2 Chronicles 27

1 [was] a son of Twenty and five year[s] Jotham when became king he and six-teen year[s] he reigned in Jerusalem and [the] name of mother his [was] Jerusha [the] daughter of Zadok.

Giô-tham được hai mươi lăm tuổi khi lên ngôi, và trị vì mười sáu năm tại Giê-ru-sa-lem. Mẹ vua là Giê-ru-sa, con Xa-đốc.

2 And he did the right in [the] eyes of Yahweh according to all that he had done Uzziah father his only not he went into [the] temple of Yahweh and yet the people [were] behaving corruptly.

Giô-tham làm điều thiện trước mặt Chúa Hằng Hữu. Ông làm mọi điều giống như Ô-xia, cha vua đã làm. Nhưng Giô-tham không dám vào Đền Thờ Chúa Hằng Hữu như cha mình. Tuy nhiên, toàn dân vẫn tiếp tục suy đồi.

3 He he built [the] gate of [the] house of Yahweh upper and on [the] wall of Ophel he built to abundance.

Vua xây lại cổng trên của Đền Thờ Chúa Hằng Hữu và nhiều công sự trên tường thành Ô-phên.

4 And cities he built in [the] hill country of Judah and in the wooded areas he built fortresses and towers.

Vua cũng xây nhiều thành trong miền đồi núi Giu-đa, với những đồn lũy và tháp trên rừng.

5 And he he waged war with [the] king of [the] people of Ammon and he prevailed over them and they gave to him [the] people of Ammon in the year that one hundred talent[s] of silver and ten thousand cors wheat and barley ten thousand this they brought to him [the] people of (Ammon. *LBH(a)*) And in the year second and third.

Giô-tham tuyên chiến với vua nước Am-môn và chiến thắng. Trong suốt ba năm, người Am-môn phải cống thuế cho vua 100 ta-lâng bạc, 1.820.000 lít lúa miến, 1.820.000 lít lúa mạch.

6 And he strengthened himself Jotham for he had directed ways his before Yahweh God his.

Vậy, Vua Giô-tham rất cường thịnh, vì vua cẩn thận sống trong sự vâng lời Chúa Hằng Hữu là Đức Chúa Trời của mình.

7 And [the] rest of [the] matters of Jotham and all wars his and ways his there they [are] written on [the] scroll of [the] kings of Israel and Judah.

Các công việc khác của triều đại Giô-tham, các cuộc chiến tranh và chính sách cai trị đều được ghi vào Sách Các Vua Ít-ra-ên và Giu-đa.

8 A son of twenty and five year[s] he was when became king he and six-teen year[s] he reigned in Jerusalem.

Giô-tham lên ngôi lúc hai mươi lăm tuổi và cai trị mười sáu năm tại Giê-ru-sa-lem.

9 And he lay down Jotham with ancestors his and people buried him in [the] city of David and he became king Ahaz son his in place of him.

Ông qua đời và được chôn trong Thành Đa-vít. A-cha, con Giô-tham lên ngôi kế vị.
