2 Chronicles 1
1 And he strengthened himself Solomon [the] son of David over kingdom his and Yahweh God his [was] with him and he made great him upwards.
Sa-lô-môn, con trai Đa-vít, được vững trên ngôi nước, vì Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đức Chúa Trời của vua, ở với vua và cho vua rất cường thịnh.
2 And he spoke Solomon to all Israel to [the] commanders of the thousands and the hundreds and to the judges and to every leader of all Israel [the] heads of the fathers.
Vua triệu tập tất cả lãnh đạo của Ít-ra-ên—các cấp chỉ huy nghìn người và trăm người, các phán quan, nhà lãnh đạo trong dân, và các trưởng tộc.
3 And they went Solomon and all the assembly with him to the high place which [was] at Gibeon for there it was [the] tent of meeting of God which he had made Moses [the] servant of Yahweh in the wilderness.
Sau đó vua hướng dẫn tất cả lên đồi cao tại Ga-ba-ôn, nơi Đền Tạm của Đức Chúa Trời. (Đây là nơi mà Môi-se, đầy tớ Chúa đã dựng trong hoang mạc.)
4 But [the] ark of God he had brought up David from Kiriath Jearim in where he had prepared for it David for he had pitched for it a tent in Jerusalem.
Vua Đa-vít đã dời Hòm Giao Ước của Đức Chúa Trời từ Ki-ri-át Giê-a-rim về Giê-ru-sa-lem, đặt trong chiếc lều vua đã dựng tại Giê-ru-sa-lem.
5 And [the] altar of bronze which he had made Bezalel [the] son of Uri [the] son of Hur he had put before [the] tabernacle of Yahweh and he sought it Solomon and the assembly.
Trước Đền Tạm có bàn thờ đồng mà Bê-sa-lê, con U-ri, cháu Hu-rơ đã làm. Sa-lô-môn và toàn dân đều đến đó để cầu hỏi Chúa Hằng Hữu.
6 And he went up Solomon there to [the] altar of bronze before Yahweh which [was] to [the] tent of meeting and he offered up on it burnt offerings a thousand.
Sa-lô-môn đến bàn thờ đồng tại Đền Tạm, dâng 1.000 lễ thiêu lên Chúa Hằng Hữu.
7 In the night that he appeared God to Solomon and he said to him ask what? will I give to you.
Đêm ấy, Đức Chúa Trời hiện đến với Sa-lô-môn và phán: “Hãy xin điều gì con muốn? Ta sẽ cho con.”
8 And he said Solomon to God you you have done with David father my covenant loyalty great and you have made king me in place of him.
Sa-lô-môn thưa với Đức Chúa Trời: “Chúa đã tỏ lòng thương xót bao la đối với Đa-vít, cha con, và nay Chúa đặt con lên ngôi thay cho người.
9 Now O Yahweh God let it be established word your with David father my for you you have made king me over a people numerous like [the] dust of the earth.
Thưa Chúa, xin hoàn thành lời hứa với Đa-vít, cha con, vì Chúa đã lập con làm vua dân tộc đông như bụi đất.
10 Now wisdom and knowledge give to me so let me go out before the people this so I may come for who? will he judge people your this great.
Xin Chúa ban cho con khôn ngoan tri thức để cai trị toàn dân, vì ai đủ khả năng chăn dắt dân tộc vĩ đại của Chúa?”
11 And he said God - to Solomon because that it was this with heart your and not you have asked for wealth riches and honor and [the] life of [those who] hate you and also days many not you have asked for and you have asked for for yourself wisdom and knowledge that you will judge people my which I have made king you over it.
Đức Chúa Trời phán với Sa-lô-môn: “Vì ước nguyện của con không phải là xin giàu sang, của cải, vinh dự, sống lâu, hay sinh mạng kẻ thù, nhưng xin khôn ngoan và tri thức để cai trị toàn dân Ta,
12 The wisdom and the knowledge [is] given to you and wealth and riches and honor I will give to you which - not it belonged thus to the kings who [were] before you and after you not it will be thus.
nên Ta sẽ ban cho con khôn ngoan và tri thức như con cầu xin, Ta cũng sẽ cho con giàu sang của cải, vinh dự đến nỗi trước con chẳng có vua nào bằng, và sau này cũng không ai sánh được với con!”
13 And he went Solomon to the high place which [was] at Gibeon Jerusalem from to before [the] tent of meeting and he reigned over Israel.
Vậy Sa-lô-môn từ Đền Tạm, trên đồi Ga-ba-ôn, trở về Giê-ru-sa-lem, và cai trị Ít-ra-ên.
14 And he gathered Solomon chariot[s] and warhorses and it belonged to him one thousand and four hundred chariot[s] and two [plus] ten thousand warhorses and he placed them in [the] cities of chariotry and with the king in Jerusalem.
Sa-lô-môn lập đoàn kỵ binh, gồm 1.400 chiến xa và 12.000 chiến mã. Vua để chiến xa trong các thành chứa chiến xa, và gần bên vua tại Giê-ru-sa-lem.
15 And he made the king silver and gold in Jerusalem like stones and cedars he made like the sycamores which [are] in the Shephelah for abundance.
Trong đời vua, vàng bạc tại Giê-ru-sa-lem nhiều như đá cuội. Và gỗ bá hương thường như gỗ sung ở miền Sô-phô-la!
16 And [the] export of the horses which [belonged] to Solomon [was] from Egypt and from Que [the] traders of the king from Que they took [them] for a price.
Những con ngựa của Sa-lô-môn được nhập từ Ai Cập và Si-li-si; các thương buôn của vua đã mua được từ Si-li-si với giá phải chăng.
17 And they brought up and they brought out from Egypt a chariot for six hundred silver and a horse for fifty and one hundred and thus to all [the] kings of the Hittites and [the] kings of Aram by hand their they brought [them] out.
Xe ngựa từ Ai Cập đem về Giê-ru-sa-lem giá 6,8 ký bạc một chiếc và ngựa gần 1,7 ký bạc một con. Họ cũng xuất khẩu ngựa và xe cho các vua Hê-tít và vua A-ram.
