2 Chronicles 24
1 [was] a son of Seven years Joash when became king he and forty year[s] he reigned in Jerusalem and [the] name of mother his [was] Zibiah from Beer Sheba.
Joás tenía siete años cuando comenzó a reinar, y reinó cuarenta años en Jerusalén. Su madre se llamaba Sibías, de Beerseba.
2 And he did Joash the right in [the] eyes of Yahweh all [the] days of Jehoiada the priest.
Joás hizo lo que era justo a los ojos de Yahvé durante todos los días del sacerdote Joiada.
3 And he took for him Jehoiada wives two and he fathered sons and daughters.
Joiada tomó para él dos esposas, y fue padre de hijos e hijas.
4 And it was after this it was with [the] heart of Joash to renew [the] house of Yahweh.
Después de esto, Joás se propuso restaurar la casa de Yahvé.
5 And he assembled the priests and the Levites and he said to them go out to [the] cities of Judah and collect from all Israel money to repair - [the] house of God your as often as a year in a year and you you will do quickly the matter and not they acted quickly the Levites.
Reunió a los sacerdotes y a los levitas y les dijo: “Salgan a las ciudades de Judá y reúnan dinero para reparar la casa de su Dios de todo Israel de año en año. Procurad agilizar este asunto”. Sin embargo, los levitas no lo hicieron de inmediato.
6 And he summoned the king Jehoiada the chief and he said to him why? not have you required on the Levites to bring from Judah and from Jerusalem [the] tax of Moses [the] servant of Yahweh and of the assembly of Israel to [the] tent of the testimony.
El rey llamó al jefe Joiada y le dijo: “¿Por qué no has exigido a los levitas que traigan el impuesto de Moisés, siervo de Yahvé, y de la asamblea de Israel, de Judá y de Jerusalén, para la Tienda del Testimonio?”
7 For Athaliah the wickedness sons her they had broken into [the] house of God and also all [the] holy things of [the] house of Yahweh they had used for the Baals.
Porque los hijos de Atalía, esa mujer impía, habían destrozado la Casa de Dios, y también entregaron a los baales todas las cosas consagradas de la Casa de Yahvé.
8 And he said the king and they made a chest one and they put it at [the] gate of [the] house of Yahweh [the] outside towards.
El rey ordenó, pues, que hicieran un cofre y lo pusieran fuera, a la puerta de la casa de Yahvé.
9 And they made a proclamation in Judah and in Jerusalem to bring to Yahweh [the] tax of Moses [the] servant of God on Israel in the wilderness.
Hicieron un pregón por Judá y Jerusalén, para que trajeran para Yahvé el impuesto que Moisés, siervo de Dios, impuso a Israel en el desierto.
10 And they were glad all the officials and all the people and they brought and they threw to the chest until finished.
Todos los príncipes y todo el pueblo se alegraron, y trajeron y echaron en el cofre hasta llenarlo.
11 And it was at [the] time [when] someone brought the chest to [the] overseer of the king by [the] hand of the Levites and just as saw they that [was] much the money and he came [the] scribe of the king and [the] officer of [the] priest of the head so they may pour out the chest and they took it and they returned it to place its thus they did to a day - in a day and they gathered money to abundance.
Cuando el cofre era llevado a los oficiales del rey por mano de los levitas, y al ver que había mucho dinero, el escriba del rey y el oficial del sumo sacerdote venían y vaciaban el cofre, lo tomaban y lo llevaban de nuevo a su lugar. Así hacían día tras día, y recogían dinero en abundancia.
12 And he gave it the king and Jehoiada to [the] doer of [the] work of [the] service of [the] house of Yahweh and they were hiring stone cutters and craftsmen to renew [the] house of Yahweh and also craftsmen of iron and bronze to repair [the] house of Yahweh.
El rey y Joiada lo dieron a los que hacían el trabajo del servicio de la casa de Yahvé. Contrataron albañiles y carpinteros para restaurar la casa de Yahvé, y también a los que trabajaban el hierro y el bronce para reparar la casa de Yahvé.
13 And they worked [the] doers of the work and it went up [the] repair for the work by hand their and they erected [the] house of God on measurement its and they strengthened it.
Así trabajaron los obreros, y la obra de reparación avanzó en sus manos. Arreglaron la casa de Dios tal como estaba diseñada, y la reforzaron.
14 And just as had finished they they brought before the king and Jehoiada [the] remainder of the money and someone made it articles for [the] house of Yahweh articles of service and offering up and pans and articles of gold and silver and they were offering up burnt offerings in [the] house of Yahweh continually all [the] days of Jehoiada.
Cuando terminaron, trajeron el resto del dinero ante el rey y Joiada, con el cual se hicieron los utensilios para la casa de Yahvé, los utensilios con los que se ministraba y se ofrecía, incluyendo cucharas y recipientes de oro y plata. Ofrecieron holocaustos en la casa de Yahvé continuamente durante todos los días de Joiada.
15 And he became old Jehoiada and he was satisfied days and he died a son of one hundred and thirty year[s] at death his.
Pero Joiada envejeció y se llenó de días, y murió. Tenía ciento treinta años cuando murió.
16 And people buried him in [the] city of David with the kings for he had done good in Israel and with God and house his.
Lo enterraron en la ciudad de David, entre los reyes, porque había hecho el bien en Israel, y hacia Dios y su casa.
17 And after [the] death of Jehoiada they came [the] leaders of Judah and they bowed down to the king then he listened the king to them.
Después de la muerte de Joiada, los príncipes de Judá vinieron y se inclinaron ante el rey. Entonces el rey los escuchó.
18 And they abandoned [the] house of Yahweh [the] God of ancestors their and they served the Asherah poles and the idols and it was wrath towards Judah and Jerusalem in guilt their this.
Abandonaron la casa de Yahvé, el Dios de sus padres, y sirvieron a los postes de Asera y a los ídolos, por lo que la ira cayó sobre Judá y Jerusalén por esta su culpabilidad.
19 And he sent among them prophets to bring back them to Yahweh and they warned them and not they gave ear.
Sin embargo, les envió profetas para que volvieran a Yahvé, y ellos dieron testimonio contra ellos; pero no quisieron escuchar.
20 And [the] spirit of God it clothed Zechariah [the] son of Jehoiada the priest and he stood above the people and he said to them thus - he says God why? [are] you transgressing [the] commandments of Yahweh and not you will prosper for you have forsaken Yahweh and he has forsaken you.
El Espíritu de Dios vino sobre Zacarías, hijo del sacerdote Joiada, y se puso de pie sobre el pueblo y les dijo: “Dios dice: ‘¿Por qué desobedecéis los mandamientos de Yahvé, para que no podáis prosperar? Porque habéis abandonado a Yahvé, él también os ha abandonado’”.
21 And they conspired on him and they stoned him stone[s] by [the] command of the king in [the] courtyard of [the] house of Yahweh.
Conspiraron contra él y lo apedrearon por orden del rey en el patio de la casa de Yahvé.
22 And not he remembered Joash the king the loyalty which he had done Jehoiada father his with him and he killed son his and when dying he he said may he see Yahweh and may he require.
Así el rey Joás no se acordó de la bondad que le había hecho su padre Joiada, sino que mató a su hijo. Cuando murió, dijo: “Que Yahvé lo mire y lo pague”.
23 And it was - to [the] circuit of the year it came up on him [the] army of Aram and they came to Judah and Jerusalem and they destroyed all [the] leaders of the people from [the] people and all booty their they sent to [the] king of Damascus.
Al final del año, el ejército de los sirios subió contra él. Llegaron a Judá y a Jerusalén, y destruyeron a todos los príncipes del pueblo de entre el pueblo, y enviaron todo su botín al rey de Damasco.
24 For with smallness of men they came - [the] army of Aram and Yahweh he gave in hand their an army for multitude exceedingly for they had forsaken Yahweh [the] God of ancestors their and with Joash they did judgment.
Porque el ejército de los sirios vino con una pequeña compañía de hombres, y Yahvé entregó en sus manos un ejército muy grande, porque habían abandonado a Yahvé, el Dios de sus padres. Así ejecutaron el juicio contra Joás.
25 And when went they from him for they had left him (with sicknesses *Q(k)*) great they conspired on him own servants his in [the] blood of [the] sons of Jehoiada the priest and they killed him on bed his and he died and they buried him in [the] city of David and not they buried him in [the] graves of the kings.
Cuando se alejaron de él (pues lo dejaron gravemente herido), sus propios servidores conspiraron contra él por la sangre de los hijos del sacerdote Joiada, y lo mataron en su lecho, y murió. Lo enterraron en la ciudad de David, pero no lo enterraron en las tumbas de los reyes.
26 And these [are] the [ones who] conspired on him Zabad [the] son of Shimeath the Ammonite [woman] and Jehozabad [the] son of Shimrith the Moabite [woman].
Estos son los que conspiraron contra él Zabad, hijo de Simeat, la amonita, y Jozabad, hijo de Simrit, la moabita.
27 And sons his (it will be numerous of *Q(K)*) the oracle on him and [the] founding of [the] house of God there they [are] written on [the] record of [the] scroll of the kings and he became king Amaziah son his in place of him.
En cuanto a sus hijos, la grandeza de las cargas que le fueron impuestas y la reconstrucción de la casa de Dios, he aquí que están escritas en el comentario del libro de los reyes. Su hijo Amasías reinó en su lugar.
