2 Samuel 10
1 And it was after thus and he died [the] king of [the] people of Ammon and he reigned Hanun son his in place his.
Depois disto aconteceu, que morreu o rei dos filhos de Amom: e reinou em lugar seu Hanum seu filho.
2 And he said David I will do covenant loyalty - with Hanun [the] son of Nahash just as he did father his with me covenant loyalty and he sent David to comfort him by [the] hand of servants his concerning father his and they came [the] servants of David [the] land of [the] people of Ammon.
E disse Davi: Eu farei misericórdia com Hanum filho de Naás, como seu pai a fez comigo. E enviou Davi seus servos a consolá-lo por seu pai. Mas chegados os servos de Davi à terra dos filhos de Amom,
3 And they said [the] leaders of [the] people of Ammon to Hanun lord their ¿ honoring [is] David father your in view your for he has sent to you comforters ¿ not in order to explore the city and to spy on it and to overthrow it has he sent David servants his to you.
Os príncipes dos filhos de Amom disseram a Hanum seu senhor: Parece-te que para Davi honrar a teu pai te enviou consoladores? Não enviou Davi seus servos a ti por reconhecer e inspecionar a cidade, para destruí-la?
4 And he took Hanun [the] servants of David and he shaved half of beard their and he cut off robes their at the middle to buttocks their and he sent away them.
Então Hanum tomou os servos de Davi, e rapou-lhes a metade da barba, e cortou-lhes as roupas pela metade até as nádegas, e despachou-os.
5 And people told to David and he sent to meet them for they were the men humiliated very and he said the king remain at Jericho until it will grow back beard your and you will return.
O qual quando foi feito saber a Davi, enviou a encontrar-lhes, porque eles estavam em extremo envergonhados; e o rei fez dizer lhes: Ficai-vos em Jericó até que vos volte a nascer a barba, e então regressareis.
6 And they saw [the] people of Ammon that they had made themselves odious with David and they sent [the] people of Ammon and they hired Aram Beth Rehob and Aram Zobah twenty thousand foot soldier[s] and [the] king of Maacah one thousand man and [the] man of Tob two [plus] ten thousand man.
E vendo os filhos de Amom que se fizeram odiosos a Davi, enviaram os filhos de Amom e alugaram aos sírios da casa de Reobe, e aos sírios de Zobá, vinte mil homens a pé: e do rei de Maaca mil homens, e de Tobe doze mil homens.
7 And he heard David and he sent Joab and all the army the warriors.
O qual quando ouviu Davi, enviou a Joabe com todo o exército dos valentes.
8 And they went out [the] people of Ammon and they deployed battle [the] entrance of the gate and Aram Zobah and Rehob and [the] man of Tob and Maacah to alone them [were] in the open country.
E saindo os filhos de Amom, ordenaram seus esquadrões à entrada da porta: mas os sírios de Zobá, e de Reobe, e de Tobe, e de Maaca, estavam à parte no campo.
9 And he saw Joab that it was against him [the] face of the battle from before and from behind and he chose some of all [the] chosen [men] (of Israel *Q(K)*) and he deployed [them] to meet Aram.
Vendo, pois, Joabe que havia esquadrões diante e detrás dele, escolheu de todos os escolhidos de Israel, e pôs-se em ordem contra os sírios.
10 And [the] rest of the people he put in [the] hand of Abishai brother his and he deployed [them] to meet [the] people of Ammon.
Entregou logo o que restou do povo em mão de Abisai seu irmão, e o pôs em ordem para encontrar aos amonitas.
11 And he said if it will be [too] strong Aram for me and you will become of me deliverance and if [the] people of Ammon they will be [too] strong for you and I will come to deliver you.
E disse: Se os sírios me forem superiores, tu me ajudarás; e se os filhos de Amom puderem mais que tu, eu te darei ajuda.
12 Be strong so we may show ourselves strong for people our and for [the] cities of God our and Yahweh he will do the good in view his.
Esforça-te, e esforcemo-nos por nosso povo, e pelas cidades de nosso Deus: e faça o SENHOR o que bem lhe parecer.
13 And he drew near Joab and the people which [was] with him for battle in Aram and they fled from before him.
E aproximou-se Joabe, e o povo que com ele estava, para lutar com os sírios; mas eles fugiram diante dele.
14 And [the] people of Ammon they saw that it had fled Aram and they fled from before Abishai and they went the city and he returned Joab from on [the] people of Ammon and he came Jerusalem.
Então os filhos de Amom, vendo que os sírios haviam fugido, fugiram também eles diante de Abisai, e entraram-se na cidade. E voltou Joabe dos filhos de Amom, e veio a Jerusalém.
15 And it saw Aram that it was defeated before Israel and they gathered themselves together.
Mas vendo os sírios que haviam caído diante de Israel, voltaram a se juntar.
16 And he sent Hadadezer and he brought out Aram which [was] from [the] other side of the River and they came Helam and Shobach [the] commander of [the] army of Hadadezer [was] before them.
E enviou Hadadezer, e tirou os sírios que estavam da outra parte do rio, os quais vieram a Helã, levando por chefe a Sobaque general do exército de Hadadezer.
17 And it was told to David. And he gathered all Israel and he passed over the Jordan and he came Helam towards and they deployed Aram to meet David and they did battle with him.
E quando foi dado aviso a Davi, juntou a todo Israel, e passando o Jordão veio a Helã: e os sírios se puseram em ordem contra Davi, e lutaram com ele.
18 And it fled Aram from before Israel and he killed David of Aram seven hundred charioteer[s] and forty thousand horsemen and Shobach [the] commander of army its he struck down and he died there.
Mas os sírios fugiram diante de Israel: e feriu Davi dos sírios a gente de setecentos carros, e quarenta mil cavaleiros: feriu também a Sobaque general do exército, e morreu ali.
19 And they saw all the kings [the] servants of Hadadezer that they were defeated before Israel and they made peace with Israel and they served them and they were afraid Aram to deliver again [the] people of Ammon.
Vendo, pois todos os reis que assistiam a Hadadezer, como haviam eles sido derrotados diante de Israel, fizeram paz com Israel, e serviram-no; e dali adiante temeram os sírios de socorrer aos filhos de Amom.
