< 2 Kings 16 >

1 In year seven-teen year of Pekah [the] son of Remaliah he became king Ahaz [the] son of Jotham [the] king of Judah.
Na rĩrĩ, mwaka-inĩ wa ikũmi na mũgwanja wa ũthamaki wa Peka mũrũ wa Remalia, Ahazu mũrũ wa Jothamu mũthamaki wa Juda akĩambĩrĩria gũthamaka.
2 [was] a son of Twenty year[s] Ahaz when became king he and six-teen year[s] he reigned in Jerusalem and not he did the right in [the] eyes of Yahweh God his like David ancestor his.
Ahazu aarĩ wa mĩaka mĩrongo ĩĩrĩ rĩrĩa aatuĩkire mũthamaki, nake agĩthamaka arĩ Jerusalemu mĩaka ikũmi na ĩtandatũ. Nake ndaigana gwĩka maũndũ magĩrĩire maitho-inĩ ma Jehova Ngai wake, ta ũrĩa ithe Daudi eekĩte.
3 And he walked in [the] way of [the] kings of Israel and also son his he made pass in the fire according to [the] abominations of the nations which he had dispossessed Yahweh them from before [the] people of Israel.
Aathiiaga na mĩthiĩre ya athamaki a Isiraeli, o na akĩruta mũriũ arĩ igongona rĩa njino, akĩrũmĩrĩra njĩra iria irĩ magigi cia ndũrĩrĩ iria Jehova aingatire ciehere mbere ya Isiraeli.
4 And he sacrificed and he made smoke at the high places and on the hills and under every tree luxuriant.
Nĩaarutĩire magongona na agĩcinĩra ũbumba kũndũ kũrĩa gũtũũgĩru, na tũcũmbĩrĩ-inĩ twa irĩma, o na rungu rwa mĩtĩ ĩrĩa mĩruru.
5 Then he came up Rezin [the] king of Aram and Pekah [the] son of Remaliah [the] king of Israel Jerusalem for battle and they laid siege on Ahaz and not they were able to do battle.
Hĩndĩ ĩyo Rezini mũthamaki wa Suriata, na Peka mũrũ wa Remalia mũthamaki wa Isiraeli, makiumagara makahũũrane na Jerusalemu, na makĩrigiicĩria Ahazu, no matiamũtooririe.
6 At the time that he restored Rezin [the] king of Aram Elath to Aram and he cleared out the Jews from Elath (and Edomites *Q(K)*) they came Elath and they have dwelt there until the day this.

7 And he sent Ahaz messengers to Tiglath-pileser [the] king of Assyria saying [am] servant your and son your I come up and deliver me from [the] hand of [the] king of Aram and from [the] hand of [the] king of Israel who are rising up on me.
Ahazu agĩtũma andũ kũrĩ Tigilathu-Pileseru mũthamaki wa Ashuri makamwĩre atĩrĩ, “Nĩ niĩ ndungata na ngombo yaku. Ambata, ũũke ũũhonokie kuuma guoko-inĩ kwa mũthamaki wa Suriata na mũthamaki wa Isiraeli, arĩa maratharĩkĩra.”
8 And he took Ahaz the silver and the gold which was found [the] house of Yahweh and in [the] treasuries of [the] house of the king and he sent [it] to [the] king of Assyria a gift.
Nake Ahazu agĩkuua betha na thahabu iria ciarĩ hekarũ-inĩ ya Jehova, na igĩĩna-inĩ iria cia nyũmba ya ũthamaki, na agĩcitũma irĩ iheo kũrĩ mũthamaki wa Ashuri.
9 And he listened to him [the] king of Assyria and he came up [the] king of Assyria to Damascus and he seized it and he took into exile it Kir towards and Rezin he put to death.
Mũthamaki wa Ashuri agĩĩtĩkĩra na ũndũ wa gũtharĩkĩra itũũra rĩa Dameski na akĩrĩtunyana. Agĩthaamia atũũri akuo akĩmatwara Kiri na akĩũraga Rezini.
10 And he went the king Ahaz to meet Tiglath-pileser [the] king of Assyria Damascus and he saw the altar which [was] in Damascus and he sent the king Ahaz to Uriah the priest [the] likeness of the altar and pattern its for all work its.

11 And he built Uriah the priest the altar according to all that he had sent the king Ahaz from Damascus so he did Uriah the priest until came the king Ahaz from Damascus.

12 And he came the king from Damascus and he saw the king the altar and he drew near the king to the altar and he offered up on it.
Rĩrĩa mũthamaki aacookire kuuma Dameski na akĩona kĩgongona kĩu, agĩkuhĩrĩria na akĩrutĩra igongona igũrũ rĩakĩo.
13 And he made smoke burnt offering his and grain offering his and he poured out drink offering his and he sprinkled [the] blood of the peace offerings which [belonged] to him on the altar.
Akĩruta igongona rĩake rĩa njino na rĩa mũtu, na agĩitĩrĩria indo iria irutagwo cia kũnyuuo na akĩminjaminjĩria kĩgongona kĩu thakame ya maruta ma ũiguano.
14 And the altar of bronze which [was] before Yahweh and he brought near from with [the] face of the house from between the altar and from between [the] house of Yahweh and he put it on [the] side of the altar north-ward.
Nakĩo kĩgongona gĩa gĩcango kĩrĩa kĩarĩ mbere ya Jehova, agĩkĩruta mwena wa na mbere wa hekarũ, kuuma gatagatĩ-inĩ ga kĩgongona kĩu kĩerũ na hekarũ ya Jehova, agĩkĩiga mwena wa gathigathini wa kĩgongona kĩu kĩerũ.
15 (And he commanded *Q(K)*) the king Ahaz Uriah the priest saying on the altar great make smoke [the] burnt offering of the morning and [the] grain offering of the evening and [the] burnt offering of the king and grain offering his and [the] burnt offering of all [the] people of the land and grain offering their and drink offerings their and all [the] blood of [the] burnt offering and all [the] blood of [the] sacrifice on it you will sprinkle and [the] altar of bronze it will belong to me to consult.
Hĩndĩ ĩyo Mũthamaki Ahazu akĩhe Uria ũrĩa mũthĩnjĩri-Ngai mawatho maya: “Igũrũ rĩa kĩgongona kĩu kĩnene kĩerũ, rutagĩra ho iruta rĩa njino rĩa rũciinĩ, na iruta rĩa mũtu rĩa hwaĩ-inĩ, na iruta rĩa mũthamaki rĩa njino, na iruta rĩake rĩa mũtu, na iruta rĩa njino rĩa andũ othe a bũrũri, na iruta rĩao rĩa mũtu na iruta rĩao rĩa kũnyuuo. Na ũminjaminjagĩrie kĩgongona thakame yothe ya maruta ma njino na ya magongona. No kĩgongona gĩa gĩcango, ndĩrĩkĩhũthagĩra na gũtuĩria ũhoro kuuma kũrĩ Jehova.”
16 And he did Uriah the priest according to all that he commanded the king Ahaz.
Nake Uria ũrĩa mũthĩnjĩri-Ngai agĩĩka o ta ũrĩa Mũthamaki Ahazu aamwathĩte.
17 And he cut off the king Ahaz the rims of the stands and he removed from on them (*Q(K)*) the laver and the sea he took down from on the ox[en] the bronze which [were] under it and he put it on a pavement of stone.
Mũthamaki Ahazu akĩeheria icunjĩ cia mwena-inĩ, na akĩeheria iraĩ kuuma makaari-inĩ macio. Akĩeheria itangi rĩrĩa rĩetagwo Karia igũrũ rĩa mĩhianano ya ndegwa cia gĩcango iria ciakanyiitĩrĩire, na agĩkaigĩrĩra itina-inĩ cia mahiga.
18 And ([the] covered structure of *Q(K)*) the sabbath which people had built in the house and [the] entrance of the king outer he removed [the] house of Yahweh because of [the] king of Assyria.
Nĩeheririe gĩthaku gĩa Thabatũ kĩrĩa gĩakĩtwo hekarũ-inĩ, na agĩthaamia itoonyero rĩa athamaki hau nja ya hekarũ ya Jehova, nĩguo akenie mũthamaki wa Ashuri.
19 And [the] rest of [the] matters of Ahaz which he did ¿ not [are] they written on [the] scroll of [the] matters of the days of [the] kings of Judah.
Ha ũhoro wa maũndũ marĩa mangĩ makoniĩ wathani wa Ahazu, na ũrĩa eekire-rĩ, githĩ matiandĩkĩtwo ibuku-inĩ rĩa mahinda ma athamaki a Juda?
20 And he lay down Ahaz with ancestors his and he was buried with ancestors his in [the] city of David and he became king Hezekiah son his in place of him.
Nake Ahazu akĩhurũka hamwe na maithe make, na agĩthikwo hamwe nao Itũũra-inĩ inene rĩa Daudi. Nake mũriũ Hezekia agĩtuĩka mũthamaki ithenya rĩake.
