1 Samuel 23
1 And people told to David saying there! [the] Philistines [are] fighting against Keilah and they [are] plundering the threshing floors.
Et des gens vinrent dire à David: Voilà que les Philistins assiègent Ceïla; ils ravagent tout, et ils foulent aux pieds les aires.
2 And he enquired David by Yahweh saying ¿ will I go and will I strike? the Philistines these. And he said Yahweh to David go and you will strike the Philistines and you will deliver Keilah.
Et David consulta le Seigneur, disant: Me mettrai-je en campagne? Serai- je victorieux contre les Philistins? Le Seigneur répondit: Marche, tu vaincras les Philistins, et tu délivreras Cella.
3 And they said [the] men of David to him here! we here in Judah [are] fearful and indeed? if we will go Keilah against [the] battle lines of [the] Philistines.
Mais ses hommes lui dirent: Vois donc; ici même, en Juda, nous ne sommes point sans crainte; que sera-ce si nous marchons sur Cella, et si nous nous mesurons avec les forces des Philistins?
4 And he repeated again David to enquire by Yahweh. And he answered him Yahweh and he said arise go down Keilah for I [am] about to give [the] Philistines in hand your.
Et David consulta une seconde fois le Seigneur, et le Seigneur lui répondit: Pars, et marche sur Cella, car je te livrerai les Philistins.
5 And he went David (and men his *Q(K)*) Keilah and he fought against the Philistines and he drove away livestock their and he defeated them a defeat great and he delivered David [the] inhabitants of Keilah.
Et David, avec ses hommes, marcha sur Cella; il combattit les Philistins, qui s'enfuirent de devant sa face; il enleva leur bétail; il les frappa d'une grande plaie, et les habitants de Cella furent sauvés.
6 And it was when fled Abiathar [the] son of Ahimelech to David Keilah an ephod it came down in hand his.
Or, Abiathar, fils d'Abimélech, après s'être réfugié auprès de David, le suivit à Cella, tenant en sa main l'éphod.
7 And it was told to Saul that he had gone David Keilah and he said Saul he has alienated him God in hand my for he has shut himself up by going in a city of doors and bar[s].
On apprit à Saül que David était entré à Cella, et Saül dit: Dieu l'a livré à mes mains; il s'est lui-même enfermé, puisqu'il est entré dans une ville où il y a des portes et des barrières.
8 And he summoned Saul all the people for battle to go down Keilah to lay siege against David and against men his.
Alors, Saül enjoignit à tout le peuple de descendre sur Cella pour y assièger David et les siens.
9 And he knew David that on him Saul [was] plotting evil and he said to Abiathar the priest bring near! the ephod.
Et David sut que Saül ne cachait pas ses mauvais desseins contre lui; et David dit à Abiathar le prêtre: Apporte l'éphod du Seigneur.
10 And he said David O Yahweh [the] God of Israel certainly he has heard servant your that [is] seeking Saul to come to Keilah to destroy the city because of me.
Et David dit: Seigneur Dieu d'Israël, votre serviteur a ouï dire que Saül désire marcher sur Ceïla, et détruire à cause de moi cette ville.
11 ¿ Will they deliver up me [the] citizens of Keilah in hand his ¿ will he come down Saul just as he has heard servant your O Yahweh [the] God of Israel tell please to servant your. And he said Yahweh he will come down.
Sera-t-elle investie? Saül y viendra-t-il, comme l'a ouï dire votre serviteur? Seigneur Dieu d'Israël, faites-le savoir à votre serviteur. Et le Seigneur répondit: Elle sera investie.
12 And he said David ¿ will they deliver up [the] citizens of Keilah me and men my in [the] hand of Saul and he said Yahweh they will deliver [you] up.
Sera-t-elle investie? Saül y viendra-t-il, comme l'a ouï dire votre serviteur? Seigneur Dieu d'Israël, faites-le savoir à votre serviteur. Et le Seigneur répondit: Elle sera investie.
13 And he arose David and men his about six hundred man and they went out from Keilah and they went about at where they went about and to Saul it was told that he had escaped David from Keilah and he ceased to go forth.
Et David se leva avec ses hommes au nombre de quatre cents; ils sortirent de Ceïla, et ils marchèrent tant qu'ils purent aller. On apprit à Saül que David s'était échappé de Cella, et il ne songea plus à l'assièger.
14 And he dwelt David in the wilderness in the strongholds and he dwelt in the hill country in [the] wilderness of Ziph and he sought him Saul all the days and not he gave him God in hand his.
Et David campa à Massera dans le désert; il campa dans le désert sur la montagne de Ziph, en la terre aride, et Saül le cherchait tous les jours, et le Seigneur ne le livrait pas à ses mains.
15 And he saw David that he had come forth Saul to seek life his and David [was] in [the] wilderness of Ziph at Horesh.
Et David s'aperçut que Saül était venu le chercher; à ce moment, David était sur la montagne aride, en la nouvelle Ziph.
16 And he arose Jonathan [the] son of Saul and he went to David Horesh and he strengthened hand his in God.
Jonathan, fils de Saül, l'y alla trouver, et il le fortifia en Dieu,
17 And he said to him may not you be afraid for not it will find you [the] hand of Saul father my and you you will reign over Israel and I I will become to you second in rank and also Saul father my [is] knowing [it is] thus.
Et il lui dit: N'aie point crainte, la troupe de mon père ne te trouvera pas; tu règneras sur Israël, et je serai ton second; Saül, mon père, le sait.
18 And they made [the] two of them a covenant before Yahweh and he remained David at Horesh and Jonathan he went to house his.
Ainsi, tous les deux firent alliance devant le Seigneur; puis, David resta en la Ville-Neuve, et Jonathan retourna chez lui.
19 And they went up Ziphites to Saul Gibeah towards saying ¿ not [is] David hiding himself with us in the strongholds at Horesh on [the] hill of Hakilah which [is] from [the] south of Jeshimon.
Et des Ziphéens montèrent de la terre aride à la colline où était Saül, et ils lui dirent: Ne sais-tu pas que David est chez nous caché à Massera, dans les défilés et en la Ville-Neuve, sur la colline d'Echéla, qui est à droite de Jessème?
20 And now to all [the] desire of self your O king to come down come down and [belongs] to us to deliver up him in [the] hand of the king.
Maintenant donc que tout va au gré des désirs du roi, qu'il descende avec nous; il est enfermé entre les mains du roi.
21 And he said Saul [be] blessed you by Yahweh for you have had compassion on me.
Et Saül leur dit: Soyez bénis au nom du Seigneur, parce que vous avez eu souci de moi.
22 Go please prepare still and know and see place his where it is foot his who? has he seen him there for someone has said to me certainly he is crafty he.
Partez, et faites de nouveaux apprêts; suivez ses pas dès qu'il ira quelque part, dans l'endroit que vous dites, de peur qu'il n'use de stratagème.
23 And see and know from all the hiding places where he hides himself there and you will return to me to a certain [thing] and I will go with you and it will be if there he [is] in the land and I will search out him among all [the] thousands of Judah.
Voyez, informez-vous, je vous suivrai; et, s'il est en cette contrée, je le chercherai avec les myriades des fils de Juda.
24 And they arose and they went Ziph towards before Saul and David and men his [were] in [the] wilderness of Maon in the Arabah to [the] south of Jeshimon.
Les Ziphéens s'éloignèrent, et ils précédèrent Saül. David et ses gens étaient dans le désert de Maon, au couchant, à la droite de Jessème.
25 And he went Saul and men his to seek [him] and people told to David and he went down the rock and he remained in [the] wilderness of Maon and he heard Saul and he pursued after David [the] wilderness of Maon.
Saül et les siens l'y allèrent chercher; mais David en fut averti, et il descendit dans les rochers du désert de Maon; et Saül, le sachant, poursuivit David dans le désert de Maon.
26 And he went Saul from [the] side of the mountain from this and David and men his [were] from [the] side of the mountain from this and he was David hurrying away to go from before Saul and Saul and men his [were] surrounding David and men his to catch them.
Or, Saül et ses hommes cheminaient sur l'un des flancs de la montagne, et David et ses hommes sur l'autre flanc, celui-ci s'efforçant de se cacher de l'autre, qui, avec les siens, campait près de lui et de sa troupe, afin de les prendre;
27 And a messenger he came to Saul saying make haste! and come! for they have made a raid [the] Philistines on the land.
Quand un messager vint à Saül, disant: Hâte-toi, accours, les Philistins ont envahi notre territoire.
28 And he turned back Saul from pursuing after David and he went to meet [the] Philistines there-fore people called the place that Sela Hammahlekoth.
Saül s'en retourna donc; il cessa de poursuivre David, et il marcha contre les Philistins. A cause de cela, ce lieu s'appelle la Roche de la Séparation.
29 And he went up David from there and he dwelt in [the] strongholds of En Gedi.
David partit de là, et il campa dans les défilés d'Engaddi.
