1 Samuel 3

1 And the lad Samuel [was] serving Yahweh before Eli and [the] word of Yahweh it was rare in the days those not vision [was] spread out.

در آن روزهایی که سموئیلِ کوچک زیر نظر عیلی، خداوند را خدمت می‌کرد، از جانب خداوند به ندرت پیغامی می‌رسید و رویا نایاب بود.

2 And it was on the day that and Eli [was] lying in place his (and eyes his *Q(K)*) they began dim not he was able to see.

یک شب عیلی که چشمانش به سبب پیری تار شده بود، در جای خود خوابیده بود.

3 And [the] lamp of God not yet it was extinguished and Samuel [was] lying in [the] temple of Yahweh where [was] there [the] ark of God.

چراغ خدا هنوز خاموش نشده بود و سموئیل هم در خیمۀ خداوند که صندوق عهد خدا در آن قرار داشت، خوابیده بود.

4 And he called Yahweh to Samuel and he said here [am] I.

در آن هنگام خداوند سموئیل را خواند و سموئیل در جواب گفت: «بله، گوش به فرمانم!»

5 And he ran to Eli and he said here [am] I for you summoned me and he said not I summoned return lie down and he went and he lay down.

و از جا برخاسته، نزد عیلی شتافت و گفت: «چه فرمایشی دارید؟ در خدمتگزاری حاضرم.» عیلی گفت: «من تو را نخواندم؛ برو بخواب!» او رفت و خوابید.

6 And he repeated Yahweh to call again Samuel and he rose Samuel and he went to Eli and he said here [am] I for you summoned me and he said not I summoned O son my return lie down.

بار دیگر خداوند سموئیل را خواند. این دفعه نیز او برخاست و نزد عیلی شتافت و بازگفت: «چه فرمایشی دارید؟ در خدمتگزاری حاضرم.» عیلی گفت: «پسرم، من تو را نخواندم؛ برو بخواب!»

7 And Samuel not yet he knew Yahweh and not yet it was revealed to him [the] word of Yahweh.

سموئیل هنوز خداوند را نمی‌شناخت زیرا هرگز از خداوند پیامی دریافت نکرده بود.

8 And he repeated Yahweh to call Samuel at the third [time] and he rose and he went to Eli and he said here [am] I for you summoned me and he understood Eli that Yahweh [was] summoning the lad.

خداوند برای سومین بار سموئیل را خواند و او چون دفعات پیش برخاسته، نزد عیلی رفت و بازگفت: «چه فرمایشی دارید؟ در خدمتگزاری حاضرم.» آنگاه عیلی دریافت که این خداوند است که سموئیل را می‌خواند.

9 And he said Eli to Samuel go lie down and it will be that [if] he will call to you and you will say speak O Yahweh for [is] listening servant your and he went Samuel and he lay down in place his.

پس به او گفت: «برو بخواب! اگر این بار تو را بخواند بگو: خداوندا بفرما، خدمتگزارت گوش به فرمان تو است.» پس سموئیل رفت و خوابید.

10 And he came Yahweh and he stood and he called as time on time O Samuel - O Samuel and he said Samuel speak for [is] listening servant your.

باز خداوند آمده، سموئیل را مانند دفعات پیش خواند: «سموئیل! سموئیل!» و سموئیل گفت: «بفرما، خدمتگزارت گوش به فرمان توست.»

11 And he said Yahweh to Samuel here! I [am] about to do a thing in Israel which every [one who] hears it they will tingle [the] two ears his.

خداوند به او فرمود: «من در اسرائیل کاری انجام خواهم داد که مردم از شنیدنش به خود بلرزند.

12 On the day that I will carry out against Eli all that I have spoken against house his beginning and ending.

آن بلاهایی را که دربارهٔ خاندان عیلی گفتم بر او نازل خواهم کرد.

13 And I tell to him that [am] about to judge I house his until perpetuity for [the] iniquity which he knew that [were] bringing a curse to themselves sons his and not he rebuked them.

به او گفته‌ام که تا ابد خانوادهٔ او را مجازات می‌کنم، چونکه پسرانش نسبت به من گناه می‌ورزند و او با اینکه از گناه ایشان آگاه است آنها را از این کار باز نمی‌دارد.

14 And therefore I swear to [the] house of Eli if it will be atoned for [the] iniquity of [the] house of Eli by sacrifice and by an offering until perpetuity.

پس قسم خوردم که حتی قربانی و هدیه نمی‌توانند گناه خاندان عیلی را کفاره کنند.»

15 And he lay Samuel until the morning and he opened [the] doors of [the] house of Yahweh and Samuel he was afraid from telling the vision to Eli.

سموئیل تا صبح خوابید. بعد برخاسته، طبق معمول درهای خانهٔ خداوند را باز کرد. او می‌ترسید آنچه را که خداوند به وی گفته بود، برای عیلی بازگو نماید.

16 And he called Eli Samuel and he said O Samuel son my and he said here [am] I.

اما عیلی او را خوانده، گفت: «پسرم، خداوند به تو چه گفت؟ همه چیز را برای من تعریف کن. اگر چیزی از من پنهان کنی خدا تو را تنبیه نماید!»

17 And he said what? [was] the word which he spoke to you may not please you hide [it] from me thus may he do to you God and thus may he add if you will hide from me a word from all the word which he spoke to you.

18 And he told to him Samuel all the words and not he hid [them] from him and he said [is] Yahweh he the good (in eyes his *Q(K)*) let him do.

پس سموئیل تمام آنچه را که خداوند به او گفته بود، برای عیلی بیان کرد. عیلی گفت: «این خواست خداوند است. بگذار آنچه در نظر وی پسند آید انجام دهد.»

19 And he grew up Samuel and Yahweh he was with him and not he made fall any of all words his [the] ground towards.

سموئیل بزرگ می‌شد و خداوند با او بود و نمی‌گذاشت هیچ‌یک از سخنانش بر زمین بیفتد.

20 And it knew all Israel from Dan and to Beer Sheba that [was being] established Samuel to a prophet of Yahweh.

همهٔ مردم اسرائیل از دان تا بئرشبع می‌دانستند که سموئیل از جانب خداوند برگزیده شده است تا نبی او باشد.

21 And he repeated Yahweh to appear at Shiloh for he revealed himself Yahweh to Samuel at Shiloh by [the] word of Yahweh.

خداوند در خیمهٔ عبادت واقع در شیلوه به سموئیل پیام می‌داد و او نیز آن را برای قوم اسرائیل بازگو می‌کرد.
