< 2 Samuel 13 >
1 And it was after thus and [belonged] to Absalom [the] son of David a sister a beautiful and name her [was] Tamar and he loved her Amnon [the] son of David.
Te phoeiah om tih David capa Absalom tah a ngannu sakthen om. Anih ming tah Tamar tih David capa Amnon loh a lungnah.
2 And it was distress to Amnon to make himself sick for sake of Tamar sister his for [was] a virgin she and it was difficult in [the] eyes of Amnon to do to her anything.
A ngannu Tamar kong ah Amnon te tloh laa yuek. Anih te a oila pueng dongah khat khat a saii ham Amnon mik ah rhaisang.
3 And [belonged] to Amnon a friend and name his [was] Jonadab [the] son of Shimeah [the] brother of David and Jonadab [was] a man shrewd very.
Te vaengah David maya Shimeah capa, a ming ah Jonadab tah Amnon kah a paya la om. Jonadab tah bahoeng aka cueih hlang la om.
4 And he said to him why? [are] you thus weak O son of the king in the morning in the morning ¿ not will you tell to me and he said to him Amnon Tamar [the] sister of Absalom brother my I [am] loving.
Te dongah anih te, “Ba aih lae mincang bal, mincang bal nang manghai capa he na tattloel aih. Kai taengah na thui mahpawt a?” a tinah. Te daengah Amnon loh, Ka manuca Absalom ngannu Tamar ka ngaih,” a tinah.
5 And he said to him Jonadab lie down on bed your and make yourself sick and he will come father your to see you and you will say to him let her come please Tamar sister my and let her cause to eat me food and she will make to eyes my the food so that that I may see and I will eat from hand her.
Te dongah anih te Jehonadab loh, “Na thingkong dongah satlo bangla yalh. NangTe sawt hamla na pa ha pawk vaengah amah taengah, 'Ka ngannu Tamar ha pawk laeh vetih kai buh n'tuh lah mako. Ka mikhmuh ah buhmaeha saii te ka hmu dae eh. Te daengah ni a kut dongkah ka caak eh?,’ ti nah,” a tinah.
6 And he lay down Amnon and he made himself sick and he came the king to see him and he said Amnon to the king let her come please Tamar sister my and let her make cakes to eyes my two cakes so I may eat from hand her.
AmnonTe satlo bangla yalh toengloeng tih anihTe sawt hamla manghai te ha pawk. Te vaengah Amnon loh manghai taengah, “Ka ngannu Tamar ha pawk laeh saeh lamtah ka mikhmuh ah vaidam panit ah saii saeh. Te daengah ni anih kut lamkah te ka caak eh?,” a tinah.
7 And he sent David to Tamar the house towards saying go please [the] house of Amnon brother your and make for him the food.
Te dongah David loh Tamar tea im laa tah tih, “Na nganpa Amnon im la cet lamtah anih ham buhmaeh saii pah laeh,” a tinah.
8 And she went Tamar [the] house of Amnon brother her and he [was] lying down and she took the dough (and she kneaded [it] *Q(k)*) and she made cakes to eyes his and she cooked the cakes.
TamarTe a nganpa Amnon im la a caeh vaengah anih te ana yalhpah. Vaidamtlam tea loh tih a duep, a duep phoeiah a mikhmuh aha saiipah. Te phoeiah vaidam tea thongpah.
9 And she took the pan and she poured out before him and he refused to eat and he said Amnon send out every person from with me and they went out every person from with him.
Thi-am tea loh tih a mikhmh aha poep pah hatah caak hamlaa aal. Te phoeiah Amnon loh, “Ka taeng lamkah hlang he boeih tueih uh,” a tinah. Te dongah hlang boeihTe anih taeng lamloh nonguh.
10 And he said Amnon to Tamar bring the food the chamber so I may eat from hand your and she took Tamar the cakes which she had made and she brought [them] to Amnon brother her the chamber towards.
Te phoeiah Amnon loh Tamar te, “Imkhui la buhmaeh hang khuen lamtah na kut dongah ka ca eh?,” a tinah. Te dongah vaidama saii te Tamar loh a loh tih imkhui kah a nganpa Amnon taenglaa kun puei.
11 And she brought [them] to him to eat and he took hold on her and he said to her come lie with me O sister my.
A caak ham a taengaha tawn pah vaengah tah amah te vik a tuuk tih, “Ka ngannu halo lamtah kamah neh yalh sih,” a tinah.
12 And she said to him may [you] not O brother my may not you humble me for not it will be done thus in Israel may not you do the disgraceful folly this.
Tedae anih te, “Ka nganpa aw te tlam moenih, kai m'poeih boeh, Israel khuiah te bang te a saii noek moenih. Boethaehalang he saii boeh.
13 And I where? will I bring reproach my and you you will be like one of the fools in Israel and now speak please to the king for not he will withhold me from you.
Kai he kamah kah kokhahnah neh melam ka caeh eh. Namah khaw Israel khuiah hlang ang boeiloeih bangla na om ve. Manghai taengah thui kanoek lamtah nang taengah tah kai khaw n'hloh mahpawh,” a ti nah.
14 And not he was willing to listen to voice her and he was strong more than her and he humbled her and he lay with with her.
Tedae a ol te yaak ngaih pawh. A ngannuTe rhapa kop tiha yalh puei.
15 And he hated her Amnon hatred great very that [was] great the hatred which he hated her more than [the] love which he had loved her and he said to her Amnon get up go.
Te phoeiah tah anih te Amnon loh lat a hnoel tih a hmuhuetnah bahoenga nahpah. A thiinah vaengkah a hmuhuetnah tea lungnah vaengkah lungnah lakah nah. Te dongah anih te Amnon loh, “Thoo, cet laeh,” a tinah.
16 And she said to him may not [the] causes of the evil great this [be] more than [the] other which you have done with me to send away me and not he was willing to listen to her.
Amnon te, “He lakaha tloe la aka len boethae kah a kong a mai he a om moenih. Kai nan saii tih nan haek te,” a tinah. Tedae anih ol te yaak ngaih voel pawh.
17 And he summoned young man his [who] served him and he said send away please this [woman] from with me the outside towards and lock the door after her.
Te dongah amah aka khut a taengca te, “Anih te kai taeng lamloh kawtpoeng la tueih uh lamtah anih hnukah thohkhaih te kalh laeh,” a tinah.
18 And [was] on her a long garment of palms and soles for thus they wore [the] daughters of the king the virgins robes and he made go out her servant his the outside and he locked the door after her.
Te vaengah a pum dongah pendum angkidung a bai. Te bangTe manghai canu rhoek loh oila kah hnikul la a baiuh. Amnon aka khut loh Tamar te vongvoel la a thak tih a hnukah thohkhaih te kalh.
19 And she took Tamar ash[es] on head her and [the] long garment of the palms and soles which [was] on her she tore and she put hand her on head her and she went continuously and she cried out.
Tamar loh a lu dongah hmaiphua phul tih a pum dongkah pendum angkidung khaw a phen. Te phoeiah a kutTe a lu dongaha pingpoei tiha caeh, caeh doeah rhap.
20 And he said to her Absalom brother her ¿ Amnon brother your has he been with you and now O sister my keep silent [is] brother your he may not you set heart your to the matter this and she dwelt Tamar a desolate [woman] [the] house of Absalom brother her.
Te dongah anih te a nganpa Absalom loh, “Na nganpa Amnon a nang taengah aka om? Ka ngannu na hilphah laeh aniha nang nganpa, he olka dongah na lungbuei khueh boeh,” a tinah. Te dongah Tamar tah a nganpa Absalom im ah kho a sak tih pong van.
21 And the king David he heard all the things these and it burned to him exceedingly.
Tedae he rhoek kah olka boeih te manghai David loh a yaak vaengah amah khaw muep sai coeng.
22 And not he spoke Absalom with Amnon from bad and unto good for he hated Absalom Amnon on [the] thing that he had humbled Tamar sister his.
A ngannu Tamara poeih dongkah olka dongah Absalom loh Amnon te a hmuhuet tiha thaea then akhaw Absalom loh Amnon te voek pawh.
23 And it was to two years days and they belonged shearers to Absalom at Baal Hazor which [is] near Ephraim and he invited Absalom all [the] sons of the king.
A kum khohnina pha vaengah Ephraim taengkah Baalhazor ah Absalom ham mul voka saii uh tih manghai ca rhoek boeih te Absalom loh a khue.
24 And he went Absalom to the king and he said here! please shearers [belong] to servant your let him go please the king and servants his with servant your.
Te dongah AbsalomTe manghai taengla kun tih, “Na sal ham mul aka vo rhoek cet uh pawn ni ke, manghai namah neh, na sal neh a sal rhoekTe ta,” a tinah.
25 And he said the king to Absalom may [we] not O son my may not please we go all of us and not we will be heavy on you and he urged him and not he was willing to go and he blessed him.
Manghai loh Absalom te, “Ka capa te tlam moenih, mamih boeih n'cet tarha mahpawh, Te daengah ni namah te n'nan pawt eh?,” a ti nah. A taengaha cahoeh ngawn dae paan pah ham tah huem pawt tih anihTe yoethen a paek.
26 And he said Absalom and not let him go please with us Amnon brother my and he said to him the king why? will he go with you.
Absalom loh, “Te pawt atah ka maya Amnon tah kaimih taengah m'paan mai mako,” a tinah. Tedae amah te manghai loh, “Balae tih nang te m'paan eh?,” a tinah.
27 And he urged him Absalom and he sent with him Amnon and all [the] sons of the king.
Tedae anih te Absalom loh a cahoeh dongah Amnon neh manghai capa rhoek boeih te a taenglaa tueihpah.
28 And he commanded Absalom servants his saying look please when is good [the] heart of Amnon with the wine and I will say to you strike down Amnon and you will kill him may not you be afraid ¿ In-deed I I have commanded you be strong and become sons of strength.
Te vaengah Absalom loh a tueihyoeih rhoek tea uen tih, “Misurtui lamloh Amnon kah lungbueia umya vaengah hmu uh laeh, nangmih taengah, 'Amnon te ngawn uh lamtah duek sak uh, anih te rhih uh boeh, nangmih te kang uen pawt nim? Ning uh lamtah tatthai capa bangla om uh,’ ka ti,” a tinah.
29 And they did [the] servants of Absalom to Amnon just as he had commanded Absalom and they arose - all [the] sons of the king and they mounted each on mule his and they fled.
Te dongah Absalom kah a uen bangla Amnon te Absalom kah tueihyoeih rhoek loh a saiiuh. Te dongah manghai capa rhoek tah boeih thoo uh tih a muli-marhang dongah rhip ngol uh tih rhaelrhamuh.
30 And it was they [were] on the way and the report it came to David saying he has struck down Absalom all [the] sons of the king and not he is left of them one.
Amih te a longpueng uh vaengah olthang tah David taengla pawk coeng tih, “Absalom loh manghai capa rhoekTe boeiha ngawn tih amih te pakhat khaw a hlun moenih,” a tinah.
31 And he arose the king and he tore garments his and he lay down [the] ground towards and all servants his [were] standing torn of garments.
Te dongah manghai te thoo tih a himbai tea phen tih lai dongah yalh. Te vaengah a sal aka pai rhoek boeih long khaw himbai te a phenuh.
32 And he answered Jonadab - [the] son of Shimeah [the] brother of David and he said may not he say lord my all the young men [the] sons of the king they have killed for Amnon to only him he has died for on [the] mouth of Absalom it was determined from [the] day humbled he Tamar sister his.
Tedae David maya Shimeah capa Jonadab loh a doo tih, “Ka boeipa loh manghai capa camoe rhoek la rhenten thui boeh. Amnon amah bueng ni a ngawnuh. A ngannu Tamar tea poeih pah hnin lamloh anihTe Absalom loh a ka dongaha ngawn tangtae la a khueh coeng.
33 And therefore may not he set lord my the king to heart his a word saying all [the] sons of the king they have died that (except *Q(K)*) Amnon to only him he has died.
Te dongah manghai capa rhoek boeih duek coeng a ti olTe ka boeipa manghai loh a lungbuei ah khueh boel saeh. Amnon amah bueng ni a duek,” a tinah.
34 And he fled Absalom and he lifted up the servant who kept watch (eyes his *Q(K)*) and he saw and there! a people numerous [was] coming from [the] road behind him (at the descent and he went the watchman and he told to the king and he said men I saw [were] going down from direction of Horonaim *X*) from [the] side of the mountain.
Absaloma yong vaengah rhaltawt camoe te a mik, mik ah a dan. Te vaengah anih hnukah tlang hlaep longpuei ah aka cet pilnamTe yetTe kaka hmuh.
35 And he said Jonadab to the king there! [the] sons of the king they have come according to [the] word of servant your so it has happened.
Te dongah Jonadab loh manghai taengah, “Manghai capa rhoek ha pawk uh coeng ke, na sal kah ol bangla om tangkhuet,” a tinah.
36 And it was - when finished he to speak and there! [the] sons of the king they came and they lifted up voice their and they wept and also the king and all servants his they wept a weeping a great very.
A thuiTe a khah van neh manghai capa rhoekTe pahoi ha pawkuh. Te vaengah a ola huel uh tih rhapuh. Te dongah manghai neh a sal rhoek boeih khaw rhahnah neh a nah la hluk hluk rhapuh.
37 And Absalom he fled and he went to Talmai [the] son of (Ammihud *Q(K)*) [the] king of Geshur and he mourned on son his all the days.
AbsalomTe yong tih Geshur manghai Ammihud capa Talmai taengla cet. Tedae a capa dongah hnin takuem nguekcoi.
38 And Absalom he fled and he went Geshur and he was there three years.
AbsalomTe yong tih Geshuri la aka cetTe kum thum pahoi om.
39 And it [fem] completed David the king to go out against Absalom for he was comforted on Amnon that he had died.
Tedae David manghai tah Amnona duek dongah te hal tih Absalom taenglaa caeh ham khaw a toeng.
