2 Kings 3
1 And Jehoram [the] son of Ahab he became king over Israel in Samaria in year eight-teen of Jehoshaphat [the] king of Judah and he reigned two [plus] ten year[s].
Und Joram, der Sohn Ahabs, wurde König über Israel zu Samaria, im achtzehnten Jahre Josaphats, des Königs von Juda; und er regierte zwölf Jahre.
2 And he did the evil in [the] eyes of Yahweh only not like father his and like mother his and he removed [the] sacred pillar of Baal which he had made father his.
Und er tat, was böse war in den Augen Jehovas, nur nicht wie sein Vater und seine Mutter; und er tat die Bildsäule [O. die Säule] des Baal hinweg, die sein Vater gemacht hatte.
3 Only to [the] sins of Jeroboam [the] son of Nebat which he caused to sin Israel he clung not he turned aside from it.
Doch blieb er hangen an den Sünden Jerobeams, des Sohnes Nebats, wodurch er Israel sündigen gemacht hatte; er wich nicht davon.
4 And Mesha [the] king of Moab he was a sheep-breeder and he returned to [the] king of Israel one hundred thousand lambs and one hundred thousand rams wool.
Und Mesa, der König von Moab, war ein Herdenbesitzer, und er zinste dem König von Israel 100000 Fettschafe und 100000 Widder mit der Wolle. [O. die Wolle von 100000 Fettschafen und von usw.]
5 And it was when died Ahab and he rebelled [the] king of Moab against [the] king of Israel.
Und es geschah, als Ahab starb, da fiel der König von Moab von dem König von Israel ab.
6 And he went out the king Jehoram on the day that from Samaria and he mustered all Israel.
Und der König Joram zog in selbiger Zeit von Samaria aus und musterte ganz Israel.
7 And he went and he sent to Jehoshaphat [the] king of Judah saying [the] king of Moab he has rebelled against me ¿ will you go with me against Moab for battle and he said I will go up as me as you as people my as people your as horses my as horses your.
Und er ging hin und sandte zu Josaphat, dem König von Juda, und ließ ihm sagen: Der König von Moab ist von mir abgefallen; willst du mit mir wider Moab in den Streit ziehen? Und er sprach: Ich will hinaufziehen; ich will sein wie du, mein Volk wie dein Volk, meine Rosse wie deine Rosse.
8 And he said where? this [is] the way [which] we will go up and he said [the] way of [the] wilderness of Edom.
Und er sprach: Auf welchem Wege wollen wir hinaufziehen? Und er sprach: Auf dem Wege der Wüste Edom.
9 And he went [the] king of Israel and [the] king of Judah and [the] king of Edom and they went around a journey of seven days and not it belonged water to the army and to the animal[s] which [was] at feet their.
Und so zogen der König von Israel und der König von Juda und der König von Edom hin; und sie machten einen Umweg von sieben Tagereisen, und es war kein Wasser da für das Heer und für das Vieh, das ihnen folgte.
10 And he said [the] king of Israel alas! for he has summoned Yahweh [the] three the kings these to give them in [the] hand of Moab.
Da sprach der König von Israel: Ach, daß Jehova diese drei Könige gerufen hat, um sie in die Hand Moabs zu geben!
11 And he said Jehoshaphat ¿ [is] there not here a prophet of Yahweh and let us consult Yahweh from him and he answered one from [the] servants of [the] king of Israel and he said [is] here Elisha [the] son of Shaphat who he poured water on [the] hands of Elijah.
Und Josaphat sprach: Ist hier kein Prophet Jehovas, daß wir Jehova durch ihn befragen könnten? Und einer von den Knechten des Königs von Israel antwortete und sprach: Hier ist Elisa, der Sohn Saphats, der Wasser goß auf die Hände des Elia.
12 And he said Jehoshaphat there him [is] [the] word of Yahweh and they went down to him [the] king of Israel and Jehoshaphat and [the] king of Edom.
Und Josaphat sprach: Das Wort Jehovas ist bei ihm. Und der König von Israel und Josaphat und der König von Edom gingen zu ihm hinab.
13 And he said Elisha to [the] king of Israel what? [is] to me and to you go to [the] prophets of father your and to [the] prophets of mother your and he said to him [the] king of Israel may not [it be so] for he has summoned Yahweh [the] three the kings these to give them in [the] hand of Moab.
Und Elisa sprach zu dem König von Israel: Was haben wir miteinander zu schaffen? Geh zu den Propheten deines Vaters und zu den Propheten deiner Mutter! Und der König von Israel sprach zu ihm: Nein, denn Jehova hat diese drei Könige gerufen, um sie in die Hand Moabs zu geben.
14 And he said Elisha [by] [the] life of Yahweh of hosts whom I stand before him for if not [the] face of Jehoshaphat [the] king of Judah I [am] lifting up if I will look to you and if I will see you.
Da sprach Elisa: So wahr Jehova der Heerscharen lebt, vor dessen Angesicht ich stehe, wenn ich nicht auf die Person Josaphats, des Königs von Juda, Rücksicht nähme, so würde ich dich nicht anblicken, noch dich ansehen!
15 And now fetch for me a musician and it was when played the musician and it was on him [the] hand of Yahweh.
Und nun holet mir einen Saitenspieler. Und es geschah, als der Saitenspieler spielte, da kam die Hand Jehovas über ihn.
16 And he said thus he says Yahweh make the wadi this ditches - ditches.
Und er sprach: So spricht Jehova: Machet in diesem Tale Grube an Grube.
17 For thus - he says Yahweh not you will see wind and not you will see rain and the wadi that it will be filled water and you will drink you and livestock your and animal[s] your.
Denn so spricht Jehova: ihr werdet keinen Wind sehen und keinen Regen sehen, und doch wird dieses Tal sich mit Wasser füllen, so daß ihr trinken werdet, ihr und eure Herden und euer Vieh.
18 And it will be trifling this in [the] eyes of Yahweh and he will give Moab in hand your.
Und das ist noch gering in den Augen Jehovas; er wird auch Moab in eure Hand geben.
19 And you will strike down every city of fortification and every city of choice and every tree good you will make fall and all [the] springs of water you will stop up and every portion of land good you will spoil with stones.
Und ihr werdet alle festen Städte und alle auserlesenen Städte schlagen, und werdet alle guten Bäume fällen und alle Wasserquellen verstopfen und alle guten Ackerstücke mit Steinen verderben.
20 And it was in the morning when went up the offering and there! waters [were] coming from [the] direction of Edom and it was filled the land the waters.
Und es geschah am Morgen, zur Zeit da man das Speisopfer opfert, siehe, da kam Wasser des Weges von Edom her, und das Land füllte sich mit Wasser.
21 And all Moab they had heard that they had come up the kings to fight against them and they were summoned from every [one who] girds on a belt and up-wards and they took their stand at the border.
Und als alle Moabiter hörten, daß die Könige heraufgezogen waren, um wider sie zu streiten, da wurden sie zusammengerufen, von jedem an, der sich rüsten konnte [W. der einen Gurt umgürtete] und darüber; und sie rückten an die Grenze.
22 And they rose early in the morning and the sun it shone on the water and they saw Moab from before the water red like blood.
Und als sie sich des Morgens früh aufmachten und die Sonne über dem Wasser aufging, da sahen die Moabiter das Wasser gegenüber rot wie Blut.
23 And they said [is] blood this certainly they have fought one another the kings and they have struck down each neighbor his and therefore to the plunder O Moab.
Und sie sprachen: Das ist Blut! Die Könige haben sich gewißlich aufgerieben und haben einander erschlagen; und nun zur Beute, Moab!
24 And they came to [the] camp of Israel and they arose Israel and they struck down Moab and they fled from before them (and they struck down *Q(K)*) it and they struck down Moab.
Als sie aber zum Lager Israels kamen, da machten die Israeliten sich auf und schlugen die Moabiter, daß sie vor ihnen flohen. Und sie kamen in das Land Moab und schlugen es. [W. kamen in dasselbe und schlugen Moab]
25 And the cities they tore down and every portion of land good they threw each stone his and they filled it and every spring of water they stopped up and every tree good they made fall until he left behind stones its in Kir Hareseth and they surrounded [it] the slingers and they struck it.
Und sie rissen die Städte nieder, und auf alle guten Ackerstücke warfen sie ein jeder seinen Stein und füllten sie damit an, und sie verstopften alle Wasserquellen und fällten alle guten Bäume, bis sie an Kir-Hareseth nur dessen Steine übrigließen. Und die Schleuderer umzingelten und beschossen die Stadt. [W. und trafen sie]
26 And he saw [the] king of Moab that it was [too] strong for him the battle and he took him seven hundred man [who] drew a sword to break through to [the] king of Edom and not they were able.
Und als der König von Moab sah, daß ihm der Streit zu stark war, nahm er 700 Mann mit sich, die das Schwert zogen, um gegen den König von Edom hin durchzubrechen; aber sie vermochten es nicht.
27 And he took son his the firstborn who he will reign in place of him and he offered up him a burnt offering on the wall and it was wrath great towards Israel and they departed from on him and they returned to the land.
Da nahm er seinen erstgeborenen Sohn, der an seiner Statt König werden sollte, und opferte ihn als Brandopfer auf der Mauer. Und es kam ein großer Zorn über Israel; und sie zogen von ihm ab und kehrten in ihr Land zurück.
