2 Kings 12
1 In year seven of Jehu he became king Jehoash and forty year[s] he reigned in Jerusalem and [the] name of mother his [was] Zibiah from Beer Sheba.
EN el séptimo año de Jehú comenzó á reinar Joas, y reinó cuarenta años en Jerusalem. El nombre de su madre fué Sibia, de Beer-seba.
2 And he did Jehoash the right in [the] eyes of Yahweh all days his which he instructed him Jehoiada the priest.
Y Joas hizo lo recto en ojos de Jehová todo el tiempo que le dirigió el sacerdote Joiada.
3 Only the high places not they were removed still the people [were] sacrificing and [were] making smoke at the high places.
Con todo eso los altos no se quitaron; que aun sacrificaba y quemaba el pueblo perfumes en los altos.
4 And he said Jehoash to the priests all [the] money of the holy gifts which it will be brought [the] house of Yahweh money passing along everyone [the] money of persons of valuation his all [the] money which it will come up on [the] heart of a person to bring [the] house of Yahweh.
Y Joas dijo á los sacerdotes: Todo el dinero de las santificaciones que se suele traer á la casa de Jehová, el dinero de los que pasan [en cuenta], el dinero por las personas, cada cual según su tasa, y todo el dinero que cada uno de su propia voluntad mete en la casa de Jehová,
5 Let them take themselves the priests each from with acquaintance his and they they will repair [the] damage of the house to every where it will be found there damage.
Recíbanlo los sacerdotes, cada uno de sus familiares, y reparen los portillos del templo donde quiera que se hallare abertura.
6 And it was in year twenty and three year of the king Jehoash not they had repaired the priests [the] damage of the house.
Pero el año veintitrés del rey Joas, no habían aún reparado los sacerdotes las aberturas del templo.
7 And he summoned the king Jehoash Jehoiada the priest and the priests and he said to them why? [are] not you repairing [the] damage of the house and now may not you take money from with acquaintances your for for [the] damage of the house you will give it.
Llamando entonces el rey Joas al pontífice Joiada y á los sacerdotes, díjoles: ¿Por qué no reparáis las aberturas del templo? Ahora pues, no toméis más el dinero de vuestros familiares, sino dadlo para [reparar] las roturas del templo.
8 And they agreed the priests to not to take money from with the people and to not to repair [the] damage of the house.
Y los sacerdotes consintieron en no tomar [más] dinero del pueblo, ni tener cargo de reparar las aberturas del templo.
9 And he took Jehoiada the priest a chest one and he bored a hole in lid its and he put it beside the altar (from [the] right [side] *Q(K)*) when comes anyone [the] house of Yahweh and they put there the priests [who] kept of the threshold all the money which was brought [the] house of Yahweh.
Mas el pontífice Joiada tomó un arca, é hízole en la tapa un agujero, y púsola junto al altar, á la mano derecha como se entra en el templo de Jehová; y los sacerdotes que guardaban la puerta, ponían allí todo el dinero que se metía en la casa de Jehová.
10 And it was when saw they that much the money [was] in the chest and he came up [the] scribe of the king and the priest great and they tied up and they counted the money which was found [the] house of Yahweh.
Y cuando veían que había mucho dinero en el arca, venía el notario del rey y el gran sacerdote, y contaban el dinero que hallaban en el templo de Jehová, y guardábanlo.
11 And they put the money weighed out on ([the] hands of *Q(K)*) [the] doers of the work (who were appointed *Q(K)*) [the] house of Yahweh and they brought out it to [the] craftsmen of wood and to the builders who were working on [the] house of Yahweh.
Y daban el dinero suficiente en mano de los que hacían la obra, y de los que tenían el cargo de la casa de Jehová; y ellos lo expendían en [pagar] los carpinteros y maestros que reparaban la casa de Jehová,
12 And to the masons and to [the] cutters of stone and to acquire wood and stones of hewing to repair [the] damage of [the] house of Yahweh and for all that it went out on the house to repair [it].
Y los albañiles y canteros; y en comprar la madera y piedra de cantería para reparar las aberturas de la casa de Jehová; y en todo lo que se gastaba en la casa para repararla.
13 Only not it was made [the] house of Yahweh basins of silver snuffers bowls trumpets any article of gold and article of silver from the money which was brought [the] house of Yahweh.
Mas de aquel dinero que se traía á la casa de Jehová, no se hacían tazas de plata, ni salterios, ni jofainas, ni trompetas; ni ningún otro vaso de oro ni de plata se hacía para el templo de Jehová:
14 For to [the] doers of the work they gave it and they repaired with it [the] house of Yahweh.
Porque lo daban á los que hacían la obra, y con él reparaban la casa de Jehová.
15 And not they settled accounts with the men whom they put the money on hand their to give to [the] doers of the work for in faithfulness they [were] working.
Y no se tomaba cuenta á los hombres en cuyas manos el dinero era entregado, para que ellos lo diesen á los que hacían la obra: porque [lo] hacían ellos fielmente.
16 Money of guilt offering and money of sin offerings not it was brought [the] house of Yahweh to the priests they belonged.
El dinero por el delito, y el dinero por los pecados, no se metía en la casa de Jehová; porque era de los sacerdotes.
17 Then he went up Hazael [the] king of Aram and he fought on Gath and he captured it and he set Hazael face his to go up on Jerusalem.
Entonces subió Hazael rey de Siria, y peleó contra Gath, y tomóla: y puso Hazael su rostro para subir contra Jerusalem;
18 And he took Jehoash [the] king of Judah all the holy things which they had consecrated Jehoshaphat and Jehoram and Ahaziah ancestors his [the] kings of Judah and own holy things his and all the gold which was found in [the] treasuries of [the] house of Yahweh and [the] house of the king and he sent [them] to Hazael [the] king of Aram and he went up from on Jerusalem.
Por lo que tomó Joas rey de Judá todas las ofrendas que había dedicado Josaphat, y Joram y Ochôzías sus padres, reyes de Judá, y las que él había dedicado, y todo el oro que se halló en los tesoros de la casa de Jehová, y en la casa del rey, y enviólo á Hazael rey de Siria: y él se partió de Jerusalem.
19 And [the] rest of [the] matters of Joash and all that he did ¿ not [are] they written on [the] scroll of [the] matters of the days of [the] kings of Judah.
Lo demás de los hechos de Joas, y todas las cosas que hizo, ¿no está escrito en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Judá?
20 And they arose servants his and they conspired a conspiracy and they struck down Joash Beth-Millo which goes down Silla.
Y levantáronse sus siervos, y conspiraron en conjuración, y mataron á Joas en la casa de Millo, descendiendo él á Silla;
21 And Jozabad [the] son of Shimeath and Jehozabad [the] son of Shomer - servants his they struck down him and he died and people buried him with ancestors his in [the] city of David and he became king Amaziah son his in place of him.
Pues Josachâr hijo de Simaath, y Jozabad hijo de Somer, sus siervos, hiriéronle, y murió. Y sepultáronlo con sus padres en la ciudad de David, y reinó en su lugar Amasías su hijo.
