< 2 Kings 19 >

1 And it was when heard the king Hezekiah and he tore clothes his and he covered himself with sackcloth and he went [the] house of Yahweh.
Mgbe eze Hezekaya, nụrụ nke a, ọ dọwara uwe ya, yikwasị akwa mkpe, baa nʼime ụlọnsọ ukwu Onyenwe anyị.
2 And he sent Eliakim who [was] over the house and Shebna the scribe and [the] elders of the priests covered with sackcloth to Isaiah the prophet [the] son of Amoz.
O zipụrụ Eliakịm onye nlekọta ụlọeze, Shebna ode akwụkwọ eze na ndị okenye nʼetiti ndị nchụaja, bụ ndị yikwa akwa mkpe, ka ha jekwuru Aịzaya onye amụma, nwa Emọz.
3 And they said to him thus he says Hezekiah [is] a day of distress and rebuke and insult the day this for they have come children to birth and [is] strength there not for giving birth.

4 Perhaps he will hear Yahweh God your - all [the] words of [the] chief commander whom he sent him [the] king of Assyria - master his to taunt [the] God living and he will rebuke the words which he has heard Yahweh God your and you will lift up prayer for the remnant which is found.
Ma eleghị anya Onyenwe anyị Chineke gị, ga-anụ okwu ahụ niile nke Rabashaka bụ ọchịagha, onye nna ya ukwu bụ eze Asịrịa, zitere ịkwa Chineke dị ndụ emo. Eleghị anya Onyenwe anyị Chineke gị ga-abara ya mba nʼihi okwu ndị a niile o kwuru, bụ ndị ọ nụrụ. Ya mere, kpeere anyị ekpere, anyị bụ ndị fọdụrụ ndụ.”
5 And they came [the] servants of the king Hezekiah to Isaiah.
Mgbe ndị ozi eze Hezekaya bịakwutere Aịzaya,
6 And he said to them Isaiah thus you will say! to master your thus - he says Yahweh may not you be afraid of the words which you have heard which they have blasphemed [the] servants of [the] king of Assyria me.
ọ sịrị ha, “Otu a ka unu ga-asị nna unu ukwu, ‘Otu a ka Onyenwe anyị kwuru, Atụla egwu nʼihi okwu niile nke ị nụrụ, bụ nke ndị na-ejere eze Asịrịa ozi ji kwuluo m.
7 Here I [am] about to put in him a spirit and he will hear a report and he will return to own land his and I will make fall him by the sword in own land his.
Gee ntị, mgbe ọ nụrụ akụkọ dị aṅaa, aga m eme ka ọ chọọ ịlaghachi nʼobodo nke aka ya. Nʼebe ahụ ka m ga-emekwa ka e jiri mma agha gbuo ya.’”
8 And he returned [the] chief commander and he found [the] king of Assyria fighting on Libnah if he had heard that he had departed from Lachish.
Mgbe ọchịagha ahụ nụrụ na eze Asịrịa e sitela nʼobodo Lakish pụa, ọ laghachiri hụ na eze Asịrịa na-ebuso obodo Libna agha.
9 And he heard concerning Tirhakah [the] king of Cush saying there! he has come out to do battle with you and he returned and he sent messengers to Hezekiah saying.
Nʼoge ahụ, Senakerib natara ozi na Tiahaka, eze Kush, na-apụta ịbịa ibuso ya agha. Ya mere, o zipụrụ ndị ozi ka ha ga zie Hezekaya ozi, sị,
10 Thus you will say! to Hezekiah [the] king of Judah saying may not he deceive you God your whom you [are] trusting in him saying not it will be given Jerusalem in [the] hand of [the] king of Assyria.
“Gwanụ Hezekaya, eze Juda, Ekwela ka Chineke onye ị na-atụkwasị obi duhie gị, mgbe ọ na-asị, ‘Agaghị enyefe Jerusalem nʼaka eze Asịrịa.’
11 Here! - you you have heard [that] which they have done [the] kings of Assyria to all the lands by totally destroying them and you will you be delivered?
Nʼezie a, ị nụla ihe ndị eze Asịrịa mere obodo niile ha busoro agha, otu ha si bibie ha kpamkpam. Ma a ga-anapụtakwa gị onwe gị?
12 ¿ Did they deliver them [the] gods of the nations which they destroyed fathers my Gozan and Haran and Rezeph and [the] people of Eden who [were] in Telassar.
Chi niile nke mba niile ndị ahụ nna nna m ha lara nʼiyi, ha napụtara ha, bụ chi ndị Gozan, Haran, Rezef na nke ndị Eden, ndị nọ na Tel Asa?
13 Where [is]? he [the] king of Hamath and [the] king of Arpad and [the] king of Lair Sepharvaim Hena and Ivvah.
Olee ebe eze ndị Hamat maọbụ eze Apad nọ? Olee ebe eze obodo Lair, Sefavaim, Hena na Iva nọkwa?”
14 And he took Hezekiah the letters from [the] hand of the messengers and he read them and he went up [the] house of Yahweh and he spread out it Hezekiah before Yahweh.
Mgbe Hezekaya natara akwụkwọ ozi a site nʼaka ndị ozi ahụ, gụọ ya, o weere ya gaa nʼime ụlọnsọ Onyenwe anyị, gbasaa ya nʼihu Onyenwe anyị.
15 And he prayed Hezekiah before Yahweh and he said O Yahweh [the] God of Israel [who] sits the cherubim you he [are] God to alone you of all [the] kingdoms of the earth you you made the heavens and the earth.
Hezekaya kpere ekpere nye Onyenwe anyị, sị, “O, Onyenwe anyị, Chineke nke Izrel, onye ocheeze ya dị nʼetiti ndị cherubim, naanị gị bụ Chineke na-achị alaeze niile nke ụwa. Ọ bụkwa naanị gị kere eluigwe na ụwa.
16 Incline O Yahweh - ear your and hear open O Yahweh eyes your and see and hear [the] words of Sennacherib which he has sent it to taunt [the] God living.
Tọọ ntị gị nʼala, o Onyenwe anyị ma nụrụ; meghee anya gị abụọ Onyenwe anyị, ka ịhụ; gee ntị nụkwa okwu ndị ahụ Senakerib zitere, nke o ji ekwulu Chineke dị ndụ.
17 Truly O Yahweh they have made desolate [the] kings of Assyria the nations and land their.
“Nʼeziokwu, Onyenwe anyị, ndị eze Asịrịa alala mba niile a dị iche iche na ala ha nʼiyi, mee ka ha tọgbọrọ nʼefu.
18 And they have put gods their in the fire for not [were] gods they that except [the] work of [the] hands of humankind wood and stone and they have destroyed them.
Ha atụnyekwala chi ha niile nʼime ọkụ, repịakwa ha, nʼihi na ọ bụghị chi ka ha bụ, kama ha bụ naanị ihe a kpụrụ akpụ, nke mmadụ ji osisi na nkume pịa.
19 And now O Yahweh God our save us please from hand his so they may know all [the] kingdoms of the earth that you O Yahweh [are] God to alone you.
Ugbu a, Onyenwe anyị Chineke anyị, biko, zọpụta anyị site nʼaka ya, ka alaeze niile nke ụwa mata na naanị gị Onyenwe anyị, naanị, bụ Chineke.”
20 And he sent Isaiah [the] son of Amoz to Hezekiah saying thus he says Yahweh [the] God of Israel [that] which you prayed to me concerning Sennacherib [the] king of Assyria I have heard.
Mgbe ahụ Aịzaya nwa Emọz zigaara Hezekaya ozi sị, “Otu a ka Onyenwe anyị, Chineke Izrel sịrị, Anụla m ekpere i kpere banyere Senakerib, eze Asịrịa.
21 This [is] the word which he has spoken Yahweh on him she has despised you she has mocked you [the] virgin of [the] daughter of Zion behind you a head she has shaken [the] daughter of Jerusalem.
Nke a bụ okwu nke Onyenwe anyị kwuru megide ya: “‘Nwaagbọghọ na-amaghị nwoke, bụ Ada Zayọn na-elelị gị anya, ma jirikwa gị na-eme ihe ọchị. Nwaada Jerusalem na-efufekwa isi ya mgbe ị na-agbapụ ọsọ
22 Whom? have you taunted and have you blasphemed? and on whom? have you lifted up a voice and have you lifted up? height eyes your on [the] holy [one] of Israel.
Onye ka ị kparịrị ma kwulukwaa? Ọ bụ onye ka i sitere na nganga gị welie olu okwu gị na anya gị elu megide? Ọ bụ megide Onye Nsọ nke Izrel?
23 By [the] hand of messengers your you have taunted - [the] Lord and you have said (with [the] abundance of *Q(K)*) chariotry my I I have gone up [the] height[s] of mountains [the] remotest parts of Lebanon so I may cut down [the] height of cedars its [the] choice of pines its and I went [the] lodging place of (end its *Q(K)*) [the] forest of plantation its.
I sitere nʼaka ndị ozi gị kparịa Onyenwe anyị, kwuluo ya, ị sịkwara, “Eji m ọtụtụ ụgbọala m rigoruo ebe dị elu nke nʼelu ugwu niile, nʼebe kachasị elu nke ugwu Lebanọn. Egbudasịala m osisi sida ya niile toro ogologo, na osisi junipa ya niile kachasị mma. Ejeruola m na nsọtụ niile ya, bụ ebe kachasị maa mma nʼoke ọhịa ya niile.
24 I I have dug and I have drunk water strange so I may dry up with [the] sole of feet my all [the] canals of Egypt.
Egwuola m ọtụtụ olulu mmiri nʼala ndị mba ọzọ, ṅụkwa mmiri dị nʼebe ahụ. Ọ bụ ọbụ ụkwụ m ka m ji mee ka isi iyi niile dị nʼIjipt takpọọ.”
25 ¿ Not have you heard from distant [time] it I appointed from days of antiquity and I planned it now I have brought it and you are [about] to make desolate heaps ruined cities fortified.
“‘Ọ bụ na ị nụbeghị? Na mgbe ochie ka m kpebiri ya. Nʼụbọchị ndị ahụ gara aga ka m nọ pịa ọpịpịa ya; ugbu a, emeela m ka ọ bịa na mmezu, na ị meela ka obodo nke mgbidi gbara gburugburu, ghọọ mkpokọta nkume.
26 And inhabitants their [were] short of hand they were dismayed and they were ashamed they were [the] vegetation of [the] field and greenery of grass grass of roofs and scorching before standing grain.
Ndị bi nʼime ha, ndị a napụrụ ike ha nwere bụ ndị dara mba, ndị e tinyekwara nʼọnọdụ ihere. Ha dịka ahịhịa ndụ puru nʼala ubi na ome na-epupụta epupụta nakwa ahịhịa na-etopụta nʼelu ụlọ nke anwụ na-achakpọ tupu o tolite.
27 And sitting down you and going out you and coming you I know and raging you against me.
“‘Ma amaara m ebe ị nọ ọnọdụ marakwa ọpụpụ gị na mbata gị marakwa oke iwe gị megide m.
28 Because raging you against me and arrogance your it has come up in ears my and I will put hook my in nose your and bridle my on lips your and I will bring back you by the way which you came by it.
Nʼihi ọnụma dị gị nʼobi megide m, nʼihi na mkparị gị eruola m ntị, aga m etinye nko m nʼimi gị werekwa mkpụmkpụ igwe m kpachie egbugbere ọnụ gị mee ka ị laghachi site nʼụzọ ahụ nke i siri bịa.’
29 And this for you [will be] the sign you will eat this year self-sown grain and in the year second self-seeded plant[s] and in the year third sow and reap and plant vineyards and eat fruit their.
“Ma nke a ga-abụ ihe ịrịbama, nye gị, Hezekaya: “Nʼafọ a unu ga-eri ihe na-epu nʼonwe ya, nʼafọ nke abụọ unu ga-eri ihe ubi si na nke ahụ pupụta. Ma nʼafọ nke atọ ghaanụ mkpụrụ ubi, weenụ ihe ubi; kụọ vaịnị nʼubi vaịnị, riekwanụ mkpụrụ ha.
30 And it will add [the] escaped remnant of [the] house of Judah which remains a root downwards and it will produce fruit upwards.
Ọzọkwa, ndị fọdụrụ nʼalaeze Juda ga-agba mgbọrọgwụ nʼokpuru ala, mịkwaa mkpụrụ nʼelu.
31 For from Jerusalem it will go out a remnant and an escaped remnant from [the] mountain of Zion [the] zeal of (Yahweh of hosts *Q(K)*) it will accomplish this.
Nʼihi na ọ bụ site na Jerusalem ka ndị fọdụrụ ga-esi pụta; otu ndị fọdụrụ ndụ ga-esitekwa nʼugwu Zayọn pụta. “Ọ bụ site nʼịnụ ọkụ nʼobi nke Onyenwe anyị, Onye pụrụ ime ihe niile ga-emezu nke a.
32 Therefore thus he says Yahweh concerning [the] king of Assyria not he will come into the city this and not he will shoot there an arrow and not he will confront it a shield and not he will pour out on it a mound.
“Ya mere, nke a bụ ihe Onyenwe anyị kwuru banyere eze Asịrịa, sị, “‘Ọ gaghị azọbata ụkwụ ya nʼime obodo a maọbụ gbaa ọ bụladị otu àkụ nʼebe a. Ọ gaghị eji ọta jegharịa nʼọnụ ụzọ ama ya, maọbụ wuo mgbidi nnọchibido megide ya.
33 By the way which he came by it he will return and into the city this not he will come [the] utterance of Yahweh.
Ụzọ o si bịa ka ọ ga-esi laghachi; ọ gaghị abanye nʼobodo a. Otu a ka Onyenwe anyị kwubiri ya.
34 And I will defend the city this to deliver it for own sake my and for [the] sake of David servant my.
Aga m echebe obodo a, zọpụtakwa ya nʼihi aha m, na nʼihi Devid, bụ ohu m.’”
35 And it was in the night that and he went out - [the] angel of Yahweh and he struck down in [the] camp of Assyria one hundred eighty and five thousand and they rose early in the morning and there! all of them [were] corpses dead.

36 And he departed and he went and he returned Sennacherib [the] king of Assyria and he remained in Nineveh.
Ya mere, Senakerib, eze Asịrịa biliri ije, laghachi nʼala ya. Ọ laghachiri biri nʼobodo Ninive.
37 And it was he [was] bowing down [the] house of - Nisroch god his and Adrammelech (and Sharezer sons his *Q(K)*) they struck down him with the sword and they they escaped [the] land of Ararat and he became king Esar-haddon son his in place of him.
