2 Chronicles 17
1 And he became king Jehoshaphat son his in place of him and he strengthened himself on Israel.
Potem w jego miejsce królował Jehoszafat, jego syn, i umocnił się przeciwko Izraelowi.
2 And he put an army in all [the] cities of Judah fortified and he put garrisons in [the] land of Judah and in [the] cities of Ephraim which he had captured Asa father his.
I umieścił wojska we wszystkich warownych miastach Judy. Umieścił też załogi w ziemi Judy i w miastach Efraima, które zdobył Asa, jego ojciec.
3 And he was Yahweh with Jehoshaphat for he walked in [the] ways of David ancestor his former and not he sought the Baals.
A PAN był z Jehoszafatem, ponieważ chodził on pierwszymi drogami swego ojca Dawida i nie szukał Baalów;
4 For [the] God of father his he sought and in commandments his he walked and not according to [the] deed[s] of Israel.
Lecz szukał Boga swego ojca i postępował według jego przykazań, a nie według czynów ludu Izraela.
5 And he established Yahweh the kingdom in hand his and they gave all Judah tribute to Jehoshaphat and it belonged to him wealth and honor to abundance.
I PAN utwierdził królestwo w jego rękach, a cały lud Judy składał dary Jehoszafatowi, tak że miał wiele bogactwa i wielką sławę.
6 And it was high heart his in [the] ways of Yahweh and again he removed the high places and the Asherah poles from Judah.
Umocniło się jego serce w drogach PANA, tym bardziej więc znosił wyżyny i gaje z ziemi Judy.
7 And in year three of reigning his he sent officials his Ben-Hail and Obadiah and Zechariah and Nethanel and Micaiah to teach in [the] cities of Judah.
Potem w trzecim roku swojego panowania posłał swoich książąt: Ben-Chaila, Obadiasza, Zachariasza, Netaneela i Micheasza, aby nauczali w miastach Judy.
8 And [were] with them the Levites Shemaiah and Nethaniah and Zebadiah and Asahel (and Shemiramoth *Q(K)*) and Jonathan and Adonijah and Tobijah and Tob-Adonijah the Levites and [were] with them Elishama and Jehoram the priests.
[Posłał] z nimi także Lewitów: Szemajasza, Netaniasza, Zebadiasza, Asahela, Szemiramota, Jehonatana, Adoniasza, Tobiasza i Tobadoniasza – Lewitów, a z nimi Eliszamę i Jehorama, kapłanów.
9 And they taught in Judah and [was] with them [the] book of [the] law of Yahweh and they went round in all [the] cities of Judah and they taught among the people.
Nauczali oni w Judzie, mając ze sobą księgę Prawa PANA, i obchodzili wszystkie miasta Judy, i nauczali lud.
10 And it was - [the] dread of Yahweh on all [the] kingdoms of the lands which [were] around Judah and not they waged war with Jehoshaphat.
A bojaźń PANA padła na wszystkie królestwa ziemi [położone] dokoła Judy i nie śmiały walczyć przeciwko Jehoszafatowi.
11 And some of [the] Philistines [were] bringing to Jehoshaphat tribute and silver a load also the Arabs [were] bringing to him flock[s] rams seven thousand and seven hundred and male goats seven thousand and seven hundred.
[Niektórzy] z Filistynów przynosili Jehoszafatowi dary i daniny w srebrze. Arabowie przyprowadzili mu trzody: siedem tysięcy siedemset baranów i siedem tysięcy siedemset kozłów.
12 And it was Jehoshaphat [was] going and [was] becoming great to upwards and he built in Judah fortresses and cities of storage.
I Jehoszafat wzrastał coraz bardziej w potęgę, i budował w Judzie zamki oraz miasta spichlerze.
13 And property much it belonged to him in [the] cities of Judah and men of war mighty [men] of strength [were] in Jerusalem.
Podjął wiele prac w miastach Judy. I miał wielu dzielnych i potężnych wojowników w Jerozolimie.
14 And these [were] group[s] their to [the] house of ancestors their of Judah commanders of thousands Adnah [was] the commander and [were] with him mighty [men] of strength three hundred thousand.
A oto [jest] ich spis według ich rodów: z Judy tysiącznikami byli: dowódca Adna, a z nim trzysta tysięcy dzielnych wojowników.
15 And on hand his Jehohanan the commander and with him two hundred and eighty thousand.
Przy nim [stał] dowódca Jehochanan, a z nim dwieście osiemdziesiąt tysięcy.
16 And on hand his Amasiah [the] son of Zikri who volunteered to Yahweh and with him two hundred thousand mighty [man] of strength.
Przy nim – Amazjasz, syn Zikriego, który dobrowolnie poświęcił się PANU, a z nim dwieście tysięcy dzielnych wojowników.
17 And from Benjamin a mighty [man] of strength Eliada and with him [men] equipped of bow and shield two hundred thousand.
A z synów Beniamina: Eliada, dzielny wojownik, a z nim dwieście tysięcy mężczyzn uzbrojonych w łuki i tarcze.
18 And on hand his Jehozabad and with him one hundred and eighty thousand [men] equipped of war.
A przy nim – Jehozabad, a z nim sto osiemdziesiąt tysięcy gotowych do boju.
19 These [were] the [ones who] served the king besides [those] whom he put the king in [the] cities of fortification in all Judah.
Oni służyli królowi, nie licząc tych, których król rozmieścił w warownych miastach po całej ziemi Judy.
