2 Kings 25
1 And it was in [the] year ninth of reigning his in the month tenth on the ten of the month he came Nebuchadnezzar [the] king of Babylon he and all army his on Jerusalem and he encamped on it and they built on it a siege-wall all around.
La neuvième année du règne de Sédécias, le dixième jour du dixième mois, Nebucadnetsar, roi de Babylone, vint avec toute son armée contre Jérusalem; il campa devant elle, et éleva des retranchements tout autour.
2 And it came the city in state of siege until one [plus] ten year of the king Zedekiah.
La ville fut assiégée jusqu’à la onzième année du roi Sédécias.
3 (In the month fourth *X*) on [day] nine of the month and it was severe the famine in the city and not it belonged food to [the] people of the land.
Le neuvième jour du mois, la famine était forte dans la ville, et il n’y avait pas de pain pour le peuple du pays.
4 And it was broken into the city and all [the] men of war - this night [the] way of [the] gate - between the two walls which [was] at [the] garden of the king and [the] Chaldeans [were] on the city all around and he went [the] direction of the Arabah.
Alors la brèche fut faite à la ville; et tous les gens de guerre s’enfuirent de nuit par le chemin de la porte entre les deux murs près du jardin du roi, pendant que les Chaldéens environnaient la ville. Les fuyards prirent le chemin de la plaine.
5 And they pursued [the] army of [the] Chaldeans after the king and they overtook him in [the] plains of Jericho and all army his they were scattered from with him.
Mais l’armée des Chaldéens poursuivit le roi et l’atteignit dans les plaines de Jéricho, et toute son armée se dispersa loin de lui.
6 And they seized the king and they brought up him to [the] king of Babylon Riblah towards and they spoke with him judgment.
Ils saisirent le roi, et le firent monter vers le roi de Babylone à Ribla; et l’on prononça contre lui une sentence.
7 And [the] sons of Zedekiah they slaughtered to eyes his and [the] eyes of Zedekiah he made blind and he bound him with bronze fetters and he brought him Babylon.
Les fils de Sédécias furent égorgés en sa présence; puis on creva les yeux à Sédécias, on le lia avec des chaînes d’airain, et on le mena à Babylone.
8 And in the month fifth on [day] seven of the month it [was] year nine-teen year of the king Nebuchadnezzar [the] king of Babylon he came Nebuzaradan [the] chief of [the] bodyguards [the] servant of [the] king of Babylon Jerusalem.
Le septième jour du cinquième mois, c’était la dix-neuvième année du règne de Nebucadnetsar, roi de Babylone, Nebuzaradan, chef des gardes, serviteur du roi de Babylone, entra dans Jérusalem.
9 And he burned [the] house of Yahweh and [the] house of the king and all [the] houses of Jerusalem and every house of a great [person] he burned with fire.
Il brûla la maison de l’Éternel, la maison du roi, et toutes les maisons de Jérusalem; il livra au feu toutes les maisons de quelque importance.
10 And [the] walls of Jerusalem all around they broke down all [the] army of [the] Chaldeans who [was the] chief of [the] bodyguards.
Toute l’armée des Chaldéens, qui était avec le chef des gardes, démolit les murailles formant l’enceinte de Jérusalem.
11 And [the] rest of the people which remained in the city and those [who] fell who they fell on the king of Babylon and [the] rest of the multitude he took into exile Nebuzaradan [the] chief of [the] bodyguards.
Nebuzaradan, chef des gardes, emmena captifs ceux du peuple qui étaient demeurés dans la ville, ceux qui s’étaient rendus au roi de Babylone, et le reste de la multitude.
12 And some of [the] poor people of the land he left behind [the] chief of [the] bodyguards to vinedressers and to ploughmen.
Cependant le chef des gardes laissa comme vignerons et comme laboureurs quelques-uns des plus pauvres du pays.
13 And [the] pillars of bronze which [were] [the] house of Yahweh and the stands and [the] sea of bronze which [was] in [the] house of Yahweh they broke [the] Chaldeans and they carried bronze their Babylon towards.
Les Chaldéens brisèrent les colonnes d’airain qui étaient dans la maison de l’Éternel, les bases, la mer d’airain qui était dans la maison de l’Éternel, et ils en emportèrent l’airain à Babylone.
14 And the pots and the shovels and the snuffers and the pans and all [the] articles of bronze which people served with them they took.
Ils prirent les cendriers, les pelles, les couteaux, les tasses, et tous les ustensiles d’airain avec lesquels on faisait le service.
15 And the fire-pans and the bowls which [were] gold gold and which [were] silver silver he took [the] chief of [the] bodyguards.
Le chef des gardes prit encore les brasiers et les coupes, ce qui était d’or et ce qui était d’argent.
16 The pillars - two the sea one and the stands which he had made Solomon for [the] house of Yahweh not it belonged weight to [the] bronze of all the articles these.
Les deux colonnes, la mer, et les bases, que Salomon avait faites pour la maison de l’Éternel, tous ces ustensiles d’airain avaient un poids inconnu.
17 [was] eight-Teen cubit[s] [the] height of - the pillar one and a capital [was] on it - bronze and [the] height of the capital [was] three (cubits *Q(K)*) and a network and pomegranates [were] on the capital all around everything [was] bronze and like these [things] [belonged] to the pillar second with the network.
La hauteur d’une colonne était de dix-huit coudées, et il y avait au-dessus un chapiteau d’airain dont la hauteur était de trois coudées; autour du chapiteau il y avait un treillis et des grenades, le tout d’airain; il en était de même pour la seconde colonne avec le treillis.
18 And he took [the] chief of [the] bodyguards Seraiah [the] priest of the head and Zephaniah a priest second and [the] three [the] keepers of the threshold.
Le chef des gardes prit Seraja, le souverain sacrificateur, Sophonie, le second sacrificateur, et les trois gardiens du seuil.
19 And from the city he took a court-official one who he [was] overseer - over [the] men of war and five men from [those who] saw [the] face of the king who they were found in the city and the scribe [the] commander of the army who mustered [the] people of the land and sixty man from [the] people of the land who were found in the city.
Et dans la ville il prit un eunuque qui avait sous son commandement les gens de guerre, cinq hommes qui faisaient partie des conseillers du roi et qui furent trouvés dans la ville, le secrétaire du chef de l’armée qui était chargé d’enrôler le peuple du pays, et soixante hommes du peuple du pays qui se trouvèrent dans la ville.
20 And he took them Nebuzaradan [the] chief of [the] bodyguards and he brought them to [the] king of Babylon Riblah towards.
Nebuzaradan, chef des gardes, les prit, et les conduisit vers le roi de Babylone à Ribla.
21 And he struck down them [the] king of Babylon and he put to death them at Riblah in [the] land of Hamath and it went into exile Judah from on land its.
Le roi de Babylone les frappa et les fit mourir à Ribla, dans le pays de Hamath.
22 And the people who remained in [the] land of Judah whom he left behind Nebuchadnezzar [the] king of Babylon and he appointed over them Gedaliah [the] son of Ahikam [the] son of Shaphan.
Ainsi Juda fut emmené captif loin de son pays. Et Nebucadnetsar, roi de Babylone, plaça le reste du peuple, qu’il laissa dans le pays de Juda, sous le commandement de Guedalia, fils d’Achikam, fils de Schaphan.
23 And they heard all [the] commanders of the armies they and the men that he had appointed [the] king of Babylon Gedaliah and they came to Gedaliah Mizpah and Ishmael [the] son of Nethaniah and Johanan [the] son of Kareah and Seraiah [the] son of Tanhumeth the Netophathite and Jaazaniah [the] son of the Maacathite they and men their.
Lorsque tous les chefs des troupes eurent appris, eux et leurs hommes, que le roi de Babylone avait établi Guedalia pour gouverneur, ils se rendirent auprès de Guedalia à Mitspa, savoir Ismaël, fils de Nethania, Jochanan, fils de Karéach, Seraja, fils de Thanhumeth, de Nethopha, et Jaazania, fils du Maacathien, eux et leurs hommes.
24 And he swore an oath to them Gedaliah and to men their and he said to them may not you be afraid from [the] servants of the Chaldeans dwell in the land and serve [the] king of Babylon so it may go well for you.
Guedalia leur jura, à eux et à leurs hommes, et leur dit: Ne craignez rien de la part des serviteurs des Chaldéens; demeurez dans le pays, servez le roi de Babylone, et vous vous en trouverez bien.
25 And it was - in the month seventh he came Ishmael [the] son of Nethaniah [the] son of Elishama one of [the] offspring of royalty and ten men with him and they struck down Gedaliah and he died and the Jews and the Chaldeans who they were with him at Mizpah.
Mais au septième mois, Ismaël, fils de Nethania, fils d’Élischama, de la race royale, vint, accompagné de dix hommes, et ils frappèrent mortellement Guedalia, ainsi que les Juifs et les Chaldéens qui étaient avec lui à Mitspa.
26 And they arose all the people from [the] small and unto [the] great and [the] commanders of the armies and they went Egypt for they were afraid of [the] Chaldeans.
Alors tout le peuple, depuis le plus petit jusqu’au plus grand, et les chefs des troupes, se levèrent et s’en allèrent en Égypte, parce qu’ils avaient peur des Chaldéens.
27 And it was in thirty and seven year of [the] exile of Jehoiachin [the] king of Judah in two [plus] ten month on [day] twenty and seven of the month he lifted up Evil-Merodach [the] king of Babylon in [the] year became king he [the] head of Jehoiachin [the] king of Judah from [the] house of imprisonment.
La trente-septième année de la captivité de Jojakin, roi de Juda, le vingt-septième jour du douzième mois, Évil-Merodac, roi de Babylone, dans la première année de son règne, releva la tête de Jojakin, roi de Juda, et le tira de prison.
28 And he spoke with him good and he set throne his above [the] throne of the kings who [were] with him in Babylon.
Il lui parla avec bonté, et il mit son trône au-dessus du trône des rois qui étaient avec lui à Babylone.
29 And he changed [the] clothes of imprisonment his and he ate bread continually before him all [the] days of life his.
Il lui fit changer ses vêtements de prison, et Jojakin mangea toujours à sa table tout le temps de sa vie.
30 And allowance his an allowance of continuity it was given to him from with the king [the] matter of a day in day its all [the] days of life his.
Le roi pourvut constamment à son entretien journalier tout le temps de sa vie.
