2 Kings 10
1 And [belonged] to Ahab seventy sons in Samaria and he wrote Jehu letters and he sent [them] Samaria to [the] officials of Jezreel the elders and to the guardians Ahab saying.
Había setenta hijos de la casa de Acab viviendo en Samaria. Entonces Jehú escribió cartas y las envió a los funcionarios de Samaria, a los ancianos y a los guardianes de los hijos de Acab, diciendo:
2 And now (when comes *LB(ah)*) the letter this to you and [are] with you [the] sons of master your and [are] with you chariotry and horses and a city of fortification and weaponry.
“Puesto que los hijos de tu amo están contigo, y tienes a tu disposición carros, caballos, una ciudad fortificada y armas, cuando recibas esta carta,
3 And you will see the good and the right of [the] sons of master your and you will set [him] on [the] throne of father his and fight on [the] house of master your.
elige al mejor y más apropiado hijo de tu amo, colócalo en el trono de su padre y lucha por la casa de tu amo”.
4 And they were afraid very very and they said there! [the] two the kings not they stood before him and how? will we stand we.
Pero ellos se asustaron mucho y se dijeron: “Si dos reyes no pudieron derrotarlo, ¿cómo podríamos nosotros?”
5 And he sent [the one] who [was] over the house and [the one] who [was] over the city and the elders and the guardians to Jehu - saying [are] servants your we and all that you will say to us we will do not we will make king anyone the good in view your do.
Así que los jefes del palacio y de la ciudad, los ancianos y los guardianes enviaron un mensaje a Jehú: “Somos tus siervos y haremos todo lo que nos digas. No vamos a hacer rey a nadie. Haz lo que te parezca mejor”.
6 And he wrote to them a letter - second saying if [belong] to me you and to voice my - you [are] listening take [the] heads of [the] men of [the] sons of master your and come to me about this time tomorrow Jezreel towards and [the] sons of the king seventy man [were] with [the] great [people] of the city [who] were bringing up them.
Entonces Jehú les escribió una segunda carta en la que les decía: “Si están de mi parte, y si van a obedecer lo que yo diga, tráiganme mañana a esta hora a Jezrel las cabezas de los hijos de su señor”. Los setenta hijos del rey estaban siendo criados por los principales hombres de la ciudad.
7 And it was when came the letter to them and they took [the] sons of the king and they slaughtered seventy man and they put heads their in baskets and they sent [them] to him Jezreel towards.
Cuando llegó la carta, agarraron a los hijos del rey y mataron a los setenta, pusieron sus cabezas en canastas y las enviaron a Jehú en Jezrel.
8 And he came the messenger and he told to him saying they have brought [the] heads of [the] sons of the king and he said make them two heaps [the] entrance of the gate until the morning.
Un mensajero llegó y le dijo a Jehú: “Han traído las cabezas de los hijos del rey”. Jehú dio la orden: “Ponlas en dos montones a la entrada de la puerta de la ciudad hasta la mañana”.
9 And it was in the morning and he went out and he stood and he said to all the people [are] righteous you here! I I conspired on master my and I killed him and who? did he strike down all these.
Por la mañana Jehú salió a hablar con el pueblo que se había reunido. “Ustedes no han hecho nada malo”, les dijo. “Yo fui el que conspiró contra mi maestro y lo mató. Pero ¿quién mató a todos estos?
10 Know then that not it will fall any of [the] word of Yahweh [the] ground towards which he has spoken Yahweh on [the] house of Ahab and Yahweh he has done [that] which he spoke by [the] hand of servant his Elijah.
Tengan la seguridad de que nada de lo que el Señor ha profetizado contra la casa de Acab fallará, porque el Señor ha hecho lo que prometió por medio de su siervo Elías”.
11 And he struck down Jehu all those [who] remained of [the] house of Ahab in Jezreel and all great [men] his and acquaintances his and priests his until not he had left to him a survivor.
Así que Jehú mató a todos los que quedaban en Jezrel de la casa de Acab, así como a todos sus altos funcionarios, amigos cercanos y sacerdotes. Esto dejó a Acab sin un solo sobreviviente.
12 And he arose and he went and he went Samaria he [was at] Beth Eked of [the] Shepherds on [the] way.
Entonces Jehú partió y se dirigió a Samaria. En Bed-Équed de los Pastores,
13 And Jehu he found [the] brothers of Ahaziah [the] king of Judah and he said who? [are] you and they said [are] [the] brothers of Ahaziah we and we have come down for [the] peace of [the] sons of the king and [the] sons of the queen-mother.
se encontró con algunos parientes de Ocozías, rey de Judá. “¿Quiénes son ustedes?”, les preguntó. “Somos parientes de Ocozías”, le respondieron. “Hemos venido a visitar a los hijos del rey y de la reina madre”.
14 And he said seize them alive and they seized them alive and they slaughtered them to [the] pit of Beth Eked forty and two man and not he spared anyone from them.
“¡Atrápenlos vivos!” ordenó Jehú. Así que los tomaron vivos y los mataron en el pozo de Bed-Equed. Eran cuarenta y dos hombres. No permitió que ninguno de ellos viviera.
15 And he went from there and he found Jonadab [the] son of Rechab to meet him and he blessed him and he said to him ¿ [is] there with heart your right just as heart my [is] with heart your and he said Jonadab there is and there is give! hand your and he gave hand his and he took up him to himself into the chariot.
Salió de allí y se encontró con Jonadab, hijo de Recab, que venía a su encuentro. Jehú lo saludó y le preguntó: “¿Estás tan comprometido conmigo como yo contigo?”. “Sí, lo estoy”, respondió Jonadab. “En ese caso, dame tu mano”, dijo Jehú. Así que él extendió su mano, y Jehú lo ayudó a subir al carro.
16 And he said come! with me and look on zeal my for Yahweh and they made ride him in chariot his.
“Acompáñame y verás lo dedicado que estoy al Señor”, dijo Jehú, y lo hizo subir a su carro.
17 And he came Samaria and he struck down all those [who] remained of Ahab in Samaria until he had destroyed him according to [the] word of Yahweh which he had spoken to Elijah.
Cuando Jehú llegó a Samaria, fue matando a todos los que quedaban de la familia de Acab hasta que los mató a todos, tal como el Señor había dicho por medio de Elías.
18 And he gathered Jehu all the people and he said to them Ahab he served Baal a little Jehu he will serve him much.
Jehú hizo reunir a todo el pueblo y les dijo: “Acab adoraba un poco a Baal, pero Jehú lo adorará mucho.
19 And therefore all [the] prophets of Baal all [those who] serve him and all priests his summon to me anyone may not he be missing for a sacrifice great [belongs] to me to Baal any [one] who he will be missing not he will live and Jehu he acted with guile so as to destroy [those who] serve Baal.
Así que convoca a todos los profetas de Baal, a todos sus servidores y a todos sus sacerdotes. Asegúrate de que no falte nadie, porque estoy organizando un gran sacrificio para Baal. El que no asista será ejecutado”. Pero el plan de Jehú era un truco para destruir a los seguidores de Baal.
20 And he said Jehu consecrate an assembly to Baal and they proclaimed [it].
Jehú dio la orden: “¡Convoca una asamblea religiosa para honrar a Baal!” Así lo hicieron.
21 And he sent Jehu in all Israel and they came all [those who] serve Baal and not he was left anyone who not he came and they went [the] house of Baal and it was filled [the] house of Baal mouth to mouth.
Jehú envió el anuncio por todo Israel. Todos los seguidores de Baal acudieron; no faltó ni un solo hombre. Entraron en el templo de Baal, llenándolo de punta a punta.
22 And he said to [the one] who [was] over the wardrobe bring out clothing for all [those who] serve Baal and he brought out for them the clothing.
Jehú dijo al guardián del guardarropa: “Distribuye la ropa para todos los siervos de Baal”. Así que sacó ropa para ellos.
23 And he went Jehu and Jonadab [the] son of Rechab [the] house of Baal and he said to [those who] serve Baal search and see lest there here with you [be] any of [the] servants of Yahweh that except [those who] serve Baal to alone them.
Luego Jehú y Jonadab, hijo de Recab, entraron en el templo de Baal. Jehú dijo a los seguidores de Baal: “Miren a su alrededor y asegúrense de que nadie que siga al Señor esté aquí con ustedes, sólo los adoradores de Baal”.
24 And they went to offer sacrifices and burnt offerings and Jehu he had stationed himself on the outside eighty man and he had said the man who he will escape from the men whom I [am] bringing on hands your life his in place of life his.
Estaban dentro presentando sacrificios y holocaustos. Ahora bien, Jehú había colocado a ochenta hombres afuera y les advirtió: “Les estoy entregando a estos hombres. Si dejan escapar a alguno de ellos, ustedes pagarán sus vidas con las vidas de ustedes”.
25 And it was when finished he - to offer the burnt offering and he said Jehu to the runners and to the officers go strike down them anyone may not he come out and they struck down them to [the] mouth of [the] sword and they threw [them] out the runners and the officers and they went to [the] city of [the] house of Baal.
En cuanto Jehú terminó de presentar el holocausto, ordenó a sus guardias y oficiales: “¡Entren y mátenlos a todos! No dejen que se escape ni uno solo”. Así que los mataron con sus espadas. Los guardias y los oficiales arrojaron sus cuerpos fuera, y luego entraron en el santuario interior del templo de Baal.
26 And they brought out [the] sacred pillars of [the] house of Baal and they burned it.
Sacaron los pilares de los ídolos y los quemaron.
27 And they pulled down [the] sacred pillar of Baal and they pulled down [the] house of Baal and they made it (outhouses *Q(K)*) until this day.
Destrozaron el pilar sagrado de Baal, derribaron el templo de Baal y lo convirtieron en un retrete, lo que sigue siendo hasta hoy.
28 And he destroyed Jehu Baal from Israel.
Así fue como Jehú destruyó el culto a Baal en Israel,
29 Only [the] sins of Jeroboam [the] son of Nebat which he caused to sin Israel not he turned aside Jehu from after them [the] calves of gold which [were] Beth-el and which [were] in Dan.
pero no puso fin a los pecados que Jeroboam, hijo de Nabat, había hecho cometer a Israel: la adoración de los becerros de oro en Betel y Dan.
30 And he said Yahweh to Jehu because that you have done well by doing the right in view my according to all that [was] in heart my you have done to [the] house of Ahab descendants of [the] fourth [generation] they will sit of you on [the] throne of Israel.
El Señor le dijo a Jehú: “Puesto que has hecho bien y has llevado a cabo lo que es justo a mis ojos, y has cumplido todo lo que planeé para la casa de Acab, tus descendientes se sentarán en el trono de Israel hasta la cuarta generación”.
31 And Jehu not he took care to walk in [the] law of Yahweh [the] God of Israel with all heart his not he turned aside from on [the] sins of Jeroboam which he caused to sin Israel.
Pero Jehú no se comprometió del todo a seguir la ley del Señor, el Dios de Israel. No puso fin a los pecados que Jeroboam había hecho cometer a Israel.
32 In the days those he began Yahweh to cut off in Israel and he struck down them Hazael in all [the] territory of Israel.
En ese momento el Señor comenzó a reducir la extensión de Israel. Jazael derrotó a los israelitas en todo su territorio
33 From the Jordan [the] rising of the sun all [the] land of Gilead the Gadite[s] and the Reubenite[s] and the Manassite[s] from Aroer which [is] at [the] wadi of Arnon and Gilead and Bashan.
al este del Jordán, en toda la tierra de Galaad (la región ocupada por Gad, Rubén y Manasés), y desde Aroer por el valle de Arnón hasta Galaad y Basán.
34 And [the] rest of [the] matters of Jehu and all that he did and all might his ¿ not [are] they written on [the] scroll of [the] matters of the days of [the] kings of Israel.
El resto de lo que sucedió en el reinado de Jehú, todo lo que hizo y lo que logró, está registrado en el Libro de las Crónicas de los Reyes de Israel.
35 And he lay down Jehu with ancestors his and people buried him in Samaria and he became king Jehoahaz son his in place of him.
Jehú murió y fue enterrado en Samaria. Su hijo Joacaz lo sucedió como rey.
36 And the days which he reigned Jehu over Israel [were] twenty and eight year[s] in Samaria.
Jehú reinó sobre Israel en Samaria durante veintiocho años.
