2 Chronicles 22
1 And they made king [the] inhabitants of Jerusalem Ahaziah son his young in place of him for all the former [sons] it had killed the marauding band which came with the Arabs to the camp and he became king Ahaziah [the] son of Jehoram [the] king of Judah.
Dân chúng Giê-ru-sa-lem tôn A-cha-xia, con út của Giô-ram, lên ngôi kế vị cha người, vì các con trai lớn của vua bị một toán cướp bóc từ A-rập giết hại. Vậy, A-cha-xia, con Giô-ram, làm vua nước Giu-đa.
2 [was] a son of Forty and two year[s] Ahaziah when became king he and a year one he reigned in Jerusalem and [the] name of mother his [was] Athaliah [the] daughter of Omri.
A-cha-xia, con Giô-ram, được hai mươi hai tuổi khi lên ngôi và cai trị một năm tại Giê-ru-sa-lem. Mẹ ông là A-tha-li, cháu của Ôm-ri.
3 Also he he walked in [the] ways of [the] house of Ahab for mother his she was [female] counselor his to act wickedly.
A-cha-xia cũng đi theo đường lối của gia tộc Vua A-háp, vì bị mẹ xúi giục làm điều ác.
4 And he did the evil in [the] eyes of Yahweh like [the] house of Ahab for they they were of him counselors after [the] death of father his to destruction of him.
Vua làm ác trước mặt Chúa Hằng Hữu, đúng như gia tộc A-háp đã làm. Họ còn làm quân sư cho vua sau khi cha vua qua đời, và họ đưa vua vào chỗ diệt vong.
5 Also in counsel their he walked and he went with Jehoram [the] son of Ahab [the] king of Israel to war on Hazael [the] king of Aram at Ramoth Gilead and they wounded the Arameans Joram.
Nghe theo lời gian ác của họ, A-cha-xia kéo quân theo Vua Giô-ram, con A-háp, vua Ít-ra-ên để tấn công Ha-xa-ên, vua A-ram tại Ra-mốt Ga-la-át. Bị thương trong trận đánh tại Ra-ma,
6 And he returned to get himself healed in Jezreel for the wounds which they had wounded him at Ramah when fought he with Hazael [the] king of Aram and Azariah [the] son of Jehoram [the] king of Judah he went down to see Jehoram [the] son of Ahab in Jezreel for [was] being ill he.
Giô-ram liền quay về Gít-rê-ên để chữa các vết thương. A-xa-ria, vua Giu-đa xuống Gít-rê-ên thăm Giô-ram đang bị thương.
7 And from God it was [the] downfall of Ahaziah by going to Joram and when went he he went out with Jehoram to Jehu [the] son of Nimshi whom he had anointed him Yahweh to cut off [the] house of Ahab.
Sự sụp đổ của A-cha-xia đều do ý định của Đức Chúa Trời. Khi A-cha-xia đến thăm bệnh, vua cũng theo Giô-ram ra gặp Giê-hu, con Nim-si, là người Chúa Hằng Hữu đã xức dầu để tiêu diệt gia tộc A-háp.
8 And it was when entered into judgment Jehu with [the] house of Ahab and he found [the] officials of Judah and [the] sons of [the] brothers of Ahaziah serving Ahaziah and he killed them.
Vì thế, khi thi hành án phạt nhà A-háp, Giê-hu cũng gặp các nhà lãnh đạo Giu-đa cùng các con trai, anh em, và các đầy tớ của A-cha-xia. Giê-hu liền giết sạch những người này.
9 And he sought to find Ahaziah and people captured him and he [was] hiding himself in Samaria and they brought him to Jehu and they put to death him and they buried him for they said [was] [the] son of Jehoshaphat he who he sought Yahweh with all heart his and not for [the] house of Ahaziah to retain strength for kingship.
Giê-hu cũng cho người tìm kiếm A-cha-xia, và họ tìm được ông đang trốn tại Sa-ma-ri. Họ mang ông đến gặp Giê-hu và ông bị xử tử. Nhưng A-cha-xia được chôn cất tử tế vì họ bảo: “Ông ấy là con cháu của Giô-sa-phát, người hết lòng tìm kiếm Chúa Hằng Hữu.” Khi A-cha-xia qua đời, trong hoàng tộc không còn người nào có đủ uy quyền để lên kế vị.
10 And Athaliah [the] mother of Ahaziah she saw that he was dead son her and she arose and she destroyed all [the] offspring of royalty of [the] house of Judah.
Khi A-tha-li, mẹ của A-cha-xia, thấy con mình đã chết liền ra tay tàn sát tất cả dòng dõi vua Giu-đa.
11 And she took Jehoshabeath [the] daughter of the king Joash [the] son of Ahaziah and she stole him from among [the] sons of the king who were being put to death and she put him and suckling-nurse his in [the] chamber of the beds and she hid him Jehoshabeath [the] daughter of the king Jehoram [the] wife of Jehoiada the priest for she she was [the] sister of Ahaziah from before Athaliah and not she killed him.
Nhưng chị của A-cha-xia là Giô-sê-bết, con gái vua Giô-ram, đem giấu Giô-ách, con A-cha-xia, và cứu cậu thoát khỏi số phận dành cho các hoàng tử. Nàng giấu Giô-ách và người vú nuôi vào trong phòng ngủ. Bằng cách này, Giô-sê-bết, vợ Thầy Tế lễ Giê-hô-gia-đa và là chị của A-cha-xia giấu được Giô-ách, không cho A-tha-li giết.
12 And he was with them in [the] house of God hiding six years and Athaliah [was] reigning over the land.
Giô-ách trốn trong Đền Thờ Đức Chúa Trời suốt thời gian A-tha-li cai trị sáu năm.
