2 Samuel 10
1 And it was after thus and he died [the] king of [the] people of Ammon and he reigned Hanun son his in place his.
Después de esto, la muerte llegó al rey de los hijos de Amón, y Hanun, su hijo, se convirtió en rey en su lugar.
2 And he said David I will do covenant loyalty - with Hanun [the] son of Nahash just as he did father his with me covenant loyalty and he sent David to comfort him by [the] hand of servants his concerning father his and they came [the] servants of David [the] land of [the] people of Ammon.
Y David dijo: Seré amigo de Hanun, el hijo de Nahas, como su padre fue mi amigo. Entonces David envió a sus siervos para darle palabras de consuelo a causa de su padre. Y vinieron los siervos de David a la tierra de los hijos de Amón.
3 And they said [the] leaders of [the] people of Ammon to Hanun lord their ¿ honoring [is] David father your in view your for he has sent to you comforters ¿ not in order to explore the city and to spy on it and to overthrow it has he sent David servants his to you.
Pero los jefes de los hijos de Amón dijeron a Hanun su señor: ¿Te parece que David está honrando a tu padre enviándote consoladores? ¿No ha enviado a sus sirvientes para que pasen por el pueblo y lo observen en secreto y luego destruirla?
4 And he took Hanun [the] servants of David and he shaved half of beard their and he cut off robes their at the middle to buttocks their and he sent away them.
Entonces Hanun tomó a los sirvientes de David, y después de cortar la mitad del cabello en sus barbillas, y cortando las faldas de sus túnicas hasta descubrir las nalgas, después los envió lejos.
5 And people told to David and he sent to meet them for they were the men humiliated very and he said the king remain at Jericho until it will grow back beard your and you will return.
Cuando David tuvo noticias de ello, envió a los hombres con el propósito de encontrarlos en su camino, porque los hombres se avergonzaron enormemente: y el rey dijo: Ve a Jericó hasta que tus cabellos vuelvan a ser largos, y luego Vuelve.
6 And they saw [the] people of Ammon that they had made themselves odious with David and they sent [the] people of Ammon and they hired Aram Beth Rehob and Aram Zobah twenty thousand foot soldier[s] and [the] king of Maacah one thousand man and [the] man of Tob two [plus] ten thousand man.
Y cuando los hijos de Amón vieron que se habían hecho odiosos por David, enviaron a los arameos de Bet-rehob y Soba, y pagaron veinte mil soldados sirios, y del rey de Maaca mil hombres, y de Is-tob doce mil.
7 And he heard David and he sent Joab and all the army the warriors.
Y al oír esto, David envió a Joab, a todo el ejército y a los mejores combatientes.
8 And they went out [the] people of Ammon and they deployed battle [the] entrance of the gate and Aram Zobah and Rehob and [the] man of Tob and Maacah to alone them [were] in the open country.
Salieron los hijos de Amón y pusieron sus fuerzas en orden de batalla en el camino hacia el pueblo, mientras que los arameos de Soba y de Rehob, con los hombres de Is-tob y Maaca, estaban solos en el campo.
9 And he saw Joab that it was against him [the] face of the battle from before and from behind and he chose some of all [the] chosen [men] (of Israel *Q(K)*) and he deployed [them] to meet Aram.
Cuando Joab vio que sus fuerzas estaban en posición contra él delante y detrás de él, tomó lo mejor de los hombres de Israel y los puso en fila contra los arameos;
10 And [the] rest of the people he put in [the] hand of Abishai brother his and he deployed [them] to meet [the] people of Ammon.
Y el resto de la gente se puso en posición contra los hijos de Amón, con Abisai, su hermano, a la cabeza.
11 And he said if it will be [too] strong Aram for me and you will become of me deliverance and if [the] people of Ammon they will be [too] strong for you and I will come to deliver you.
Y él dijo: Si los sirios son más fuertes y me superan, entonces debes venir en mi ayuda; Pero si los hijos de Ammón te vencen, acudiré en tu ayuda.
12 Be strong so we may show ourselves strong for people our and for [the] cities of God our and Yahweh he will do the good in view his.
Anímate y seamos fuertes para nuestro pueblo y para los pueblos de nuestro Dios, y que el Señor haga lo que le parezca bien.
13 And he drew near Joab and the people which [was] with him for battle in Aram and they fled from before him.
Entonces Joab y su ejército avanzaron a la lucha contra los sirios, y huyeron delante de él.
14 And [the] people of Ammon they saw that it had fled Aram and they fled from before Abishai and they went the city and he returned Joab from on [the] people of Ammon and he came Jerusalem.
Y cuando los hijos de Amón vieron la huida de los sirios, ellos mismos huyeron de Abisai y entraron en la ciudad. Entonces Joab dejó de pelear con los hijos de Amón y vino a Jerusalén.
15 And it saw Aram that it was defeated before Israel and they gathered themselves together.
Y cuando los sirios vieron que Israel los había vencido, se juntaron otra vez.
16 And he sent Hadadezer and he brought out Aram which [was] from [the] other side of the River and they came Helam and Shobach [the] commander of [the] army of Hadadezer [was] before them.
Y Hadad Ezer envió a los sirios que estaban al otro lado del río: y llegaron a Helam, con sobac, el capitán del ejército de Hadad Ezer, a la cabeza.
17 And it was told to David. And he gathered all Israel and he passed over the Jordan and he came Helam towards and they deployed Aram to meet David and they did battle with him.
Y se le comunicó esto a David: y juntó a todo Israel, pasó por el Jordán y fue a Helam. Y los sirios pusieron sus tropas en posición contra David, e hicieron un ataque contra él.
18 And it fled Aram from before Israel and he killed David of Aram seven hundred charioteer[s] and forty thousand horsemen and Shobach [the] commander of army its he struck down and he died there.
Y los sirios huyeron delante de Israel; y David puso a la espada a setecientos hombres de caballería arameos y cuarenta mil hombres de infantería, y Sobac, el capitán del ejército, resultó herido y allí murió.
19 And they saw all the kings [the] servants of Hadadezer that they were defeated before Israel and they made peace with Israel and they served them and they were afraid Aram to deliver again [the] people of Ammon.
Y cuando todos los reyes que eran siervos de Hadad Ezer vieron que fueron vencidos por Israel, hicieron la paz con Israel y se convirtieron en sus siervos. Así que los sirios, con miedo, no dieron más ayuda a los hijos de Amón.
