2 Chronicles 23
1 And in the year seventh he strengthened himself Jehoiada and he took [the] commanders of the hundreds to Azariah [the] son of Jeroham and to Ishmael [the] son of Jehohanan and to Azariah [the] son of Obed and with Maaseiah [the] son of Adaiah and with Elishaphat [the] son of Zikri with himself in covenant.
En el séptimo año, Joiada se fortaleció e hizo un acuerdo con los capitanes de cientos, Azarías, el hijo de Jeroham, Ismael, el hijo de Johanán, Azarías, el hijo de Obed, Maasias, el hijo de Adaía, y Elisafat, el hijo de Zicri.
2 And they went around in Judah and they gathered the Levites from all [the] cities of Judah and [the] heads of the fathers of Israel and they came to Jerusalem.
Fueron a través de Judá, reuniendo a los levitas y los jefes de familia en Israel de todas las ciudades de Judá, y llegaron a Jerusalén.
3 And it made all the assembly a covenant in [the] house of God with the king and he said to them here! [the] son of the king he will reign just as he spoke Yahweh on [the] sons of David.
Y todo el pueblo llegó a un acuerdo con el rey en la casa de Dios. Y él les dijo: Verdaderamente, el hijo del rey será rey, como el Señor ha dicho acerca de los hijos de David.
4 This [is] the thing which you will do the third [part] of you [who] come of the sabbath to the priests and to the Levites [will become] [the] gatekeepers of the thresholds.
Esto es lo que debes hacer: deja que un tercio de ustedes, de los sacerdotes y levitas, que entran el sábado, guarden las puertas;
5 And the third [part] [will be] at [the] house of the king and the third [part] [will be] at [the] gate of the foundation and all the people [will be] in [the] courts of [the] house of Yahweh.
Y un tercero será estacionado en el palacio del rey; y un tercero en la entrada de los cimientos; mientras todas las personas esperan en los atrios alrededor del templo del Señor.
6 And may not anyone go [the] house of Yahweh that except the priests and those [who] are serving of the Levites they they will go for [are] holiness they and all the people they will keep [the] duty of Yahweh.
Más nadie entre en él templo del Señor, sino solamente los sacerdotes y los levitas que tienen que ministrar allí; Pueden entrar, porque están consagrados, pero el resto de la gente haga la guardia del Señor.
7 And they will surround the Levites the king all around each man and weapons his in hand his and the [one who] comes into the house he will be put to death and be with the king when comes he and when goes out he.
Y los levitas deben hacer un círculo alrededor del rey, cada uno de los hombres armados; y cualquier hombre que entre en la casa debe ser condenado a muerte; debes mantenerte con el rey cuando él entre y cuando salga.
8 And they did the Levites and all Judah according to all that he had commanded Jehoiada the priest and they took each men his [who] were coming of the sabbath with [who] were going out of the sabbath for not he dismissed Jehoiada the priest the divisions.
Entonces los levitas y todo Judá hicieron lo que el sacerdote Joiada les había ordenado. Cada uno llevó consigo a sus hombres, los que debían entrar y los que debían salir el sábado; porque Joiada no había despedido a los que terminaban su turno.
9 And he gave Jehoiada the priest to [the] commanders of the hundreds the spears and the shields and the shields which [had belonged] to the king David which [were] [the] house of God.
Entonces el sacerdote Joiada dio a los capitanes de cientos de lanzas y escudos que habían sido del rey David y que se guardaban en la casa de Dios.
10 And he stationed all the people and each - weapon his [was] in hand his from [the] side of the house south to [the] side of the house north to the altar and to the house at the king all around.
Y puso a todas las personas en posición, cada hombre con sus instrumentos de guerra en la mano, desde el lado derecho de la casa hacia la izquierda, junto al altar y la casa y alrededor del rey.
11 And they brought out [the] son of the king and they put on him the crown and the testimony and they made king him and they anointed him Jehoiada and sons his and they said may he live the king.
Luego hicieron salir al hijo del rey, le pusieron la corona en la cabeza, le dieron los brazaletes y lo hicieron rey. Y Joiada y sus hijos pusieron el aceite santo sobre él y gritaron: Larga vida al rey.
12 And she heard Athaliah [the] sound of the people who were running and who were praising the king and she came to the people [the] house of Yahweh.
Ahora, Atalía, oyendo el ruido de la gente corriendo y alababa al rey, vino a la gente en la casa del Señor;
13 And she saw and there! the king [was] standing at pillar his at the entrance and the officials and the trumpets [were] with the king and all [the] people of the land [was] joyful and [was] giving a blast on trumpets and the singers with [the] instruments of song [were] leading to praise and she tore Athaliah clothes her and she said treason treason.
Al mirar, vio al rey en su lugar junto al pilar en la entrada, y los capitanes y los cuernos a su lado; y todos los habitantes de la tierra daban señales de alegría y hacían sonar los cuernos; y los creadores de melodías tocaban instrumentos de música, tomando parte principal en la canción de alabanza. Entonces Atalía, se rasgó sus ropas, y gritó: ¡traición, traición!
14 And he sent out Jehoiada the priest [the] commanders of the hundreds - [the] officers of the army and he said to them bring out her to from between the ranks and the [one who] goes after her he will be put to death with the sword for he had said the priest not you must put to death her [the] house of Yahweh.
Entonces el sacerdote Joiada dio órdenes a los capitanes de cientos de personas que tenían autoridad sobre el ejército, diciendo: Llévala fuera de las filas y deja que cualquiera que vaya tras ella sea condenado a muerte. Porque el sacerdote dijo: No la dejes morir en la casa del Señor.
15 And they put to her hands and she went to [the] entrance of [the] gate of the horses [the] house of the king and they put to death her there.
Entonces la apresaron, y ella fue a la casa del rey por la puerta de los caballos del rey; y allí la mataron.
16 And he made Jehoiada a covenant between himself and between all the people and between the king to become a people of Yahweh.
Y Joiada llegó a un acuerdo entre el Señor y todo el pueblo y el rey, para que fueran el pueblo del Señor.
17 And they went all the people [the] house of Baal and they pulled down it and altars its and images its they broke and Mattan [the] priest of Baal they killed before the altars.
Entonces toda la gente fue a la casa de Baal y la hicieron derribar, y sus altares e imágenes se rompieron; y Matan, el sacerdote de Baal, lo mataron delante de los altares.
18 And he put Jehoiada [the] oversight of [the] house of Yahweh in [the] hand of the priests the Levites whom he had assigned David over [the] house of Yahweh to offer up [the] burnt offerings of Yahweh according to [what] is written in [the] law of Moses with joy and with song on [the] hands of David.
Y Joiada puso la obra y el cuidado de la casa del Señor en manos de los sacerdotes y los levitas, que habían sido agrupados en divisiones por David para hacer ofrendas quemadas al Señor, como está registrado en La ley de Moisés, con gozo y canto como David había dicho.
19 And he stationed the gatekeepers at [the] gates of [the] house of Yahweh and not he came a [person] unclean to any matter.
Y puso guardas de las puertas en las puertas de la casa del Señor, para ver que nadie ritualmente impuro de ninguna manera pudiera entrar.
20 And he took [the] commanders of the hundreds and the nobles and the rulers over the people and - all [the] people of the land and he brought down the king from [the] house of Yahweh and they came in [the] middle of [the] gate upper [the] house of the king and they made sit the king on [the] throne of royalty.
Luego tomó a los capitanes de cientos y a los jefes y gobernantes del pueblo y a toda la gente de la tierra, y bajaron con el rey de la casa del Señor a través de la puerta superior a la casa del rey, y poner al rey en la sede del reino.
21 And they rejoiced all [the] people of the land and the city it was at peace and Athaliah they had put to death with the sword.
Así se alegraron todos los habitantes de la tierra y el pueblo quedó tranquilo, porque habían matado a espada a Atalía.
