2 Samuel 13
1 And it was after thus and [belonged] to Absalom [the] son of David a sister a beautiful and name her [was] Tamar and he loved her Amnon [the] son of David.
Og det skete derefter, da Absalom, Davids Søn, havde en dejlig Søster, hvis Navn var Thamar, at Amnon, Davids Søn, elskede hende.
2 And it was distress to Amnon to make himself sick for sake of Tamar sister his for [was] a virgin she and it was difficult in [the] eyes of Amnon to do to her anything.
Og Amnon pintes, saa at han blev syg for Thamar, sin Søsters, Skyld; thi hun var en Jomfru, og det syntes umuligt for Amnons Øjne at gøre hende noget.
3 And [belonged] to Amnon a friend and name his [was] Jonadab [the] son of Shimeah [the] brother of David and Jonadab [was] a man shrewd very.
Men Amnon havde en Ven, hvis Navn var Jonadab, en Søn af Simea, Davids Broder, og Jonadab var en saare klog Mand.
4 And he said to him why? [are] you thus weak O son of the king in the morning in the morning ¿ not will you tell to me and he said to him Amnon Tamar [the] sister of Absalom brother my I [am] loving.
Og han sagde til ham: Hvorfor bliver du saa mager, du Kongens Søn, Dag for Dag? kan du ikke give mig det til Kende? Da sagde Ammon til ham: Jeg elsker Thamar, Absaloms, min Broders, Søster.
5 And he said to him Jonadab lie down on bed your and make yourself sick and he will come father your to see you and you will say to him let her come please Tamar sister my and let her cause to eat me food and she will make to eyes my the food so that that I may see and I will eat from hand her.
Og Jonadab sagde til ham: Læg dig paa din Seng og gør dig syg; naar din Fader kommer at besøge dig, da sig til ham: Kære, lad Thamar, min Søster, komme, at give mig Brød at æde og lave Mad for mine Øjne, at jeg kan se derpaa og æde af hendes Haand.
6 And he lay down Amnon and he made himself sick and he came the king to see him and he said Amnon to the king let her come please Tamar sister my and let her make cakes to eyes my two cakes so I may eat from hand her.
Saa lagde Amnon sig og gjorde sig syg; der Kongen kom at besøge ham, da sagde Amnon til Kongen: Kære, lad Thamar, min Søster, komme og tillave to søde Kager for mine Øjne, at jeg kan æde af hendes Haand.
7 And he sent David to Tamar the house towards saying go please [the] house of Amnon brother your and make for him the food.
Da sendte David til Thamar i Huset og lod sige: Kære, gak hen i Amnons, din Broders, Hus og lav ham Mad.
8 And she went Tamar [the] house of Amnon brother her and he [was] lying down and she took the dough (and she kneaded [it] *Q(k)*) and she made cakes to eyes his and she cooked the cakes.
Og Thamar gik til Amnons, sin Broders, Hus, og han laa, og hun tog en Dejg og æltede og tillavede Kager for hans Øjne og bagte søde Kager.
9 And she took the pan and she poured out before him and he refused to eat and he said Amnon send out every person from with me and they went out every person from with him.
Og hun tog Panden og slog dem ud for hans Ansigt, men han vægrede sig for at æde; da sagde Amnon: Lad hver Mand gaa ud fra mig, og de gik ud fra ham alle sammen.
10 And he said Amnon to Tamar bring the food the chamber so I may eat from hand your and she took Tamar the cakes which she had made and she brought [them] to Amnon brother her the chamber towards.
Da sagde Amnon til Thamar: Bær Maden ind i Kammeret, at jeg kan æde af din Haand; da tog Thamar de søde Kager, som hun havde lavet, og bar dem ind til Amnon, sin Broder, i Kammeret.
11 And she brought [them] to him to eat and he took hold on her and he said to her come lie with me O sister my.
Og der hun bar dem frem til ham, at han skulde æde, da tog han fat paa hende og sagde til hende: Kom, min Søster, og lig hos mig.
12 And she said to him may [you] not O brother my may not you humble me for not it will be done thus in Israel may not you do the disgraceful folly this.
Og hun sagde til ham: Ikke saa, min Broder! krænk mig ikke, thi man bør ikke saaledes gøre i Israel; gør ikke denne Daarlighed.
13 And I where? will I bring reproach my and you you will be like one of the fools in Israel and now speak please to the king for not he will withhold me from you.
Men jeg, hvor skulde jeg gaa hen med min Skam? og du, du skulde være ligesom en af Daarerne i Israel; men nu, kære, tal til Kongen, thi han nægter dig mig ikke.
14 And not he was willing to listen to voice her and he was strong more than her and he humbled her and he lay with with her.
Men han vilde ikke høre paa hendes Røst og var stærkere end hun, og han krænkede hende og laa hos hende.
15 And he hated her Amnon hatred great very that [was] great the hatred which he hated her more than [the] love which he had loved her and he said to her Amnon get up go.
Siden hadede Amnon hende med et saare stort Had; thi det Had, som han hadede hende med, var større end Kærligheden, med hvilken han havde elsket hende; og Amnon sagde til hende: Staa op, gak bort.
16 And she said to him may not [the] causes of the evil great this [be] more than [the] other which you have done with me to send away me and not he was willing to listen to her.

17 And he summoned young man his [who] served him and he said send away please this [woman] from with me the outside towards and lock the door after her.
Og han kaldte ad sin Dreng, som tjente ham, og sagde: Driv dog denne ud fra mig udenfor, og luk du Døren i Laas efter hende.
18 And [was] on her a long garment of palms and soles for thus they wore [the] daughters of the king the virgins robes and he made go out her servant his the outside and he locked the door after her.
Og hun havde en broget Kjortel paa; thi i saadanne Kjortler plejede Kongens Døtre at klæde sig, saalænge de vare Jomfruer; og hans Tjener drev hende ud udenfor og lukkede Døren i Laas efter hende.
19 And she took Tamar ash[es] on head her and [the] long garment of the palms and soles which [was] on her she tore and she put hand her on head her and she went continuously and she cried out.
Da tog Thamar Aske paa sit Hoved og sønderrev den brogede Kjortel, som hun havde paa, og lagde sin Haand paa sit Hoved og gik og raabte uafladelig.
20 And he said to her Absalom brother her ¿ Amnon brother your has he been with you and now O sister my keep silent [is] brother your he may not you set heart your to the matter this and she dwelt Tamar a desolate [woman] [the] house of Absalom brother her.
Og Absalom, hendes Broder, sagde til hende: Har din Broder Amnon været hos dig? og nu, min Søster, ti! han er din Broder, læg ikke denne Sag paa dit Hjerte. Saa sad Thamar enlig i sin Broder Absaloms Hus.
21 And the king David he heard all the things these and it burned to him exceedingly.
Der Kong David hørte alle disse Gerninger, da blev han saare vred.
22 And not he spoke Absalom with Amnon from bad and unto good for he hated Absalom Amnon on [the] thing that he had humbled Tamar sister his.
Men Absalom talede ikke med Amnon, hverken ondt eller godt; men Absalom hadede Amnon, fordi han havde krænket Thamar, hans Søster.
23 And it was to two years days and they belonged shearers to Absalom at Baal Hazor which [is] near Ephraim and he invited Absalom all [the] sons of the king.
Og det skete to Aar derefter, da havde Absalom Faareklipning i Baal-Hazor, som er ved Efraim, og Absalom indbød alle Kongens Børn.
24 And he went Absalom to the king and he said here! please shearers [belong] to servant your let him go please the king and servants his with servant your.
Og Absalom kom til Kongen og sagde: Kære, se, din Tjener har Faareklipning, Kongen og hans Tjenere komme dog med din Tjener!
25 And he said the king to Absalom may [we] not O son my may not please we go all of us and not we will be heavy on you and he urged him and not he was willing to go and he blessed him.
Og Kongen sagde til Absalom: Nej, min Søn, lad os dog ikke alle gaa, at vi ikke skulle besvære dig; der han nødte ham, vilde han dog ikke gaa, men velsignede ham.
26 And he said Absalom and not let him go please with us Amnon brother my and he said to him the king why? will he go with you.
Og Absalom sagde: Hvis du ikke vil, lad dog Amnon, min Broder, gaa med os; og Kongen sagde til ham: Hvorfor skal han gaa med dig?
27 And he urged him Absalom and he sent with him Amnon and all [the] sons of the king.
Da nødte Absalom ham, og han lod Amnon og alle Kongens Børn gaa med ham.
28 And he commanded Absalom servants his saying look please when is good [the] heart of Amnon with the wine and I will say to you strike down Amnon and you will kill him may not you be afraid ¿ In-deed I I have commanded you be strong and become sons of strength.
Men Absalom bød sine unge Karle og sagde: Ser til, naar Amnons Hjerte er vel til Mode af Vinen, og jeg siger til eder: Slaar Amnon! saa dræber ham, frygter ikke; er det ikke mig, som har befalet eder det? værer frimodige og værer raske Folk!
29 And they did [the] servants of Absalom to Amnon just as he had commanded Absalom and they arose - all [the] sons of the king and they mounted each on mule his and they fled.
Saa gjorde Absaloms unge Karle ved Amnon, saaledes som Absalom havde befalet. Da stode alle Kongens Sønner op og rede hver paa sin Mule og flyede.
30 And it was they [were] on the way and the report it came to David saying he has struck down Absalom all [the] sons of the king and not he is left of them one.
Og det skete, der de vare paa Vejen, da kom Rygtet til David, og der sagdes: Absalom har slaget alle Kongens Sønner, og der blev ikke een af dem tilovers.
31 And he arose the king and he tore garments his and he lay down [the] ground towards and all servants his [were] standing torn of garments.
Da stod Kongen op og sønderrev sine Klæder og lagde sig paa Jorden, og alle hans Tjenere stode med sønderrevne Klæder.
32 And he answered Jonadab - [the] son of Shimeah [the] brother of David and he said may not he say lord my all the young men [the] sons of the king they have killed for Amnon to only him he has died for on [the] mouth of Absalom it was determined from [the] day humbled he Tamar sister his.
Da svarede Jonadab, en Søn af Simea, Davids Broder, og sagde: Min Herre sige ikke, at de have ihjelslaget alle de unge Mænd, Kongens Sønner; thi Amnon alene er død; thi det Forsæt har været i Absaloms Mund fra den Dag, at han krænkede Thamar, hans Søster.
33 And therefore may not he set lord my the king to heart his a word saying all [the] sons of the king they have died that (except *Q(K)*) Amnon to only him he has died.
Saa lægge nu min Herre Konge ikke det Ord paa sit Hjerte, som siges, at alle Kongens Sønner ere døde; thi Amnon alene er død.
34 And he fled Absalom and he lifted up the servant who kept watch (eyes his *Q(K)*) and he saw and there! a people numerous [was] coming from [the] road behind him (at the descent and he went the watchman and he told to the king and he said men I saw [were] going down from direction of Horonaim *X*) from [the] side of the mountain.
Men Absalom flyede. Og den unge Karl, som stod paa Vagt, opløftede sine Øjne og saa, og se, der drog meget Folk frem paa Vejen efter hverandre ved Siden af Bjerget.
35 And he said Jonadab to the king there! [the] sons of the king they have come according to [the] word of servant your so it has happened.
Da sagde Jonadab til Kongen: Se, Kongens Sønner komme; som din Tjeners Ord var, saaledes er det sket.
36 And it was - when finished he to speak and there! [the] sons of the king they came and they lifted up voice their and they wept and also the king and all servants his they wept a weeping a great very.
Og det skete, der han havde endt at tale, se, da kom Kongens Sønner, og de opløftede deres Røst og græd, og Kongen ogsaa, og alle hans Tjenere græd med en saare stor Graad.
37 And Absalom he fled and he went to Talmai [the] son of (Ammihud *Q(K)*) [the] king of Geshur and he mourned on son his all the days.
Men Absalom flyede og drog til Thalmaj, Ammihuds Søn, Kongen i Gesur. Og han sørgede over sin Søn alle de Dage.
38 And Absalom he fled and he went Geshur and he was there three years.
Der Absalom var flygtet og var draget til Gesur, da blev han der tre Aar.
39 And it [fem] completed David the king to go out against Absalom for he was comforted on Amnon that he had died.
Og Kong David længtes efter at drage ud til Absalom; thi han havde trøstet sig over Amnon, der var død.
