2 Kings 12
1 In year seven of Jehu he became king Jehoash and forty year[s] he reigned in Jerusalem and [the] name of mother his [was] Zibiah from Beer Sheba.
Jéhunak hetedik esztendejében tették Joást királylyá, és negyven esztendeig uralkodott Jeruzsálemben; az ő anyjának pedig Sibja vala neve, a ki Beersebából való volt.
2 And he did Jehoash the right in [the] eyes of Yahweh all days his which he instructed him Jehoiada the priest.
És cselekedék Joás kedves dolgot az Úr szemei előtt mindaddig, a míg Jójada pap oktatá őt;
3 Only the high places not they were removed still the people [were] sacrificing and [were] making smoke at the high places.
Azonban a magaslatok oltárai nem rontattak le, a nép még mindig ott áldozott és tömjénezett a magaslatok oltárain.
4 And he said Jehoash to the priests all [the] money of the holy gifts which it will be brought [the] house of Yahweh money passing along everyone [the] money of persons of valuation his all [the] money which it will come up on [the] heart of a person to bring [the] house of Yahweh.
És megparancsolá Joás a papoknak, hogy minden pénzt, a mely Istennek szenteltetik és az Úr házába bevitetik, mind a megszámlálás pénzét és a személyek váltságának pénzét, mind pedig, a melyet kiki szabad akaratja szerint az Úr házához bevisz.
5 Let them take themselves the priests each from with acquaintance his and they they will repair [the] damage of the house to every where it will be found there damage.
Vegyék magokhoz a papok, mindenik a maga ismerősétől, és építsék meg az Úr házának romlásait mindenütt, a hol romlást látnak rajta.
6 And it was in year twenty and three year of the king Jehoash not they had repaired the priests [the] damage of the house.
De mikor Joás király huszonharmadik esztendejéig sem építették meg a papok az Úr házának romlásait,
7 And he summoned the king Jehoash Jehoiada the priest and the priests and he said to them why? [are] not you repairing [the] damage of the house and now may not you take money from with acquaintances your for for [the] damage of the house you will give it.
Előhivatta Joás király Jójada papot a többi papokkal együtt, és monda nékik: Miért nem építitek meg az Úr házának romlásait? Ezután ne vegyétek a pénzt magatokhoz a ti ismerőseitektől, hanem az Úr háza romlásainak építésére adjátok azt.
8 And they agreed the priests to not to take money from with the people and to not to repair [the] damage of the house.
És a papok beleegyeztek, hogy többé semmi pénzt nem vesznek el a néptől, és nem javítják ki a ház romlásait.
9 And he took Jehoiada the priest a chest one and he bored a hole in lid its and he put it beside the altar (from [the] right [side] *Q(K)*) when comes anyone [the] house of Yahweh and they put there the priests [who] kept of the threshold all the money which was brought [the] house of Yahweh.
És Jójada pap vett egy ládát, és annak a fedelén csinált egy nyílást, és helyhezteté azt az oltár mellé jobbfelől, a mely felől az Úr házába bemennek, hogy abba töltsenek a papok, a templom küszöbinek őrizői minden pénzt, a melyet az Úr házába hoznak.
10 And it was when saw they that much the money [was] in the chest and he came up [the] scribe of the king and the priest great and they tied up and they counted the money which was found [the] house of Yahweh.
És mikor látták, hogy sok pénz van a ládában, felment a király íródeákja a főpappal együtt, csomóba kötötték és megszámlálták a pénzt, a mely az Úr házában találtatott.
11 And they put the money weighed out on ([the] hands of *Q(K)*) [the] doers of the work (who were appointed *Q(K)*) [the] house of Yahweh and they brought out it to [the] craftsmen of wood and to the builders who were working on [the] house of Yahweh.
És a megmért pénzt a munka vezetőinek kezeibe adták, a kik az Úr házához voltak rendelve, és ezek kiadták azt az ácsoknak és építőknek, a kik a házon dolgoztak,
12 And to the masons and to [the] cutters of stone and to acquire wood and stones of hewing to repair [the] damage of [the] house of Yahweh and for all that it went out on the house to repair [it].
És a kőmíveseknek és a kőfaragóknak, fa és faragott kő vásárlására, az Úr háza romlásainak kijavítására, és mindarra, a mi a ház javítására szükséges volt.
13 Only not it was made [the] house of Yahweh basins of silver snuffers bowls trumpets any article of gold and article of silver from the money which was brought [the] house of Yahweh.
De abból a pénzből, a melyet bevittek az Úr házába, nem csináltattak az Úr házához sem ezüst poharakat, sem késeket, sem medenczéket, sem trombitákat, sem valami egyéb arany vagy ezüst edényt.
14 For to [the] doers of the work they gave it and they repaired with it [the] house of Yahweh.
Hanem a munkásoknak adták azt, és csak az Úr házát javították ki abból.
15 And not they settled accounts with the men whom they put the money on hand their to give to [the] doers of the work for in faithfulness they [were] working.
Számot sem vettek azoktól az emberektől, a kiknek keze által kiadták a pénzt a munkásoknak, mert híven jártak el.
16 Money of guilt offering and money of sin offerings not it was brought [the] house of Yahweh to the priests they belonged.
De a vétekért és a bűnért való pénzt nem vitték az Úr házába; az a papoké lett.
17 Then he went up Hazael [the] king of Aram and he fought on Gath and he captured it and he set Hazael face his to go up on Jerusalem.
Ebben az időben jött fel Hazáel, Siria királya, és megszállotta Gáthot, és be is vette azt; azután megfordult Hazáel, hogy Jeruzsálem ellen menjen.
18 And he took Jehoash [the] king of Judah all the holy things which they had consecrated Jehoshaphat and Jehoram and Ahaziah ancestors his [the] kings of Judah and own holy things his and all the gold which was found in [the] treasuries of [the] house of Yahweh and [the] house of the king and he sent [them] to Hazael [the] king of Aram and he went up from on Jerusalem.
De Joás, Júda királya, vevé mind a megszentelt ajándékokat, a melyeket az ő atyái, Josafát, Jórám és Akházia, Júda királyai az Úrnak szenteltek volt, és a melyeket ő maga szentelt néki, és minden aranyat, a mely találtaték mind az Úr házának, mind pedig a király házának kincsei között, és elküldé Hazáelnek, Siria királyának, és az elment Jeruzsálem alól.
19 And [the] rest of [the] matters of Joash and all that he did ¿ not [are] they written on [the] scroll of [the] matters of the days of [the] kings of Judah.
Joásnak egyéb dolgai és minden cselekedetei pedig, vajjon nincsenek-é megírva a Júda királyainak krónika-könyvében?
20 And they arose servants his and they conspired a conspiracy and they struck down Joash Beth-Millo which goes down Silla.
Fellázadván pedig az ő szolgái, pártot ütének ellene, és megölték Joást Beth-Millóban, a merre Sillába megy az ember.
21 And Jozabad [the] son of Shimeath and Jehozabad [the] son of Shomer - servants his they struck down him and he died and people buried him with ancestors his in [the] city of David and he became king Amaziah son his in place of him.
Jozakhár, a Simeáth fia, és Jozadáb, a Sómer fia, az ő szolgái ölték meg őt, és meghalt és eltemették őt az ő atyáival, a Dávid városában. És Amásia, az ő fia lett a király ő helyette.
