2 Samuel 10
1 And it was after thus and he died [the] king of [the] people of Ammon and he reigned Hanun son his in place his.
Ammon koca rhoek kah manghai a duek phoeiah anih yueng la a capa Hanun te tloep manghai.
2 And he said David I will do covenant loyalty - with Hanun [the] son of Nahash just as he did father his with me covenant loyalty and he sent David to comfort him by [the] hand of servants his concerning father his and they came [the] servants of David [the] land of [the] people of Ammon.
Te vaengah David loh, “A napa loh kai soah sitlohnah a tueng sak vanbangla Nahash capa Hanun taengah sitlohnah ka tueng van ni,” a ti. Te dongah a napa kongah anih suem nah te David loh a sal rhoek kut neh a pat tih David kah sal rhoek khaw Ammon koca rhoek kah khohmuen te a pha uh.
3 And they said [the] leaders of [the] people of Ammon to Hanun lord their ¿ honoring [is] David father your in view your for he has sent to you comforters ¿ not in order to explore the city and to spy on it and to overthrow it has he sent David servants his to you.
Te vaengah Ammon koca rhoek kah mangpa rhoek loh a boei Hanun taengah, “David loh na mikhmuh ah na pa a thangpom dongah nang suem hamla han tueih nama? Khopuei te khe ham neh longyam ham pawt nim? Khopuei palet hamla David loh nang taengah a sal rhoek te han tueih,” a ti nah.
4 And he took Hanun [the] servants of David and he shaved half of beard their and he cut off robes their at the middle to buttocks their and he sent away them.
Hanun loh David kah sal rhoek te a khuen tih a hnapae rhakthuem te a vok pah phoeiah, a himbai te a ael ah ngancawn la a saii pah tih amih te a tueih.
5 And people told to David and he sent to meet them for they were the men humiliated very and he said the king remain at Jericho until it will grow back beard your and you will return.
Tedae David taengla a puen uh dongah amih aka doe te a tueih pah. Tekah hlang rhoek tah hmaithae la bahoeng a om uh coeng dongah manghai loh, “Na hmuimul a cawn hil Jerikho ah khosa uh lamtah ha bal uh,” a ti nah.
6 And they saw [the] people of Ammon that they had made themselves odious with David and they sent [the] people of Ammon and they hired Aram Beth Rehob and Aram Zobah twenty thousand foot soldier[s] and [the] king of Maacah one thousand man and [the] man of Tob two [plus] ten thousand man.

7 And he heard David and he sent Joab and all the army the warriors.
David loh a yaak vaengah Joab neh caempuei hlangrhalh rhoek te boeih a tueih.
8 And they went out [the] people of Ammon and they deployed battle [the] entrance of the gate and Aram Zobah and Rehob and [the] man of Tob and Maacah to alone them [were] in the open country.
Te vaengah Ammon ca rhoek te ha pawk uh tih caemtloek ham vongka thohka ah rhong a pai uh. Aramzobah neh Rehob, Tob hlang neh Maakah amah amah bueng te kohong ah om uh.
9 And he saw Joab that it was against him [the] face of the battle from before and from behind and he chose some of all [the] chosen [men] (of Israel *Q(K)*) and he deployed [them] to meet Aram.
A hnuk a hmai ah caemtloek hmapai loh anih a pai thil te Joab loh a hmuh. Te dongah Israel, Israel te a coelh, a coelh tih Aram doe hamla rhong a pai.
10 And [the] rest of the people he put in [the] hand of Abishai brother his and he deployed [them] to meet [the] people of Ammon.
Pilnam hlangrhuel te a maya Abishai kut ah a tloeng tih Ammon ca rhoek doe hamla rhong a pai.
11 And he said if it will be [too] strong Aram for me and you will become of me deliverance and if [the] people of Ammon they will be [too] strong for you and I will come to deliver you.
Te vaengah, “Aram te kai lakah a tanglue atah kai taengah khangnah la ha om ne. Ammon ca rhoek ni nang lakah a tanglue van atah nang taengah khangnah la ka pawk bitni.
12 Be strong so we may show ourselves strong for people our and for [the] cities of God our and Yahweh he will do the good in view his.
Thaahuel lamtah mah pilnam ham neh mamih kah Pathen khopuei rhoek ham thaahuel uh. BOEIPA loh amah mikhmuh ah a then la a saii bitni,” a ti nah.
13 And he drew near Joab and the people which [was] with him for battle in Aram and they fled from before him.
Joab neh a taengkah pilnam tah Aram taengah caemtloek la thoeih. Te dongah a mikhmuh lamkah rhaelrham uh.
14 And [the] people of Ammon they saw that it had fled Aram and they fled from before Abishai and they went the city and he returned Joab from on [the] people of Ammon and he came Jerusalem.
Ammon ca rhoek loh Aram a rhaelrham te a hmuh uh vaengah amamih khaw Abishai mikhmuh lamloh rhaelrham uh tih khopuei la pawk uh. Joab khaw Ammon ca rhoek taeng lamloh mael tih Jerusalem la cet.
15 And it saw Aram that it was defeated before Israel and they gathered themselves together.
Israel mikhmuh ah amah a yawk te Aram loh a hmuh vaengah tun tingtun uh.
16 And he sent Hadadezer and he brought out Aram which [was] from [the] other side of the River and they came Helam and Shobach [the] commander of [the] army of Hadadezer [was] before them.
Te dongah Hadadezer loh tuiva rhalvang kah Aram te a tah tih hang khuen. Te vaengah Hadadezer kah caempuei mangpa Helam neh Shobakh tah amih hmai ah lamhma rhoi.
17 And it was told to David. And he gathered all Israel and he passed over the Jordan and he came Helam towards and they deployed Aram to meet David and they did battle with him.
David taengla a puen pah vaengah Israel tom te a coi tih Jordan te a kat puei. Helam a pha vaengah Aram loh rhongpai neh David te a mah dongah anih neh tloek uh rhoi.
18 And it fled Aram from before Israel and he killed David of Aram seven hundred charioteer[s] and forty thousand horsemen and Shobach [the] commander of army its he struck down and he died there.

19 And they saw all the kings [the] servants of Hadadezer that they were defeated before Israel and they made peace with Israel and they served them and they were afraid Aram to deliver again [the] people of Ammon.
Hadadezer kah sal manghai rhoek loh Israel mikhmuh ah a yawk uh te boeih a hmuh uh daengah Israel te a rhong uh tih a taengah thotat uh. Te phoeiah Aram loh Ammon koca rhoek koep a rhun ham a rhih uh coeng.
