< 2 Samuel 14 >
1 And he perceived Joab [the] son of Zeruiah that [the] heart of the king [was] towards Absalom.

2 And he sent Joab Tekoa towards and he took from there a woman wise and he said to her play [the] mourner please and put on please garments of mourning and may not you anoint yourself oil and you will be like a woman this days many [who has been] mourning on a dead [person].
Te dongah Joab loh Tekoa la ol a tah tih te lamkah huta aka cueih te a khuen. Te phoeiah anih te, “Nguekcoi mai lamtah nguekcoinah himbai bai mai laeh. Situi hluk boeh, aka duek ham khohnin yung ah aka nguekcoi huta bangla om laeh.
3 And you will go to the king and you will speak to him according to the word this and he put Joab the words in mouth her.
Te phoeiah manghai taengla cet lamtah amah taengah hekah ol bangla thui pah,” a ti nah tih Joab loh anih ka dongah ol a khueh pah.
4 And she said the woman Tekoite to the king and she fell on face her [the] ground towards and she bowed down and she said save! O king.
Tekoa nu loh manghai te a voek vaengah a maelhmai diklai la a buluk thil tih a bawk pueng. Te phoeiah ni, “Manghai nang loh ng'khang,” a ti nah.
5 And he said to her the king what? [is] to you and she said indeed [am] a woman a widow I and he has died husband my.
Te dongah amah te manghai loh, “Nang te ba dae lae,” a ti nah. Te vaengah, “Kai tah nuhmai nu tih ka va khaw duek coeng.
6 And [belonged] to maidservant your two sons and they struggled together [the] two of them in the field and there not [was] a deliverer between them and he struck him the one the one and he killed him.
Na salnu taengkah capa panit he amamih rhoi te lohma ah hnuei uh rhoi. Amih rhoi laklo ah sim uh pawh. Te dongah pakhat loh pakhat te a ngawn tih duek.
7 And there! it has risen up all the clan on maidservant your and they have said deliver up - [the] [one who] struck down brother his so we may put to death him for [the] life of brother his whom he killed and let us destroy also the heir and they will extinguish coal my which it is left to not (to establish *Q(K)*) for husband my a name and a remnant on [the] surface of the ground.

8 And he said the king to the woman go to house your and I I will command on you.
Te dongah manghai loh huta te, “Na im la mael laeh, nang ham te kamah loh ka uen bitni,” a ti nah.
9 And she said the woman Tekoite to the king [be] on me O lord my the king the iniquity and on [the] house of father my and the king and throne his [be] innocent.
Tedae Tekoa nu loh manghai taengah, “Ka boei manghai kah thaesainah he kamah so neh a pa imkhui ah om saeh lamtah manghai neh a ngolkhoel ta ommongsitoe la om saeh,” a ti nah.
10 And he said the king the [one who] speaks to you and you will bring him to me and not he will repeat again to touch you.
Te phoeiah manghai loh, “Nang taengah aka thui te kamah taengla hang khuen, nang koep m'ben ham te khoep boel saeh,” a ti nah.
11 And she said let him remember please the king Yahweh God your (from increasing *Q(k)*) [the] avenger of blood to destroy and not they will destroy son my and he said [by] [the] life of Yahweh if it will fall one of [the] hair[s] of son your [the] ground towards.
Te phoeiah, “BOEIPA na Pathen loh manghai te n'thoelh pawn saeh. Thii phu aka suk te a rhaep, rhaep la thup nawn saeh. Te daengah ni ka capa te a diil sak uh pawt eh,” a ti nah. Te vaengah manghai loh, “BOEIPA kah hingnah rhangneh na capa kah a sam pakhat pataeng diklai la rhul mahpawh,” a ti nah.
12 And she said the woman let her speak please maidservant your to lord my the king a word and he said speak.
Te phoeiah huta loh, “Na salnu long he ka boeipa manghai taengah ol kan thui dae eh,” a ti nah hatah, “Thui saw,” a ti nah.
13 And she said the woman and why? have you planned like this on [the] people of God and because has spoken the king the word this like a guilty [person] to not to bring back the king banished [son] his.
Te dongah huta loh, “Balae tih tahae kah bangla, Pathen kah pilnam he na moeh thil. A heh uh te manghai loh na khue pawt vaengah, a rhaem banghui la hekah ol he manghai loh a thui.
14 For certainly we will die and [we are] like waters which are spilled [the] ground towards which not they will be gathered and not he takes away God life and he plans plans to not he will be cast out from him a banished [one].
Diklai dongah tui a luh tih a coi thai voel pawt bangla n'duek rhoe n'duek uh pawn ni. Pathen loh a hinglu bawt pah pawt cakhaw a kopoek te a moeh pah ta. Te dongah a heh tangtae khaw amah taeng lamloh loh a bung moenih.
15 And now when I have come to speak to the king lord my the word this that they have made afraid me the people and she said maidservant your let me speak please to the king perhaps he will do the king [the] word of maidservant his.
Te dongah he ol he ka boei manghai taengah thui ham ni ka pawk coeng. Pilnam loh kai ng'hih cakhaw a ti banglam ni na salnu loh manghai taengah ka thui eh. A salnu kah olka te manghai loh a rhoirhi mai khaming.
16 For he will hear the king to deliver maidservant his from [the] hand of the man to destroy me and son my together from [the] inheritance of God.
Pathen kah rho dong lamloh kamah neh ka capa rhenten aka mitmoeng sak ham khaw, hlang kut lamloh a sal nu a huul ham khaw manghai loh ya pai saeh.
17 And she said maidservant your may it become please [the] word of lord my the king rest for - like [the] angel of God [is] so lord my the king to hear good and bad and Yahweh God your may he be with you.
Na salnu long tah ka boei manghai kah ol he Pathen puencawn bangla duemnah la om saeh a ti dae ta. Ka boei manghai loh a thae a then khaw a yaak dongah BOEIPA na Pathen tah namah taengah om nawn saeh,” a ti nah.
18 And he answered the king and he said to the woman may not please you hide from me anything which I [am] asking you and she said the woman let him speak please lord my the king.
Te phoeiah manghai loh huta te a doo tih, “Namah kan dawt bangla kai taengah ol phah boel mai,” a ti nah. Te vaengah huta long khaw, “Ka boei manghai nang thui laeh,” a ti nah.
19 And he said the king ¿ [is] [the] hand of Joab with you in all this and she answered the woman and she said [by] [the] life of self your O lord my the king if there is - to go to [the] right and to go to [the] left from all that he has spoken lord my the king for servant your Joab he he commanded me and he he put in [the] mouth of maidservant your all the words these.
Te vaengah manghai loh, “Nang taengkah olka boeih dongah he Joab kah kutngo om nama?” a ti nah. Te dongah huta loh a doo tih, “Ka boei manghai kah na hinglu kah hingnah vanbangla ka boei manghai loh a thui te pakhat khaw banvoei bantang la a hlihloeh moenih. Na sal Joab loh kai ng'uen tih he rhoek kah olka boeih he na salnu kah a ka dongah a khueh.
20 In order to change [the] face of the matter he did servant your Joab the thing this and lord my [is] wise like [the] wisdom of [the] angel of God to know all that [is] in the land.
Olka te a hmuethma hoilae ham ni hekah olka he na sal Joab loh a saii. Tedae ka boeipa tah Pathen puencawn kah cueihnah bangla a cueih dongah, diklai hman kah khaw boeih a ming,” a ti nah.
21 And he said the king to Joab here! please I do the thing this and go bring back the young man Absalom.
Te daengah manghai loh Joab te, “Ol he ka tloek bitni ne, cet lamtah Absalom camoe te lo laeh,” a ti nah.
22 And he fell Joab to face his [the] ground towards and he bowed down and he blessed the king and he said Joab this day he knows servant your that I have found favor in view your O lord my the king that he has done the king [the] word of (servant your. *Q(K)*)
Te dongah Joab loh a maelhmai te diklai la a buluk tih a bawk phoeiah manghai te a uem. Te phoeiah Joab loh, “Tihnin ah tah ka boei manghai na mikhmuh ah mikdaithen ka dang te na sal loh ka ming. Na sal kah a sal patoeng ol he manghai loh a rhoi coeng,” a ti.
23 And he arose Joab and he went Geshur towards and he brought Absalom Jerusalem.
Joab te thoo tih Geshuri la cet tih Absalom te Jerusalem la a mael puei.
24 And he said the king he will turn to house his and face my not he will see and he turned Absalom to house his and [the] face of the king not he saw.
Tedae manghai loh, “Amah im la mael saeh lamtah ka maelhmai he hmu boel saeh,” a ti nah. Te dongah Absalom te amah im la mael tih manghai kah maelhmai khaw hmu pawh.
25 And like Absalom not he was a man handsome in all Israel to praise exceedingly from [the] sole of foot his and to scalp his not it was in him a blemish.
Absalom bangla sakthen hlang he Israel boeih khuiah a om moenih. A khopha lamloh a luki duela thangthen hamla om. A pum dongah a lolhmaih pakhat khaw om pawh.
26 And when shaved he head his and it was from [the] end of days - to the days when he shaved for [it was] heavy on him and he shaved it and he weighed [the] hair of head his two hundred shekels by [the] weight of the king.
A kum, kum ah apat a pha atah a lu te vok. Te khaw amah mat a nan vaengah ni a vok pueng. A lu dongkah sam te a vok tih a thuek vaengah manghai coilung ah shekel yahnih a lo pah.
27 And they were born to Absalom three sons and a daughter one and name her [was] Tamar she she was a woman beautiful of appearance.
Absalom loh capa pathum neh canu pakhat a sak. A canu ming tah Tamar tih, a mueimae khaw sakthen nu la om.
28 And he dwelt Absalom in Jerusalem two years days and [the] face of the king not he saw.
Absalom tah Jerusalem ah khohnin la kum nit kho a sak dae manghai maelhmai hmuh pawh.
29 And he sent Absalom to Joab to send him to the king and not he was willing to come to him and he sent again a second [time] and not he was willing to come.
Te dongah Absalom loh Joab te a tah tih manghai taengla a tueih. Tedae a taengla a pawk pah ham te a ngaih pah moenih. Te dongah a pabae la koep a tueih dae lo sak ham ngaih pah pawh.
30 And he said to servants his see [the] portion of land of Joab [is] to hand my and [belongs] to him there barley go (and set on fire it *Q(K)*) with fire and they set on fire [the] servants of Absalom the portion of land with fire.
Te vaengah a sal rhoek taengah, “So uh lah, Joab kah lo he kamah kut ah om, te lamkah cangtun te paan uh lamtah hmai neh hlup la hlup pa uh,” a ti nah. Te dongah Absalom kah sal rhoek loh lo te hmai neh a hlup uh.
31 And he arose Joab and he went to Absalom the house towards and he said to him why? have they set on fire servants your the portion of land which [belongs] to me with fire.
Te daengah Joab te too tih Absalom te a im la a paan. Te vaengah, “Balae tih na sal rhoek loh kai lo ke hmai neh a hlup uh,” a ti nah.
32 And he said Absalom to Joab here! I sent to you - saying come here so let me send you to the king saying why? have I come from Geshur [was] good for me still I [was] there and therefore let me see [the] face of the king and if there in me [is] iniquity and he will kill me.
Absalom loh Joab te, “‘Hela halo dae,’ ka ti tih la nang te kan tah. Te daengah man manghai te voek hamla nang te kan tueih ve. Geshuri lamkah ka pawk parhi te kai hamla balae a then, ka om palueng vetih manghai kah maelhmai ka hmuh laeh mako, tedae kai pum dongah thaesainah a om atah kai he ng'ngawn saeh,” a ti nah.
33 And he went Joab to the king and he told to him and he summoned Absalom and he came to the king and he bowed down to him on face his [the] ground towards before the king and he kissed the king Absalom.
Joab te manghai taengla cet tih a thui pah. Te daengah Absalom te a khue tih manghai taengla koep ha pawk. Te vaengah manghai kah mikhmuh ah a maelhmai diklai la a buluk tih a bawk. Manghai loh Absalom te a mok.
