2 Chronicles 6
1 Then he said Solomon Yahweh he has said to dwell in thick darkness.
Ningĩ Solomoni akiuga atĩrĩ, “Jehova oigĩte atĩ arĩikaraga thĩinĩ wa itu rĩrĩa itumanu.
2 And I I have built a house of loftiness for you and a place to dwell in you forever.
No rĩrĩ, nĩngwakĩire hekarũ kĩĩrorerwa, handũ haku ha gũtũũra nginya tene.”
3 And he turned the king face his and he blessed all [the] assembly of Israel and all [the] assembly of Israel [was] standing.
O hĩndĩ ĩyo, kĩũngano gĩothe gĩa Isiraeli kĩrũgamĩte hau, mũthamaki agĩkĩhũgũkĩra na agĩkĩrathima.
4 And he said [be] blessed Yahweh [the] God of Israel who he spoke with mouth his with David father my and by hands his he has fulfilled saying.
Ningĩ akiuga atĩrĩ: “Jehova arogoocwo, o we Ngai wa Isiraeli, ũrĩa ũhingĩtie na moko make ũrĩa erĩire baba Daudi na kanua gake mwene. Nĩgũkorwo oigĩte atĩrĩ,
5 Since the day when I brought out people my from [the] land of Egypt not I have chosen a city from all [the] tribes of Israel to build a house to be name my there and not I have chosen a person to be ruler over people my Israel.
‘Kuuma mũthenya ũrĩa ndaarutire andũ akwa Misiri, ndirĩ ndathuura itũũra inene mũhĩrĩga-inĩ o na ũmwe wa Isiraeli atĩ nĩguo njakĩrwo hekarũ ĩtanĩtio na Rĩĩtwa rĩakwa kuo, o na kana ngaathuura mũndũ o na ũrĩkũ atuĩke wa gũtongoria andũ akwa a Isiraeli.
6 And I have chosen Jerusalem to be name my there and I have chosen David to be over people my Israel.
No rĩrĩ, nĩthuurĩte Jerusalemu nĩguo Rĩĩtwa rĩakwa rĩikarage kuo, na nĩ thuurĩte Daudi athamakĩre andũ akwa a Isiraeli.’
7 And it was with [the] heart of David father my to build a house for [the] name of Yahweh [the] God of Israel.
“Baba Daudi nĩatuĩte na ngoro yake gwaka hekarũ ĩĩtanĩtio na Rĩĩtwa rĩa Jehova, o we Ngai wa Isiraeli.
8 And he said Yahweh to David father my because that it was with heart your to build a house for name my you did well for it was with heart your.
No Jehova eerire baba Daudi atĩrĩ, ‘Tondũ nĩwaatuĩte na ngoro yaku kũnjakĩra hekarũ ĩtanĩtio na Rĩĩtwa rĩakwa-rĩ, nĩ wekire wega nĩ gwĩciiria ũguo ngoro-inĩ yaku.
9 Only you not you will build the house for son your who comes out from loins your he he will build the house for name my.
No rĩrĩ, wee tiwe ũgwaka hekarũ ĩyo, no nĩ mũrũguo ũrĩa uumĩte mũthiimo waku na thakame-inĩ yaku, ũcio nĩwe ũkaanjakĩra hekarũ ĩtanĩtio na Rĩĩtwa rĩakwa.’
10 And he has established Yahweh word his which he spoke and I have arisen in place of David father my and I have sat - on [the] throne of Israel just as he spoke Yahweh and I have built the house for [the] name of Yahweh [the] God of Israel.
“Jehova nĩatũũrĩtie kĩrĩkanĩro kĩrĩa eeranĩire. Nĩnjookete ithenya rĩa baba Daudi, na rĩu nĩnjikarĩire gĩtĩ gĩa ũthamaki gĩa Isiraeli, o ta ũrĩa Jehova eeranĩire, na nĩnjakĩte hekarũ ĩrĩa ĩtanĩtio na Rĩĩtwa rĩa Jehova, Ngai wa Isiraeli.
11 And I have put there the ark where [is] there [the] covenant of Yahweh which he made with [the] people of Israel.
Hau nĩho njigĩte ithandũkũ rĩa kĩrĩkanĩro rĩrĩa rĩigĩtwo kĩrĩkanĩro kĩrĩa Jehova aarĩkanĩire na andũ a Isiraeli.”
12 And he stood before [the] altar of Yahweh before all [the] assembly of Israel and he spread out hands his.
Ningĩ Solomoni akĩrũgama mbere ya kĩgongona kĩa Jehova o hau mbere ya kĩũngano gĩothe gĩa Isiraeli, agĩtambũrũkia moko make.
13 For he had made Solomon a platform of bronze and he had put it in [the] middle of the precinct [was] five cubits length its and [was] five cubits breadth its and [was] cubits three height its and he stood on it and he knelt down on knees his before all [the] assembly of Israel and he spread out hands his the heavens towards.
Na rĩrĩ, Solomoni nĩathondekete rũtara rwa gĩcango rwa mĩkono ĩtano kũraiha, na mĩkono ĩtano kwarama, na mĩkono ĩtatũ kũraiha na igũrũ, na akĩrũiga gatagatĩ ka nja ĩyo. Akĩrũgama rũtara-inĩ igũrũ na agĩturia maru mbere ya kĩũngano kĩu gĩothe gĩa Isiraeli na akĩambararia moko make na igũrũ.
14 And he said O Yahweh [the] God of Israel there not like you [is] a God in the heavens and on the earth [who] keeps the covenant and covenant loyalty to servants your who walk before you with all heart their.
Nake akiuga atĩrĩ: “Wee Jehova, Ngai wa Isiraeli, gũtirĩ Ngai ũngĩ ũhaana tawe, kũu igũrũ kana gũkũ thĩ, o Wee ũhingagia kĩrĩkanĩro gĩaku kĩa wendo harĩ ndungata ciaku iria irũmagĩrĩra njĩra yaku na ngoro ciao ciothe.
15 Who you have kept to servant your David father my [that] which you spoke to him and you spoke with mouth your and by hand your you have fulfilled as the day this.
Wee nĩũhingĩirie baba Daudi, ndungata yaku, kĩrĩkanĩro gĩaku; ũndũ ũrĩa weranĩire na kanua gaku nĩũhingĩtie na guoko gwaku, o ta ũrĩa kũhaana ũmũthĩ.
16 And now O Yahweh - [the] God of Israel keep to servant your David father my [that] which you spoke to him saying not it will be cut off to you a man from to before me [who] sits on [the] throne of Israel only if they will guard descendants your way their to walk in law my just as you have walked before me.
“Na rĩrĩ, Jehova, Ngai wa Isiraeli, hingĩria ndungata yaku baba, Daudi, ciĩranĩro iria wamwĩrĩire rĩrĩa woigire atĩrĩ, ‘Ndũkaaga mũndũ wa gũikarĩra gĩtĩ kĩa ũnene gĩa Isiraeli arĩ mbere yakwa, angĩkorwo ariũ aku nĩmarĩthiiaga na mĩthiĩre yagĩrĩire mbere yakwa kũringana na watho wakwa o ta ũrĩa wee ũtũire ũthiiaga.’
17 And now O Yahweh [the] God of Israel let it be established word your which you spoke to servant your to David.
Na rĩrĩ, Wee Jehova, Ngai wa Isiraeli, reke kiugo gĩaku kĩrĩa werĩire ndungata yaku Daudi kĩhinge.
18 For ¿ really will he dwell God with humankind on earth here! heaven and [the] heavens of the heavens not they will contain you indeed? for the house this which I have built.
“No kũhoteke Ngai agĩtũũranie na andũ gũkũ thĩ? Igũrũ, o na kũũrĩa igũrũ mũno-rĩ, wee ndũngĩiganĩra kuo. Hekarũ ĩno njakĩte-rĩ, ndĩkĩrĩ nini makĩria?
19 And you will turn to [the] prayer of servant your and to supplication his O Yahweh God my to listen to the cry of entreaty and to the prayer which servant your [is] praying before you.
No o na kũrĩ ũguo-rĩ, thikĩrĩria ihooya rĩa ndungata yaku, ĩgĩthaithana ĩiguĩrwo tha, Wee Jehova Ngai wakwa. Igua gũkaya na ihooya rĩrĩa ndungata yaku ĩrakũhooya ĩrĩ mbere yaku.
20 To be eyes your open to the house this by day and night to the place where you have said to put name your there to listen to the prayer which he will pray servant your to the place this.
Maitho maku maroikara marorete hekarũ ĩno mũthenya na ũtukũ, o handũ haha wee woigire atĩ nĩũgatũma Rĩĩtwa rĩaku rĩkoragwo ho. Ũroigua ihooya rĩrĩa ndungata yaku ĩrĩhooyaga ĩrorete handũ haha.
21 And you will listen to [the] supplications of servant your and people your Israel which they will pray to the place this and you you will hear from [the] place of dwelling you from the heavens and you will hear and you will forgive.
Igua gũthaithana kwa ndungata yaku na kwa andũ aku a Isiraeli rĩrĩa mekũhooya marorete handũ haha. Ũigue ũrĩ kũu igũrũ, o kũu gĩikaro gĩaku; na watũigua-rĩ, ũgatũrekera.
22 If he will sin anyone to neighbor his and he will impose on him an oath to put under an oath him and he will come he will swear an oath before altar your in the house this.
“Rĩrĩa mũndũ angĩhĩtĩria mũndũ wa itũũra rĩake na gũtuĩke no nginya ehĩte, nake oke ehĩtĩre hau mbere ya kĩgongona gĩaku kĩa hekarũ-inĩ ĩno-rĩ,
23 And you - you will hear from the heavens and you will act and you will judge servants your to repay to a guilty [person] to requite conduct his on own head his and to vindicate a righteous [person] to give to him according to righteousness his.
hĩndĩ ĩyo ũkaigua ũrĩ o kũu igũrũ, na ũtue itua. Tuithania ndungata ciaku ciira, ũtũme ũrĩa ũhĩtĩirie ũrĩa ũngĩ acookererwo nĩ mahĩtia make marĩa ekĩte. Nake ũrĩa ũtehĩtie ũmũtue ndehĩtie na ũndũ ũcio wonanie atĩ ti mwĩhia.
24 And if it will be defeated people your Israel before an enemy for they will sin to you and they will return and they will praise name your and they will pray and they will seek favor before you in the house this.
“Rĩrĩa andũ aku a Isiraeli maahootwo nĩ thũ tondũ nĩmakũhĩtĩirie nao magũcookerere na moimbũre rĩĩtwa rĩaku, mahooe magĩgũthaithaga marĩ hekarũ-inĩ ĩno-rĩ,
25 And you you will hear from the heavens and you will forgive [the] sin of people your Israel and you will bring back them to the land which you gave to them and to ancestors their.
hĩndĩ ĩyo ũkaamaigua ũrĩ o kũu igũrũ na ũrekere andũ aku a Isiraeli mehia mao na ũmacookie bũrũri ũrĩa wamaheire hamwe na maithe mao.
26 When are shut up the heavens and not it will be rain for they will sin to you and they will pray to the place this and they will praise name your from sin their they will turn back! for you will afflict them.
“Rĩrĩa igũrũ rĩkaahingwo, na mbura yaage kuura tondũ wa ũrĩa andũ aku makũhĩtĩirie, mangĩkaahooya marorete handũ haha, na moimbũre rĩĩtwa rĩaku na magarũrũke matigane na mehia mao tondũ nĩũmanyamarĩtie-rĩ,
27 And you - you will hear the heavens and you will forgive [the] sin of servants your and people your Israel that you will direct them to the way good which they will walk in it and you will give rain on land your which you gave to people your for an inheritance.
hĩndĩ ĩyo ũkaamaigua ũrĩ o kũu igũrũ na ũrekere ndungata ciaku, andũ aku a Isiraeli, mehia mao. Marute mũtũũrĩre ũrĩa mwagĩrĩru, na ũmoirĩrie mbura bũrũri-inĩ ũcio waheire andũ aku ũtuĩke igai rĩao.
28 Famine if it will be in the land pestilence for it will be blight and mildew locust[s] and locust[s] for it will be that he will lay siege to it enemies its in [the] land of gates its any plague and any sickness.
“Kũngĩkaagĩa ngʼaragu kana mũthiro bũrũri-inĩ, kana mĩgũnda ĩhĩe nĩ mbaa kana mbuu, kana gũũke ngigĩ kana ngũnga, kana thũ imarigiicĩrie itũũra-inĩ rĩmwe rĩao, na mwanangĩko o na ũrĩkũ kana mũrimũ ũngĩgooka-rĩ,
29 Every prayer every supplication which it will belong to any person and to all people your Israel who they will know everyone own plague his and own pain his and he will spread out hands his to the house this.
na rĩrĩa mũndũ o na ũrĩkũ wa andũ aku a Isiraeli, angĩkaahooya kana athaithane, nĩ ũndũ wa mũndũ kũmenya mĩnyamaro ĩrĩa arĩ nayo, o na ruo, na atambũrũkie moko make amerekeirie hekarũ-inĩ ĩno,
30 And you you will hear from the heavens [the] place of dwelling you and you will forgive and you will give to the person according to all ways his whom you will know heart his for you to alone you you know [the] heart of [the] children of humankind.
hĩndĩ ĩyo ũkaamaigua ũrĩ o kũu igũrũ gĩikaro-inĩ gĩaku, ũmarekere na ũtuĩre o mũndũ itua kũringana na ũrĩa wothe ekĩte, tondũ we nĩũĩ ngoro yake nĩgũkorwo nowe wiki ũũĩ ngoro cia andũ,
31 So that they may fear you to walk in ways your all the days which they [are] alive on [the] surface of the land which you gave to ancestors our.
nĩgeetha matũũre magwĩtigĩrĩte, na mathiiage na mĩthiĩre yaku rĩrĩa rĩothe marĩtũũraga bũrũri-inĩ ũyũ waheire maithe maitũ.
32 And also to the foreigner who not [is] one of people your Israel he and he will come - from a land distant for [the] sake of name your great and hand your mighty and arm your outstretched and they will come and they will pray to the house this.
“Ha ũhoro wa mũndũ wa kũngĩ ũrĩa ũtarĩ wa andũ aku a Isiraeli no nĩ oimĩte bũrũri wa kũraya nĩ ũndũ wa ngumo ya rĩĩtwa rĩaku inene na ũhoro wa ciĩko cia guoko gwaku kũrĩ hinya gũtambũrũkĩtio, rĩrĩa agooka ahooe erekeire hekarũ ĩno,
33 And you you will hear from the heavens from [the] place of dwelling you and you will do according to all that he will call out to you the foreigner so that they may know all [the] peoples of the earth name your and to fear you like people your Israel and to know that name your it has been called on the house this which I have built.
hĩndĩ ĩyo ũkaamũigua ũrĩ o kũu igũrũ gĩikaro-inĩ gĩaku, na mũndũ ũcio wa kũngĩ ũkaamũhingĩria o ũrĩa agakũhooya, nĩgeetha andũ othe a thĩ mamenye rĩĩtwa rĩaku na magwĩtigĩre, o ta ũrĩa andũ aku a Isiraeli magwĩtigĩrĩte, na mamenye atĩ nyũmba ĩno njakĩte, ĩtanĩtio na Rĩĩtwa rĩaku.
34 If it will go forth people your for battle on enemies its by the way which you will send them and they will pray to you [the] direction of the city this which you have chosen it and the house which I have built for name your.
“Rĩrĩa andũ aku maathiĩ mbaara-inĩ kũrũa na thũ ciao o kũrĩa ũngĩmatũma, nao makũhooe merekeire itũũra rĩĩrĩ inene ũthuurĩte na hekarũ ĩno njakĩte ĩtanĩtio na Rĩĩtwa rĩaku,
35 And you will hear from the heavens prayer their and supplication their and you will do justice their.
hĩndĩ ĩyo ũkaigua mahooya mao na gũthaithana kwao ũrĩ kũu igũrũ, na ũmatirĩrĩre ũhoro-inĩ ũcio wao.
36 If they will sin to you for there not [is] anyone who not he sins and you will be angry with them and will you deliver up them before an enemy and they will take captive them captors their to a land distant or near.
“Rĩrĩa makwĩhĩria, nĩgũkorwo gũtirĩ mũndũ ũtehagia, nawe ũmarakarĩre ũmaneane kũrĩ thũ, nacio imatahe ĩmatware bũrũri wa kũraya kana wa gũkuhĩ;
37 And they will bring back to heart their in the land where they have been taken captive there and they will repent - and they will seek favor to you in [the] land of captivity their saying we have sinned we have done wrong and we have acted wickedly.
nao mangĩĩcookera ngoro-inĩ ciao marĩ o kũu bũrũri-inĩ ũrĩa maatahĩirwo, na merire, na magũthaithe marĩ o kũu maatahĩirwo, na moige atĩrĩ, ‘Nĩtwĩhĩtie, na nĩtwĩkĩte mahĩtia na tũgeka maũndũ ma waganu’;
38 And they will return to you with all heart their and with all being their in [the] land of captivity their where they took captive them and they will pray [the] direction of land their which you gave to ancestors their and the city which you have chosen and to the house which I have built for name your.
no mangĩgũcookerera na ngoro ciao ciothe na muoyo wao marĩ o bũrũri-inĩ ũrĩa maatahĩirwo, na mahooe merekeire bũrũri ũrĩa waheire maithe mao, na merekeire itũũra rĩrĩa inene rĩrĩa ũthuurĩte na merekeire hekarũ ĩno njakĩte ĩtanĩtio na Rĩĩtwa rĩaku;
39 And you will hear from the heavens from [the] place of dwelling you prayer their and supplications their and you will do justice their and you will forgive people your who they have sinned to you.
hĩndĩ ĩyo ũrĩ o kũu igũrũ gĩikaro-inĩ gĩaku, ũkaigua ihooya rĩao na mathaithana mao na ũmatirĩrĩre ũhoro-inĩ ũcio wao. Na ũkaarekera andũ aku, o acio makwĩhĩirie.
40 Now O God my let them be please eyes your open and ears your attentive to [the] prayer of the place this.
“Na rĩrĩ, Ngai wakwa, ũrohingũra maitho maku, o namo matũ maku mathikĩrĩrie mahooya marĩa marĩhooyagĩrwo handũ haha.
41 And now arise! O Yahweh God to resting place your you and [the] ark of strength your priests your O Yahweh God may they be clothed salvation and faithful [people] your may they rejoice in the good.
“Rĩu gĩũkĩre, Wee Jehova Ngai, na ũũke handũ haku ha kũhurũka,
42 O Yahweh God may not you turn away [the] faces of anointed [one] your remember! [the] covenant loyalti of David servant your.
Wee Jehova Ngai, ndũgatiganĩrie ũrĩa waku mũitĩrĩrie maguta.
