1 Samuel 6
1 And it was [the] ark of Yahweh in [the] region of [the] Philistines seven months.
Und die Lade Jehovas war im Gefilde der Philister sieben Monate.
2 And they summoned [the] Philistines the priests and the diviners saying what? will we do to [the] ark of Yahweh make known to us how? will we send it to own place its.
Und die Philister riefen die Priester und Wahrsager und sprachen: Was sollen wir mit der Lade Jehovas tun? Tut uns kund, auf welche Weise [O. womit] wir sie an ihren Ort senden sollen.
3 And they said if [you are] about to send away [the] ark of [the] God of Israel may not you send away it empty for certainly you will send back to him a guilt offering then you will be healed and it will be known by you why? not does it turn aside hand his from you.
Und sie sprachen: Wenn ihr die Lade des Gottes Israels fortsendet, so sollt ihr sie nicht leer fortsenden, denn ihr müßt ihm jedenfalls ein Schuldopfer erstatten; alsdann werdet ihr genesen, und es wird euch kundwerden, warum seine Hand nicht von euch weicht.
4 And they said what? [is] the guilt offering which we will send back to him and they said [the] number of [the] rulers of [the] Philistines five (tumors of *Q(K)*) gold and five mice of gold for a plague one [belongs] to all of them and to rulers your.
Und sie sprachen: Welches ist das Schuldopfer, das wir ihm erstatten sollen? Und sie sprachen: Nach der Zahl der Fürsten der Philister, fünf goldene Beulen und fünf goldene Mäuse; denn einerlei Plage habt ihr [Eig. haben sie] alle und eure Fürsten.
5 And you will make images of (tumors your *Q(K)*) and images of mice your which are ruining the land and you will give to [the] God of Israel honor perhaps he will lighten hand his from with you and from on gods your and from on land your.
Und machet Bilder von euren Beulen und Bilder von euren Mäusen, die das Land verderben, und gebet dem Gott Israels Ehre; vielleicht läßt er seine Hand leichter werden über euch und über eurem Gott und über eurem Lande.
6 And why? will you harden heart your just as they hardened Egypt and Pharaoh heart their ¿ not just when he dealt wantonly with them and they sent away them and they went.
Und warum wolltet ihr euer Herz verstocken, wie die Ägypter und der Pharao ihr Herz verstockt haben? Ließen sie sie nicht ziehen, als er seine Macht an [O. unter] ihnen geübt hatte, und sie zogen weg?
7 And therefore take and make a cart new one and two cows nursing which not it has gone up on them a yoke and you will harness the cows on the cart and you will take back young ones their from after them the house towards.
Und nun machet einen neuen Wagen und nehmet zwei säugende Kühe, auf die kein Joch gekommen ist; und spannet die Kühe an den Wagen und bringet ihre Kälber hinter ihnen weg nach Hause zurück.
8 And you will take [the] ark of Yahweh and you will put it into the cart and - [the] articles of gold which you have sent back to him a guilt offering you will put in the box from side its and you will send away it and it will go.
Und nehmet die Lade Jehovas und stellet sie auf den Wagen; und die goldenen Geräte, die ihr ihm als Schuldopfer erstattet habt, tut in ein Kästlein an ihre Seite, und sendet sie, daß sie wegziehe.
9 And you will see if [the] way of own territory its it will go up Beth Shemesh he he has done to us the harm great this and if not and we will know that not hand his it touched us chance it it happened to us.
Und sehet zu: wenn sie den Weg nach ihrer Grenze hinaufgeht, nach Beth-Semes hin, so hat er uns dieses große Übel getan; wenn aber nicht, so wissen wir, daß nicht seine Hand uns geschlagen hat: ein Zufall ist es uns gewesen.
10 And they did the men thus and they took two cows nursing and they harnessed them on the cart and young ones their they shut up in the house.
Und die Männer taten also und nahmen zwei säugende Kühe und spannten sie an den Wagen, und ihre Kälber sperrten sie zu Hause ein.
11 And they put [the] ark of Yahweh into the cart and the box and [the] mice of gold and [the] images of tumors their.
Und sie stellten die Lade Jehovas auf den Wagen, und das Kästlein mit den goldenen Mäusen und den Bildern ihrer Beulen.
12 And they were straight the cows in the road on [the] road of Beth Shemesh on a highway one they went continuously and lowed and not they turned aside right [hand] and left [hand] and [the] rulers of [the] Philistines [were] going after them to [the] border of Beth Shemesh.
Und die Kühe gingen geradeaus auf dem Wege nach Beth-Semes; auf einer Straße gingen sie, im Gehen brüllend, und wichen nicht zur Rechten noch zur Linken; und die Fürsten der Philister gingen hinter ihnen her, bis an die Grenze von Beth-Semes.
13 And Beth Shemesh [were] harvesting [the] harvest of wheat in the valley and they lifted up eyes their and they saw the ark and they rejoiced to see [it].
Und die von Beth-Semes ernteten die Weizenernte in der Niederung; und als sie ihre Augen erhoben und die Lade sahen, da freuten sie sich, sie zu sehen.
14 And the cart it came to [the] field of Joshua [the] Beth Shemeshite and it stopped there and [was] there a stone large and they split [the] wood of the cart and the cows they offered up a burnt offering to Yahweh.
Und der Wagen kam auf das Feld Josuas, des Beth-Semiters, und stand daselbst still; und es war ein großer Stein daselbst. Und sie spalteten das Holz des Wagens und opferten die Kühe als Brandopfer dem Jehova.
15 And the Levites they brought down - [the] ark of Yahweh and the box which [was] with it which [were] in it [the] articles of gold and they put [them] to the stone large and [the] people of Beth Shemesh they offered up burnt offerings and they sacrificed sacrifices on the day that to Yahweh.
Und die Leviten nahmen die Lade Jehovas herab und das Kästlein, das bei ihr war, in welchem die goldenen Geräte waren, und setzten sie auf den großen Stein. Und die Männer von Beth-Semes opferten Brandopfer und schlachteten Schlachtopfer an jenem Tage dem Jehova.
16 And five [the] rulers of [the] Philistines they saw and they went back Ekron on the day that.
Und die fünf Fürsten der Philister sahen zu und kehrten an jenem Tage nach Ekron zurück.
17 And these [are] [the] tumors of gold which they sent back [the] Philistines a guilt offering to Yahweh for Ashdod one for Gaza one for Ashkelon one for Gath one for Ekron one.
Und dies sind die goldenen Beulen, welche die Philister Jehova als Schuldopfer erstatteten: Für Asdod eine, für Gasa eine, für Askelon eine, für Gath eine, für Ekron eine;
18 And [the] mice of gold [the] number of all [the] cities of [the] Philistines of [the] five the rulers from a city of fortification and unto village[s] of the hamlet-dweller[s] and to - Abel the great which they set down on it [the] ark of Yahweh until the day this in [the] field of Joshua [the] Beth Shemeshite.
und die goldenen Mäuse nach der Zahl aller Städte der Philister, nach den fünf Fürsten, [O. die den fünf Fürsten gehörten] von den festen Städten bis zu den offenen Dörfern; [Eig. den Dörfern des platten Landes] und sie brachten sie bis zu dem großen Stein Abel, [And. l.: Dörfern; und Zeuge ist der große Stein] auf welchen sie die Lade Jehovas niedersetzten, der bis auf diesen Tag im Felde Josuas, des Beth-Semiters, ist.
19 And he struck down among [the] people of Beth Shemesh for they had looked in [the] ark of Yahweh and he struck down among the people seventy man fifty thousand man and they mourned the people for he had struck Yahweh the people a blow (great *LB(ah)*)
Und er schlug unter den Leuten von Beth-Semes, weil sie in die Lade Jehovas geschaut hatten, und schlug unter dem Volke siebzig Mann; [Im hebr. Text steht noch: fünfzigtausend Mann. Wahrscheinlich eine aus Versehen in den Text aufgenommene Randbemerkung] da trauerte das Volk, weil Jehova eine so große Niederlage unter dem Volke angerichtet hatte;
20 and they said [the] people of Beth Shemesh who? is he able to stand before Yahweh the God holy this and to whom? will it go up from with us.
und die Leute von Beth-Semes sprachen: Wer vermag vor Jehova, diesem heiligen Gott, zu bestehen? und zu wem soll er von uns hinaufziehen?
21 And they sent messengers to [the] inhabitants of Kiriath Jearim saying they have brought back [the] Philistines [the] ark of Yahweh come down take up it to you.
Und sie sandten Boten zu den Bewohnern von Kirjath-Jearim und sprachen: Die Philister haben die Lade Jehovas zurückgebracht; kommet herab, führet sie zu euch hinauf.
