< 2 Samuel 13 >
1 And it was after thus and [belonged] to Absalom [the] son of David a sister a beautiful and name her [was] Tamar and he loved her Amnon [the] son of David.
Absalọm nwa Devid nwere otu nwanne nwanyị mara mma, aha ya bụ Tama. Ma Amnọn, otu nʼime ụmụ ndị ikom Devid, hụrụ nwaagbọghọ a nʼanya.
2 And it was distress to Amnon to make himself sick for sake of Tamar sister his for [was] a virgin she and it was difficult in [the] eyes of Amnon to do to her anything.
Ma ịhụnanya a Amnọn hụrụ Tama nwanne ya nwanyị mere ya ka ọ daa ọrịa, nʼihi na ọ bụ ihe rara Amnọn ahụ ịchọpụta ụzọ ya na Tama ga-esi nwee mmekọ, ebe ọ bụ na Tama bụ nwaagbọghọ na-amaghị nwoke.
3 And [belonged] to Amnon a friend and name his [was] Jonadab [the] son of Shimeah [the] brother of David and Jonadab [was] a man shrewd very.
Ma Amnọn nwere otu enyi dị aghụghọ, onye aha ya bụ Jonadab, nwa Shimea, nwanne Devid.
4 And he said to him why? [are] you thus weak O son of the king in the morning in the morning ¿ not will you tell to me and he said to him Amnon Tamar [the] sister of Absalom brother my I [am] loving.
Otu ụbọchị, Jonadab bịakwutere Amnọn jụọ ya sị, “Gịnị mere, gị bụ nwa eze ji na-ata ahụ ụtụtụ niile? Ọ bụ na ị gaghị akọrọ m?” Amnọn gwara ya sị, “Ahụrụ m Tama nʼanya, bụ nwanne Absalọm, nwanne m nwoke.”
5 And he said to him Jonadab lie down on bed your and make yourself sick and he will come father your to see you and you will say to him let her come please Tamar sister my and let her cause to eat me food and she will make to eyes my the food so that that I may see and I will eat from hand her.
Jonadab gwara ya sị, “Ọ dị mma. Lee ihe ị ga-eme. Gaa dinaa ala, dịka a ga-asị na ahụ adịghị gị. Mgbe nna gị bịara ileta gị, gwa ya okwu sị ya, ‘Achọrọ m ka nwanne m nwanyị bụ Tama bịa nye m ihe oriri. Achọrọ m ka ọ nọdụ nʼihu m sie nri ahụ, mgbe m na-ele ya anya, ka o jirikwa aka ya nye m nri ahụ.’”
6 And he lay down Amnon and he made himself sick and he came the king to see him and he said Amnon to the king let her come please Tamar sister my and let her make cakes to eyes my two cakes so I may eat from hand her.
Amnọn mere otu a. Mgbe eze bịara ileta ya, Amnọn rịọrọ ya sị, “Biko, ka Tama bịa ebe a gheere m achịcha ole na ole ebe m ga-ahụ ya anya. Ka o jirikwa aka ya dozie ya nʼihu m ka m rie ya.”
7 And he sent David to Tamar the house towards saying go please [the] house of Amnon brother your and make for him the food.

8 And she went Tamar [the] house of Amnon brother her and he [was] lying down and she took the dough (and she kneaded [it] *Q(k)*) and she made cakes to eyes his and she cooked the cakes.
Tama gara nʼụlọ Amnọn, banyekwa nʼime ụlọ ebe o dinaa, ka Amnọn na-ele ya anya mgbe ọ na-agwọgharị ụtụ ọka. Emesịa, Tama gheere ya achịcha mara mma.
9 And she took the pan and she poured out before him and he refused to eat and he said Amnon send out every person from with me and they went out every person from with him.
Mgbe o cheziri achịcha ahụ nʼihu Amnọn, Amnọn jụrụ iri ya. Ihe o mere mgbe ahụ bụ inye ndị na-ejere ya ozi nọ nʼebe ahụ iwu sị ha niile pụọ ngwangwa. Ha niile pụkwara.
10 And he said Amnon to Tamar bring the food the chamber so I may eat from hand your and she took Tamar the cakes which she had made and she brought [them] to Amnon brother her the chamber towards.
Mgbe ahụ, Amnọn gwara Tama okwu sị, “Ugbu a, wetara m nri ahụ nʼime ụlọ ndina m, bịa jiri aka gị nye m ya.” Tama bugaara ya achịcha ahụ nʼime ụlọ ebe ihe ndina ya dị.
11 And she brought [them] to him to eat and he took hold on her and he said to her come lie with me O sister my.
Ma mgbe Tama guzo nʼihu ya, Amnọn jidere ya nʼike sị ya, “Bịa, soro m dinaa, nwanne m nwanyị.”
12 And she said to him may [you] not O brother my may not you humble me for not it will be done thus in Israel may not you do the disgraceful folly this.
Tama zara sị ya, “Mba! Nwanne m nwoke. Emerụla m. Ihe dị otu a ekwesighị ime nʼala Izrel. Emela ihe ọjọọ dị otu a.
13 And I where? will I bring reproach my and you you will be like one of the fools in Israel and now speak please to the king for not he will withhold me from you.
Olee ihe ga-abụ ọnọdụ m? Oleekwanụ ihe ga-abụ ọnọdụ gị? Olee ebe m ga-agbala izo onwe m nʼihi ihe ihere ga-adịrị m ma i mee ihe dị otu a? Ị ga-adị ka otu nʼime ndị nzuzu ọjọọ dị nʼIzrel. Biko, gwa eze, ọ ga-ekwe ka ị lụọ m.”
14 And not he was willing to listen to voice her and he was strong more than her and he humbled her and he lay with with her.
Ma Amnọn egeghị ntị. Ebe ọ bụ na ọ ka Tama ike, o jidere ya dinaa ya nʼike merụọ ya.
15 And he hated her Amnon hatred great very that [was] great the hatred which he hated her more than [the] love which he had loved her and he said to her Amnon get up go.
Emesịa, Amnọn kpọrọ Tama asị. Nʼezie, ọ kpọrọ ya asị ugbu a karịa ịhụnanya ọ hụrụ ya na mbụ. Ọ gwara Tama okwu sị ya, “Bilie si nʼebe a pụọ ọsịịsọ!”
16 And she said to him may not [the] causes of the evil great this [be] more than [the] other which you have done with me to send away me and not he was willing to listen to her.
Ma Tama kwara akwa sị ya, “Mba! Ịjụ m otu a ka njọ karịa ihe ọjọọ i mere m.” Ma Amnọn egeghị ya ntị.
17 And he summoned young man his [who] served him and he said send away please this [woman] from with me the outside towards and lock the door after her.
Ọ kpọrọ nwokorobịa na-ejere ya ozi sị ya, “Chụpụ nwanyị a nʼezi, kpachiere m ụzọ nʼazụ.”
18 And [was] on her a long garment of palms and soles for thus they wore [the] daughters of the king the virgins robes and he made go out her servant his the outside and he locked the door after her.
Onyeozi ya chụpụrụ ya nʼezi, kpachie ụzọ nʼazụ ya. Uwe mwụda nwere aka ogologo ka Tama yi, nʼihi na ọ bụ ụdị nke ụmụ ndị inyom eze na-amaghị nwoke na-eyi.
19 And she took Tamar ash[es] on head her and [the] long garment of the palms and soles which [was] on her she tore and she put hand her on head her and she went continuously and she cried out.
Tama dọwara uwe mwụda ahụ o yi nʼahụ, werekwa ntụ kpokwasị onwe ya nʼisi, buru aka ya nʼisi na-eti mkpu akwa dịka ọ na-ala.
20 And he said to her Absalom brother her ¿ Amnon brother your has he been with you and now O sister my keep silent [is] brother your he may not you set heart your to the matter this and she dwelt Tamar a desolate [woman] [the] house of Absalom brother her.
Nwanne ya nwoke, Absalọm jụrụ ya sị, “Amnọn, nwanne gị nwoke, o dinakwuuru gị? Ma ugbu a, nwanne m, gba nkịtị, nwanne gị nwoke ka ọ bụ. Etinyela ihe a mere nʼobi.” Tama nọrọ dịka onye mmadụ niile jụrụ ajụ nʼụlọ nwanne ya nwoke, bụ Absalọm.
21 And the king David he heard all the things these and it burned to him exceedingly.
Mgbe eze Devid nụrụ ihe ndị a niile, iwe were ya nke ukwuu.
22 And not he spoke Absalom with Amnon from bad and unto good for he hated Absalom Amnon on [the] thing that he had humbled Tamar sister his.
Absalọm agwaghị Amnọn okwu ọbụla, maọbụ nke dị mma, maọbụ okwu ọjọọ. Ma ọ kpọrọ Amnọn asị nke ukwuu nʼihi ọnọdụ iweda nʼala o wedara nwanne ya Tama, mee ya ihe ihere.
23 And it was to two years days and they belonged shearers to Absalom at Baal Hazor which [is] near Ephraim and he invited Absalom all [the] sons of the king.
Mgbe afọ abụọ gasịrị, mgbe ndị na-akpụchara Absalọm ajị ụmụ atụrụ ya nọ na Baal-Hazọ, nʼoke ala Ifrem, ọ kpọkọtara ụmụ ndị ikom eze niile ka ha bịa nʼebe ahụ.
24 And he went Absalom to the king and he said here! please shearers [belong] to servant your let him go please the king and servants his with servant your.
Absalọm jekwuuru eze sị ya, “Ndị na-akpụcha ajị ụmụ atụrụ ohu gị bịara. Eze na ndịisi ozi ya, ha ga-abịa sonyere m?”
25 And he said the king to Absalom may [we] not O son my may not please we go all of us and not we will be heavy on you and he urged him and not he was willing to go and he blessed him.
Ma eze zara sị ya, “Mba, nwa m, anyị niile agaghị abịa, anyị ga-abụ ibu dị arọ nye gị.” Nʼagbanyeghị na Absalọm rugidere ya ma o kweghị aga, kama ọ gọziri ya.
26 And he said Absalom and not let him go please with us Amnon brother my and he said to him the king why? will he go with you.
Mgbe ahụ, Absalọm rịọrọ nna ya sị, “Ọ dị mma, ọ bụrụ na ị gaghị abịa, ị ga-emekwa ka nwanna m nwoke Amnọn, na ụmụ eze ndị ọzọ bịa?” Eze jụrụ ya sị, “Nʼihi gịnị ka Amnọn ga-eji soro gị gaa?”
27 And he urged him Absalom and he sent with him Amnon and all [the] sons of the king.
Ma Absalọm rụgidere ya, ya mere o zipụrụ Amnọn na ụmụ eze ndị ọzọ ka ha soro ya gaa.
28 And he commanded Absalom servants his saying look please when is good [the] heart of Amnon with the wine and I will say to you strike down Amnon and you will kill him may not you be afraid ¿ In-deed I I have commanded you be strong and become sons of strength.
Mgbe ahụ, Absalọm nyere ndị na-ejere ya ozi iwu banyere Amnọn sị, “Cherenụ ruo mgbe mmanya bidoro igbu ya, mgbe m sịkwara unu tigbuo ya, unu atụla egwu, tigbuonụ ya. Ọ bụ m na-ekwu ihe ga-eme nʼebe a. Nweenụ obi ike, meekwanụ ya.”
29 And they did [the] servants of Absalom to Amnon just as he had commanded Absalom and they arose - all [the] sons of the king and they mounted each on mule his and they fled.
Mgbe oge ruru, ndị ozi Absalọm tigburu Amnọn. Mgbe ahụ, ụmụ eze niile biliri makwasị nʼịnyịnya ha gbalaga.
30 And it was they [were] on the way and the report it came to David saying he has struck down Absalom all [the] sons of the king and not he is left of them one.
Mgbe ha ka nọ nʼụzọ na-agbaga Jerusalem, ozi eruolarị Devid ntị sị, “Absalọm egbuchaala ụmụ eze niile, ọ dịkwaghị otu onye nʼime ha fọdụrụ ndụ!”
31 And he arose the king and he tore garments his and he lay down [the] ground towards and all servants his [were] standing torn of garments.
Eze biliri ọtọ, dọwaa uwe ya, daa nʼala, gbatịa onwe ya nʼihi obi ọjọọ. Ndị na-ejere ya ozi dọwakwara uwe ha nʼihi egwu na obi ọjọọ.
32 And he answered Jonadab - [the] son of Shimeah [the] brother of David and he said may not he say lord my all the young men [the] sons of the king they have killed for Amnon to only him he has died for on [the] mouth of Absalom it was determined from [the] day humbled he Tamar sister his.
Ma Jonadab, nwa Shimea, nwanne Devid, sịrị, “Onyenwe m, echekwala na e gburu ụmụ ndị ikom eze niile, kama ọ bụ naanị Amnọn! Nke a bụ ihe Absalọm jikere ime site mgbe Amnọn wakporo nwanne ya nwanyị bụ Tama, dina ya.
33 And therefore may not he set lord my the king to heart his a word saying all [the] sons of the king they have died that (except *Q(K)*) Amnon to only him he has died.
Ma ugbu a, ka onyenwe m bụ eze ghara itinye akụkọ banyere ọnwụ ụmụ ndị ikom eze niile, nʼobi ya. Ọ bụ naanị Amnọn nwụrụ.”
34 And he fled Absalom and he lifted up the servant who kept watch (eyes his *Q(K)*) and he saw and there! a people numerous [was] coming from [the] road behind him (at the descent and he went the watchman and he told to the king and he said men I saw [were] going down from direction of Horonaim *X*) from [the] side of the mountain.
Ma Absalọm gbara ọsọ gbalaga. Ọ dịghị anya nwoke na-anọ nʼelu mgbidi Jerusalem na-eche nche, lepụrụ anya hụ ndị mmadụ ka ha si nʼụzọ dị nʼakụkụ ugwu nta na-abịa. Nwoke ahụ gara gwa eze sị ya, “Ahụrụ m ndị si nʼakụkụ Horonaim, nʼakụkụ ugwu na-abịa.”
35 And he said Jonadab to the king there! [the] sons of the king they have come according to [the] word of servant your so it has happened.
Jonadab gwara eze sị, “Lee, ọ bụ ụmụ ndị ikom eze na-alọta dịka m kwuru.”
36 And it was - when finished he to speak and there! [the] sons of the king they came and they lifted up voice their and they wept and also the king and all servants his they wept a weeping a great very.
Mgbe ha lọbatara, ha bidoro ịkwa akwa nke ukwuu. Eze na ndị na-ejere ya ozi sokwa kwaa akwa.
37 And Absalom he fled and he went to Talmai [the] son of (Ammihud *Q(K)*) [the] king of Geshur and he mourned on son his all the days.
Absalọm gbara ọsọ gbakwuru Talmai nwa Amihud, eze Geshua. Ma eze Devid ruru ụjụ nke ukwuu maka ọnwụ Amnọn.
38 And Absalom he fled and he went Geshur and he was there three years.
Mgbe Absalọm gbara ọsọ gbaga Geshua, ọ nọrọ nʼebe ahụ afọ atọ.
39 And it [fem] completed David the king to go out against Absalom for he was comforted on Amnon that he had died.
Ọ gụrụ eze bụ Devid agụụ ịgakwuru Absalọm, nʼihi ọ kasịela obi maka ọnwụ Amnọn.
