2 Chronicles 30
1 And he sent Hezekiah to all Israel and Judah and also letters he wrote to Ephraim and Manasseh to come to [the] house of Yahweh in Jerusalem to observe a passover to Yahweh [the] God of Israel.
Ezéchias envoya aussi vers tout Israël et Juda, et il écrivit des lettres à Ephraïm et à Manassé, afin de les inviter à venir à la maison du Seigneur à Jérusalem, pour faire la Pâque du Seigneur, Dieu d’Israël.
2 And he had taken counsel the king and officials his and all the assembly in Jerusalem to observe the passover in the month second.
Un conseil du roi, des princes et de toute l’assemblée du peuple ayant donc été tenu à Jérusalem, ils décidèrent qu’ils feraient la Pâque au second mois;
3 For not they had been able to observe it at the time that for the priests not they had consecrated themselves to [what] [was] sufficiency and the people not they had gathered to Jerusalem.
Car ils n’avaient pu la faire en son temps, parce que les prêtres qui pouvaient exercer n’avaient pas été sanctifiés, et que le peuple ne s’était pas encore assemblé à Jérusalem.
4 And it was pleasing the thing in [the] eyes of the king and in [the] eyes of all the assembly.
La chose plut au roi et à toute la multitude.
5 And they appointed a word to cause to pass a proclamation in all Israel from Beer Sheba and to Dan to come to observe a passover to Yahweh [the] God of Israel in Jerusalem for not to multitude they had done according to [what] is written.
Et ils décidèrent qu’ils enverraient des messagers dans tout Israël, de Bersabée jusqu’à Dan, pour qu’on vînt faire la Pâque du Seigneur Dieu d’Israël dans Jérusalem; car beaucoup ne l’avaient pas faite, comme il est prescrit.
6 And they went the runners with letters from [the] hand of the king and officials his in all Israel and Judah and according to [the] command of the king saying O people of Israel return to Yahweh [the] God of Abraham Isaac and Israel so he may return to the escaped remnant which remains to you from [the] hand of [the] kings of Assyria.
Les messagers partirent donc avec les lettres par le commandement du roi et des princes, et ils passèrent dans tout Israël et Juda, publiant suivant ce que le roi avait commandé: Enfants d’Israël, revenez au Seigneur Dieu d’Abraham, d’Isaac et d’Israël, et il reviendra aux restes qui ont échappé à la main du roi des Assyriens.
7 And may not you be like fathers your and like brothers your who they acted unfaithfully against Yahweh [the] God of ancestors their and he made them into a horror just as you [are] seeing.
Ne soyez pas comme vos pères et vos frères, qui se sont retirés du Seigneur Dieu de leurs pères, qui les a livrés à la mort, comme vous-mêmes le voyez.
8 Now may not you harden neck your like fathers your give a hand to Yahweh and come to sanctuary his which he has consecrated for ever and serve Yahweh God your so may it turn back from you [the] burning of anger his.
N’endurcissez pas vos cœurs comme vos pères; donnez les mains au Seigneur, et venez à son sanctuaire qu’il a sanctifié pour jamais: servez le Seigneur Dieu de vos pères, et la colère de sa fureur se détournera de vous.
9 For when return you to Yahweh relatives your and children your to compassion before captors their and to return to the land this for [is] gracious and compassionate Yahweh God your and not he will turn aside face from you if you will turn back to him.
Car, si vous revenez au Seigneur, vos frères et vos fils trouveront miséricorde devant les maîtres qui les ont emmenés captifs, et ils reviendront en cette terre; car il est clément et miséricordieux, le Seigneur votre Dieu, et il ne détournera point sa face de vous, si vous revenez à lui.
10 And they were the runners passing from city - to [the] city in [the] land of Ephraim and Manasseh and to Zebulun and people were laughing on them and mocking them.
Ainsi les courriers allaient rapidement de ville en ville dans toute la terre d’Ephraïm et de Manassé, jusqu’à Zabulon, ces peuples les raillant et les insultant.
11 Nevertheless men from Asher and Manasseh and from Zebulun they humbled themselves and they came to Jerusalem.
Cependant quelques hommes d’Azer, de Manassé et de Zabulon, acquiesçant au conseil donné, vinrent à Jérusalem.
12 Also on Judah it was [the] hand of God to give to them a heart one to do [the] command of the king and the officials by [the] word of Yahweh.
Quant à Juda, la main du Seigneur y fut de manière à leur donner un seul cœur, pour qu’ils fissent, selon le commandement du roi et des princes, la parole du Seigneur.
13 And they gathered Jerusalem a people numerous to observe [the] festival of the unleavened bread in the month second an assembly for multitude exceedingly.
Beaucoup de peuples donc s’assemblèrent à Jérusalem, pour faire la solennité des azymes, au second mois.
14 And they arose and they removed the altars which [were] in Jerusalem and all the incense altars they removed and they threw [them] to [the] wadi of Kidron.
Et, se levant, ils détruisirent les autels qui étaient à Jérusalem, et mettant en pièces toutes les choses dans lesquelles on brûlait de l’encens aux idoles, ils les jetèrent dans le torrent de Cédron.
15 And they slaughtered the passover on [day] four-teen of the month second and the priests and the Levites they were ashamed and they consecrated themselves and they brought burnt offerings [the] house of Yahweh.
Ils immolèrent donc la Pâque le quatorzième jour du second mois. De plus les prêtres et les Lévites, enfin sanctifiés, offrirent des holocaustes dans la maison du Seigneur.
16 And they stood at place their according to custom their according to [the] law of Moses [the] man of God the priests [were] sprinkling the blood from [the] hand of the Levites.
Et ils se tinrent en leur rang, selon les prescriptions et la loi de Moïse, l’homme de Dieu; mais les prêtres recevaient le sang qui devait être répandu, des mains des Lévites,
17 For many among the assembly who not they had consecrated themselves and the Levites [were] over [the] slaughter of the passovers for every not clean to consecrate [them] to Yahweh.
Parce qu’une foule nombreuse n’était pas sanctifiée; et c’est pour cela que les Lévites immolèrent la Pâque pour ceux qui ne s’étaient pas empressés de se sanctifier au Seigneur.
18 For [the] greater part of the people many from Ephraim and Manasseh Issachar and Zebulun not they had purified themselves for they ate the passover with not according to [what] is written for he had prayed Hezekiah on them saying Yahweh good may he make atonement for.
Comme aussi une grande partie du peuple d’Ephraïm, de Manassé, d’Issachar de Zabulon, qui n’avait pas été sanctifiée, mangea la Pâque, non suivant ce qui est écrit; et Ezéchias pria pour eux, disant: Le Seigneur, qui est bon, se montrera propice
19 Every [one who] heart his he has directed to seek God - Yahweh [the] God of ancestors his and not according to [the] purification of the holy place.
À tous ceux qui en tout leur cœur cherchent le Seigneur Dieu de leurs pères, et il ne leur imputera point de n’être pas sanctifiés.
20 And he listened Yahweh to Hezekiah and he healed the people.
Le Seigneur l’exauça, et s’apaisa pour le peuple.
21 And they observed [the] people of Israel who were found (in Jerusalem *L(abh)*) [the] festival of the unleavened bread seven days with joy great and [were] praising Yahweh a day - in a day the Levites and the priests with instruments of strength to Yahweh.
Et les enfants d’Israël qui se trouvèrent à Jérusalem firent la solennité des azymes durant sept jours, dans une grande joie, louant le Seigneur chaque jour aussi bien que les Lévites et les prêtres, sur les instruments qui répondaient à leur fonction.
22 And he spoke Hezekiah to [the] heart of all the Levites who were understanding understanding good to Yahweh and they ate the appointed feast [the] seven the days sacrificing sacrifices of peace offerings and giving thanks to Yahweh [the] God of ancestors their.
Et Ezéchias parla au cœur de tous les Lévites qui avaient une intelligence parfaite de ce qui regarde le Seigneur; et ils mangèrent, durant les sept jours de la solennité, immolant des victimes de sacrifices pacifiques, et louant le Seigneur Dieu de leurs pères.
23 And they took counsel all the assembly to observe seven days another and they observed seven days joy.
Et il plut à toute la multitude de célébrer encore sept autres, jours, ce qu’ils firent aussi avec une grande joie;
24 For Hezekiah [the] king of Judah he contributed for the assembly one thousand young bulls and seven thousand sheep. And the officials they contributed for the assembly young bulls one thousand and sheep ten thousand and they consecrated themselves priests to multitude.
Car Ezéchias, roi de Juda, avait donné à la multitude mille taureaux et sept mille brebis: et les princes avaient donné au peuple mille taureaux et dix mille brebis. Ainsi une très grande multitude de prêtres se purifia.
25 And they rejoiced - all [the] assembly of Judah and the priests and the Levites and all the assembly which were coming from Israel and the sojourners who were coming from [the] land of Israel and who were dwelling in Judah.
Et tout le peuple de Juda fut comblé de joie, tant les prêtres et les Lévites, que toute la foule qui était venue d’Israël, les prosélytes mêmes de la terre d’Israël, et ceux qui habitaient en Juda.
26 And it was joy great in Jerusalem for since [the] days of Solomon [the] son of David [the] king of Israel not like this in Jerusalem.
Et il se fit une grande solennité à Jérusalem, telle qu’il n’y en avait pas eu dans cette ville depuis les jours de Salomon, fils de David, roi d’Israël.
27 And they arose the priests the Levites and they blessed the people and it was listened to voice their and it came prayer their to [the] dwelling of holiness his to the heavens.
Or les prêtres et les Lévites se levèrent pour bénir le peuple; et leur voix fut exaucée, et leur prière parvint jusqu’à la demeure sainte du ciel.
