2 Chronicles 17
1 And he became king Jehoshaphat son his in place of him and he strengthened himself on Israel.
౧ఆసా తరువాత అతని కుమారుడు యెహోషాపాతు రాజై ఇశ్రాయేలు తన మీదికి రాకుండ తన రాజ్యాన్ని బలపరచుకున్నాడు.
2 And he put an army in all [the] cities of Judah fortified and he put garrisons in [the] land of Judah and in [the] cities of Ephraim which he had captured Asa father his.
౨అతడు యూదా దేశంలోని ప్రాకార పురాలన్నిటిలో సైన్యాలను ఉంచి, యూదా దేశంలో తన తండ్రి ఆసా పట్టుకొన్న ఎఫ్రాయిము పట్టణాల్లో కావలి దండులను ఉంచాడు.
3 And he was Yahweh with Jehoshaphat for he walked in [the] ways of David ancestor his former and not he sought the Baals.
౩యెహోవా అతనికి సహాయం చేయగా యెహోషాపాతు తన పూర్వికుడు దావీదు ప్రారంభ దినాల్లో నడిచిన మార్గంలో నడుస్తూ
4 For [the] God of father his he sought and in commandments his he walked and not according to [the] deed[s] of Israel.
౪బయలు దేవుళ్ళను పూజించకుండా తన తండ్రి దేవునిపై ఆధారపడి, ఇశ్రాయేలువారి చర్యల ప్రకారం గాక దేవుని ఆజ్ఞల ప్రకారం నడిచాడు.
5 And he established Yahweh the kingdom in hand his and they gave all Judah tribute to Jehoshaphat and it belonged to him wealth and honor to abundance.
౫కాబట్టి యెహోవా అతని రాజ్యాన్ని స్థిరపరిచాడు. యూదావారంతా యెహోషాపాతుకు పన్ను కట్టారు. అతనికి ఐశ్వర్యం, ఘనత, సమృద్ధిగా కలిగింది.
6 And it was high heart his in [the] ways of Yahweh and again he removed the high places and the Asherah poles from Judah.
౬యెహోవా మార్గాల్లో నడవడానికి అతడు తన మనస్సులో దృఢ నిశ్చయం చేసుకుని, ఉన్నత స్థలాలనూ దేవతా స్తంభాలనూ యూదాలో నుండి తీసివేశాడు.
7 And in year three of reigning his he sent officials his Ben-Hail and Obadiah and Zechariah and Nethanel and Micaiah to teach in [the] cities of Judah.
౭తన పాలన మూడవ సంవత్సరంలో యూదా పట్టణాల్లోని ప్రజలకు ధర్మశాస్త్రాన్ని బోధించడానికి అతడు బెన్హయీలు, ఓబద్యా, జెకర్యా, నెతనేలు, మీకాయా అనే పెద్దలను పంపాడు.
8 And [were] with them the Levites Shemaiah and Nethaniah and Zebadiah and Asahel (and Shemiramoth *Q(K)*) and Jonathan and Adonijah and Tobijah and Tob-Adonijah the Levites and [were] with them Elishama and Jehoram the priests.
౮వారితో షెమయా, నెతన్యా, జెబద్యా, అశాహేలు, షెమిరామోతు, యెహోనాతాను, అదోనీయా, టోబీయా, టోబదోనీయా అనే లేవీయులనూ, ఎలీషామా, యెహోరాము అనే యజకులనూ పంపించాడు.
9 And they taught in Judah and [was] with them [the] book of [the] law of Yahweh and they went round in all [the] cities of Judah and they taught among the people.
౯వారు యెహోవా ధర్మశాస్త్ర గ్రంథం పట్టుకుని యూదావారి మధ్య ప్రకటిస్తూ, యూదా పట్టణాలన్నిటిలో సంచరిస్తూ ప్రజలకు బోధించారు.
10 And it was - [the] dread of Yahweh on all [the] kingdoms of the lands which [were] around Judah and not they waged war with Jehoshaphat.
౧౦యూదా దేశం చుట్టూ ఉన్న రాజ్యాలన్నిటి మీదికి యెహోవా భయం రావడం చేత ఎవరూ యెహోషాపాతుతో యుద్ధం చేయడానికి తెగించలేదు.
11 And some of [the] Philistines [were] bringing to Jehoshaphat tribute and silver a load also the Arabs [were] bringing to him flock[s] rams seven thousand and seven hundred and male goats seven thousand and seven hundred.
౧౧ఫిలిష్తీయుల్లో కొందరు యెహోషాపాతుకు పన్ను, కానుకలు ఇస్తూ వచ్చారు. అరబీయులు కూడా అతనికి 7, 700 గొర్రె పొట్టేళ్లను, 7, 700 మేకపోతులను సమర్పించేవారు.
12 And it was Jehoshaphat [was] going and [was] becoming great to upwards and he built in Judah fortresses and cities of storage.
౧౨యెహోషాపాతు అంతకంతకూ గొప్పవాడై యూదా దేశంలో కోటలనూ, సామగ్రి నిలవచేసే పట్టణాలనూ కట్టించాడు.
13 And property much it belonged to him in [the] cities of Judah and men of war mighty [men] of strength [were] in Jerusalem.
౧౩యూదాదేశపు పట్టణాల్లో అతనికి విస్తారమైన సంపద సమకూడింది. అతని కింద పరాక్రమశాలురు యెరూషలేములో ఉండేవారు.
14 And these [were] group[s] their to [the] house of ancestors their of Judah commanders of thousands Adnah [was] the commander and [were] with him mighty [men] of strength three hundred thousand.
౧౪వీరి పూర్వీకుల వంశాల ప్రకారం వీరి సంఖ్య. యూదాలో సహస్రాధిపతులకు ప్రధాని అయిన అద్నా దగ్గర 3,00,000 మంది పరాక్రమశాలులున్నారు.
15 And on hand his Jehohanan the commander and with him two hundred and eighty thousand.
౧౫అతని తరువాత యెహోహానాను అనే అధిపతి. ఇతని దగ్గర 2, 80,000 మంది ఉన్నారు.
16 And on hand his Amasiah [the] son of Zikri who volunteered to Yahweh and with him two hundred thousand mighty [man] of strength.
౧౬అతని తరువాత జిఖ్రీ కుమారుడు, యెహోవాకు తనను తాను మనఃపూర్వకంగా సమర్పించుకొన్న అమస్యా. అతని దగ్గర 2,00,000 మంది పరాక్రమశాలులున్నారు.
17 And from Benjamin a mighty [man] of strength Eliada and with him [men] equipped of bow and shield two hundred thousand.
౧౭బెన్యామీనీయుల్లో ఎల్యాదా అనే పరాక్రమశాలి ఒకడున్నాడు. ఇతని దగ్గర విల్లు, డాలు, పట్టుకొనేవారు 2,00,000 మంది ఉన్నారు.
18 And on hand his Jehozabad and with him one hundred and eighty thousand [men] equipped of war.
౧౮అతని తరువాత యెహోజాబాదు. ఇతని దగ్గర 1, 80,000 మంది యుద్ధ సన్నద్ధులున్నారు.
19 These [were] the [ones who] served the king besides [those] whom he put the king in [the] cities of fortification in all Judah.
౧౯రాజు యూదా అంతటిలో ఉన్న ప్రాకార పురాల్లో ఉంచినవారు గాక వీరు రాజు పరివారంలో ఉన్నారు.
