< 1 Samuel 27 >
1 And he said David to heart his now I will be swept away a day one by [the] hand of Saul not [belongs] to me good for really I will escape - to [the] land of [the] Philistines and he will desist from me Saul to seek me again in all [the] territory of Israel and I will be delivered from hand his.

2 And he arose David and he passed over he and six hundred man who [were] with him to Achish [the] son of Maoch [the] king of Gath.
Te phoeiah David te thoo tih, a taengkah hlang ya rhuk neh Gath manghai Maoch capa Akhish te a paan.
3 And he dwelt David with Achish in Gath he and men his each one and household his David and [the] two wives his Ahinoam the Jezreelite [woman] and Abigail [the] wife of Nabal the Carmelite [woman].
David amah neh a hlang rhoek khaw, a hlang kah a imkhui khaw, David neh a yuu rhoi Jezreel nu Ahinoam, Karmel Nabal yuu Abigal khaw, Gath kah Akhish taengah kho a sak.
4 And it was told to Saul that he had fled David Gath and not (he repeated *Q(K)*) again to seek him.
Gath la David a yong te Saul taengla a puen pah ngawn dae David tlap koep ham te khoep rhoe khoep voel pawh.
5 And he said David to Achish if please I have found favor in view your let people give to me a place in one of [the] cities of the field so I may dwell there and why? will he dwell servant your in [the] city of royalty with you.
Te vaengah David loh Akhish taengah, “Na mikhmuh ah mikdaithen ni ka dang atah, khohmuen kah khopuei pakhat ah kai he hmuen m'pae mai lamtah pahoi ka om mai eh. Ram kah khopuei khuiah na sal loh namah taengah kho a sak te ba ham lae?” a ti nah.
6 And he gave to him Achish on the day that Ziklag therefore it has belonged Ziklag to [the] kings of Judah until the day this.
Tekah khohnin ah anih te Akhish loh Ziklag kho te a paek. Te dongah Ziklag he tihnin hil Judah manghai rhoek kah la om.
7 And it was [the] number of the days which he dwelt David in [the] region of [the] Philistines days and four months.
David loh Philisti khohmuen ah kho a sak te a khohnin khaw amah tarhing atah kum at neh hla li lo coeng.
8 And he went up David and men his and they made raids against the Geshurite[s] (and the Gizrite[s] *Q(K)*) and the Amalekite[s] for they [were] dwelling the land which [is] from antiquity coming you Shur towards and to [the] land of Egypt.
Te vaengah David neh a hlang rhoek loh cet uh tih Geshuri neh Gezari te a cuuk thil uh. Tedae te khohmuen kah khosa rhoek Gezari neh Amalek rhoek tah khosuen lamloh Shur neh Egypt kho duela na paan tangtae ni.
9 And he struck David the land and not he let live a man and a woman and he took sheep and cattle and donkeys and camels and clothes and he returned and he went to Achish.
Khohmuen te David loh a ngawn tih huta khaw tongpa khaw hing sak pawh. Tedae boiva, saelhung, laak, kalauk neh himbai te a loh tih a mael daengah Akhish te a paan.
10 And he said Achish against [where] did you make a raid this day and he said David on [the] Negev of Judah and on [the] Negev of the Jerahmeelite[s] and against [the] Negev of the Kenite[s].
Te vaengah Akhish loh, “Tihnin atah na muk mahpawt a?” a ti nah hatah David loh, “Judah tuithim neh Jerahmeli tuithim, Keni tuithim a?” a ti nah.
11 And a man and a woman not he let live David to bring Gath saying lest they should tell on us saying thus he has done David and [is] thus practice his all the days which he has dwelt in [the] region of [the] Philistines.
Tedae David kah a saii neh a thui soah, “Kaimih kawng he Gath la a khuen vetih puen ve,” a ti dongah David loh huta khaw tongpa khaw hlun pawh. Tekah khosing nen ni Philisti kho kah a om tue khuiah kho a sak.
12 And he trusted Achish in David saying certainly he has become odious among people his among Israel and he will become of me a servant of perpetuity.
Te vaengah Akhish loh David te a tangnah tih, “A pilnam Israel taengah a bo rhim la rhim coeng tih kamah taengah kumhal sal la om saeh,” a ti.
