2 Chronicles 17
1 And he became king Jehoshaphat son his in place of him and he strengthened himself on Israel.
Și Iosafat, fiul său, a domnit în locul său și s-a întărit împotriva lui Israel.
2 And he put an army in all [the] cities of Judah fortified and he put garrisons in [the] land of Judah and in [the] cities of Ephraim which he had captured Asa father his.
Și a pus trupe în toate cetățile întărite din Iuda și a pus garnizoane în țara lui Iuda și în cetățile lui Efraim, pe care Asa, tatăl său, le luase.
3 And he was Yahweh with Jehoshaphat for he walked in [the] ways of David ancestor his former and not he sought the Baals.
Și DOMNUL a fost cu Iosafat, deoarece a umblat în căile dintâi ale tatălui său, David, și nu a căutat pe Baali,
4 For [the] God of father his he sought and in commandments his he walked and not according to [the] deed[s] of Israel.
Ci l-a căutat pe DOMNUL Dumnezeul tatălui său și a umblat în poruncile lui și nu după faptele lui Israel.
5 And he established Yahweh the kingdom in hand his and they gave all Judah tribute to Jehoshaphat and it belonged to him wealth and honor to abundance.
De aceea DOMNUL a întemeiat împărăția în mâna lui și tot Iuda a adus lui Iosafat daruri; și el a avut bogății și onoare din abundență.
6 And it was high heart his in [the] ways of Yahweh and again he removed the high places and the Asherah poles from Judah.
Și inima lui a fost înălțată în căile DOMNULUI; mai mult, a îndepărtat înălțimile și dumbrăvile din Iuda.
7 And in year three of reigning his he sent officials his Ben-Hail and Obadiah and Zechariah and Nethanel and Micaiah to teach in [the] cities of Judah.
De asemenea, în al treilea an al domniei lui, a trimis după prinții săi: Ben-Hail și Obadia și Zaharia și Natanael și Micaia, pentru a învăța poporul în cetățile lui Iuda.
8 And [were] with them the Levites Shemaiah and Nethaniah and Zebadiah and Asahel (and Shemiramoth *Q(K)*) and Jonathan and Adonijah and Tobijah and Tob-Adonijah the Levites and [were] with them Elishama and Jehoram the priests.
Și cu ei a trimis leviți: pe Șemaia și pe Netania și pe Zebadia și pe Asael și pe Șemiramot și pe Ionatan și pe Adonia și pe Tobia și pe Tob-Adonia, leviții; și cu ei pe Elișama și pe Ioram, preoții.
9 And they taught in Judah and [was] with them [the] book of [the] law of Yahweh and they went round in all [the] cities of Judah and they taught among the people.
Și ei au învățat poporul în Iuda și au avut cartea legii DOMNULUI cu ei și au mers prin toate cetățile lui Iuda și au învățat poporul.
10 And it was - [the] dread of Yahweh on all [the] kingdoms of the lands which [were] around Judah and not they waged war with Jehoshaphat.
Și frica DOMNULUI a căzut peste toate împărățiile țărilor în jurul lui Iuda, astfel încât nu au făcut război împotriva lui Iosafat.
11 And some of [the] Philistines [were] bringing to Jehoshaphat tribute and silver a load also the Arabs [were] bringing to him flock[s] rams seven thousand and seven hundred and male goats seven thousand and seven hundred.
De asemenea câțiva dintre filisteni au adus lui Iosafat daruri și tribut de argint; și arabii i-au adus turme, șapte mii șapte sute de berbeci și șapte mii șapte sute de țapi.
12 And it was Jehoshaphat [was] going and [was] becoming great to upwards and he built in Judah fortresses and cities of storage.
Și Iosafat s-a înălțat mult peste măsură; și a construit cetățui în Iuda și cetăți de provizii.
13 And property much it belonged to him in [the] cities of Judah and men of war mighty [men] of strength [were] in Jerusalem.
Și a avut multe afaceri în cetățile lui Iuda; și bărbații de război, războinicii viteji, erau în Ierusalim.
14 And these [were] group[s] their to [the] house of ancestors their of Judah commanders of thousands Adnah [was] the commander and [were] with him mighty [men] of strength three hundred thousand.
Și acesta este numărul lor, conform casei părinților lor: Din Iuda, căpeteniile peste mii: Adna, mai marele, și cu el războinici viteji, trei sute de mii.
15 And on hand his Jehohanan the commander and with him two hundred and eighty thousand.
Și lângă el era căpetenia Iohanan și cu el două sute optzeci de mii.
16 And on hand his Amasiah [the] son of Zikri who volunteered to Yahweh and with him two hundred thousand mighty [man] of strength.
Și lângă el era Amasia, fiul lui Zicri, care de bunăvoie s-a oferit DOMNULUI; și cu el două sute de mii de războinici viteji.
17 And from Benjamin a mighty [man] of strength Eliada and with him [men] equipped of bow and shield two hundred thousand.
Și din Beniamin: Eliada, un războinic viteaz, și cu el bărbați înarmați cu arc și scut, două sute de mii.
18 And on hand his Jehozabad and with him one hundred and eighty thousand [men] equipped of war.
Și lângă el era Iozabad și cu el o sută optzeci de mii, gata pregătiți pentru război.
19 These [were] the [ones who] served the king besides [those] whom he put the king in [the] cities of fortification in all Judah.
Aceștia au servit împăratului, în afară de aceia pe care împăratul i-a pus în cetățile întărite prin tot Iuda.
