2 Samuel 12
1 And he sent Yahweh Nathan to David and he came to him and he said to him two men they were in a city one one [was] rich and one [was] poor.
Och Herren sände Nathan till David. När han kom till honom, sade han till honom: Det voro två män uti en stad; den ene rik, den andre fattig.
2 To [the] rich [man] it belonged flock[s] and herd[s] many very.
Den rike hade ganska mycken får och fä;
3 And [belonged] to the poor [man] not anything that except a ewe-lamb one small which he had acquired and he nourished it and it grew up with him and with children his together from morsel his it ate and from cup his it drank and in bosom his it lay down and it was to him like a daughter.
Men den fattige icke utan ett litet får, hans endesta, hvilket han köpt hade, och uppfödde det, att det uppväxte när honom, och bredovid hans barn. Det åt af hans beta, och drack af hans drickekar, och sof i hans famn, och han höll det såsom ena dotter.
4 And he came a traveler to [the] man rich and he spared to take one of own sheep his and one of own cattle his to prepare for the traveler who had come to him and he took [the] ewe-lamb of the man poor and he prepared it for the man who had come to him.
Men då till den rika mannen kom en gäst, nändes han icke taga af sin får och fä, till att tillreda något åt den gästen, som till honom kommen var; och tog den fattiga mannens får, och redde det till för den mannen, som till honom kommen var.
5 And it burned [the] anger of David on the man exceedingly and he said to Nathan [by] [the] life of Yahweh for [is] a son of death the man who did this.
Då förgrymmade sig David med stora vrede emot den mannen, och sade till Nathan: Så sant som Herren lefver, den mannen är dödsens barn, som detta gjort hafver.
6 And the ewe-lamb he will restore fourfold consequence that he did the thing this and on that not he showed pity.
Dertill skall han betala fåret fyradubbelt igen, efter han sådant gjort hafver, och icke hade det fördrag.
7 And he said Nathan to David you [are] the man thus he says Yahweh [the] God of Israel I I anointed you to king over Israel and I I delivered you from [the] hand of Saul.
Då sade Nathan till David: Du äst den mannen. Så säger Herren Israels Gud: Jag hafver smort dig till en Konung öfver Israel, och hafver frälst dig utu Sauls hand;
8 And I gave! to you [the] house of master your and [the] wives of master your in bosom your and I gave! to you [the] house of Israel and Judah and if little and I will add to you like those and like those.
Och hafver gifvit dig dins herras hus; dertill hans hustrur i din famn, och hafver gifvit dig Israels hus och Juda; och är det icke nog, vill jag ännu det och det göra dig dertill.
9 Why? have you despised - [the] word of Yahweh by doing the evil (in eyes my *Q(K)*) Uriah the Hittite you struck down with the sword and wife his you took for yourself to a wife and him you killed with [the] sword of [the] people of Ammon.
Hvi hafver du då föraktat Herrans ord, att du sådant ondt för hans ögon göra skulle? Uria den Hetheen hafver du slagit med svärd; hans hustru hafver du tagit dig till hustru; men honom hafver du dräpit med Ammons barnas svärd.
10 And therefore not it will depart [the] sword from house your until perpetuity consequence for you despised me and you took [the] wife of Uriah the Hittite to become of you a wife.
Nu, så skall icke svärd återvända af ditt hus till evig tid; efter du hafver föraktat mig, och Uria den Hetheens hustru tagit, att hon skall vara din hustru.
11 Thus - he says Yahweh here I [am] about to raise up on you calamity from own house your and I will take wives your to eyes your and I will give [them] to neighbor your and he will lie with wives your to [the] eyes of the sun this.
Detta säger Herren: Si, jag skall uppväcka ondt öfver dig, utaf ditt eget hus, och skall taga dina hustrur för din ögon, och skall gifva dinom nästa, att han skall ligga när dina hustrur om ljusa dagen.
12 For you you acted in secret and I I will do the thing this before all Israel and before the sun.
Ty du hafver gjort det hemliga; men jag vill detta göra för hela Israel, på ljusa dagen.
13 And he said David to Nathan I have sinned to Yahweh. And he said Nathan to David also Yahweh he has taken away sin your not you will die.
Då sade David till Nathan: Jag hafver syndat emot Herranom. Nathan sade till David: Så hafver ock Herren tagit din synd bort; du skall icke dö.
14 Nevertheless for indeed you have declared contemptible [the] enemies of Yahweh by the thing this also the son born to you certainly he will die.
Men efter du hafver med detta ärendet kommit Herrans fiendar till att förhäda, skall den sonen, som dig födder är, döden dö.
15 And he went Nathan to house his and he struck Yahweh the child whom she had borne [the] wife of Uriah to David and he was sick.
Och Nathan gick hem i sitt hus. Men Herren slog barnet, som Uria hustru David födt hade, så att det vardt dödssjukt.
16 And he sought David God for the lad and he fasted David a fast and he went and he passed [the] night and he lay (in the sackcloth *X*) [the] ground towards.
Och David bad Gud om barnet, och fastade, och gick in, och låg öfver natt ena på jordene.
17 And they stood [the] elders of house his with him to raise him from the ground and not he was willing and not he ate with them food.
Då stodo upp de äldste i hans hus, och ville rätta honom upp af jordene; men han ville icke, och åt icke heller med dem.
18 And it was on the day seventh and he died the child and they were afraid [the] servants of David to tell to him - that he had died the child for they said here! when was the child alive we spoke to him and not he listened to voice our and how? will we say to him he has died the child and he will do harm.
På sjunde dagenom blef barnet dödt; och Davids tjenare torde icke säga honom att barnet var dödt; ty de tänkte: Si, då barnet ännu var lefvandes, talade vi med honom, och han hörde vår röst intet; huru mycket mer skall det göra honom ondt, om vi säge: Barnet är dödt?
19 And he saw David that servants his [were] whispering to one another and he understood David that he had died the child and he said David to servants his ¿ has he died the child and they said he has died.
Och David fick se att hans tjenare talade i mjugg, och förmärkte att barnet var dödt, och sade till sina tjenare: Är barnet dödt? De sade: Ja.
20 And he arose David from the ground and he bathed and he anointed himself and he changed (garments his *Q(K)*) and he went [the] house of Yahweh and he bowed down and he went to own house his and he asked and they set for him food and he ate.
Då stod David upp af jordene, och tvådde sig, och smorde sig, och lade annor kläder uppå, och gick in uti Herrans hus, och tillbad; och då han kom hem igen i sitt hus, lät han komma mat upp för sig, och åt.
21 And they said servants his to him what? [is] the thing this which you have done for sake of the child [was] alive you fasted and you wept and just when he died the child you arose and you ate food.
Då sade hans tjenare till honom: Hvad är det för ett ting, som du gör? Då barnet lefde, fastade du, och gret; men nu, sedan det dödt är, står du upp, och äter!
22 And he said while still the child [was] alive I fasted and I wept for I said who? [is] knowing (and he will show favor to me *Q(K)*) Yahweh and he will live the child.
Han sade: För barnets skull fastade jag, och gret, då det lefde; ty jag tänkte: Ho vet, om Herren varder mig nådelig, så att barnet må blifva vid lif.
23 And now - he has died why? this [am] I fasting ¿ am I able to bring back him again I [am] going to him and he not he will return to me.
Men nu, sedan det dödt är, hvad skulle jag fasta? Kan jag ock hemta honom igen? Jag går väl till honom, men han kommer intet till mig igen.
24 And he comforted David Bath-sheba wife his and he went into her and he lay with her and she bore a son (and she called *Q(K)*) name his Solomon and Yahweh he loved him.
Och då David hade hugsvalat sina hustru BathSeba, gick han in till henne, och sof när henne; och hon födde en son, den kallade han Salomo; och Herren älskade honom.
25 And he sent by [the] hand of Nathan the prophet and he called name his Jedidiah for sake of Yahweh.
Och han fick honom under Nathans hand, Prophetens; han kallade honom JedidJa, för Herrans skull.
26 And he fought Joab against Rabbah of [the] people of Ammon and he captured [the] city of royalty.
Så stridde nu Joab emot Rabba Ammons barnas, och vann den Konungsliga staden;
27 And he sent Joab messengers to David and he said I have fought against Rabbah also I have captured [the] city of the waters.
Och sände båd till David, och lät säga honom: Jag hafver stridt emot Rabba, och hafver ock vunnit vattustaden.
28 And therefore gather [the] rest of the people and encamp on the city and capture it lest I should take I the city and it will be called name my on it.
Så tag nu tillhopa det folk, som qvart är, och belägg staden, och vinn honom; på det att jag icke vinner honom, och får der namnet af.
29 And he gathered David all the people and he went Rabbah towards and he fought against it and he captured it.
Alltså tog David allt folket tillhopa, och drog åstad, och stridde emot Rabba, och vann honom;
30 And he took [the] crown of king their from on head his and weight its [was] a talent of gold and a stone precious and it was on [the] head of David and [the] plunder of the city he brought out much very.
Och tog deras Konungs krono utaf hans hufvud, hvilken hade i vigt en centener guld, och ädla stenar; och den vardt satt David på hans hufvud; och förde ganska mycket rof utu staden.
31 And the people which [was] in it he brought out and he set [them] at the saws and at [the] picks of iron and at [the] axes of iron and he caused to pass them (in the brick mold[s] *Q(K)*) and thus he did to all [the] cities of [the] people of Ammon and he returned David and all the people Jerusalem.
Och folket derinne förde han ut, och lade dem under jernsågar och taggar, och jernkilar, och brände dem upp uti tegelugnar; så gjorde han alla Ammons barnas städer. Så vände då David och allt folket om igen till Jerusalem.
