1 Samuel 9
1 And he was a man (from Benjamin *Q(K)*) and name his [was] Kish [the] son of Abiel [the] son of Zeror [the] son of Becorath [the] son of Aphiah a son of a man a Jaminite a mighty [man] of wealth.
Il y avait alors un homme de la tribu de Benjamin, nommé Kich, fils d’Abïel, fils de Ceror, fils de Bekhorat, fils d’Afïah, fils d’un Benjamite; c’était un vaillant homme.
2 And to him he belonged a son and name his [was] Saul a young man and good and not a man from [the] people of Israel [was] good more than him from shoulder his and up-wards [he was] tall more than all the people.
Il avait un fils nommé Saül, jeune et beau, que nul enfant d’Israël ne surpassait en beauté, et qui dépassait de l’épaule tout le reste du peuple.
3 And they were lost the she-asses of Kish [the] father of Saul and he said Kish to Saul son his take please with you one from the young men and arise go seek the she-asses.
Un jour, les ânesses de Kich, père de Saül, s’étant égarées, Kich dit à son fils: "Fais-toi accompagner, je te prie, d’un des serviteurs, et mets-toi en route à la recherche des ânesses."
4 And he passed in [the] hill country of Ephraim and he passed in [the] land of Shalisha and not they found [them] and they passed in [the] land of Shaalim and there not and he passed in [the] land of [the] Jaminite[s] and not they found [them].
Saül parcourut la montagne d’Ephraïm, puis le pays de Chalicha, mais ils ne trouvèrent pas; puis ils parcoururent le pays de Chaalim sans succès, puis la contrée des Benjamites, sans trouver davantage.
5 They they came in [the] land of Zuph and Saul he said to servant his who [was] with him come! so let us turn back lest he should cease father my from the she-asses and he will be anxious to us.
Arrivé au pays de Çouf, Saül dit au serviteur qui l’accompagnait: "Çà, rebroussons chemin; mon père pourrait bien ne plus songer aux ânesses et s’inquiéter de nous."
6 And he said to him here! please a man of God [is] in the city this and the man [is] honored all that he speaks actually it comes now let us go there perhaps he will tell to us journey our which we have walked on it.
"Ecoute, répondit l’autre, il y a un homme de Dieu dans cette ville, c’est un personnage considérable, tout ce qu’il annonce se réalise. Allons-y donc, peut-être nous renseignera-t-il sur le chemin que nous aurions dû suivre."
7 And he said Saul to servant his and here! we will go and what? will we bring to the man for the bread it has been used up from bags our and [is] a gift there not to bring to [the] man of God what? [is] with us.
"Mais si nous y allons, dit Saül à son serviteur, que pouvons-nous apporter à cet homme? Il n’y a plus de pain dans nos bagages, plus de présent que nous puissions offrir à l’homme de Dieu; que nous reste-t-il?"
8 And he repeated the servant to answer Saul and he said here! [is] found in hand my a fourth part of a shekel of silver and I will give [it] to [the] man of God and he will tell to us journey our.
Le serviteur, répondant de nouveau à Saül, dit: "J’Ai encore par devers moi un quart de sicle d’argent; je veux le donner à l’homme de Dieu pour qu’il nous indique notre chemin."
9 Before - in Israel thus he said the man when went he to consult God come so let us go to the seer for to the prophet this day it was called before the seer.
(Autrefois, en Israël, celui qui se proposait d’aller consulter Dieu, disait: "Venez, allons trouver le Voyant"; car le prophète de nos jours s’appelait alors le voyant.)
10 And he said Saul to servant his [is] good word your come! - let us go and they went to the city where [was] there [the] man of God.
Saül dit à son serviteur: "Tu as bien parlé; viens donc, allons!" Et ils se dirigèrent vers la ville où était l’homme de Dieu.
11 They [were] going up on [the] ascent of the city and they they found young women coming out to draw water and they said to them ¿ [is] there in this [place] the seer.
Comme ils gravissaient la montée de la ville, ils rencontrèrent des jeunes filles qui en sortaient pour puiser de l’eau, et ils leurs demandèrent: "Le Voyant est-il ici?"
12 And they answered them and they said there is there! before you hurry - now for this day he has come to the city for a sacrifice this day [belongs] to the people at the high place.
"Oui, répondirent-elles, il y est! Là-bas devant toi! Mais dépêche-toi, car il est arrivé aujourd’hui dans la ville, le peuple devant faire aujourd’hui un sacrifice sur le haut-lieu.
13 When come you the city thus you will find! him before he will go up the high place towards to eat for not it will eat the people until comes he for he he will bless the sacrifice after thus they will eat those [who] were invited and now go up for him as the day you will find! him.
Aussitôt entrés dans la ville, vous le trouverez, avant qu’il monte sur le haut-lieu pour le repas; car le peuple ne se met pas à table avant qu’il soit venu, car c’est lui qui bénit le festin du sacrifice, et alors seulement les conviés mangent. Allez donc là-haut, car vous le trouverez présentement lui-même."
14 And they went up the city they [were] coming in [the] midst of the city and there! Samuel [was] coming out to meet them to go up the high place.
Ils montèrent donc à la ville; ils venaient d’y pénétrer, lorsqu’ils rencontrèrent Samuel, qui sortait pour monter sur le haut-lieu.
15 And Yahweh he had uncovered [the] ear of Samuel a day one before came Saul saying.
Or l’Eternel, un jour avant l’arrivée de Saül, s’était révélé confidentiellement à Samuel en ces termes:
16 About this time - tomorrow I will send to you a man from [the] land of Benjamin and you will anoint him to ruler over people my Israel and he will deliver people my from [the] hand of [the] Philistines for I have seen people my for it has come cry of distress its to me.
"Demain, à pareille heure, je ferai venir à toi un homme du pays de Benjamin, et tu l’oindras comme chef de mon peuple Israël; et il délivrera mon peuple de la puissance des Philistins; car j’ai jeté un regard sur mon peuple, et sa plainte est venue jusqu’à moi."
17 And Samuel he saw Saul and Yahweh he answered him here! the man whom I spoke to you this [one] he will rule over people my.
Et lorsque Samuel aperçut Saül, Dieu lui déclara: "Voici l’homme dont je t’ai parlé; c’est lui qui régnera sur mon peuple."
18 And he approached Saul Samuel in [the] middle of the gate and he said tell! please to me where? this [is] [the] house of the seer.
Saül, abordant Samuel à la porte de la ville, lui dit: "Enseigne-moi, je te prie, où est la maison du voyant"
19 And he answered Samuel Saul and he said I [am] the seer go up before me the high place and you will eat with me this day and I will send away you in the morning and all that [is] in heart your I will tell to you.
Samuel répondit à Saül: "Le voyant, c’est moi; va m’attendre sur le haut-lieu, et vous mangerez avec moi aujourd’hui; demain matin je te laisserai partir, après t’avoir appris ce que tu désires savoir.
20 And to the she-asses which were lost of you this day [the] three the days may not you set heart your to them for they have been found and [belongs] to whom? every desirable thing of Israel ¿ not to you and to all [the] house of father your.
Quant aux ânesses que tu as perdues il y a trois jours, ne t’en mets point en peine, elles sont retrouvées. Et à qui est réservé tout ce qu’il y a de précieux en Israël, si ce n’est à toi et à toute ta famille?"
21 And he answered Saul and he said ¿ not a Ben-jaminite [am] I from [the] small of [the] tribes of Israel and [is] clan? my the insignificant of all [the] clans of [the] tribes of Benjamin and why? have you spoken to me according to the manner this.
"Eh quoi! répondit Saül, ne suis-je pas de Benjamin, l’une des moindres tribus d’Israël, et ma famille n’est-elle pas la plus infime entre toutes celles de la tribu de Benjamin? Pourquoi donc me parles-tu de la sorte?"
22 And he took Samuel Saul and servant his and he brought them [the] room towards and he gave to them a place at [the] head of those [who] were invited and they [were] about thirty man.
Samuel prit Saül et son serviteur, les introduisit dans la salle du festin, et leur donna la première place parmi les conviés, qui étaient au nombre de trente environ.
23 And he said Samuel to the cook give! the portion which I gave to you which I said to you put it with you.
Et Samuel dit au cuisinier: "Donne la portion que je t’avais remise, que je t’avais dit de garder par devers toi."
24 And he lifted up the cook the thigh and the on it and he put [it] - before Saul and he said here! the [part which] remains set [it] before you eat [it] for to the appointed time [it was] kept for you saying the people - I have invited and he ate Saul with Samuel on the day that.
Le cuisinier prit l’épaule avec sa garniture et les servit à Saül, et Samuel lui dit: "Ceci est la part réservée, mets-la devant toi et mange; car elle t’a été gardée pour cette solennité, lorsque j’ai annoncé que j’invite le peuple." Saül mangea donc ce jour-là avec Samuel.
25 And they went down from the high place the city and he spoke with Saul on the roof.
Ils rentrèrent du haut-lieu dans la ville, et Samuel s’entretint avec Saül sur la plate-forme.
26 And they rose early and it was when came up the dawn and he called Samuel to Saul (the roof towards *Q(K)*) saying arise! so I may send away you and he arose Saul and they went out [the] two of them he and Samuel the outside towards.
Ils se levèrent de bonne heure, et, dès que parut le jour, Samuel appela Saül sur la plate-forme et lui dit: "Apprête-toi, que je te reconduise." Saül obéit, et ils sortirent tous deux ensemble.
27 They [were] going down at [the] edge of the city and Samuel he said to Saul say to the servant so he may pass on before us and he passed on and you remain as the day so I may make hear you [the] word of God.
Comme ils atteignaient, en descendant, l’extrémité de la ville, Samuel dit à Saül: "Dis au serviteur de nous dépasser (ce qu’il fit) et toi, reste maintenant ici, je veux te faire connaître la parole du Seigneur."
