2 Chronicles 16
1 In year thirty and six of [the] reign of Asa he came up Baasha [the] king of Israel on Judah and he built Ramah to not [surely] permitting one going out or one coming in to Asa [the] king of Judah.
La trente-sixième année du règne d’Asa, Baasa, roi d’Israël, monta contre Juda, et il bâtit Rama, pour empêcher les gens d’Asa, roi de Juda, de sortir et d’entrer.
2 And he brought out Asa silver and gold from [the] treasuries of [the] house of Yahweh and [the] house of the king and he sent [it] to Ben Hadad [the] king of Aram who dwelt in Damascus saying.
Asa tira de l’argent et de l’or des trésors de la maison de Yahweh et de la maison du roi, et il envoya des messagers à Ben-Hadad, roi de Syrie, qui habitait à Damas, pour dire:
3 A covenant [be] between me and between you and between father my and between father your here! I have sent to you silver and gold go break covenant your with Baasha [the] king of Israel so he may go up from on me.
« Qu’il y ait une alliance entre moi et toi, comme il y en avait une entre mon père et ton père. Je t’envoie de l’argent et de l’or. Va, romps ton alliance avec Baasa, roi d’Israël, afin qu’il s’éloigne de moi. »
4 And he listened Ben Hadad to the king Asa and he sent [the] commanders of the armies which [belonged] to him against [the] cities of Israel and they struck down Ijon and Dan and Abel Maim and all [the] stores of [the] cities of Naphtali.
Ben-Hadad écouta le roi Asa; il envoya les chefs de son armée contre les villes d’Israël, et ils battirent Ahion, Dan, Abel-Maïm et toutes les villes à magasins de Nephthali.
5 And it was when heard Baasha and he ceased from building Ramah and he caused to cease work his.
Baasa, l’ayant appris, cessa de bâtir Rama, et interrompit ses travaux.
6 And Asa the king he took all Judah and they carried off [the] stones of Ramah and wood its which he had built Baasha and he built with them Geba and Mizpah.
Le roi Asa prit tout Juda, et ils emportèrent les pierres et le bois avec lesquels Baasa construisait Rama; et il bâtit avec elles Gabaa et Maspha.
7 And at the time that he came Hanani the seer to Asa [the] king of Judah and he said to him because depending you on [the] king of Aram and not you depended on Yahweh God your there-fore it has escaped [the] army of [the] king of Aram from hand your.
En ce temps-là, Hanani le voyant vint auprès d’Asa, roi de Juda, et lui dit: « Parce que tu t’es appuyé sur le roi de Syrie et que tu ne t’es pas appuyé sur Yahweh, ton Dieu, à cause de cela, l’armée du roi de Syrie s’est échappée de tes mains.
8 ¿ Not the Cushites and the Libyans were they an army - for multitude chariotry and horsemen to abundance exceedingly and because depending you on Yahweh he gave them in hand your.
Les Éthiopiens et les Lybiens ne formaient-ils pas une grande armée, avec des chars, et des cavaliers très nombreux? Et cependant, parce que tu t’étais appuyé sur Yahweh, il les a livrés entre tes mains.
9 For Yahweh eyes his [are] roving about in all the earth to show himself strong with [those who] heart their [is] complete to him you have acted foolishly on this for from now there with you [will be] wars.
Car les yeux de Yahweh parcourent toute la terre pour soutenir ceux dont le cœur est parfaitement à lui. Tu as donc agi en insensé dans cette affaire, car désormais tu auras des guerres. »
10 And he was angry Asa against the seer and he put him [the] house of the stock[s] for in a rage with him on this and he crushed Asa some of the people at the time that.
Asa fut irrité contre le voyant, et il le fit mettre en prison, car il était en colère contre lui à cause de ses paroles. Dans le même temps, Asa opprima quelques-uns du peuple.
11 And there! [the] matters of Asa former and latter there they [are] written on [the] scroll of the kings of Judah and Israel.
Et voici que les actes d’Asa, les premiers et les derniers, sont écrits dans le livre des rois de Juda et d’Israël.
12 And he became sick Asa in year thirty and nine of reign his in feet his [was] to upwards sickness his and also in sickness his not he sought Yahweh for the physicians.
Dans la trente-neuvième année de son règne, Asa eut les pieds malades au point d’éprouver de grandes souffrances; mais, même pendant sa maladie, il ne chercha pas Yahweh, mais les médecins.
13 And he lay down Asa with ancestors his and he died in year forty and one of reigning his.
Asa se coucha avec ses pères, et il mourut la quarante-unième année de son règne.
14 And people buried him in own grave his which he had dug for himself in [the] city of David and they made lie him in the lying place which he had filled spices and kinds mixed as ointment of work and they burned for him a burning great up to muchness.
On l’enterra dans son sépulcre qu’il s’était creusé dans la ville de David; on le coucha sur un lit qu’on avait rempli de parfums et d’aromates préparés selon l’art du parfumeur, et l’on en brûla une quantité très considérable.
