2 Kings 17
1 In year two [plus] ten of Ahaz [the] king of Judah he became king Hoshea [the] son of Elah in Samaria over Israel nine years.
Εν τω δωδεκάτω έτει του Άχαζ βασιλέως του Ιούδα, εβασίλευσεν Ωσηέ ο υιός του Ηλά εν Σαμαρεία επί τον Ισραήλ, εννέα έτη.
2 And he did the evil in [the] eyes of Yahweh only not like [the] kings of Israel who they were before him.
Και έπραξε πονηρά ενώπιον του Κυρίου, πλην ουχί ως οι βασιλείς του Ισραήλ οίτινες ήσαν προ αυτού.
3 On him he came up Shalmaneser [the] king of Assyria and he became of him Hoshea subject and he returned to him tribute.
Επ' αυτόν ανέβη Σαλμανασάρ ο βασιλεύς της Ασσυρίας· και έγεινεν Ωσηέ δούλος αυτού και έδιδεν εις αυτόν φόρον.
4 And he found [the] king of Assyria in Hoshea treason that he had sent messengers to So [the] king of Egypt and not he had brought up tribute to [the] king of Assyria as a year in a year and he arrested him [the] king of Assyria and he confined him [the] house of imprisonment.
Εύρηκε δε ο βασιλεύς της Ασσυρίας συνωμοσίαν εν τω Ωσηέ· διότι απέστειλε μηνυτάς προς τον Σω, βασιλέα της Αιγύπτου, και δεν έδωκε φόρον εις τον βασιλέα της Ασσυρίας, ως έκαμνε κατ' έτος· όθεν συνέκλεισεν αυτόν ο βασιλεύς της Ασσυρίας και έδεσεν αυτόν εν φυλακή.
5 And he came up [the] king of Assyria in all the land and he came up Samaria and he laid siege on it three years.
Και ανέβη ο βασιλεύς της Ασσυρίας διά πάσης της γής· και ανέβη εις την Σαμάρειαν και επολιόρκησεν αυτήν τρία έτη.
6 In [the] year ninth of Hoshea he captured [the] king of Assyria Samaria and he took into exile Israel Assyria towards and he caused to dwell them in Halah and on [the] Habor [the] river of Gozan and [the] cities of Media.
Εν τω εννάτω έτει του Ωσηέ, ο βασιλεύς της Ασσυρίας εκυρίευσε την Σαμάρειαν και μετώκισε τον Ισραήλ εις την Ασσυρίαν, και κατώκισεν αυτούς εν Αλά και εν Αβώρ, παρά τον ποταμόν Γωζάν, και εν ταις πόλεσι των Μήδων.
7 And it was that they had sinned [the] people of Israel to Yahweh God their who had brought up them from [the] land of Egypt from under [the] hand of Pharaoh [the] king of Egypt and they had feared gods other.
Έγεινε δε τούτο, διότι οι υιοί του Ισραήλ ημάρτησαν εις Κύριον τον Θεόν αυτών, όστις ανήγαγεν αυτούς εκ γης Αιγύπτου, υποκάτωθεν της χειρός του Φαραώ βασιλέως της Αιγύπτου, και εσεβάσβησαν άλλους θεούς,
8 And they had walked in [the] customs of the nations which he had dispossessed Yahweh from before [the] people of Israel and [the] kings of Israel which they had done.
και περιεπάτησαν εις τα νόμιμα των εθνών, τα οποία εξεδίωξεν ο Κύριος απέμπροσθεν των υιών Ισραήλ, και τα των βασιλέων του Ισραήλ, τα οποία εθέσπισαν.
9 And they did secretly [the] people of Israel things which [were] not right on Yahweh God their and they built for themselves high places in all cities their from a tower of watchmen unto a city of fortification.
Και έπραττον οι υιοί του Ισραήλ κρυφίως πράγματα, τα οποία δεν ήσαν ευθέα ενώπιον Κυρίου του Θεού αυτών, και ωκοδόμησαν εις εαυτούς υψηλούς τόπους εν πάσαις ταις πόλεσιν αυτών, από πύργου φυλάκων έως οχυράς πόλεως.
10 And they erected for themselves sacred pillars and Asherah poles on every hill high and under every tree luxuriant.
Και ανήγειραν εις εαυτούς αγάλματα και άλση επί πάντα υψηλόν λόφον και υποκάτω παντός δένδρου πρασίνου.
11 And they made smoke there at all [the] high places like the nations which he had taken into exile Yahweh from before them and they did things evil to provoke to anger Yahweh.
Και εκεί εθυμίαζον επί πάντας τους υψηλούς τόπους, καθώς τα έθνη τα οποία ο Κύριος εξεδίωξεν απέμπροσθεν αυτών· και έπραττον πονηρά πράγματα διά να παροργίζωσι τον Κύριον·
12 And they served the idols which he had said Yahweh to them not you must do the thing this.
και ελάτρευσαν τα είδωλα, περί των οποίων ο Κύριος είπε προς αυτούς, Δεν θέλετε κάμει το πράγμα τούτο.
13 And he warned Yahweh Israel and Judah by [the] hand of every ([the] prophets *Q(K)*) every seer saying turn back from ways your evil and keep commandments my statutes my according to all the law which I commanded ancestors your and which I sent to you by [the] hand of servants my the prophets.
Και διεμαρτυρήθη ο Κύριος κατά του Ισραήλ και κατά του Ιούδα, διά χειρός πάντων των προφητών, πάντων των βλεπόντων, λέγων, Επιστρέψατε από των οδών υμών των πονηρών και φυλάττετε τας εντολάς μου, τα διατάγματά μου, κατά πάντα τον νόμον τον οποίον προσέταξα εις τους πατέρας σας και τον οποίον απέστειλα εις εσάς διά μέσου των δούλων μου των προφητών.
14 And not they listened and they stiffened neck their like [the] neck of ancestors their who not they trusted in Yahweh God their.
Πλην αυτοί δεν υπήκουσαν, αλλ' εσκλήρυναν τον τράχηλον αυτών, ως τον τράχηλον των πατέρων αυτών, οίτινες δεν επίστευσαν εις Κύριον τον Θεόν αυτών.
15 And they rejected statutes his and covenant his which he had made with ancestors their and testimonies his which he warned them and they walked after vanity and they became vain and after the nations which [were] around them which he had commanded Yahweh them to not to do like them.
Και απέρριψαν τα διατάγματα αυτού και την διαθήκην αυτού, την οποίαν έκαμε μετά των πατέρων αυτών, και τας διαμαρτυρήσεις αυτού, τας οποίας διεμαρτυρήθη εναντίον αυτών· και υπήγαν οπίσω της ματαιότητος, και εματαιώθησαν, και οπίσω των εθνών των πέριξ αυτών, περί των οποίων ο Κύριος προσέταξεν αυτούς, να μη πράξωσιν ως εκείνα.
16 And they forsook all [the] commandments of Yahweh God their and they made for themselves a molten image (two *Q(K)*) calves and they made an Asherah pole and they bowed down to all [the] host of the heavens and they served Baal.
Και εγκατέλιπον πάσας ταις εντολάς Κυρίου του Θεού αυτών, και έκαμον εις εαυτούς χωνευτά, δύο μόσχους, και έκαμον άλση και προσεκύνησαν πάσαν την στρατιάν του ουρανού και ελάτρευσαν τον Βάαλ.
17 And they made pass sons their and daughters their in the fire and they divined divinations and they practiced divination and they sold themselves to do the evil in [the] eyes of Yahweh to provoke to anger him.
Και διεβίβαζον τους υιούς αυτών και τας θυγατέρας αυτών διά του πυρός, και μετεχειρίζοντο μαντείας και οιωνισμούς, και επώλησαν εαυτούς εις το να πράττωσι πονηρά ενώπιον του Κυρίου, διά να παροργίζωσιν αυτόν.
18 And he was angry Yahweh very with Israel and he removed them from on face his not anyone was left only [the] tribe of Judah to only it.
Διά ταύτα ο Κύριος ωργίσθη σφόδρα κατά του Ισραήλ και απέβαλεν αυτούς από προσώπου αυτού· δεν εναπελείφθη, παρά μόνη η φυλή του Ιούδα.
19 Also Judah not it kept [the] commandments of Yahweh God their and they walked in [the] customs of Israel which they had done.
Και ο Ιούδας έτι δεν εφύλαξε τας εντολάς Κυρίου του Θεού αυτού, αλλά περιεπάτησαν εις τα διατάγματα του Ισραήλ, τα οποία έκαμον.
20 And he rejected Yahweh all [the] offspring of Israel and he afflicted them and he gave them in [the] hand of plunderers until that he threw them from before him.
Και απέβαλεν ο Κύριος παν το σπέρμα του Ισραήλ και κατέθλιψεν αυτούς, και παρέδωκεν αυτούς εις την χείρα των διαρπαζόντων, εωσού απέρριψεν αυτούς από προσώπου αυτού.
21 If he tore Israel from with [the] house of David and they made king Jeroboam [the] son of Nebat (and he enticed away *Q(K)*) Jeroboam Israel from after Yahweh and he caused to sin them a sin great.
Διότι απεσχίσθη ο Ισραήλ από του οίκου Δαβίδ, και έκαμον βασιλέα τον Ιεροβοάμ υιόν του Ναβάτ· και ο Ιεροβοάμ απέσπασε τον Ισραήλ εξόπισθεν του Κυρίου, και έκαμεν αυτούς να αμαρτήσωσιν αμαρτίαν μεγάλην.
22 And they walked [the] people of Israel in all [the] sins of Jeroboam which he did not they turned aside from it.
Διότι οι υιοί Ισραήλ περιεπάτησαν εν πάσαις ταις αμαρτίαις του Ιεροβοάμ, τας οποίας έπραξε· δεν απεμακρύνθησαν απ' αυτών,
23 Until that he removed Yahweh Israel from on face his just as he had spoken by [the] hand of all servants his the prophets and it went into exile Israel from on land its Assyria towards until the day this.
εωσού ο Κύριος απέβαλε τον Ισραήλ από προσώπου αυτού, καθώς ελάλησε διά χειρός πάντων των δούλων αυτού των προφητών. Και μετωκίσθη ο Ισραήλ από της γης αυτού εις την Ασσυρίαν, έως της ημέρας ταύτης.
24 And he brought [people] [the] king of Assyria from Babylon and from Cuthah and from Avva and from Hamath and Sepharvaim and he caused [them] to dwell in [the] cities of Samaria in place of [the] people of Israel and they took possession of Samaria and they dwelt in cities its.
Και έφερεν ο βασιλεύς της Ασσυρίας ανθρώπους εκ Βαβυλώνος και από Χουθά και από Αυά και από Αιμάθ και από Σεφαρουΐμ, και κατώκισεν εν ταις πόλεσι της Σαμαρείας αντί των υιών Ισραήλ, και εκληρονόμησαν την Σαμάρειαν και κατώκησαν εν ταις πόλεσιν αυτής.
25 And it was at [the] beginning of dwelling they there not they feared Yahweh and he sent Yahweh among them lions and they were killing in them.
Και εν τη αρχή της εκεί κατοικήσεως αυτών, δεν εφοβήθησαν τον Κύριον· και απέστειλεν ο Κύριος τους λέοντας μεταξύ αυτών, και εθανάτονον εξ αυτών.
26 And people said to [the] king of Assyria saying the nations which you took into exile and you caused to dwell in [the] cities of Samaria not they know [the] custom of [the] god of the land and he has sent among them lions and there they [are] killing them since not they [are] knowing [the] custom of [the] god of the land.
Και είπον προς τον βασιλέα της Ασσυρίας, λέγοντες, Τα έθνη, τα οποία μετώκισας και εκάθισας εν ταις πόλεσι της Σαμαρείας, δεν γνωρίζουσι τον νόμον του Θεού της γής· διά τούτο απέστειλε τους λέοντας μεταξύ αυτών, και ιδού, θανατόνουσιν αυτούς, επειδή δεν γνωρίζουσι τον νόμον του Θεού της γης.
27 And he commanded [the] king of Assyria saying take there towards one from the priests whom you took into exile from there so they may go and they may dwell there so he may teach them [the] custom of [the] god of the land.
Τότε ο βασιλεύς της Ασσυρίας προσέταξε, λέγων, Φέρετε εκεί ένα των ιερέων, τους οποίους μετωκίσατε εκείθεν· και ας υπάγωσι και ας κατοικήσωσιν εκεί· και ας διδάξη αυτούς τον νόμον του Θεού της γης.
28 And he went one from the priests whom they had taken into exile from Samaria and he dwelt in Beth-el and he was teaching them how? will they fear Yahweh.
Και εις των ιερέων, τους οποίους μετώκισαν εκ της Σαμαρείας, ήλθε και κατώκησεν εν Βαιθήλ, και εδίδασκεν αυτούς πως να φοβώνται τον Κύριον.
29 And they were making nation nation own gods its and they placed [them] - in [the] house of the high places which they had made the Samaritans nation nation in own cities their where they [were] dwelling there.
Έκαστον όμως έθνος έκαμον θεούς εις εαυτούς και έθεσαν εις τους οίκους των υψηλών τόπων, τους οποίους οι Σαμαρείται έκαμον, έκαστον έθνος εν ταις πόλεσιν αυτών, όπου κατώκουν.
30 And [the] people of Babylon they made Succoth Benoth and [the] people of Cuthah they made Nergal and [the] people of Hamath they made Ashima.
Και οι άνδρες της Βαβυλώνος έκαμον την Σοκχώθ-βενώθ, οι δε άνδρες της Χουθά έκαμον την Νεργάλ, και οι άνδρες της Αιμάθ έκαμον την Ασιμά,
31 And the Avvites they made Nibhaz and Tartak and the Sepharvites [were] burning children their in the fire to Adrammelech and Anammelech ([the] gods of Sepharvaim. *Q(K)*)
και οι Αυίται έκαμον την Νιβάζ και τον Ταρτάκ, και οι Σεφαρουΐται έκαιον τους υιούς αυτών διά του πυρός εις τον Αδραμμέλεχ και Αναμμέλεχ, θεούς των Σεφαρουϊτών.
32 And they were fearing Yahweh and they appointed for themselves from among themselves priests of [the] high places and they were offering for them in [the] house of the high places.
Ούτως εφοβούντο τον Κύριον· έκαμον δε εις εαυτούς εκ των εσχάτων μεταξύ αυτών ιερείς των υψηλών τόπων, οίτινες εθυσίαζον υπέρ αυτών εν τοις οίκοις των υψηλών τόπων.
33 Yahweh they were fearing and own gods their they were serving according to [the] custom of the nations which they had taken into exile them from there.
Εφοβούντο μεν τον Κύριον, ελάτρευον όμως τους ιδίους αυτών θεούς, κατά τον τρόπον των εθνών, όθεν μετωκίσθησαν.
34 Until the day this they [are] doing according to the customs former not they [are] fearing Yahweh and not they [are] doing according to statutes their and according to judgment their and according to the law and according to the commandment which he commanded Yahweh [the] descendants of Jacob whom he made name his Israel.
Έως της ημέρας ταύτης κάμνουσι κατά τους προτέρους τρόπους· δεν φοβούνται τον Κύριον και δεν πράττουσι κατά τα διατάγματα αυτών και κατά τας κρίσεις αυτών και κατά τον νόμον και την εντολήν, την οποίαν προσέταξεν ο Κύριος εις τους υιούς Ιακώβ, τον οποίον ωνόμασεν Ισραήλ·
35 And he made Yahweh with them a covenant and he commanded them saying not you must fear gods other and not you must bow down to them and not you must serve them and not you must sacrifice to them.
και έκαμε προς αυτούς ο Κύριος διαθήκην και προσέταξεν αυτούς, λέγων, Δεν θέλετε φοβηθή άλλους θεούς, και δεν θέλετε προσκυνήσει αυτούς ουδέ λατρεύσει αυτούς ουδέ θυσιάσει εις αυτούς·
36 That except Yahweh who he brought up you from [the] land of Egypt with power great and by an arm outstretched him you will fear and to him you will bow down and to him you will sacrifice.
αλλά τον Κύριον, όστις σας ανήγαγεν εκ γης Αιγύπτου μετά δυνάμεως μεγάλης και εν βραχίονι εξηπλωμένω, αυτόν θέλετε φοβείσθαι και αυτόν θέλετε προσκυνεί και εις αυτόν θέλετε θυσιάζει,
37 And the statutes and the judgments and the law and the commandment which he wrote for you you will take care! to do all the days and not you must fear gods other.
και τα διατάγματα και τας κρίσεις και τον νόμον και την εντολήν, την οποίαν έγραψε διά σας, θέλετε προσέχει να εκτελήτε πάντοτε· άλλους δε θεούς δεν θέλετε φοβηθή·
38 And the covenant which I made with you not you must forget and not you must fear gods other.
και την διαθήκην, την οποίαν έκαμα προς εσάς, δεν θέλετε λησμονήσει και δεν θέλετε φοβηθή άλλους θεούς·
39 That except Yahweh God your you will fear and he he will deliver you from [the] hand of all enemies your.
αλλά Κύριον τον Θεόν σας θέλετε φοβείσθαι και αυτός θέλει σας ελευθερώσει εκ χειρός πάντων των εχθρών σας.
40 And not they listened that except according to custom their former they [were] doing.
Πλην δεν υπήκουσαν, αλλ' έκαμνον κατά τους προτέρους τρόπους αυτών.
41 And they were - the nations these fearing Yahweh and idols their they were serving also children their - and [the] children of children their just as they did fathers their they [are] doing until the day this.
Και τα έθνη ταύτα εφοβούντο μεν τον Κύριον, ελάτρευον όμως τα γλυπτά αυτών· και οι υιοί αυτών και των υιών αυτών οι υιοί, καθώς οι πατέρες αυτών έκαμνον, ούτω κάμνουσιν έως της ημέρας ταύτης.
