2 Chronicles 1
1 And he strengthened himself Solomon [the] son of David over kingdom his and Yahweh God his [was] with him and he made great him upwards.
Et Salomon, fils de David, s’affermit dans son royaume; et l’Éternel, son Dieu, fut avec lui et l’agrandit extrêmement.
2 And he spoke Solomon to all Israel to [the] commanders of the thousands and the hundreds and to the judges and to every leader of all Israel [the] heads of the fathers.
Et Salomon parla à tout Israël, aux chefs de milliers et de centaines, et aux juges, et à tous les princes de tout Israël, chefs des pères;
3 And they went Solomon and all the assembly with him to the high place which [was] at Gibeon for there it was [the] tent of meeting of God which he had made Moses [the] servant of Yahweh in the wilderness.
et Salomon, et toute la congrégation avec lui, allèrent au haut lieu qui était à Gabaon; car là était la tente d’assignation de Dieu, que Moïse, serviteur de l’Éternel, avait faite dans le désert
4 But [the] ark of God he had brought up David from Kiriath Jearim in where he had prepared for it David for he had pitched for it a tent in Jerusalem.
(mais David avait fait monter l’arche de Dieu de Kiriath-Jéarim au [lieu] que David lui avait préparé; car il lui avait tendu une tente à Jérusalem);
5 And [the] altar of bronze which he had made Bezalel [the] son of Uri [the] son of Hur he had put before [the] tabernacle of Yahweh and he sought it Solomon and the assembly.
et l’autel d’airain qu’avait fait Betsaleël, fils d’Uri, fils de Hur, était là, devant le tabernacle de l’Éternel; et Salomon et la congrégation la recherchèrent.
6 And he went up Solomon there to [the] altar of bronze before Yahweh which [was] to [the] tent of meeting and he offered up on it burnt offerings a thousand.
Et Salomon offrit là, devant l’Éternel, sur l’autel d’airain qui était devant la tente d’assignation; il offrit 1 000 holocaustes sur cet [autel].
7 In the night that he appeared God to Solomon and he said to him ask what? will I give to you.
Cette même nuit Dieu apparut à Salomon, et lui dit: Demande ce que tu veux que je te donne.
8 And he said Solomon to God you you have done with David father my covenant loyalty great and you have made king me in place of him.
Et Salomon dit à Dieu: Tu as usé d’une grande bonté envers David, mon père, et tu m’as fait roi à sa place:
9 Now O Yahweh God let it be established word your with David father my for you you have made king me over a people numerous like [the] dust of the earth.
maintenant, Éternel Dieu, que ta parole à David, mon père, soit ferme; car tu m’as établi roi sur un peuple nombreux comme la poussière de la terre:
10 Now wisdom and knowledge give to me so let me go out before the people this so I may come for who? will he judge people your this great.
maintenant, donne-moi de la sagesse et de la connaissance, et je sortirai et j’entrerai devant ce peuple; car qui jugera ton peuple qui est si grand?
11 And he said God - to Solomon because that it was this with heart your and not you have asked for wealth riches and honor and [the] life of [those who] hate you and also days many not you have asked for and you have asked for for yourself wisdom and knowledge that you will judge people my which I have made king you over it.
Et Dieu dit à Salomon: Parce que c’est cela qui était dans ton cœur, et que tu n’as pas demandé des richesses, des biens, et de la gloire, ni la vie de ceux qui te haïssent, et que tu n’as pas non plus demandé de longs jours, mais que tu as demandé pour toi de la sagesse et de la connaissance afin de pouvoir juger mon peuple sur lequel je t’ai établi roi,
12 The wisdom and the knowledge [is] given to you and wealth and riches and honor I will give to you which - not it belonged thus to the kings who [were] before you and after you not it will be thus.
la sagesse et la connaissance te sont données; et je te donnerai des richesses, et des biens, et de la gloire, comme n’en ont pas eu les rois qui ont été avant toi, et comme après toi aucun n’en aura.
13 And he went Solomon to the high place which [was] at Gibeon Jerusalem from to before [the] tent of meeting and he reigned over Israel.
Et Salomon revint à Jérusalem, du haut lieu qui était à Gabaon, de devant la tente d’assignation, et il régna sur Israël.
14 And he gathered Solomon chariot[s] and warhorses and it belonged to him one thousand and four hundred chariot[s] and two [plus] ten thousand warhorses and he placed them in [the] cities of chariotry and with the king in Jerusalem.
Et Salomon rassembla des chars et des cavaliers; et il eut 1 400 chars et 12 000 cavaliers; et il les plaça dans les villes à chars, et auprès du roi à Jérusalem.
15 And he made the king silver and gold in Jerusalem like stones and cedars he made like the sycamores which [are] in the Shephelah for abundance.
Et le roi fit que l’argent et l’or, dans Jérusalem, étaient comme les pierres, et il fit que les cèdres étaient, en quantité, comme les sycomores qui sont dans le pays plat.
16 And [the] export of the horses which [belonged] to Solomon [was] from Egypt and from Que [the] traders of the king from Que they took [them] for a price.
Et quant aux chevaux de Salomon, il les tirait d’Égypte: une caravane de marchands du roi prenait un convoi [de chevaux] pour un certain prix;
17 And they brought up and they brought out from Egypt a chariot for six hundred silver and a horse for fifty and one hundred and thus to all [the] kings of the Hittites and [the] kings of Aram by hand their they brought [them] out.
et on faisait monter et sortir d’Égypte un char pour 600 [sicles] d’argent, et un cheval pour 150; et on en faisait venir ainsi, par leur main, pour tous les rois des Héthiens et pour les rois de Syrie.
