1 Timothy 5
1 An elder not you may rebuke but do exhort [him] as a father, younger [men] as brothers,
த்வம்’ ப்ராசீநம்’ ந ப⁴ர்த்ஸய கிந்து தம்’ பிதரமிவ யூநஸ்²ச ப்⁴ராத்ரு’நிவ
2 elder [women] as mothers, [and] younger [women] as sisters in all purity.
வ்ரு’த்³தா⁴: ஸ்த்ரியஸ்²ச மாத்ரு’நிவ யுவதீஸ்²ச பூர்ணஸு²சித்வேந ப⁴கி³நீரிவ விநயஸ்வ|
3 Widows do honor who [are] truly widows.
அபரம்’ ஸத்யவித⁴வா: ஸம்மந்யஸ்வ|
4 If however any widow children or grandchildren has, they should learn first [her] own household to be devout and recompense to give to parents; this for is (good and *K*) pleasing before God.
கஸ்யாஸ்²சித்³ வித⁴வாயா யதி³ புத்ரா: பௌத்ரா வா வித்³யந்தே தர்ஹி தே ப்ரத²மத: ஸ்வீயபரிஜநாந் ஸேவிதும்’ பித்ரோ: ப்ரத்யுபகர்த்துஞ்ச ஸி²க்ஷந்தாம்’ யதஸ்ததே³வேஸ்²வரஸ்ய ஸாக்ஷாத்³ உத்தமம்’ க்³ராஹ்யஞ்ச கர்ம்ம|
5 She who [is] now indeed a widow and abandoned she has hope in (*ko*) God and she continues in supplications and in prayers by night and day;
அபரம்’ யா நாரீ ஸத்யவித⁴வா நாத²ஹீநா சாஸ்தி ஸா ஈஸ்²வரஸ்யாஸ்²ரயே திஷ்ட²ந்தீ தி³வாநிஸ²ம்’ நிவேத³நப்ரார்த²நாப்⁴யாம்’ காலம்’ யாபயதி|
6 She however living in self-indulgence [while] living has died.
கிந்து யா வித⁴வா ஸுக²போ⁴கா³ஸக்தா ஸா ஜீவத்யபி ம்ரு’தா ப⁴வதி|
7 Also these things do command, so that above reproach they may be.
அதஏவ தா யத்³ அநிந்தி³தா ப⁴வேயூஸ்தத³ர்த²ம் ஏதாநி த்வயா நிதி³ஸ்²யந்தாம்’|
8 If now anyone [their] own and especially (of the *k*) [their] household not (does provide for, *N(k)O*) the faith he has denied and he is than an unbeliever worse.
யதி³ கஸ்²சித் ஸ்வஜாதீயாந் லோகாந் விஸே²ஷத: ஸ்வீயபரிஜநாந் ந பாலயதி தர்ஹி ஸ விஸ்²வாஸாத்³ ப்⁴ரஷ்டோ (அ)ப்யத⁴மஸ்²ச ப⁴வதி|
9 A widow should ld be enrol not less than years [old] sixty having been of one man [the] wife,
வித⁴வாவர்கே³ யஸ்யா க³ணநா ப⁴வதி தயா ஷஷ்டிவத்ஸரேப்⁴யோ ந்யூநவயஸ்கயா ந ப⁴விதவ்யம்’; அபரம்’ பூர்வ்வம் ஏகஸ்வாமிகா பூ⁴த்வா
10 in works good being borne witness to, if she has brought up children, if she entertained strangers, if saints’ feet she has washed, if to those being oppressed she has imparted relief, if to every work good she has followed after.
ஸா யத் ஸி²ஸு²போஷணேநாதிதி²ஸேவநேந பவித்ரலோகாநாம்’ சரணப்ரக்ஷாலநேந க்லிஷ்டாநாம் உபகாரேண ஸர்வ்வவித⁴ஸத்கர்ம்மாசரணேந ச ஸத்கர்ம்மகரணாத் ஸுக்²யாதிப்ராப்தா ப⁴வேத் தத³ப்யாவஸ்²யகம்’|
11 Younger however widows do refuse; when for they may grow wanton against Christ, to marry they desire
கிந்து யுவதீ ர்வித⁴வா ந க்³ரு’ஹாண யத: க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்ய வைபரீத்யேந தாஸாம்’ த³ர்பே ஜாதே தா விவாஹம் இச்ச²ந்தி|
12 incurring judgment because the first faith they have cast off;
தஸ்மாச்ச பூர்வ்வத⁴ர்ம்மம்’ பரித்யஜ்ய த³ண்ட³நீயா ப⁴வந்தி|
13 At the same time then also [to be] idle they learn going about house to house. not only then idle, but also gossips and busybodies, speaking [things] not being proper.
அநந்தரம்’ தா க்³ரு’ஹாத்³ க்³ரு’ஹம்’ பர்ய்யடந்த்ய ஆலஸ்யம்’ ஸி²க்ஷந்தே கேவலமாலஸ்யம்’ நஹி கிந்த்வநர்த²காலாபம்’ பராதி⁴காரசர்ச்சாஞ்சாபி ஸி²க்ஷமாணா அநுசிதாநி வாக்யாநி பா⁴ஷந்தே|
14 I want therefore [the] younger [ones] to marry, to bear children, to manage their households, no occasion to give to the [one] opposing of reproach because;
அதோ மமேச்சே²யம்’ யுவத்யோ வித⁴வா விவாஹம்’ குர்வ்வதாம் அபத்யவத்யோ ப⁴வந்து க்³ரு’ஹகர்ம்ம குர்வ்வதாஞ்சேத்த²ம்’ விபக்ஷாய கிமபி நிந்தா³த்³வாரம்’ ந த³த³து|
15 Already for some have turned aside after Satan.
யத இத: பூர்வ்வம் அபி காஸ்²சித் ஸ²யதாநஸ்ய பஸ்²சாத்³கா³மிந்யோ ஜாதா: |
16 If any (faithful or *K*) believing [woman] has [dependent] widows, (she should help *NK(o)*) to them and not should be burdened the church, so that to those [who are] truly widows it may impart relief.
அபரம்’ விஸ்²வாஸிந்யா விஸ்²வாஸிநோ வா கஸ்யாபி பரிவாராணாம்’ மத்⁴யே யதி³ வித⁴வா வித்³யந்தே தர்ஹி ஸ தா: ப்ரதிபாலயது தஸ்மாத் ஸமிதௌ பா⁴ரே (அ)நாரோபிதே ஸத்யவித⁴வாநாம்’ ப்ரதிபாலநம்’ கர்த்தும்’ தயா ஸ²க்யதே|
17 The well already ruling elders of double honor should be counted worthy especially those straining in [the] word and [the] teaching;
யே ப்ராஞ்ச: ஸமிதிம்’ ஸம்யக்³ அதி⁴திஷ்ட²ந்தி விஸே²ஷத ஈஸ்²வரவாக்யேநோபதே³ஸே²ந ச யே யத்நம்’ வித³த⁴தே தே த்³விகு³ணஸ்யாத³ரஸ்ய யோக்³யா மாந்யந்தாம்’|
18 Says for the Scripture; An ox treading out grain not you will muzzle; and Worthy [is] the workman of the wages of him.
யஸ்மாத் ஸா²ஸ்த்ரே லிகி²தமித³மாஸ்தே, த்வம்’ ஸ²ஸ்யமர்த்³த³கவ்ரு’ஷஸ்யாஸ்யம்’ மா ப³தா⁴நேதி, அபரமபி கார்ய்யக்ரு’த்³ வேதநஸ்ய யோக்³யோ ப⁴வதீதி|
19 Against an elder an accusation not do receive unless only except upon two or three witnesses.
த்³வௌ த்ரீந் வா ஸாக்ஷிணோ விநா கஸ்யாசித் ப்ராசீநஸ்ய விருத்³த⁴ம் அபி⁴யோக³ஸ்த்வயா ந க்³ரு’ஹ்யதாம்’|
20 (now *o*) sinning before all do rebuke, so that also the rest fear may have.
அபரம்’ யே பாபமாசரந்தி தாந் ஸர்வ்வேஷாம்’ ஸமக்ஷம்’ ப⁴ர்த்ஸயஸ்வ தேநாபரேஷாமபி பீ⁴தி ர்ஜநிஷ்யதே|
21 I earnestly testify before God and (Lord *K*) Christ Jesus and the elect angels that these things you may keep apart from prejudice nothing doing out of partiality.
அஹம் ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய ப்ரபோ⁴ ர்யீஸு²க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்ய மநோநீததி³வ்யதூ³தாநாஞ்ச கோ³சரே த்வாம் இத³ம் ஆஜ்ஞாபயாமி த்வம்’ கஸ்யாப்யநுரோதே⁴ந கிமபி ந குர்வ்வந விநாபக்ஷபாதம் ஏதாந விதீ⁴ந் பாலய|
22 Hands soon on no one do lay nor do share in [the] sins of others, yourself pure do keep.
கஸ்யாபி மூர்த்³தி⁴ ஹஸ்தாபர்ணம்’ த்வரயா மாகார்ஷீ: | பரபாபாநாஞ்சாம்’ஸீ² மா ப⁴வ| ஸ்வம்’ ஸு²சிம்’ ரக்ஷ|
23 No longer do drink [only] water, but wine a little do use because of the stomach (of you *K*) and the frequent of you ailments.
அபரம்’ தவோத³ரபீடா³யா: புந: புந து³ர்ப்³ப³லதாயாஸ்²ச நிமித்தம்’ கேவலம்’ தோயம்’ ந பிவந் கிஞ்சிந் மத்³யம்’ பிவ|
24 Of some men the sins manifest are going before [them] to judgment; of some however also they appear later.
கேஷாஞ்சித் மாநவாநாம்’ பாபாநி விசாராத் பூர்வ்வம்’ கேஷாஞ்சித் பஸ்²சாத் ப்ரகாஸ²ந்தே|
25 Likewise also the works good evident (is *k*) and even those otherwise being to be concealed not (are able. *N(k)O*)
ததை²வ ஸத்கர்ம்மாண்யபி ப்ரகாஸ²ந்தே தத³ந்யதா² ஸதி ப்ரச்ச²ந்நாநி ஸ்தா²தும்’ ந ஸ²க்நுவந்தி|
