< 2 Samuel 13 >

1 And it was after thus and [belonged] to Absalom [the] son of David a sister a beautiful and name her [was] Tamar and he loved her Amnon [the] son of David.
Ó sì ṣe, lẹ́yìn èyí, Absalomu ọmọ Dafidi ní àbúrò obìnrin kan tí ó ṣe arẹwà, orúkọ rẹ̀ a sì máa jẹ́ Tamari; Amnoni ọmọ Dafidi sì fẹ́ràn rẹ̀.
2 And it was distress to Amnon to make himself sick for sake of Tamar sister his for [was] a virgin she and it was difficult in [the] eyes of Amnon to do to her anything.
Amnoni sì banújẹ́ títí ó fi ṣe àìsàn nítorí Tamari àbúrò rẹ̀ obìnrin; nítorí pé wúńdíá ni; ó sì ṣe ohun tí ó ṣòro lójú Amnoni láti bá a dàpọ̀.
3 And [belonged] to Amnon a friend and name his [was] Jonadab [the] son of Shimeah [the] brother of David and Jonadab [was] a man shrewd very.
Ṣùgbọ́n Amnoni ní ọ̀rẹ́ kan, orúkọ rẹ̀ a sì máa jẹ́ Jonadabu, ọmọ Ṣimea ẹ̀gbọ́n Dafidi, Jonadabu sì jẹ́ alárékérekè ènìyàn gidigidi.
4 And he said to him why? [are] you thus weak O son of the king in the morning in the morning ¿ not will you tell to me and he said to him Amnon Tamar [the] sister of Absalom brother my I [am] loving.
Ó sì wí fún un pé, “Èéṣe tí ìwọ ọmọ ọba ń fi ń rù lójoojúmọ́ báyìí? Ǹjẹ́ o kò ní sọ fún mi?” Amnoni sì wí fún un pé, “Èmi fẹ́ Tamari àbúrò Absalomu arákùnrin mi.”
5 And he said to him Jonadab lie down on bed your and make yourself sick and he will come father your to see you and you will say to him let her come please Tamar sister my and let her cause to eat me food and she will make to eyes my the food so that that I may see and I will eat from hand her.
Jonadabu sì wí fún un pé, “Dùbúlẹ̀ ní ibùsùn rẹ kí ìwọ sì díbọ́n pé, ìwọ kò sàn, baba rẹ yóò sì wá wò ọ́, ìwọ ó sì wí fún un pé, ‘Jọ̀wọ́ jẹ́ kí Tamari àbúrò mi wá kí ó sì fún mi ní oúnjẹ kí ó sì ṣe oúnjẹ náà níwájú mi kí èmi ó rí i, èmi ó sì jẹ ẹ́ ní ọwọ́ rẹ̀.’”
6 And he lay down Amnon and he made himself sick and he came the king to see him and he said Amnon to the king let her come please Tamar sister my and let her make cakes to eyes my two cakes so I may eat from hand her.
Amnoni sì dùbúlẹ̀, ó sì díbọ́n pé òun ṣàìsàn, ọba sì wá wò ó, Amnoni sì wí fún ọba pé, “Jọ̀wọ́, jẹ́ kí Tamari àbúrò mi ó wá, kí ó sì dín àkàrà méjì lójú mi, èmi ó sì jẹ ní ọwọ́ rẹ̀.”
7 And he sent David to Tamar the house towards saying go please [the] house of Amnon brother your and make for him the food.
Dafidi sì ránṣẹ́ sí Tamari ní ilé pé, “Lọ sí ilé Amnoni ẹ̀gbọ́n rẹ, kí ó sì se oúnjẹ fún un.”
8 And she went Tamar [the] house of Amnon brother her and he [was] lying down and she took the dough (and she kneaded [it] *Q(k)*) and she made cakes to eyes his and she cooked the cakes.
Tamari sì lọ sí ilé Amnoni ẹ̀gbọ́n rẹ̀, òun sì ń bẹ ní ìdùbúlẹ̀. Tamari sì mú ìyẹ̀fun, ó sì pò ó, ó sì fi ṣe àkàrà lójú rẹ̀, ó sì dín àkàrà náà.
9 And she took the pan and she poured out before him and he refused to eat and he said Amnon send out every person from with me and they went out every person from with him.
Òun sì mú àwo náà, ó sì dà á sínú àwo mìíràn níwájú rẹ̀; ṣùgbọ́n ó kọ̀ láti jẹ. Amnoni sì wí pé, “Jẹ́ kí gbogbo ọkùnrin jáde kúrò lọ́dọ̀ mi!” Wọ́n sì jáde olúkúlùkù ọkùnrin kúrò lọ́dọ̀ rẹ̀.
10 And he said Amnon to Tamar bring the food the chamber so I may eat from hand your and she took Tamar the cakes which she had made and she brought [them] to Amnon brother her the chamber towards.
Amnoni sì wí fún Tamari pé, “Mú oúnjẹ náà wá sí yàrá, èmi ó sì jẹ ẹ́ lọ́wọ́ rẹ.” Tamari sì mú àkàrà tí ó ṣe, ó sì mú un tọ Amnoni ẹ̀gbọ́n rẹ̀ ní yàrá.
11 And she brought [them] to him to eat and he took hold on her and he said to her come lie with me O sister my.
Nígbà tí ó sì súnmọ́ ọn láti fi oúnjẹ fún un, òun sì dìímú, ó sì wí fún un pé, “Wá dùbúlẹ̀ tì mí, àbúrò mi.”
12 And she said to him may [you] not O brother my may not you humble me for not it will be done thus in Israel may not you do the disgraceful folly this.
Òun sì dá a lóhùn wí pé, “Bẹ́ẹ̀ kọ́ ẹ̀gbọ́n mi, má ṣe tẹ́ mi; nítorí pé kò tọ kí a ṣe irú nǹkan bẹ́ẹ̀ ní Israẹli, ìwọ má ṣe hùwà òmùgọ̀ yìí.
13 And I where? will I bring reproach my and you you will be like one of the fools in Israel and now speak please to the king for not he will withhold me from you.
Àti èmi, níbo ni èmi ó gbé ìtìjú mi wọ̀? Ìwọ ó sì dàbí ọ̀kan nínú àwọn aṣiwèrè ní Israẹli. Ǹjẹ́ nítorí náà, èmi bẹ̀ ọ́, sọ fún ọba; nítorí pé òun kì yóò kọ̀ láti fi mí fún ọ.”
14 And not he was willing to listen to voice her and he was strong more than her and he humbled her and he lay with with her.
Ṣùgbọ́n ó kọ̀ láti gbọ́ ohùn rẹ̀; ó sì fi agbára mú un, ó sì ṣẹ́gun rẹ̀, ó sì bá a dàpọ̀.
15 And he hated her Amnon hatred great very that [was] great the hatred which he hated her more than [the] love which he had loved her and he said to her Amnon get up go.
Amnoni sì kórìíra rẹ̀ gidigidi, ìríra náà sì wá ju ìfẹ́ tí òun ti ní sí i rí lọ. Amnoni sì wí fún un pé, “Dìde, kí o sì máa lọ!”
16 And she said to him may not [the] causes of the evil great this [be] more than [the] other which you have done with me to send away me and not he was willing to listen to her.
Òun sì wí fún un pé, “Kó ha ní ìdí bí! Lílé tí ìwọ ń lé mi yìí burú ju èyí tí ìwọ ti ṣe sí mi lọ.” Ṣùgbọ́n òun kò fẹ́ gbọ́ tirẹ̀.
17 And he summoned young man his [who] served him and he said send away please this [woman] from with me the outside towards and lock the door after her.
Òun sì pe ọmọ ọ̀dọ̀ rẹ̀ tí í ṣe ìránṣẹ́ rẹ̀, ó sì wí fún un pé, “Jọ̀wọ́, ti obìnrin yìí sóde fún mi, kí o sì ti ìlẹ̀kùn mọ́ ọn.”
18 And [was] on her a long garment of palms and soles for thus they wore [the] daughters of the king the virgins robes and he made go out her servant his the outside and he locked the door after her.
Òun sì ní aṣọ aláràbarà kan lára rẹ̀, nítorí irú aṣọ àwọ̀lékè bẹ́ẹ̀ ni àwọn ọmọbìnrin ọba tí í ṣe wúńdíá máa ń wọ̀. Ìránṣẹ́ rẹ̀ sì mú un jáde, ó sì ti ìlẹ̀kùn mọ́ ọn.
19 And she took Tamar ash[es] on head her and [the] long garment of the palms and soles which [was] on her she tore and she put hand her on head her and she went continuously and she cried out.
Tamari sì bu eérú sí orí rẹ̀, ó sì fa aṣọ aláràbarà tí ń bẹ lára rẹ̀ ya, ó sì ká ọwọ́ rẹ̀ lé orí, ó sì ń kígbe bí ó ti ń lọ.
20 And he said to her Absalom brother her ¿ Amnon brother your has he been with you and now O sister my keep silent [is] brother your he may not you set heart your to the matter this and she dwelt Tamar a desolate [woman] [the] house of Absalom brother her.
Absalomu ẹ̀gbọ́n rẹ̀ sì bí i léèrè pé, “Amnoni ẹ̀gbọ́n rẹ bá ọ sùn bí? Ǹjẹ́ àbúrò mi, dákẹ́; ẹ̀gbọ́n rẹ ní í ṣe; má fi nǹkan yìí sí ọkàn rẹ.” Tamari sì jókòó ní ìbànújẹ́ ní ilé Absalomu ẹ̀gbọ́n rẹ̀.
21 And the king David he heard all the things these and it burned to him exceedingly.
Ṣùgbọ́n nígbà tí Dafidi ọba gbọ́ gbogbo nǹkan wọ̀nyí, inú rẹ̀ bàjẹ́ gidigidi.
22 And not he spoke Absalom with Amnon from bad and unto good for he hated Absalom Amnon on [the] thing that he had humbled Tamar sister his.
Absalomu kò sì bá Amnoni sọ nǹkan rere, tàbí búburú, nítorí pé Absalomu kórìíra Amnoni nítorí èyí tí ó ṣe, àní tí ó fi agbára mú Tamari àbúrò rẹ̀.
23 And it was to two years days and they belonged shearers to Absalom at Baal Hazor which [is] near Ephraim and he invited Absalom all [the] sons of the king.
Ó sì ṣe, lẹ́yìn ọdún méjì, Absalomu sì ní olùrẹ́run àgùntàn ní Baali-Hasori, èyí tí ó gbé Efraimu, Absalomu sì pe gbogbo àwọn ọmọ ọba.
24 And he went Absalom to the king and he said here! please shearers [belong] to servant your let him go please the king and servants his with servant your.
Absalomu sì tọ ọba wá, ó sì wí pé, “Wò ó, jọ̀wọ́, ìránṣẹ́ rẹ ní olùrẹ́run àgùntàn, èmi bẹ̀ ọ́, jẹ́ kí ọba, àti àwọn ìránṣẹ́ rẹ̀ bá ìránṣẹ́ rẹ lọ.”
25 And he said the king to Absalom may [we] not O son my may not please we go all of us and not we will be heavy on you and he urged him and not he was willing to go and he blessed him.
Ọba sì wí fún Absalomu pé, “Bẹ́ẹ̀ kọ, ọmọ mi, mo bẹ̀ ọ́, má ṣe jẹ́ kí gbogbo wa lọ, kí a má bá à mú ọ náwó púpọ̀.” Ó sì rọ̀ ọ́ gidigidi, ṣùgbọ́n òun kò fẹ́ lọ, òun sì súre fún un.
26 And he said Absalom and not let him go please with us Amnon brother my and he said to him the king why? will he go with you.
Absalomu sì wí pé, “Bí kò bá le rí bẹ́ẹ̀, èmi bẹ̀ ọ́, jẹ́ kí Amnoni ẹ̀gbọ́n mi bá wa lọ.” Ọba sì wí pé, “Ìdí rẹ̀ tí yóò fi bá ọ lọ.”
27 And he urged him Absalom and he sent with him Amnon and all [the] sons of the king.
Absalomu sì rọ̀ ọ́, òun sì jẹ́ kí Amnoni àti gbogbo àwọn ọmọ ọba bá a lọ.
28 And he commanded Absalom servants his saying look please when is good [the] heart of Amnon with the wine and I will say to you strike down Amnon and you will kill him may not you be afraid ¿ In-deed I I have commanded you be strong and become sons of strength.
Absalomu sì fi àṣẹ fún àwọn ìránṣẹ́ rẹ̀ pé, “Kí ẹ̀yin máa kíyèsi àkókò tí ọtí-wáinì yóò mú ọkàn Amnoni dùn, èmi ó sì wí fún yín pé, ‘Kọlu Amnoni,’ kí ẹ sì pa á. Ẹ má bẹ̀rù. Ṣé èmi ni ó fi àṣẹ fún yin? Ẹ ṣe gírí, kí ẹ ṣe bí alágbára ọmọ.”
29 And they did [the] servants of Absalom to Amnon just as he had commanded Absalom and they arose - all [the] sons of the king and they mounted each on mule his and they fled.
Àwọn ìránṣẹ́ Absalomu sì ṣe sí Amnoni gẹ́gẹ́ bí Absalomu ti pàṣẹ. Gbogbo àwọn ọmọ ọba sì dìde, olúkúlùkù gun ìbáaka rẹ̀, wọ́n sì sá.
30 And it was they [were] on the way and the report it came to David saying he has struck down Absalom all [the] sons of the king and not he is left of them one.
Nígbà tí wọ́n ń bẹ lọ́nà, ìròyìn sì dé ọ̀dọ̀ Dafidi pé, “Absalomu pa gbogbo àwọn ọmọ ọba, ọ̀kan kò sì kù nínú wọn.”
31 And he arose the king and he tore garments his and he lay down [the] ground towards and all servants his [were] standing torn of garments.
Ọba sì dìde, ó sì fa aṣọ rẹ̀ ya, ó sì dùbúlẹ̀ ni ilẹ̀; gbogbo àwọn ìránṣẹ́ rẹ̀ tí wọ́n dúró tì í sì fà aṣọ wọn ya.
32 And he answered Jonadab - [the] son of Shimeah [the] brother of David and he said may not he say lord my all the young men [the] sons of the king they have killed for Amnon to only him he has died for on [the] mouth of Absalom it was determined from [the] day humbled he Tamar sister his.
Jonadabu ọmọ Ṣimea arákùnrin Dafidi sì dáhùn ó sì wí pé, “Kí olúwa mi ọba má ṣe rò pé wọ́n ti pa gbogbo àwọn ọ̀dọ́mọdékùnrin àwọn ọmọ ọba; nítorí pé Amnoni nìkan ṣoṣo ni ó kú, nítorí láti ẹnu Absalomu wá ni a ti pinnu rẹ̀ láti ọjọ́ tí ó ti fi agbára mú Tamari àbúrò rẹ̀.
33 And therefore may not he set lord my the king to heart his a word saying all [the] sons of the king they have died that (except *Q(K)*) Amnon to only him he has died.
Ǹjẹ́ kí olúwa mi ọba má ṣe fi nǹkan yìí sí ọkàn pé gbogbo àwọn ọmọ ọba ni o kú, nítorí Amnoni nìkan ṣoṣo ni ó kú.”
34 And he fled Absalom and he lifted up the servant who kept watch (eyes his *Q(K)*) and he saw and there! a people numerous [was] coming from [the] road behind him (at the descent and he went the watchman and he told to the king and he said men I saw [were] going down from direction of Horonaim *X*) from [the] side of the mountain.
Absalomu sì sá. Ọ̀dọ́mọkùnrin náà ti ń ṣọ́nà sì gbé ojú rẹ̀ sókè, o si rí i pé, “Ọ̀pọ̀ ènìyàn ń bọ́ lọ́nà lẹ́yìn rẹ̀ láti ìhà òkè wá.”
35 And he said Jonadab to the king there! [the] sons of the king they have come according to [the] word of servant your so it has happened.
Jonadabu sì wí fún ọba pé, “Wò ó, àwọn ọmọ ọba ń bọ́; gẹ́gẹ́ bí ọ̀rọ̀ ìránṣẹ́ rẹ̀, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni ó rí.”
36 And it was - when finished he to speak and there! [the] sons of the king they came and they lifted up voice their and they wept and also the king and all servants his they wept a weeping a great very.
Nígbà tí ó sì parí ọ̀rọ̀ tí ó ń sọ, sì wò ó àwọn ọmọ ọba dé, wọ́n sì gbé ohùn wọn sókè, wọ́n sì sọkún, ọba àti gbogbo àwọn ìránṣẹ́ rẹ̀ pẹ̀lú sì sọkún ńlá ńlá.
37 And Absalom he fled and he went to Talmai [the] son of (Ammihud *Q(K)*) [the] king of Geshur and he mourned on son his all the days.
Absalomu sì sá, ó sì tọ Talmai lọ, ọmọ Ammihudu, ọba Geṣuri. Dafidi sì ń káàánú nítorí ọmọ rẹ̀ lójoojúmọ́.
38 And Absalom he fled and he went Geshur and he was there three years.
Absalomu sì sá, ó sì lọ sí Geṣuri ó sì gbé ibẹ̀ lọ́dún mẹ́ta.
39 And it [fem] completed David the king to go out against Absalom for he was comforted on Amnon that he had died.
Ọkàn Dafidi ọba sì fà gidigidi sí Absalomu, nítorí tí ó tí gba ìpẹ̀ ní ti Amnoni: ó sá à ti kú.
