2 Kings 17
1 In year two [plus] ten of Ahaz [the] king of Judah he became king Hoshea [the] son of Elah in Samaria over Israel nine years.
V dvanajstem letu Judovega kralja Aháza je v Samariji nad Izraelom začel kraljevati Elájev sin Hošéa [za] devet let.
2 And he did the evil in [the] eyes of Yahweh only not like [the] kings of Israel who they were before him.
Počel je to, kar je bilo zlo v Gospodovih očeh, toda ne kakor Izraelovi kralji, ki so bili pred njim.
3 On him he came up Shalmaneser [the] king of Assyria and he became of him Hoshea subject and he returned to him tribute.
Zoper njega je prišel gor asirski kralj Salmanasar in Hošéa je postal njegov služabnik in mu izročil darila.
4 And he found [the] king of Assyria in Hoshea treason that he had sent messengers to So [the] king of Egypt and not he had brought up tribute to [the] king of Assyria as a year in a year and he arrested him [the] king of Assyria and he confined him [the] house of imprisonment.
Asirski kralj je pri Hošéu našel zaroto, kajti ta je poslal poslance k egiptovskemu kralju Soju in ni prinesel nobenega darila k asirskemu kralju, kakor je počel leto za letom, zato ga je asirski kralj zaprl in ga zvezal v ječi.
5 And he came up [the] king of Assyria in all the land and he came up Samaria and he laid siege on it three years.
Potem je asirski kralj prišel gor skozi vso deželo, se dvignil do Samarije in jo tri leta oblegal.
6 In [the] year ninth of Hoshea he captured [the] king of Assyria Samaria and he took into exile Israel Assyria towards and he caused to dwell them in Halah and on [the] Habor [the] river of Gozan and [the] cities of Media.
V devetem letu kralja Hošéa, je asirski kralj zavzel Samarijo in Izraela odvedel proč v Asirijo ter jih nastanil v Haláhu in Habórju, pri reki Gozán in v mestih Medijcev.
7 And it was that they had sinned [the] people of Israel to Yahweh God their who had brought up them from [the] land of Egypt from under [the] hand of Pharaoh [the] king of Egypt and they had feared gods other.
Kajti bilo je tako, da so Izraelovi otroci grešili zoper Gospoda, svojega Boga, ki jih je privedel gor iz egiptovske dežele, izpod roke faraona, egiptovskega kralja in so se bali drugih bogov
8 And they had walked in [the] customs of the nations which he had dispossessed Yahweh from before [the] people of Israel and [the] kings of Israel which they had done.
in hodili po zakonih poganov, ki jih je Gospod pregnal izpred Izraelovih otrok in [po poganskih navadah] Izraelovih kraljev, ki so si jih naredili.
9 And they did secretly [the] people of Israel things which [were] not right on Yahweh God their and they built for themselves high places in all cities their from a tower of watchmen unto a city of fortification.
Izraelovi otroci so zoper Gospoda, svojega Boga, naskrivaj počeli te stvari, ki niso bile pravilne in si gradili visoke kraje po vseh svojih mestih, od stražarskega stolpa do utrjenega mesta.
10 And they erected for themselves sacred pillars and Asherah poles on every hill high and under every tree luxuriant.
Postavljali so si podobe in ašere na vsakem visokem hribu in pod vsakim zelenim drevesom
11 And they made smoke there at all [the] high places like the nations which he had taken into exile Yahweh from before them and they did things evil to provoke to anger Yahweh.
in tam zažigali kadilo na vseh visokih krajih, kakor so počeli pogani, ki jih je Gospod odvedel izpred njih in počeli zlobne stvari, da Gospoda izzivajo k jezi,
12 And they served the idols which he had said Yahweh to them not you must do the thing this.
kajti služili so malikom, o katerih jim je Gospod rekel: »Vi ne boste počeli te stvari.«
13 And he warned Yahweh Israel and Judah by [the] hand of every ([the] prophets *Q(K)*) every seer saying turn back from ways your evil and keep commandments my statutes my according to all the law which I commanded ancestors your and which I sent to you by [the] hand of servants my the prophets.
Vendar je Gospod pričeval zoper Izraela in zoper Juda po vseh prerokih in po vseh vidcih, rekoč: »Obrnite se od svojih zlobnih poti in se držite mojih zapovedi in mojih zakonov, glede na vso postavo, ki sem jo zapovedal vašim očetom in ki sem jo poslal k vam po mojih služabnikih prerokih.«
14 And not they listened and they stiffened neck their like [the] neck of ancestors their who not they trusted in Yahweh God their.
Vendar niso hoteli poslušati, temveč so otrdili svoje vratove, podobno vratovom svojih očetov, da niso verovali v Gospoda, svojega Boga.
15 And they rejected statutes his and covenant his which he had made with ancestors their and testimonies his which he warned them and they walked after vanity and they became vain and after the nations which [were] around them which he had commanded Yahweh them to not to do like them.
Zavrnili so njegove zakone in njegovo zavezo, ki jo je sklenil z njihovimi očeti in njegova pričevanja, ki jih je pričeval zoper njih. Sledili so ničevosti, postali prazni in odšli za pogani, ki so bili naokoli njih, glede katerih jim je Gospod naročil, da naj ne bi počeli kakor oni.
16 And they forsook all [the] commandments of Yahweh God their and they made for themselves a molten image (two *Q(K)*) calves and they made an Asherah pole and they bowed down to all [the] host of the heavens and they served Baal.
Zapustili so vse zapovedi Gospoda, svojega Boga in si naredili ulite podobe, celó dve teleti, naredili ašero, oboževali vso vojsko neba in služili Báalu.
17 And they made pass sons their and daughters their in the fire and they divined divinations and they practiced divination and they sold themselves to do the evil in [the] eyes of Yahweh to provoke to anger him.
Svojim sinovom in svojim hčeram so povzročali, da gredo skozi ogenj in uporabljali so vedeževanje, izrekanje urokov in se prodajali, da počno zlo v Gospodovih očeh, da ga izzivajo do jeze.
18 And he was angry Yahweh very with Israel and he removed them from on face his not anyone was left only [the] tribe of Judah to only it.
Zato je bil Gospod zelo jezen nad Izraelom in jih odstranil iz svojega pogleda. Tam ni ostal nihče razen samo Judov rod.
19 Also Judah not it kept [the] commandments of Yahweh God their and they walked in [the] customs of Israel which they had done.
Tudi Juda se ni držal zapovedi Gospoda, svojega Boga, temveč je hodil po Izraelovih zakonih, ki so jih naredili.
20 And he rejected Yahweh all [the] offspring of Israel and he afflicted them and he gave them in [the] hand of plunderers until that he threw them from before him.
Gospod je zavrnil vse Izraelovo seme, jih prizadel in jih izročil v roko plenilcev, dokler jih ni pognal izpred svojega pogleda.
21 If he tore Israel from with [the] house of David and they made king Jeroboam [the] son of Nebat (and he enticed away *Q(K)*) Jeroboam Israel from after Yahweh and he caused to sin them a sin great.
Kajti Izraela je odtrgal od Davidove hiše in Nebátovega sina Jerobeáma so postavili za kralja. Jerobeám je Izraela pregnal od sledenja Gospodu in jih primoral, da zagrešijo velik greh.
22 And they walked [the] people of Israel in all [the] sins of Jeroboam which he did not they turned aside from it.
Kajti Izraelovi otroci so hodili v vseh Jerobeámovih grehih, ki jih je ta storil; niso se odvrnili od njih,
23 Until that he removed Yahweh Israel from on face his just as he had spoken by [the] hand of all servants his the prophets and it went into exile Israel from on land its Assyria towards until the day this.
dokler ni Gospod Izraela odstranil izpred svojega pogleda, kakor je govoril po vseh svojih služabnikih prerokih. Tako je bil Izrael odveden proč iz svoje lastne dežele, v Asirijo, do današnjega dne.
24 And he brought [people] [the] king of Assyria from Babylon and from Cuthah and from Avva and from Hamath and Sepharvaim and he caused [them] to dwell in [the] cities of Samaria in place of [the] people of Israel and they took possession of Samaria and they dwelt in cities its.
Asirski kralj pa je privedel može iz Babilona, iz Kute, iz Avája, iz Hamáta in iz Sefarvájima ter jih namesto Izraelovih otrok postavil v mesta Samarije. Samarijo so vzeli v last in prebivali v njenih mestih.
25 And it was at [the] beginning of dwelling they there not they feared Yahweh and he sent Yahweh among them lions and they were killing in them.
Na začetku njihovega prebivanja je bilo tam tako, da se niso bali Gospoda, zato je Gospod mednje poslal leve, ki so usmrtili nekatere izmed njih.
26 And people said to [the] king of Assyria saying the nations which you took into exile and you caused to dwell in [the] cities of Samaria not they know [the] custom of [the] god of the land and he has sent among them lions and there they [are] killing them since not they [are] knowing [the] custom of [the] god of the land.
Zato so asirskemu kralju govorili, rekoč: »Narodi, ki si jih odstranil in postavil v samarijska mesta, ne poznajo sodbe Boga dežele, zato je mednje poslal leve in glej, ti jih pobijajo, ker ne poznajo sodbe Boga dežele.«
27 And he commanded [the] king of Assyria saying take there towards one from the priests whom you took into exile from there so they may go and they may dwell there so he may teach them [the] custom of [the] god of the land.
Potem je asirski kralj zapovedal, rekoč: »Odvedite tja enega izmed duhovnikov, ki ste jih privedli od tam in naj gredo in prebivajo tam in naj jih nauči sodbe Boga dežele.«
28 And he went one from the priests whom they had taken into exile from Samaria and he dwelt in Beth-el and he was teaching them how? will they fear Yahweh.
Potem je eden izmed duhovnikov, ki so ga odvedli iz Samarije, prišel in prebival v Betelu ter jih učil, kako naj bi se bali Gospoda.
29 And they were making nation nation own gods its and they placed [them] - in [the] house of the high places which they had made the Samaritans nation nation in own cities their where they [were] dwelling there.
Vendar je vsak narod izdelal svoje lastne bogove in jih postavil v hiše visokih krajev, ki so jih naredili Samarijani, vsak narod v svoja mesta, v katerih so prebivali.
30 And [the] people of Babylon they made Succoth Benoth and [the] people of Cuthah they made Nergal and [the] people of Hamath they made Ashima.
Možje iz Babilona so naredili Sukót Benót, možje iz Kute so naredili Nergála, možje iz Hamáta so naredili Ašimája,
31 And the Avvites they made Nibhaz and Tartak and the Sepharvites [were] burning children their in the fire to Adrammelech and Anammelech ([the] gods of Sepharvaim. *Q(K)*)
Avéjci so naredili Nibháza in Tartáka, Sefarvéjci pa so svoje otroke v ognju sežigali Adramélehu in Anamélehu, sefarvájimskima bogovoma.
32 And they were fearing Yahweh and they appointed for themselves from among themselves priests of [the] high places and they were offering for them in [the] house of the high places.
Tako so se bali Gospoda in si postavili najnižje izmed njih za duhovnike visokih krajev, ki so zanje žrtvovali v hišah visokih krajev.
33 Yahweh they were fearing and own gods their they were serving according to [the] custom of the nations which they had taken into exile them from there.
Bali so se Gospoda in služili svojim lastnim bogovom po običaju narodov, od katerih so jih odvedli.
34 Until the day this they [are] doing according to the customs former not they [are] fearing Yahweh and not they [are] doing according to statutes their and according to judgment their and according to the law and according to the commandment which he commanded Yahweh [the] descendants of Jacob whom he made name his Israel.
Do tega dne počnejo po prejšnjih navadah. Ne bojijo se Gospoda niti ne delajo po njihovih zakonih ali po njihovih odredbah ali po postavi in zapovedi, ki jo je Gospod zapovedal Jakobovim otrokom, ki jih je imenoval Izrael,
35 And he made Yahweh with them a covenant and he commanded them saying not you must fear gods other and not you must bow down to them and not you must serve them and not you must sacrifice to them.
s katerimi je Gospod sklenil zavezo in jim naročil, rekoč: »Vi se ne boste bali drugih bogov, niti se jim ne boste priklanjali, niti jim služili, niti jim žrtvovali,
36 That except Yahweh who he brought up you from [the] land of Egypt with power great and by an arm outstretched him you will fear and to him you will bow down and to him you will sacrifice.
temveč Gospoda, ki vas je privedel gor iz egiptovske dežele z veliko močjo in z iztegnjenim laktom, njega se boste bali in njega boste oboževali in njemu boste žrtvovali.
37 And the statutes and the judgments and the law and the commandment which he wrote for you you will take care! to do all the days and not you must fear gods other.
Zakone, predpise, odredbe in zapoved, ki vam jo je zapisal, boste obeleževali, da jih izvajate na vékomaj in ne boste se bali drugih bogov.
38 And the covenant which I made with you not you must forget and not you must fear gods other.
Zaveze, ki sem jo sklenil z vami, ne boste pozabili niti se ne boste bali drugih bogov.
39 That except Yahweh God your you will fear and he he will deliver you from [the] hand of all enemies your.
Temveč se boste bali Gospoda, svojega Boga in on vas bo osvobodil iz roke vseh vaših sovražnikov.«
40 And not they listened that except according to custom their former they [were] doing.
Vendar niso prisluhnili, temveč so počeli po svoji prejšnji navadi.
41 And they were - the nations these fearing Yahweh and idols their they were serving also children their - and [the] children of children their just as they did fathers their they [are] doing until the day this.
Tako so se ti narodi bali Gospoda in služili svojim rezanim podobam, tako njihovi otroci in otroci njihovih otrok, kakor so počeli njihovi očetje, tako počnejo do današnjega dne.
