1 Samuel 1
1 And he was a man one from Ramathaim Zophim from [the] hill country of Ephraim and name his [was] Elkanah [the] son of Jeroham [the] son of Elihu [the] son of Tohu [the] son of Zuph an Ephrathite.
Có một người Ép-ra-im tên là Ên-ca-na, quê ở Ra-ma-tha-im Xô-phim, thuộc vùng đồi núi Ép-ra-im. Ông là con của Giê-rô-ham, cháu Ê-li-hu, chắt Tô-hu, chít Xu-phơ.
2 And [belonged] to him two wives [the] name of one [was] Hannah and [the] name of the second [was] Peninnah and it belonged to Peninnah children and [belonged] to Hannah not children.
Ên-ca-na có hai vợ, An-ne và Phê-ni-a. Phê-ni-a có con, còn An-ne thì son sẻ.
3 And he went up the man that from city his from days - days towards to bow down and to sacrifice to Yahweh of hosts at Shiloh and there [the] two [the] sons of Eli Hophni and Phinehas [were] priests of Yahweh.
Hằng năm, Ên-ca-na lên Si-lô thờ phụng và dâng lễ vật lên Chúa Hằng Hữu Vạn Quân tại Đền Tạm. Thầy tế lễ của Chúa Hằng Hữu lúc ấy là hai con trai của Hê-li tên là Hóp-ni và Phi-nê-a.
4 And it was the day and he sacrificed Elkanah and he gave to Peninnah wife his and to all sons her and daughters her portions.
Vào ngày dâng sinh tế, Ên-ca-na chia cho Phê-ni-a và các con mỗi người một phần lễ vật đã dâng.
5 And to Hannah he gave a portion one double for Hannah he loved and Yahweh he had closed womb her.
Nhưng ông cũng chỉ cho An-ne một phần như những người khác dù ông thương yêu nàng vì Chúa Hằng Hữu cho nàng son sẻ.
6 And she provoked her rival her also provocation in order to disconcert her for he had closed Yahweh behind womb her.
Phê-ni-a thường mang việc Chúa Hằng Hữu không cho An-ne có con ra để trêu chọc.
7 And thus he did a year in a year as often as went up she in [the] house of Yahweh thus she provoked her and she wept and not she ate.
Và việc cứ xảy ra như thế năm này sang năm khác mỗi khi họ lên Đền Tạm. Phê-ni-a cứ trêu tức An-ne đến độ An-ne phải khóc và bỏ ăn.
8 And he said to her Elkanah husband her O Hannah why? do you weep and why? not are you eating and why? is sad heart your ¿ not [am] I good to you more than ten sons.
Ên-ca-na tìm lời an ủi vợ: “Tại sao em khóc, An-ne? Tại sao em không ăn? Có phải em buồn bực vì không có con? Em đã có anh đây này—anh không đáng giá hơn mười đứa con trai sao?”
9 And she arose Hannah after had eaten in Shiloh and after had drunk and Eli the priest [was] sitting on the seat at [the] doorpost of [the] temple of Yahweh.
Một hôm, tại Si-lô, sau khi ăn uống, An-ne đi lên Đền Tạm của Chúa Hằng Hữu. Lúc ấy, Thầy Tế lễ Hê-li đang ngồi bên cửa đền.
10 And she [was] bitter of soul and she prayed to Yahweh and utterly she wept.
Lòng nặng sầu đau, An-ne cầu nguyện, khóc với Chúa Hằng Hữu.
11 And she vowed a vow and she said O Yahweh of hosts certainly [if] you will look - on [the] affliction of maidservant your and you will remember me and not you will forget maidservant your and you will give to maidservant of your spring of men and I will give him to Yahweh all [the] days of life his and a razor not it will go up on head his.
Nàng khấn nguyện: “Lạy Chúa Hằng Hữu Vạn Quân, nếu Ngài thấy nỗi khổ đau của con, không quên con, và cho con có một đứa con trai, thì con sẽ dâng nó cho Chúa. Trọn đời nó sẽ thuộc về Ngài, tóc nó sẽ không bao giờ bị cạo.”
12 And it was that she had increased to pray before Yahweh and Eli [was] watching mouth her.
Khi bà đang cầu nguyện với Chúa Hằng Hữu, thì Hê-li quan sát bà.
13 And Hannah she [was] speaking to heart her only lips her [were] quivering and voice her not it was heard and he considered her Eli to a drunken [woman].
Thấy môi bà mấp máy, không phát thành tiếng, nên ông tưởng bà đang say.
14 And he said to her Eli until when? will you be drunk! remove wine your from with you.
Ông nói: “Chị say quá rồi phải không? Đi dã rượu đi!”
15 And she answered Hannah and she said no O lord my [am] a woman hard of spirit I and wine and strong drink not I have drunk and I have poured out soul my before Yahweh.
Nàng đáp: “Thưa ông, tôi không say! Tôi không bao giờ uống rượu hay những thứ làm cho say. Nhưng tôi rất buồn và đang dốc nỗi khổ tâm của tôi ra trước Chúa Hằng Hữu.
16 May not you give maidservant your before a daughter of worthlessness for from [the] greatness of complaint my and provocation my I have spoken until now.
Xin ông đừng nghĩ tôi là một phụ nữ hư hỏng! Tôi cầu nguyện vì sầu khổ và buồn phiền quá đỗi.”
17 And he answered Eli and he said go to peace and [the] God of Israel may he grant petition your which you have asked from with him.
Hê-li nói: “Chúc chị bình an! Cầu Đức Chúa Trời của Ít-ra-ên ban cho chị những điều chị thỉnh cầu.”
18 And she said may she find maidservant your favor in view your and she went the woman to way her and she ate and face her not they were to her still.
Nàng đáp: “Xin ông đoái thương phận hèn mọn tôi.” Nói xong nàng trở về và ăn uống, và nỗi buồn được vơi đi.
19 And they rose early in the morning and they bowed down before Yahweh and they returned and they went to house their Ramah towards and he knew Elkanah Hannah wife his and he remembered her Yahweh.
Hôm sau cả gia đình dậy sớm, lên Đền Tạm thờ phụng Chúa Hằng Hữu. Xong lễ, họ trở về nhà tại Ra-ma. Ên-ca-na ăn ở với An-ne, Chúa Hằng Hữu đoái thương đến lời thỉnh cầu của nàng,
20 And it was to [the] circuit of the days and she conceived Hannah and she bore a son and she called name his Samuel for from Yahweh I asked for him.
và đến kỳ sinh nở, nàng sinh một con trai. Nàng đặt tên là Sa-mu-ên, vì nàng nói: “Tôi đã cầu xin nó nơi Chúa Hằng Hữu.”
21 And he went up the man Elkanah and all household his to sacrifice to Yahweh [the] sacrifice of the days and vow his.
Năm sau, gia đình Ên-ca-na lại lên Đền Tạm dâng lễ vật hằng năm và lễ vật khấn nguyện lên Chúa Hằng Hữu,
22 And Hannah not she went up for she said to husband her until he will be weaned the lad and I will take him and he will appear with [the] presence of Yahweh and he will dwell there until perpetuity.
Nhưng lần này An-ne không đi. Nàng nói với chồng: “Đợi đến ngày con dứt sữa, tôi sẽ đem nó lên trình diện Chúa Hằng Hữu và để nó ở luôn tại Đền Tạm.”
23 And he said to her Elkanah husband her do the good in view your remain until wean you him only may he carry out Yahweh word his and she remained the woman and she suckled son her until (had weaned she *LAH(b)*) him.
Ên-ca-na đồng ý: “Em nghĩ việc nào phải thì cứ làm. Cứ ở lại nhà, cầu xin Chúa Hằng Hữu giúp em giữ lời mình đã hứa nguyện.” Vậy, An-ne ở nhà săn sóc con, cho đến ngày nó dứt sữa.
24 And she brought up him with her just when she had weaned him with young bulls three and an ephah one of flour and a skin of wine and she took him [the] house of Yahweh Shiloh and the lad [was] a lad.
Con vừa dứt sữa, An-ne đem nó lên Đền Tạm tại Si-lô. Bà cùng chồng mang theo lễ vật gồm một con bò đực ba tuổi, một giạ bột và một bầu rượu.
25 And they slaughtered the young bull and they brought the lad to Eli.
Sau khi dâng con bò, nàng đem con đến gặp Hê-li.
26 And she said pardon me O lord my [by] [the] life of self your O lord my I [am] the woman who stood with you in this [place] to pray to Yahweh.
Nàng nói: “Thưa thầy, tôi chính là người phụ nữ trước đây đứng nơi này cầu nguyện Chúa Hằng Hữu, có ông chứng kiến.
27 Concerning the lad this I prayed and he has granted Yahweh to me petition my which I asked from with him.
Tôi đã cầu xin Chúa Hằng Hữu cho tôi một đứa con, và Ngài đã chấp nhận lời tôi cầu xin.
28 And also I I entrust him to Yahweh all the days which he has been he [is] asked by Yahweh and he bowed down there to Yahweh.
Nay, tôi xin dâng nó lên Chúa, để nó sẽ thuộc về Chúa Hằng Hữu suốt đời.” Rồi họ thờ phụng Chúa Hằng Hữu tại đó.
