2 Chronicles 17
1 And he became king Jehoshaphat son his in place of him and he strengthened himself on Israel.
Anstataŭ li ekreĝis lia filo Jehoŝafat. Kaj li fariĝis potenca kontraŭ Izrael.
2 And he put an army in all [the] cities of Judah fortified and he put garrisons in [the] land of Judah and in [the] cities of Ephraim which he had captured Asa father his.
Li starigis militistaron en ĉiuj fortikigitaj urboj de Judujo, kaj starigis garnizonojn en la lando de Jehuda, kaj en la urboj de Efraim, kiujn venkoprenis lia patro Asa.
3 And he was Yahweh with Jehoshaphat for he walked in [the] ways of David ancestor his former and not he sought the Baals.
Kaj la Eternulo estis kun Jehoŝafat, ĉar li iradis laŭ la antaŭaj vojoj de sia patro David kaj ne turnis sin al la Baaloj,
4 For [the] God of father his he sought and in commandments his he walked and not according to [the] deed[s] of Israel.
sed nur la Dion de sia patro li serĉis kaj Liajn ordonojn li sekvis, ne simile al la agado de Izrael.
5 And he established Yahweh the kingdom in hand his and they gave all Judah tribute to Jehoshaphat and it belonged to him wealth and honor to abundance.
Kaj la Eternulo fortikigis la regnon en lia mano, kaj ĉiuj Judoj donacis donacojn al Jehoŝafat, kaj li havis multe da riĉeco kaj da honoro.
6 And it was high heart his in [the] ways of Yahweh and again he removed the high places and the Asherah poles from Judah.
Lia koro altiĝis sur la vojoj de la Eternulo; li ankaŭ forigis la altaĵojn kaj la sanktajn stangojn el Judujo.
7 And in year three of reigning his he sent officials his Ben-Hail and Obadiah and Zechariah and Nethanel and Micaiah to teach in [the] cities of Judah.
En la tria jaro de lia reĝado li sendis siajn eminentulojn Ben-Ĥail, Obadja, Zeĥarja, Netanel, kaj Miĥaja, ke ili instruu en la urboj de Judujo;
8 And [were] with them the Levites Shemaiah and Nethaniah and Zebadiah and Asahel (and Shemiramoth *Q(K)*) and Jonathan and Adonijah and Tobijah and Tob-Adonijah the Levites and [were] with them Elishama and Jehoram the priests.
kaj kun ili la Levidojn Ŝemaja, Netanja, Zebadja, Asahel, Ŝemiramot, Jehonatan, Adonija, Tobija, kaj Tob-Adonija, la Levidojn, kaj kun ili la pastrojn Eliŝama kaj Jehoram.
9 And they taught in Judah and [was] with them [the] book of [the] law of Yahweh and they went round in all [the] cities of Judah and they taught among the people.
Kaj ili instruis en Judujo, havante kun si libron de instruo de la Eternulo; ili trairis ĉiujn urbojn de Judujo kaj instruis la popolon.
10 And it was - [the] dread of Yahweh on all [the] kingdoms of the lands which [were] around Judah and not they waged war with Jehoshaphat.
Kaj timo antaŭ la Eternulo estis en ĉiuj regnoj de la landoj, kiuj estis ĉirkaŭ Judujo, kaj ili ne militis kontraŭ Jehoŝafat.
11 And some of [the] Philistines [were] bringing to Jehoshaphat tribute and silver a load also the Arabs [were] bringing to him flock[s] rams seven thousand and seven hundred and male goats seven thousand and seven hundred.
De la Filiŝtoj oni alportadis al Jehoŝafat donacojn, kaj arĝenton kiel tributon; ankaŭ la Araboj venigadis al li malgrandajn brutojn: sep mil sepcent ŝafojn kaj sep mil sepcent kaprojn.
12 And it was Jehoshaphat [was] going and [was] becoming great to upwards and he built in Judah fortresses and cities of storage.
Jehoŝafat fariĝadis ĉiam pli granda kaj atingis grandan altecon. Kaj li konstruis en Judujo kastelojn kaj grenurbojn.
13 And property much it belonged to him in [the] cities of Judah and men of war mighty [men] of strength [were] in Jerusalem.
Kaj multe da laboroj li havis en la urboj de Judujo, kaj bravajn militistojn en Jerusalem.
14 And these [were] group[s] their to [the] house of ancestors their of Judah commanders of thousands Adnah [was] the commander and [were] with him mighty [men] of strength three hundred thousand.
Jen estas ilia ordo laŭ iliaj patrodomoj: ĉe la Jehudaidoj estis milestroj: la estro Adna, kaj kun li estis tricent mil bravaj militistoj;
15 And on hand his Jehohanan the commander and with him two hundred and eighty thousand.
apud li estis la estro Jehoĥanan, kaj kun li ducent okdek mil;
16 And on hand his Amasiah [the] son of Zikri who volunteered to Yahweh and with him two hundred thousand mighty [man] of strength.
apud li estis Amasja, filo de Ziĥri, kiu konsekris sin al la Eternulo, kaj kun li estis ducent mil bravaj militistoj.
17 And from Benjamin a mighty [man] of strength Eliada and with him [men] equipped of bow and shield two hundred thousand.
Ĉe la Benjamenidoj estis: brava militisto Eljada, kaj kun li ducent mil viroj armitaj per pafarko kaj ŝildo;
18 And on hand his Jehozabad and with him one hundred and eighty thousand [men] equipped of war.
apud li estis Jehozabad, kaj kun li cent okdek mil viroj armitaj por la militistaro.
19 These [were] the [ones who] served the king besides [those] whom he put the king in [the] cities of fortification in all Judah.
Tiuj servis al la reĝo, krom tiuj, kiujn la reĝo starigis en la fortikigitaj urboj de la tuta Judujo.
