2 Kings 21

1 [was] a son of Two [plus] ten year[s] Manasseh when became king he and fifty and five year[s] he reigned in Jerusalem and [the] name of mother his [was] Hephzi-bah.

Quando divenne re, Manàsse aveva dodici anni; regnò cinquantacinque anni in Gerusalemme; sua madre si chiamava Chefziba.

2 And he did the evil in [the] eyes of Yahweh according to [the] abominations of the nations which he had dispossessed Yahweh from before [the] people of Israel.

Fece ciò che è male agli occhi del Signore, imitando gli abomini delle popolazioni sterminate gia dal Signore all'arrivo degli Israeliti.

3 And he returned and he built the high places which he had destroyed Hezekiah father his and he set up altars to Baal and he made an Asherah pole just as he had done Ahab [the] king of Israel and he bowed down to all [the] host of the heavens and he served them.

Ricostruì le alture demolite dal padre Ezechia, eresse altari a Baal, innalzò un palo sacro, come l'aveva fatto Acab, re di Israele. Si prostrò davanti a tutta la milizia del cielo e la servì.

4 And he built altars in [the] house of Yahweh which he had said Yahweh in Jerusalem I will put name my.

Costruì altari nel tempio riguardo al quale il Signore aveva detto: «In Gerusalemme porrò il mio nome».

5 And he built altars to all [the] host of the heavens in [the] two [the] courtyards of [the] house of Yahweh.

Costruì altari a tutta la milizia del cielo nei due cortili del tempio.

6 And he made pass son his in the fire and he practiced soothsaying and he practiced divination and he dealt with necromancer and soothsayers he increased to do the evil in [the] eyes of Yahweh to provoke [him] to anger.

Fece passare suo figlio per il fuoco, praticò la divinazione e la magìa, istituì i negromanti e gli indovini. Compì in tante maniere ciò che è male agli occhi del Signore, da provocare il suo sdegno.

7 And he put [the] image of Asherah which he had made in the house which he had said Yahweh to David and to Solomon son his in the house this and in Jerusalem which I have chosen from all [the] tribes of Israel I will put name my for ever.

Collocò l'immagine di Asera, da lui fatta fare, nel tempio, riguardo al quale il Signore aveva detto a Davide e al figlio Salomone: «In questo tempio e in Gerusalemme, che mi sono scelta fra tutte le tribù di Israele, porrò il mio nome per sempre.

8 And not I will repeat to make wander [the] foot of Israel from the ground which I gave to ancestors their only - if they will take care to do according to all that I have commanded them and to all the law which he commanded them servant my Moses.

Non sopporterò più che il piede degli Israeliti vada errando lontano dal paese che io ho dato ai loro padri, purché procurino di eseguire quanto ho comandato loro e tutta la legge, che ha imposto loro il mio servo Mosè».

9 And not they listened and he misled them Manasseh to do evil more than the nations which he had destroyed Yahweh from before [the] people of Israel.

Ma essi non ascoltarono. Manàsse li spinse ad agire peggio delle popolazioni sterminate dal Signore alla venuta degli Israeliti.

10 And he spoke Yahweh by [the] hand of servants his the prophets saying.

Allora il Signore disse per mezzo dei suoi servi i profeti:

11 Because that he has done Manasseh [the] king of Judah the abominations these he has done evil more than all that they did the Amorite[s] who [was] before him and he has caused to sin also Judah with idols his.

«Poiché Manàsse re di Giuda ha compiuto tali abomini, peggiori di tutti quelli commessi dagli Amorrei prima di lui, e ha indotto a peccare anche Giuda per mezzo dei suoi idoli,

12 Therefore thus he says Yahweh [the] God of Israel here I [am] about to bring calamity on Jerusalem and Judah which every ([one who] hears of it *Q(K)*) they will tingle [the] two ears his.

per questo dice il Signore Dio di Israele: Eccomi, mando su Gerusalemme e su Giuda una tale sventura da far rintronare gli orecchi di chi l'udrà.

13 And I will stretch out over Jerusalem [the] measuring-line of Samaria and [the] leveling tool of [the] house of Ahab and I will wipe clean Jerusalem just as someone wipes clean the bowl he wipes [it] clean and he turns [it] over on face its.

Stenderò su Gerusalemme la cordicella di Samaria e il piombino della casa di Acab; asciugherò Gerusalemme come si asciuga un piatto, che si asciuga e si rovescia.

14 And I will abandon [the] remnant of inheritance my and I will give them in [the] hand of enemies their and they will become spoil and plunder to all enemies their.

Rigetterò il resto della mia eredità; li metterò nelle mani dei loro nemici; diventeranno preda e bottino di tutti i loro nemici,

15 Because that they have done the evil in view my and they have been provoking to anger me since the day when they came out ancestors their from Egypt and until the day this.

perché hanno fatto ciò che è male ai miei occhi e mi hanno provocato a sdegno da quando i loro padri uscirono dall'Egitto fino ad oggi».

16 And also blood innocent he shed Manasseh much very until that he had filled Jerusalem mouth to mouth apart from sin his which he caused to sin Judah to do the evil in [the] eyes of Yahweh.

Manàsse versò anche sangue innocente in grande quantità fino a riempirne Gerusalemme da un'estremità all'altra, oltre i peccati che aveva fatto commettere a Giuda, facendo ciò che è male agli occhi del Signore.

17 And [the] rest of [the] matters of Manasseh and all that he did and sin his which he sinned ¿ not [are] they written on [the] scroll of [the] matters of the days of [the] kings of Judah.

Le altre gesta di Manàsse, tutte le sue azioni e le colpe commesse, sono descritte nel libro delle Cronache dei re di Giuda.

18 And he lay down Manasseh with ancestors his and he was buried in [the] garden of house his in [the] garden of Uzzah and he became king Amon son his in place of him.

Manàsse si addormentò con i suoi padri; fu sepolto nel giardino di casa sua, nel giardino di Uzza. Al suo posto divenne re suo figlio Amon.

19 [was] a son of Twenty and two year[s] Amon when became king he and two years he reigned in Jerusalem and [the] name of mother his [was] Meshullemeth [the] daughter of Haruz from Jotbah.

Quando divenne re, Amon aveva ventidue anni; regnò due anni in Gerusalemme. Sua madre, di Iotba, si chiamava Meshullemet figlia di Caruz.

20 And he did the evil in [the] eyes of Yahweh just as he had done Manasseh father his.

Fece ciò che è male agli occhi del Signore, come l'aveva fatto il padre Manàsse.

21 And he walked in all the way which he had walked father his and he served the idols which he had served father his and he bowed down to them.

Camminò su tutte le strade su cui aveva camminato il padre e servì gli idoli che suo padre aveva servito e si prostrò davanti ad essi.

22 And he forsook Yahweh [the] God of ancestors his and not he walked in [the] way of Yahweh.

Abbandonò il Signore, Dio dei suoi padri, e non seguì la via del Signore.

23 And they conspired [the] servants of Amon on him and they killed the king in own house his.

Contro Amon congiurarono i suoi ufficiali, che uccisero il re nel suo palazzo.

24 And it struck down [the] people of the land all those [who] had conspired on the king Amon and they made king [the] people of the land Josiah son his in place of him.

Ma il popolo del paese uccise quanti avevano congiurato contro il re Amon. Il medesimo popolo proclamò re al suo posto il figlio Giosia.

25 And [the] rest of [the] matters of Amon which he did ¿ not [are] they written on [the] scroll of [the] matters of the days of [the] kings of Judah.

Le altre gesta di Amon, le sue azioni, sono descritte nel libro delle Cronache dei re di Giuda.

26 (And someone buried *LB(ah)*) him in grave his in [the] garden of Uzzah and he became king Josiah son his in place of him.

Lo seppellirono nel suo sepolcro, nel giardino di Uzza. Al suo posto divenne re suo figlio Giosia.
