to me a neck [those who] hate me and I destroyed them.
Ua haawi mai oe ia'u i na a-i o ko'u poe enemi, I luku aku ai au i ka poe inaina mai ia'u.
42 They looked and there not [was] a deliverer to Yahweh and not he answered them.
Leha ae lakou, aohe hoi mea e ola'i; Ia Iehova hoi, aole nae ia i hoolohe mai.
43 And I beat fine them like [the] dust of [the] earth like [the] mud of [the] streets I pulverized them I beat out them.

44 And you rescued me from [the] strifes of people my you kept me to [the] head of [the] nations a people [whom] not I knew they served me.

45 Sons of foreignness they cringed to me to hear an ear they became obedient to me.
E hoolohe mai no auanei ia'u na kanaka e, I ka lohe o ka pepeiao, e malama koke mai no lakou ia'u.
46 Sons of foreignness they withered and they may girdethemselves from strongholds their.
E mae aku no na kanaka e, E makau hoi lakou ma ko lakou wahi paa.
47 [is] living Yahweh and [be] blessed rock my and may he be exalted [the] God of [the] rock of salvation my.
Ke ola nei o Iehova, e hoomaikaiia ko'u pohaku; E hapaiia'ku hoi ke Akua o kuu pohaku e ola'i.
48 God [is] the [one who] gives vengeance to me and [is] bringing down peoples under me.
O ke Akua ke hoopai aku no'u, Me ka hoolilo i na kanaka malalo iho o'u.
49 And [is] bringing out me from enemies my and from [those who] rise against me you lift up me from a man of violence you rescue me.
Oia ke hoopakele ia'u i ko'u poe enemi: Oia hoi ka i hookiekie ae ia'u maluna o ka poe i ku e mai ia'u; Ua hoola mai oe ia'u i ke kanaka hoino.
50 There-fore I will give thanks you O Yahweh among the nations and to name your I will sing praise.
Nolaila au e hoalohaloha aku ai ia oe, e Iehova, mawaena o na kanaka e. E mele hoomaikai aku au i kou inoa.
51 ([the] tower *Q(K)*) Of [the] salvation of king his and [who] does covenant loyalty to anointed his to David and to offspring his until perpetuity.
