< 2 Kings 6 >

1 And they said [the] sons of the prophets to Elisha here! please the place where we [are] dwelling there before you it is [too] cramped for us.
Yon jou, pwofèt yo di Elize konsa: —Gade, kote n'ap viv avè ou la vin twò piti pou nou.
2 Let us go please to the Jordan and let us take from there each a beam one and let us make for ourselves there a place to dwell there and he said go.
Kite n' ale larivyè Jouden an. Nou chak va koupe yon madriye, n'a bati yon kay la pou nou ka viv. Elize reponn: —Ale non!
3 And he said the one be willing please and go with servants your and he said I I will go.
4 And he went with them and they came the Jordan towards and they cut down trees.
Li pati ak yo. Lè yo rive bò larivyè Jouden an, yo tanmen koupe bwa.
5 And it was the one [was] making fall the beam and the iron it fell into the water and he cried out and he said alas! O lord my and it [was] asked.
Yonn ladan yo t'ap koupe yon madriye lè rach la soti nan manch li, li tonbe nan dlo a. Li pran rele: —Mèt, mèt! Sa m' pral fè la a? Se prete yo te prete m' rach la wi!
6 And he said [the] man of God where? did it fall and he showed him the place and he cut off a piece of wood and he threw [it] there towards and he caused to float the iron.
Elize mande l': —Kote rach la tonbe la a? Li moutre l' kote a. Elize kase yon moso bwa, li voye l' nan dlo a. Rach la moute anwo dlo a.
7 And he said lift [it] yourself and he stretched out hand his and he took it.
Elize di l': —Wete l' nan dlo a. Pwofèt la lonje men l', li pran rach la.
8 And [the] king of Aram he was fighting against Israel and he consulted servants his saying [will be] to a place of a certain one a certain one encampments my.
Wa peyi Siri a t'ap fè lagè ak peyi Izrayèl la. Li reyini chèf li yo, li di yo ki kote li pral moute kan lame a.
9 And he sent [the] man of God to [the] king of Israel saying take care from passing by the place this for there Aram [is] descending.
Men, Elize voye avèti wa peyi Izrayèl la pou l' pa pwoche bò tèl kote, paske lame peyi Siri a desann la ap tann li.
10 And he sent [the] king of Israel to the place which he had spoken to him [the] man of God (and he warned him *Q(K)*) and he took care there not one [time] and not two [times].
11 And it was enraged [the] heart of [the] king of Aram on the matter this and he called to servants his and he said to them ¿ not will you tell to me who? from [those] who [belong] to us [is] to [the] king of Israel.
12 And he said one from servants his no O lord my the king for Elisha the prophet who [is] in Israel he tells to [the] king of Israel the words which you speak in [the] chamber of lying down your.
Yonn nan chèf yo reponn: —Pesonn, monwa.
13 And he said go and see where? [is] he so I may send so I may capture him and it was told to him saying there! in Dothan.
Wa peyi Siri a di: —Chache konnen kote Elize sa a ye pou m' voye pran l': Yo vin di li Elize te lavil Dotan.
14 And he sent there towards horses and chariotry and an army massive and they came night and they surrounded the city.
Li voye yon gwo lame ak anpil chwal ak cha lagè dèyè l'. Yo rive Dotan solèy kouche, yo sènen lavil la.
15 And he rose early [the] servant of [the] man of God to arise and he went out and there! an army [was] surrounding the city and horse[s] and chariotry and he said servant his to him alas! O lord my how? will we do.
16 And he said may not you be afraid for [are] many [those] who [are] with us more than [those] who [are] them.
Elize reponn li: —Ou pa bezwen pè! Nou gen plis moun avèk nou pase yo.
17 And he prayed Elisha and he said O Yahweh open please eyes his so he may see and he opened Yahweh [the] eyes of the servant and he saw and there! the hill it was full horses and chariotry of fire around Elisha.
Lèfini, Elize lapriyè Seyè a, li di: —Seyè, tanpri louvri je l' pou l' wè! Seyè a louvri je domestik la. Domestik la wè tout mòn lan te kouvri ak flanm dife an fòm kavalye ak cha lagè bò kote Elize.
18 And they came down to him and he prayed Elisha to Yahweh and he said strike please the nation this with sudden blindness and he struck them with sudden blindness according to [the] word of Elisha.
Lè sòlda peyi Siri yo atake, Elize lapriyè ankò, li di: —Seyè, fè sòlda sa yo pa wè nan je yo! Seyè a fè sòlda peyi Siri yo pa wè nan je yo, jan Elize te mande l' la.
19 And he said to them Elisha not this [is] the way and not this [is] the city come after me so let me lead you to the man whom you seek! and he led them Samaria towards.
Lèfini, Elize al jwenn yo, li di yo: —Se pa chemen an sa, ni se pa lavil n'ap chache a sa. Swiv mwen, m'a mennen nou kote moun n'ap chache a ye. Li mennen yo lavil Samari.
20 And it was when came they Samaria and he said Elisha O Yahweh open [the] eyes of these [men] so they may see and he opened Yahweh eyes their and they saw and there! [they were] in [the] midst of Samaria.
Rive yo rive la, Elize lapriyè ankò, li di: —Seyè, louvri je yo pou yo wè! Seyè a louvri je yo. Yo wè yo te nan mitan lavil Samari.
21 And he said [the] king of Israel to Elisha when saw he them ¿ will I strike [them] down will I strike [them] down? O father my.
Lè wa peyi Izrayèl la wè sòlda peyi Siri yo, li mande Elize: —Touye yo, papa mwen? Touye yo?
22 And he said not you must strike [them] down ¿ [those] whom you have taken captive by sword your and by bow your [are] you about to strike down put food and water before them so they may eat and they may drink and they may go to master their.
Elize reponn li: —Non. Pa touye yo. Ou janm touye moun ou fè prizonye lè w'ap goumen ak nepe epi ak banza? Ba yo manje, ba yo bwè, Lèfini, kite yo tounen al jwenn mèt yo!
23 And he gave a feast for them a feast great and they ate and they drank and he let go them and they went to master their and not they repeated again [the] marauding bands of Aram to come in [the] land of Israel.
Se konsa, wa a fè yon gwo resepsyon pou yo. Yo manje, yo bwè. Lèfini, wa a voye yo ale jwenn mèt yo.
24 And it was after thus and he gathered Ben Hadad [the] king of Aram all army his and he went up and he laid siege on Samaria.
Kèk tan apre sa, Bennadad, wa peyi Siri a, sanble tout lame li, li moute vin atake peyi Izrayèl. Li sènen lavil Samari.
25 And it was a famine great in Samaria and there! [they were] laying siege on it until was [the] head of a donkey for eighty silver and [the] fourth part of the kab (quano *Q(K)*) for five silver.
Lènmi pa t' bay ankenn chans pou moun antre soti. Lè sa a yon tèt bourik te koute katreven pyès ajan, yon demi liv kaka pijon te koute senk pyès ajan.
26 And he was [the] king of Israel passing by on the wall and a woman she cried out to him saying save! O lord my the king.
Yon jou, wa peyi Izrayèl la t'ap pase sou miray lavil la, yon madanm pran rele: —Monwa, monwa, fè kichòy pou mwen non!
27 And he said may not he save you Yahweh from where? will I save you ¿ from the threshing floor or? from the wine-press.
Wa a reponn: —Si Seyè a pa ka fè anyen pou ou, kisa mwen menm, mwen ka fè pou ou. Kisa ou vle m' ba ou: farin osinon diven?
28 And he said to her the king what? [is] to you and she said the woman this she said to me give son your so we may eat him this day and son my we will eat tomorrow.
Sa ou genyen? Madanm lan reponn: —Lòt jou, madanm sa ou wè la a vin di m' pou mwen bay pitit pa m' lan pou nou manje jou sa a, nan denmen n'a manje pitit pa l' la.
29 And we cooked son my and we ate him and I said to her on the day other give son your so we may eat him and she had hidden son her.
Nan denmen, mwen di l' pou li bay pitit pa l' la pou nou manje, men li sere l'.
30 And it was when heard the king [the] words of the woman and he tore clothes his and he [was] passing by on the wall and it saw the people and there! sackcloth [was] on flesh his from inside.
Lè wa a tande sa madanm lan di l' la, li chire rad sou li sitèlman li te fache. Moun ki te toupre miray la te ka wè wa a te gen yon rad sak anba rad li.
31 And he said thus may he do to me God and thus may he add if it will remain standing [the] head of Elisha [the] son of Shaphat on him this day.
Wa a pale byen fò, li di: —Se pou Bondye ban m' pi gwo chatiman ki genyen si anvan jounen an fini, yo pa koupe tèt Elize, pitit Safa a!
32 And Elisha [was] sitting in house his and the elders [were] sitting with him and he sent a man from to before him before he came the messenger to him and he - he said to the elders ¿ do you see that he has sent [the] son of the murderer this to remove head my look - when comes the messenger shut the door and you will push him with the door ¿ not [is] [the] sound of [the] feet of master his after him.
Wa a voye yon mesaje al chache Elize. Lè sa a, Elize te chita lakay li ak kèk chèf fanmi ki t'ap vizite l'. Men, anvan mesaje wa a gen tan rive, Elize di chèf fanmi yo: —Gade, Ansasen an voye yon moun pou touye m'. Men sa n'ap fè. Lè mesaje wa a va rive, fèmen pòt la sou li. Pa kite l' antre. Wa a pye pou pye dèyè l'.
33 Still he [was] speaking with them and there! the messenger [was] coming down to him and he said here! this the calamity [is] from with Yahweh why? will I wait for Yahweh still.
Elize pankò fèmen bouch li, lè wa a rive devan l'. Wa a di l' konsa: —Se Seyè a ki voye malè sa a sou nou! Sa m' bezwen rete ap tann li fè kichòy pou nou ankò?
