2 Chronicles 3
1 And he began Solomon to build [the] house of Yahweh in Jerusalem on [the] mountain of Moriah where he had appeared to David father his which he had prepared in [the] place of David on [the] threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.
Raja Daud sudah menentukan bahwa Rumah TUHAN harus dibangun di Yerusalem di Gunung Moria di tempat pengirikan gandum milik Arauna orang Yebus. Pembangunan Rumah TUHAN itu dimulai oleh Raja Salomo
2 And he began to build in the month second on the second [day] in year four of reign his.
pada bulan kedua tahun keempat pemerintahannya.
3 And these [are] [the] founding of Solomon to build [the] house of God the length cubits by the measurement former [was] cubits sixty and [the] breadth [was] cubits twenty.
Panjang Rumah itu 27 meter dan lebarnya 9 meter.
4 And the porch which [was] on [the] face of the length on [the] face of [the] breadth of the house [was] cubits twenty and the height [was] one hundred and twenty and he overlaid it from within gold pure.
Panjang ruang depan sama dengan lebar Rumah itu, yaitu 9 meter. Tingginya 54 meter. Bagian dalam ruangan itu dilapisi dengan emas murni.
5 And - the house great he overlaid wood of cypresses and he overlaid it gold fine and he put up on it palm trees and chains.
Ruangan utama dipapani dengan kayu cemara yang terbaik dan dilapisi dengan emas tua. Pada lapisan emas itu ada ukiran gambar pohon palem dan gambar rantai.
6 And he overlaid the house stone[s] precious for beauty and the gold [was] [the] gold of Parvaim.
Raja menghias Rumah itu dengan batu permata yang bagus-bagus dan dengan emas yang didatangkan dari negeri Parwaim.
7 And he overlaid the house the beams the thresholds and walls its and doors its gold and he engraved cherubim on the walls.
Ia memakai emas itu juga untuk melapisi tembok-tembok Rumah TUHAN itu, balok-baloknya, ambang-ambang pintu dan pintu-pintunya. Tembok-temboknya diukir dengan gambar kerub.
8 And he made [the] house of [the] holy place of the holy places length its on [the] face of [the] breadth of the house [was] cubits twenty and breadth its [was] cubits twenty and he overlaid it gold fine to talents six hundred.
Ruang dalam yang dinamakan Ruang Mahasuci panjangnya 9 meter dan lebarnya 9 meter, sama dengan lebar Rumah TUHAN itu. Dua puluh ton emas dipakai untuk melapisi tembok-tembok Ruang Mahasuci itu
9 And [the] weight of nails to shekels fifty gold and the upper rooms he overlaid gold.
dan 570 gram emas untuk membuat paku. Tembok ruangan-ruangan tingkat atas pun dilapisi dengan emas.
10 And he made in [the] house of [the] holy place of the holy places cherubim two a work of castings and they overlaid them gold.
Raja juga menyuruh para pekerjanya itu membuat dua patung kerub dari logam. Patung-patung itu dilapisinya dengan emas dan dipasang berdampingan di Ruang Mahasuci menghadap pintu. Setiap kerub itu mempunyai dua sayap, masing-masing panjangnya 2,2 meter. Sayap-sayap itu mengembang sedemikian rupa sehingga ujung yang satu saling bersentuhan di tengah ruangan dan ujung yang lain mencapai tembok di kiri kanan. Jadi, sayap-sayap itu terbentang sepanjang 9 meter yaitu selebar ruangan itu.
11 And [the] wings of the cherubim length their [was] cubits twenty [the] wing of the one [cherub] to cubits five [was] touching [the] wall of the house and the wing other cubits five [was] touching [the] wing of the cherub other.
12 And [the] wing of the cherub one cubits five [was] touching [the] wall of the house and the wing other cubits five [was] clinging to [the] wing of the cherub other.
13 [the] wings of The cherubim these [were] spreading out cubits twenty and they [were] standing on feet their and faces their [were] to the inside.
14 And he made the curtain violet and purple and crimson and fine linen and he put up on it cherubim.
Untuk Ruang Mahasuci itu dibuat pula gorden dari kain lenan dan kain lain yang berwarna biru, ungu dan merah. Gorden itu dihias dengan gambar-gambar kerub.
15 And he made before the house pillars two cubits thirty and five length and the capital which [was] on top its [was] cubits five.
Raja membuat dua tiang yang masing-masing tingginya 15,5 meter, lalu menempatkannya di depan Rumah TUHAN. Setiap tiang itu mempunyai kepala tiang setinggi 2,2 meter.
16 And he made chains in the innermost room and he put [them] on [the] top of the pillars and he made pomegranates one hundred and he put [them] on the chains.
Bagian atas tiang-tiang itu diperindah dengan hiasan dari perunggu, berupa anyaman rantai dengan 100 buah delima.
17 And he set up the pillars on [the] face the temple one from [the] south and one from the north and he called [the] name of (the south [one] *Q(K)*) Jakin and [the] name of the north [one] Boaz.
Tiang-tiang itu didirikan di samping kiri dan kanan pintu masuk Rumah TUHAN; yang di sebelah selatan dinamakan Yakhin, dan yang di sebelah utara dinamakan Boas.
