< 2 Kings 6 >

1 And they said [the] sons of the prophets to Elisha here! please the place where we [are] dwelling there before you it is [too] cramped for us.
Ɛda bi adiyifoɔ kuo baa Elisa nkyɛn bɛka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, “Sɛdeɛ wo ara wohunu no, baabi a yɛne wo hyia ha yi sua.
2 Let us go please to the Jordan and let us take from there each a beam one and let us make for ourselves there a place to dwell there and he said go.
Ma yɛnkɔ Asubɔnten Yordan ho a nnua bebree wɔ hɔ. Ɛhɔ deɛ, yɛbɛtumi asi ɛdan foforɔ, ahyia mu wɔ hɔ.” Ɔka kyerɛɛ wɔn sɛ, “Ɛyɛ, monkɔyɛ.”
3 And he said the one be willing please and go with servants your and he said I I will go.
Obi kaa nʼadwene sɛ, “Mesrɛ wo, bɛka yɛn ho na yɛnkɔ.” Ɔkaa sɛ, “Mate yɛbɛkɔ.”
4 And he went with them and they came the Jordan towards and they cut down trees.
Ɛberɛ a wɔduruu Yordan ho no, wɔhyɛɛ aseɛ buu nnua.
5 And it was the one [was] making fall the beam and the iron it fell into the water and he cried out and he said alas! O lord my and it [was] asked.
Nanso, wɔn mu baako rebu dua no, nʼabonnua hɔn tɔɔ nsuo no mu. Ɔteaam sɛ, “Aa! Me wura, ɛyɛ abonnua a mekɔsrɛeɛ!”
6 And he said [the] man of God where? did it fall and he showed him the place and he cut off a piece of wood and he threw [it] there towards and he caused to float the iron.
Onyankopɔn onipa no bisaa sɛ, “Ɛhefa na ɛtɔeɛ?” Ɔkyerɛɛ Elisa baabi ko no, Elisa twaa poma, na ɔto twenee nsuo no mu. Ɛhɔ ara abonnua tire no pagyaa ne ho, bɛtɛɛ nsuo no ani.
7 And he said lift [it] yourself and he stretched out hand his and he took it.
Elisa ka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, “Ma so yi.” Na ɔbarima no tenee ne nsa yiiɛ.
8 And [the] king of Aram he was fighting against Israel and he consulted servants his saying [will be] to a place of a certain one a certain one encampments my.
Ɛberɛ a Aramhene ne Israel redi ako no, ɔne ne mpanimfoɔ tuu agyina, kaa sɛ, “Yɛbɛboaboa yɛn akodɔm ano wɔ ha anaa ɛha.”
9 And he sent [the] man of God to [the] king of Israel saying take care from passing by the place this for there Aram [is] descending.
Ntɛm pa ara, Onyankopɔn onipa Elisa bɔɔ Israelhene kɔkɔ sɛ, “Ntwe mmɛn beaeɛ hɔ, ɛfiri sɛ, Aramfoɔ no reyɛ nhyehyɛeɛ, aboaboa wɔn akodɔm ano wɔ hɔ.”
10 And he sent [the] king of Israel to the place which he had spoken to him [the] man of God (and he warned him *Q(K)*) and he took care there not one [time] and not two [times].
Enti Israelhene hwɛɛ beaeɛ a Onyame onipa kyerɛɛ no no. Elisa kɔɔ so bɔɔ ɔhene no kɔkɔ mpɛn pii, na ɛmaa nʼani daa fam wɔ mmeaeɛ a ɛtete saa no ho.
11 And it was enraged [the] heart of [the] king of Aram on the matter this and he called to servants his and he said to them ¿ not will you tell to me who? from [those] who [belong] to us [is] to [the] king of Israel.
Aramhene werɛ hoo wɔ asɛm yi ho. Ɔfrɛɛ ne mpanimfoɔ bisaa wɔn sɛ, “Mo mu hwan na ɔyɛ ɔfatwafoɔ no? Hwan na ɔka me nhyehyɛeɛ a mayɛ kyerɛ Israelhene?”
12 And he said one from servants his no O lord my the king for Elisha the prophet who [is] in Israel he tells to [the] king of Israel the words which you speak in [the] chamber of lying down your.
Mpanimfoɔ no mu baako buaa sɛ, “Me wura, ɛnyɛ yɛn. Elisa a ɔyɛ odiyifoɔ wɔ Israel no na ɔka wo kɔkoamsɛm kyerɛ Israelhene.”
13 And he said go and see where? [is] he so I may send so I may capture him and it was told to him saying there! in Dothan.
Ɔhene no hyɛɛ sɛ, “Monkɔhwehwɛ baabi a Elisa wɔ, na yɛbɛsoma akodɔm ama wɔakɔkye no.” Na nkra baeɛ sɛ, “Elisa wɔ Dotan.”
14 And he sent there towards horses and chariotry and an army massive and they came night and they surrounded the city.
Enti, anadwo bi, Aramhene somaa akodɔm bebree ne wɔn nteaseɛnam ne wɔn apɔnkɔ kɔtwaa kanko faa kuropɔn no ho.
15 And he rose early [the] servant of [the] man of God to arise and he went out and there! an army [was] surrounding the city and horse[s] and chariotry and he said servant his to him alas! O lord my how? will we do.
Ɛberɛ a Onyankopɔn onipa no ɔsomfoɔ sɔree ahemadakye, sii afikyire no, na akodɔm, apɔnkɔ ne nteaseɛnam atwa hɔ ahyia. Ɔteaam kyerɛɛ Elisa sɛ, “Aa, me wura, ɛdeɛn na yɛnyɛ?”
16 And he said may not you be afraid for [are] many [those] who [are] with us more than [those] who [are] them.
Elisa ka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, “Nsuro na yɛwɔ ɛdɔm sene wɔn.”
17 And he prayed Elisha and he said O Yahweh open please eyes his so he may see and he opened Yahweh [the] eyes of the servant and he saw and there! the hill it was full horses and chariotry of fire around Elisha.
Afei, Elisa bɔɔ mpaeɛ sɛ, “Ao, Awurade, bue nʼani na ma ɔnhunu adeɛ,” Awurade buee ne ɔsomfoɔ ani, na ɔpagyaa nʼani no, ɔhunuu sɛ Elisa nkyɛn mu a ɛkyerɛ bepɔ no, ogya apɔnkɔ ne nteaseɛnam na ayɛ hɔ ma.
18 And they came down to him and he prayed Elisha to Yahweh and he said strike please the nation this with sudden blindness and he struck them with sudden blindness according to [the] word of Elisha.
Ɛberɛ a Aramfoɔ asraadɔm bɔ puaa wɔn no, Elisa bɔɔ mpaeɛ sɛ, “Ao, Awurade, mesrɛ wo, ma wɔn ani mfirafira.” Na Awurade yɛɛ deɛ Elisa bisaeɛ no.
19 And he said to them Elisha not this [is] the way and not this [is] the city come after me so let me lead you to the man whom you seek! and he led them Samaria towards.
Na Elisa firii adi, kɔka kyerɛɛ wɔn sɛ, “Moafa ɛkwan bɔne so aba. Ɛnyɛ kuro a morehwehwɛ no ni. Monni mʼakyi, na mede mo bɛkɔ onipa a morehwehwɛ no no nkyɛn.” Na ɔdii wɔn anim kɔduruu Samaria.
20 And it was when came they Samaria and he said Elisha O Yahweh open [the] eyes of these [men] so they may see and he opened Yahweh eyes their and they saw and there! [they were] in [the] midst of Samaria.
Na wɔduruu Samaria pɛ, Elisa bɔɔ mpaeɛ sɛ, “Ao, Awurade, afei bue wɔn ani, na ma wɔnhunu adeɛ.” Na Awurade yɛeɛ, na wɔhunuu sɛ wɔwɔ Samaria.
21 And he said [the] king of Israel to Elisha when saw he them ¿ will I strike [them] down will I strike [them] down? O father my.
Ɛberɛ a Israelhene hunuu wɔn no, ɔteaam, bisaa Elisa sɛ, “Mʼagya, menkunkum wɔn anaa?”
22 And he said not you must strike [them] down ¿ [those] whom you have taken captive by sword your and by bow your [are] you about to strike down put food and water before them so they may eat and they may drink and they may go to master their.
Elisa buaa no sɛ, “Dabi. Ɛsɛ sɛ yɛkunkum ɔko mu nnommumfoɔ anaa? Ma wɔn aduane ne nsuo, na ma wɔnsane nkɔ wɔn wura nkyɛn wɔ wɔn kurom.”
23 And he gave a feast for them a feast great and they ate and they drank and he let go them and they went to master their and not they repeated again [the] marauding bands of Aram to come in [the] land of Israel.
Enti, ɔhene no too wɔn ɛpono kɛseɛ, ma wɔsane kɔɔ wɔn ɔhene nkyɛn wɔ wɔn kurom. Ɛno akyi, Aramfoɔ ntohyɛsofoɔ no twee wɔn ho firii Israel asase ho koraa.
24 And it was after thus and he gathered Ben Hadad [the] king of Aram all army his and he went up and he laid siege on Samaria.
Akyire no, Aramhene Ben-Hadad boaboaa nʼakodɔm nyinaa ano, de wɔn kɔtuaa Samaria.
25 And it was a famine great in Samaria and there! [they were] laying siege on it until was [the] head of a donkey for eighty silver and [the] fourth part of the kab (quano *Q(K)*) for five silver.
Ɛbaa saa no, ɛkɔm kɛseɛ baa kuro no mu. Ɛyɛɛ kakra no, na wɔtɔn afunumu ti dwetɛ kilogram baako, ɛnna wɔtɔn aborɔnoma bini kuruwa ma dwetɛ gram aduonum nwɔtwe.
26 And he was [the] king of Israel passing by on the wall and a woman she cried out to him saying save! O lord my the king.
Ɛda bi a Israelhene nam kuro no ɔfasuo ho no, ɔbaa bi kɔɔ ne nkyɛn kɔsrɛɛ no sɛ, “Me wura ɔhene, mesrɛ wo, boa me.”
27 And he said may not he save you Yahweh from where? will I save you ¿ from the threshing floor or? from the wine-press.
Ɔbuaa no sɛ, “Sɛ Awurade ammoa wo a, ɛdeɛn na mɛtumi ayɛ? Menni aduane anaa nsa a mede bɛma wo.”
28 And he said to her the king what? [is] to you and she said the woman this she said to me give son your so we may eat him this day and son my we will eat tomorrow.
Ɔhene no bisaa no sɛ, “Ɛdeɛn asɛm?” Ɔbuaa sɛ, “Saa ɔbaa yi kaa sɛ, yɛnwe me babarima da bi, na adeɛ kye a, yɛawe ɔno nso deɛ.
29 And we cooked son my and we ate him and I said to her on the day other give son your so we may eat him and she had hidden son her.
Enti, yɛnoaa me babarima weeɛ. Afei, adeɛ kyeeɛ no, meka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, ‘Kum wo babarima no ma yɛnwe,’ nanso, na ɔde no akɔsie.”
30 And it was when heard the king [the] words of the woman and he tore clothes his and he [was] passing by on the wall and it saw the people and there! sackcloth [was] on flesh his from inside.
Na ɔhene no tee saa asɛm yi, ɔde anibiannasoɔ sunsuanee ne ntadeɛ mu. Na ɔhene no nam ɔfasuo no ho no, nnipa no hunuu sɛ ɔhyɛ ayitadeɛ wɔ nʼase.
31 And he said thus may he do to me God and thus may he add if it will remain standing [the] head of Elisha [the] son of Shaphat on him this day.
Ɔhene no kaa ntam sɛ, “Sɛ ɛnnɛ mankum Safat babarima Elisa a, Onyankopɔn nku me.”
32 And Elisha [was] sitting in house his and the elders [were] sitting with him and he sent a man from to before him before he came the messenger to him and he - he said to the elders ¿ do you see that he has sent [the] son of the murderer this to remove head my look - when comes the messenger shut the door and you will push him with the door ¿ not [is] [the] sound of [the] feet of master his after him.
Elisa te ne fie a ɔne Israel mpanimfoɔ reyɛ nhyiamu na ɔhene somaa abɔfoɔ kɔfrɛɛ no. Nanso, ansa na abɔfoɔ no rebɛduru no, Elisa ka kyerɛɛ mpanimfoɔ no sɛ, “Owudifoɔ asoma ɔbarima bi sɛ ɔmmɛkum me. Sɛ ɔduru ha a, to ɛpono no mu, na ɔnka akyire. Na ɛrenkyɛre ne wura no bɛdi nʼakyi aba.”
33 Still he [was] speaking with them and there! the messenger [was] coming down to him and he said here! this the calamity [is] from with Yahweh why? will I wait for Yahweh still.
Elisa gu so rekasa no, ɔbɔfoɔ no baeɛ. Na ɔhene no kaa sɛ, “Ɛyɛ Awurade na ɔde saa ɔhaw yi abrɛ yɛn! Adɛn enti na ɛsɛ sɛ mekɔ so twɛn Awurade?”
