2 Chronicles 13
1 In year eight-teen of the king Jeroboam and he became king Abijah over Judah.
Manghai Jeroboam kah kum hlai rhet dongah Abijah Judah ah manghai tih,
2 Three years he reigned in Jerusalem and [the] name of mother his [was] Micaiah [the] daughter of Uriel from Gibeah and war it was between Abijah and between Jeroboam.
Jerusalem ah kum thum manghai. A manu ming tah Gibeah lamkah Uriel canu Mikaiah ni. Te vaengah Abijah laklo neh Jeroboam laklo ah caemtloeknah om.
3 And he bound Abijah the battle with an army of mighty [men] of war four hundred thousand man chosen. And Jeroboam he drew up in formation with him battle with eight hundred thousand man chosen mighty of strength.
Abijah loh caemtloek te tatthai hlangrhalh neh pin uh tih caemtloek la hlang thawng ya li a coelh. Te vaengah Jeroboam loh caemtloek te a coelh tatthai hlangrhalh hlang thawng ya rhet neh rhong a pai thil.
4 And he stood Abijah on [the] mountain of Zemaraim which [is] in [the] hill country of Ephraim and he said listen to me O Jeroboam and all Israel.
Te vaengah Abijah tah Ephraim tlang kah Zemaraim tlang so ah pai tih, “Jeroboam neh Israel pum loh kai ol he hnatun uh.
5 ¿ Not [belong] to you [does] to know that Yahweh - [the] God of Israel he has given kingship to David over Israel for ever to him and to descendants his a covenant of salt.
Israel Pathen BOEIPA loh David he Israel soah kumhal ham ram a paek te na ming uh pawt nim? Anih taeng neh anih koca taengah paipi lungkaeh om.
6 And he arose Jeroboam [the] son of Nebat [the] servant of Solomon [the] son of David and he rebelled on master his.
Tedae David capa Solomon kah sal Nebat capa Jeroboam te thoo tih a boei te a tloelh.
7 And they gathered to him men empty sons of worthlessness and they proved themselves strong over Rehoboam [the] son of Solomon and Rehoboam he was a young man and weak of heart and not he showed himself strong before them.
Hlang muen capa olhong hlang rhoek te amah taengla a coi tih Solomon capa Rehoboam taengah ning uh. Rehoboam tah camoe la om tih a thinko a mongkawt dongah amih mikhmuh ah thaahuel thai pawh.
8 And now - you [are] saying to show yourselves strong before [the] kingdom of Yahweh in [the] hand of [the] descendants of David and you [are] a multitude great and [are] with you calves of gold which he made for you Jeroboam to gods.
“Te dongah David koca kut kah BOEIPA ram hmai ah thaahuel ham na ti uh coeng. Na hlangping uh muep dae nangmih taengkah sui vaitoca te Jeroboam long ni nangmih ham pathen la a saii.
9 ¿ Not have you driven out [the] priests of Yahweh [the] descendants of Aaron and the Levites and you have appointed for yourselves priests like [the] peoples of the lands every [one who] comes to fill own hand his with a young bull a young one of cattle and rams seven and he will become a priest to not gods.
BOEIPA kah khosoih, Aaron koca neh Levi rhoek te na heh uh moenih a? A kut vaito, saelhung ca, tutal pumrhih neh a bae la aka pawk boeih tah pathen pawt kah khosoih la aka om khaw khohmuen pilnam bangla na khosoih rhoek te na khueh uh.
10 And we Yahweh [is] God our and not we have forsaken him and [we are] priests serving Yahweh [the] descendants of Aaron and the Levites [are] in the work.
“Tedae kaimih taengah mamih kah Pathen BOEIPA a om dongah amah neh BOEIPA taengah aka thotat Aaron koca, khosoih rhoek khaw bitat dongkah Levi rhoek khaw ka hnawt uh moenih.
11 And [are] making smoke to Yahweh burnt offerings in the morning in the morning and in the evening in the evening and incense of perfume and [the] row of bread on the table clean and [the] lampstand of gold and lamps its to burn in the evening in the evening for [are] keeping we [the] duty of Yahweh God our and you you have forsaken him.
Mincang, mincang ah khaw, hlaem, hlaem ah khaw hmueihhlutnah te BOEIPA taengah ka phum uh. Bo-ul botui neh caboei cim dongkah rhungkung buh khaw ka tawnuh. Sui hmaitung neh a hmaithoi te hlaem, hlaem ah ka tok un. Kaimih ngawn tah mamih kah Pathen BOEIPA kah a kuek te ka ngaithuen uh dae nangmih long ni amah te na hnawt uh.
12 And here! [is] with us at the head God - and priests his and [the] trumpets of the alarm to sound [the] battle signal on you O people of Israel may not you do battle with Yahweh [the] God of ancestors your for not you will succeed.
Pathen tah kaimih taengah a lu la om coeng he. A khosoih rhoek neh olueng rhoek khaw nangmih Israel ca rhoek te yuhui thil ham tamlung neh om coeng. Na pa rhoek kah Pathen BOEIPA te vathoh thil uh boeh, na thaihtak uh mahpawh,” a ti nah.
13 And Jeroboam he had caused to go round the ambush to come from behind them and they were to front of Judah and the ambush [was] from behind them.
Te vaengah Jeroboam tah amih hnuk lamloh caeh hamla rhong te a hil. Te dongah Judah hmai la om uh tih rhong te amih hnuk ah om.
14 And they turned Judah and there! [was] to them the battle before and behind and they cried out to Yahweh and the priests ([were] blowing a trumpet *Q(k)*) on trumpets.
Judah rhoek te a mael uh vaengah caemtloek rhoek te amih taengah a hnuk a hmai la tarha a om pah. Te dongah BOEIPA taengla pang uh tih khosoih rhoek loh olueng te a ueng uh.
15 And they sounded [the] battle signal [the] man of Judah and it was when sounded [the] battle signal [the] man of Judah and God he defeated Jeroboam and all Israel before Abijah and Judah.
Te phoeiah Judah hlang rhoek te yuhui uh. Om bal tih Judah hlang te a yuhui vaengah tah Pathen loh Jeroboam neh Israel boeih te Abijah neh Judah mikhmuh ah a yawk sak.
16 And they fled [the] people of Israel from before Judah and he gave them God in hand their.
Te dongah Israel ca rhoek tah Judah mikhmuh lamloh rhaelrham uh tih amih te Pathen loh amamih kut ah a paek.
17 And they struck down among them Abijah and people his a striking great and they fell slain of Israel five hundred thousand man chosen.
Amih te Abijah neh a pilnam loh hmsoe len neh a ngawn. Te dongah Israel kah hlang coelh thawng ya nga a rhok la yalh.
18 And they were humbled [the] people of Israel at the time that and they were strong [the] people of Judah for they depended on Yahweh [the] God of ancestors their.
Te vaeng tue ah Israel ca rhoek te kunyun uh dae Judah ca rhoek tah a napa rhoek kah Pathen BOEIPA dongah a hangdang uh dongah a namning uh.
19 And he pursued Abijah after Jeroboam and he captured from him cities Beth-el and daughters its and Jeshanah and daughters its and (Ephrayin *Q(K)*) and daughters its.
Abijah loh Jeroboam hnuk te a hloem tih anih taeng lamkah Bethel khopuei rhoek neh a khobuel rhoek khaw, Jeshanah neh a khobuel khaw, Ephron neh a khobuel rhoek te a rhawt pah.
20 And not he retained [the] strength of Jeroboam again in [the] days of Abijah and he struck him Yahweh and he died.
Jeroboam kah thadueng te Abijah tue vaengah koep a saibawn moenih. Anih te BOEIPA loh a yawk sak tih duek.
21 And he strengthened himself Abijah and he took for himself wives four-teen and he fathered twenty and two sons and six-teen daughters.
Te cakhaw Abijah te cuung uh tih a yuu hlai li a loh. Te dongah capa pakul panit neh canu hlai rhuk a sak.
22 And [the] rest of [the] matters of Abijah and ways his and words his [are] written in [the] record of the prophet Iddo.
Abijah kah ol noi neh a khoboe khaw, a ol khaw tonghma Iddo kah cil dongah a daek.
