2 Kings 13
1 In year twenty and three year of Joash [the] son of Ahaziah [the] king of Judah he became king Jehoahaz [the] son of Jehu over Israel in Samaria seven-teen year[s].
La vingt-troisième année de Joas, fils d’Ochozias, roi de Juda, Joachaz, fils de Jéhu, régna sur Israël, à Samarie; il régna dix-sept ans.
2 And he did the evil in [the] eyes of Yahweh and he walked after [the] sins of Jeroboam [the] son of Nebat which he caused to sin Israel not he turned aside from it.
Il fit ce qui est mal aux yeux de Yahweh; il imita les péchés de Jéroboam, fils de Nabat, qui avait fait pécher Israël, et il ne s’en détourna point.
3 And it burned [the] anger of Yahweh on Israel and he gave them in [the] hand of - Hazael [the] king of Aram and in [the] hand of Ben Hadad [the] son of Hazael all the days.
La colère de Yahweh s’enflamma contre Israël, et il les livra entre les mains de Hazaël, roi de Syrie, et entre les mains de Benhadad, fils de Hazaël, tout le temps.
4 And he entreated Jehoahaz [the] face of Yahweh and he listened to him Yahweh for he saw [the] oppression of Israel that he oppressed them [the] king of Aram.
Joachaz implora Yahweh; et Yahweh l’écouta, car il vit l’angoisse d’Israël, opprimé par le roi de Syrie.
5 And he gave Yahweh to Israel a deliverer and they came out from under [the] hand of Aram and they dwelt [the] people of Israel in tents their as yesterday three days ago.
Et Yahweh donna un libérateur à Israël; soustraits à la puissance des Syriens, les enfants d’Israël habitèrent dans leurs tentes comme auparavant.
6 Nevertheless not they turned aside from [the] sins of [the] house of Jeroboam which (he caused to sin *Q(k)*) Israel in it it walked and also the Asherah pole it remained in Samaria.
Mais ils ne se détournèrent pas des péchés de la maison de Jéroboam, qui avait fait pécher Israël; ils y marchèrent, et même l’aschérah resta debout à Samarie.
7 For not he left to Jehoahaz a people that except fifty horsemen and ten chariot[s] and ten thousand foot soldier[s] for he had destroyed them [the] king of Aram and he had made them like the dust to trample.
Car Yahweh ne laissa à Joachaz d’autre peuple armé, que cinquante cavaliers, dix chars et dix mille hommes de pied; car le roi de Syrie les avait fait périr et les avait rendus semblables à la poussière qu’on foule aux pieds.
8 And [the] rest of [the] matters of Jehoahaz and all that he did and might his ¿ not [are] they written on [the] scroll of [the] matters of the days of [the] kings of Israel.
Le reste des actes de Joachaz, tout ce qu’il a fait, et ses exploits, cela n’est-il pas écrit dans le livre des Chroniques des rois d’Israël?
9 And he lay down Jehoahaz with ancestors his and people buried him in Samaria and he became king Joash son his in place of him.
Joachaz se coucha avec ses pères, et on l’enterra à Samarie; et Joas, son fils, régna à sa place.
10 In year thirty and seven year of Joash [the] king of Judah he became king Jehoash [the] son of Jehoahaz over Israel in Samaria six-teen year[s].
La trente-septième année de Joas, roi de Juda, Joas, fils de Joachaz, régna sur Israël, à Samarie; il régna seize ans.
11 And he did the evil in [the] eyes of Yahweh not he turned aside from all [the] sins of Jeroboam [the] son of Nebat which he caused to sin Israel in it he walked.
Il fit ce qui est mal aux yeux de Yahweh; il ne se détourna d’aucun des péchés de Jéroboam, fils de Nabat, qui avait fait pécher Israël; il y marcha.
12 And [the] rest of [the] matters of Joash and all that he did and might his which he waged war with Amaziah [the] king of Judah ¿ not [are] they written on [the] scroll of [the] matters of the days of [the] kings of Israel.
Le reste des actes de Joas, tout ce qu’il a fait, ses exploits, et comment il combattait avec Amasias, cela n’est-il pas écrit dans le livre des Chroniques des rois d’Israël?
13 And he lay down Joash with ancestors his and Jeroboam he sat on throne his and he was buried Joash in Samaria with [the] kings of Israel.
Joas se coucha avec ses pères, et Jéroboam s’assit sur son trône; et Joas fut enterré à Samarie avec les rois d’Israël.
14 And Elisha he became sick sickness his which he will die by it and he went down to him Joash [the] king of Israel and he wept on face his and he said O father my - father my [the] chariotry of Israel and horsemen its.
Elisée souffrait de la maladie dont il mourut. Joas, roi d’Israël, descendit vers lui, et il pleura sur son visage, en disant: « Mon père! mon père! Char d’Israël et ses cavaliers! »
15 And he said to him Elisha take a bow and arrows and he took to himself a bow and arrows.
Elisée lui dit: « Prends un arc et des flèches. » Et il prit un arc et des flèches.
16 And he said - to [the] king of Israel make ride hand your on the bow and he made ride hand his and he put Elisha hands his on [the] hands of the king.
Et Elisée dit au roi d’Israël: « Mets ta main sur l’arc. » Quand il eut mis sa main sur l’arc, Elisée mit ses mains sur les mains du roi,
17 And he said open the window east-ward and he opened [it] and he said Elisha shoot and he shot and he said an arrow of victory of Yahweh and an arrow of victory on Aram and you will strike down Aram in Aphek until make an end.
et dit: « Ouvre la fenêtre du côté de l’orient; » et il l’ouvrit. Elisée dit: « Lance une flèche; » et il lança une flèche. Elisée dit: « C’est une flèche de délivrance de la part de Yahweh, une flèche de délivrance contre les Syriens! Tu battras les Syriens à Aphec jusqu’à leur extermination. »
18 And he said take the arrows and he took [them] and he said to [the] king of Israel strike [the] ground towards and he struck three times and he stopped.
Elisée dit encore: « Prends les flèches. » Et il les prit. Elisée dit au roi d’Israël: « Frappe contre le sol. » Il frappa le sol trois fois, et s’arrêta.
19 And he was angry towards him [the] man of God and he said to strike five or six times then you have struck down Aram until make an end and now three times you will strike down Aram.
L’homme de Dieu s’irrita contre lui et dit: « Il fallait frapper le sol cinq ou six fois; alors tu aurais battu les Syriens jusqu’à leur extermination; mais maintenant tu battras trois fois les Syriens. »
20 And he died Elisha and people buried him and [the] marauding bands of Moab they came in the land coming a year.
Elisée mourut, et on l’enterra. Les bandes de Moab pénétraient dans le pays quand revenait l’année nouvelle.
21 And it was they - [were] burying a man and there! they saw marauding band and they threw the man in [the] grave of Elisha and he went and he touched the man [the] bones of Elisha and he lived and he arose on feet his.
Comme on enterrait un homme, voici que l’on aperçut une de ces bandes, et l’on jeta l’homme dans le sépulcre d’Elisée. L’homme toucha les os d’Elisée, et il reprit vie, et se leva sur ses pieds.
22 And Hazael [the] king of Aram he had oppressed Israel all [the] days of Jehoahaz.
Hazaël, roi de Syrie, avait opprimé Israël pendant toute la vie de Joachaz.
23 And he showed favor to Yahweh with them and he had compassion on them and he turned to them on account of covenant his with Abraham Isaac and Jacob and not he was willing to destroy them and not he threw them from on face his until now.
Mais Yahweh leur fit miséricorde et eut compassion d’eux; il se tourna vers eux, à cause de son alliance avec Abraham, Isaac et Jacob; il ne voulut pas les détruire, et il ne les a pas rejetés de sa face jusqu’à présent.
24 And he died Hazael [the] king of Aram and he became king Ben Hadad son his in place of him.
Hazaël, roi de Syrie, mourut, et Benhadad, son fils, régna à sa place.
25 And he returned Jehoash [the] son of Jehoahaz and he took the cities from [the] hand of Ben Hadad [the] son of Hazael which he had taken from [the] hand of Jehoahaz father his in battle three times he struck down him Joash and he restored [the] cities of Israel.
Joas, fils de Joachaz, reprit des mains de Benhadad, fils de Hazaël, les villes que Hazaël avait enlevées dans la guerre à Joachaz, son père. Joas le battit trois fois, et il recouvra les villes d’Israël.
