2 Kings 16

1 In year seven-teen year of Pekah [the] son of Remaliah he became king Ahaz [the] son of Jotham [the] king of Judah.

Idet syttende Pekas, Remalias Søns, Aar blev Akas, en Søn af Judas Konge Jotham, Konge.

2 [was] a son of Twenty year[s] Ahaz when became king he and six-teen year[s] he reigned in Jerusalem and not he did the right in [the] eyes of Yahweh God his like David ancestor his.

Akas var tyve Aar gammel, der han blev Konge, og regerede i seksten Aar i Jerusalem, og han gjorde ikke det, som var ret for Herrens, hans Guds, Øjne, som David, hans Fader,

3 And he walked in [the] way of [the] kings of Israel and also son his he made pass in the fire according to [the] abominations of the nations which he had dispossessed Yahweh them from before [the] people of Israel.

men han vandrede i Israels Kongers Vej; tilmed lod han sin Søn gaa igennem Ilden efter de Hedningers Vederstyggeligheder, hvilke Herren havde fordrevet for Israels Børns Ansigt.

4 And he sacrificed and he made smoke at the high places and on the hills and under every tree luxuriant.

Han ofrede ogsaa og gjorde Røgelse paa de høje Steder og paa Højene og under alle grønne Træer.

5 Then he came up Rezin [the] king of Aram and Pekah [the] son of Remaliah [the] king of Israel Jerusalem for battle and they laid siege on Ahaz and not they were able to do battle.

Da drog Rezin, Kongen af Syrien, og Peka, Remalias Søn, Kongen i Israel, op imod Jerusalem til Krig og belejrede Akas, men de kunde ikke komme til at stride.

6 At the time that he restored Rezin [the] king of Aram Elath to Aram and he cleared out the Jews from Elath (and Edomites *Q(K)*) they came Elath and they have dwelt there until the day this.

Paa den samme Tid bragte Rezin, Kongen af Syrien, Elath igen til Syrien og fordrev Jøderne af Elath, og Syrerne kom til Elath og boede der indtil denne Dag.

7 And he sent Ahaz messengers to Tiglath-pileser [the] king of Assyria saying [am] servant your and son your I come up and deliver me from [the] hand of [the] king of Aram and from [the] hand of [the] king of Israel who are rising up on me.

Saa sendte Akas Bud til Thiglath-Pileser, Kongen af Assyrien, og lod sige: Jeg er din Tjener og din Søn, kom op og frels mig af Syriens Konges Haand, og af Israels Konges Haand, hvilke have oprejst sig imod mig.

8 And he took Ahaz the silver and the gold which was found [the] house of Yahweh and in [the] treasuries of [the] house of the king and he sent [it] to [the] king of Assyria a gift.

Og Akas tog det Sølv og det Guld, som fandtes i Herrens Hus og i Kongens Hus's Skatkammer og sendte Kongen af Assyrien det til Skænk.

9 And he listened to him [the] king of Assyria and he came up [the] king of Assyria to Damascus and he seized it and he took into exile it Kir towards and Rezin he put to death.

Og Kongen af Assyrien adlød ham, og Kongen af Assyrien drog op til Damaskus og indtog den og førte dem bort til Kir, og han dræbte Rezin.

10 And he went the king Ahaz to meet Tiglath-pileser [the] king of Assyria Damascus and he saw the altar which [was] in Damascus and he sent the king Ahaz to Uriah the priest [the] likeness of the altar and pattern its for all work its.

Da drog Kong Akas hen til Damaskus at møde Thiglath-Pileser, Kongen af Assyrien, og han saa det Alter, som var i Damaskus; da sendte Kong Akas en Afbildning af Alteret og en Lignelse af det, efter alt dets Arbejde, til Præsten Uria.

11 And he built Uriah the priest the altar according to all that he had sent the king Ahaz from Damascus so he did Uriah the priest until came the king Ahaz from Damascus.

Og Præsten Uria byggede et Alter; efter alt som Kong Akas sendte fra Damaskus, saa gjorde Præsten Uria, indtil Kong Akas kom fra Damaskus.

12 And he came the king from Damascus and he saw the king the altar and he drew near the king to the altar and he offered up on it.

Og der Kongen kom fra Damaskus, da saa Kongen Alteret, og Kongen nærmede sig Alteret og ofrede paa det.

13 And he made smoke burnt offering his and grain offering his and he poured out drink offering his and he sprinkled [the] blood of the peace offerings which [belonged] to him on the altar.

Og han gjorde Røgofre af sit Brændoffer og sit Madoffer og udøste sit Drikoffer, og han stænkede Takofrenes Blod, som han havde, paa Alteret.

14 And the altar of bronze which [was] before Yahweh and he brought near from with [the] face of the house from between the altar and from between [the] house of Yahweh and he put it on [the] side of the altar north-ward.

Men Kobberalteret, som stod for Herrens Ansigt, flyttede han længere bort fra Huset, at det ikke skulde staa imellem Alteret og imellem Herrens Hus; og han satte det op ved Siden af Alteret imod Norden.

15 (And he commanded *Q(K)*) the king Ahaz Uriah the priest saying on the altar great make smoke [the] burnt offering of the morning and [the] grain offering of the evening and [the] burnt offering of the king and grain offering his and [the] burnt offering of all [the] people of the land and grain offering their and drink offerings their and all [the] blood of [the] burnt offering and all [the] blood of [the] sacrifice on it you will sprinkle and [the] altar of bronze it will belong to me to consult.

Og Kong Akas bød Præsten Uria og sagde: Gør Røgoffer paa det store Alter af Brændofferet om Morgenen og Madofferet om Aftenen og af Kongens Brændoffer og hans Madoffer og af alt Folkets Brændoffer i Landet og deres Madoffer og deres Drikofre, og alt Brændofferets Blod og alt Slagtofferets Blod skal du stænke derpaa; men Kobberalteret skal være mig til at adspørge ved.

16 And he did Uriah the priest according to all that he commanded the king Ahaz.

Og Præsten Uria gjorde efter alt det, som Kong Akas befalede.

17 And he cut off the king Ahaz the rims of the stands and he removed from on them (*Q(K)*) the laver and the sea he took down from on the ox[en] the bronze which [were] under it and he put it on a pavement of stone.

Og Kong Akas afbrød Fyldingerne af Stolene og borttog Kedelen af dem, og Havet tog han ned af de Kobberøksne, som vare derunder, og han satte det paa et Stengulv,

18 And ([the] covered structure of *Q(K)*) the sabbath which people had built in the house and [the] entrance of the king outer he removed [the] house of Yahweh because of [the] king of Assyria.

og den bedækkede Sabbatsgang, som de havde hygget ved Huset, og den ydre Opgang for Kongen vendte han indad imod Herrens Hus, for Kongen af Assyriens Skyld.

19 And [the] rest of [the] matters of Ahaz which he did ¿ not [are] they written on [the] scroll of [the] matters of the days of [the] kings of Judah.

Men det øvrige af Akas's Handeler, og hvad han gjorde, ere de Ting ikke skrevne i Judas Kongers Krønikers Bog?

20 And he lay down Ahaz with ancestors his and he was buried with ancestors his in [the] city of David and he became king Hezekiah son his in place of him.

Og Akas laa med sine Fædre og blev begraven hos sine Fædre i Davids Stad, og Ezekias, hans Søn, blev Konge i hans Sted.
