1 Samuel 22

1 And he went David from there and he escaped to [the] cave of Adullam and they heard brothers his and all [the] household of father his and they went down to him there towards.

Ανεχώρησε δε ο Δαβίδ εκείθεν και διεσώθη εις το σπήλαιον Οδολλάμ· και ότε ήκουσαν οι αδελφοί αυτού και πας ο οίκος του πατρός αυτού, κατέβησαν εκεί προς αυτόν.

2 And they gathered together to him every man of distress and every man whom [belonged] to him a creditor and every man bitter of soul and he became over them a commander and they were with him about four hundred man.

Και συνηθροίσθησαν προς αυτόν, πας όστις ήτο εν στενοχωρία και πας χρεωφειλέτης και πας δυσηρεστημένος· και έγεινεν αρχηγός επ' αυτών· και ήσαν μετ' αυτού έως τετρακόσιοι άνδρες.

3 And he went David from there Mizpah of Moab and he said - to [the] king of Moab let him go out please father my and mother my with you until that I will know what? will he do for me God.

Και ανεχώρησεν ο Δαβίδ εκείθεν εις Μισπά της Μωάβ· και είπε προς τον βασιλέα Μωάβ, Ας έλθωσι, παρακαλώ, ο πατήρ μου και η μήτηρ μου προς εσάς, εωσού γνωρίσω τι θέλει κάμει ο Θεός εις εμέ.

4 And he led them with [the] presence of [the] king of Moab and they remained with him all [the] days of [the] being of David in the stronghold.

Και έφερεν αυτούς ενώπιον του βασιλέως Μωάβ και κατώκησαν μετ' αυτού όλον τον καιρόν καθ' ον ο Δαβίδ ήτο εν τω οχυρώματι.

5 And he said Gad the prophet to David not you must remain in the stronghold go and you will go for yourself [the] land of Judah and he went David and he came [the] forest of Hereth.

Είπε δε Γαδ ο προφήτης προς τον Δαβίδ, Μη μένης εν τω οχυρώματι· αναχώρησον και είσελθε εις την γην Ιούδα. Τότε ανεχώρησεν ο Δαβίδ και εισήλθεν εις το δάσος Αρέθ.

6 And he heard Saul that he was known David and [the] men who [were] with him and Saul [was] sitting at Gibeah under the tamarisk tree at the high place and spear his [was] in hand his and all servants his [were] standing with him.

Ακούσας δε ο Σαούλ ότι εφανερώθη ο Δαβίδ και οι άνδρες οι μετ' αυτού εκάθητο δε ο Σαούλ εν Γαβαά υπό το δένδρον εν Ραμά, έχων το δόρυ αυτού εν τη χειρί αυτού, και πάντες οι δούλοι αυτού ίσταντο ενώπιον αυτού,

7 And he said Saul to servants his who were standing with him listen please O Ben-jaminites also? to all of you will he give [the] son of Jesse fields and vineyards all of you will he appoint commanders of thousands and commanders of hundreds.

τότε είπεν ο Σαούλ προς τους δούλους αυτού τους παρεστώτας ενώπιον αυτού, Ακούσατε τώρα, Βενιαμίται· μήπως εις όλους σας θέλει δώσει ο υιός του Ιεσσαί αγρούς και αμπελώνας, και όλους σας θέλει κάμει χιλιάρχους και εκατοντάρχους,

8 For you have conspired all of you on me and there not [is one who] opens ear my when made son my with [the] son of Jesse and not [was] feeling pain any of you on me and opening ear my that he has raised up son my servant my on me to an ambusher as the day this.

ώστε σεις να συνομόσητε πάντες εναντίον μου και να μη ήναι μηδείς όστις να απαγγείλη εις εμέ ότι ο υιός μου έκαμε συνθήκην μετά του υιού του Ιεσσαί, και μηδείς από σας να μη ήναι όστις να πονή δι' εμέ ή να απαγγείλη εις εμέ ότι ο υιός μου διήγειρε τον δούλον μου εναντίον μου, διά να ενεδρεύη καθώς την σήμερον;

9 And he answered Doeg the Edomite and he [was] standing with [the] servants of Saul and he said I saw [the] son of Jesse coming Nob towards to Ahimelech [the] son of Ahitub.

Και απεκρίθη Δωήκ ο Ιδουμαίος, όστις ήτο διωρισμένος επί τους δούλους του Σαούλ, και είπεν, Είδον τον υιόν του Ιεσσαί ελθόντα εις Νωβ, προς Αχιμέλεχ τον υιόν του Αχιτώβ·

10 And he enquired for him by Yahweh and food he gave to him and [the] sword of Goliath the Philistine he gave to him.

όστις ηρώτησε περί αυτού τον Κύριον, και τροφάς έδωκεν εις αυτόν, και την ρομφαίαν Γολιάθ του Φιλισταίου έδωκεν εις αυτόν.

11 And he sent the king to summon Ahimelech [the] son of Ahitub the priest and all [the] house of father his the priests who [were] at Nob and they came all of them to the king.

Τότε απέστειλεν ο βασιλεύς να καλέσωσιν Αχιμέλεχ τον υιόν του Αχιτώβ, τον ιερέα, και πάντα τον οίκον του πατρός αυτού, τους ιερείς τους εν Νώβ· και ήλθον πάντες προς τον βασιλέα.

12 And he said Saul listen please O son of Ahitub and he said here [am] I O lord my.

Και είπεν ο Σαούλ, Άκουσον τώρα, υιέ του Αχιτώβ. Ο δε απεκρίθη, Ιδού εγώ, κύριέ μου.

13 And he said (to him *Q(k)*) Saul why? have you conspired on me you and [the] son of Jesse when giving you to him bread and a sword and [you] enquired for him by God to rise up against me to an ambusher as the day this.

Και είπε προς αυτόν ο Σαούλ, Διά τι συνωμόσατε εναντίον μου, συ και ο υιός του Ιεσσαί, ώστε να δώσης εις αυτόν άρτον και ρομφαίαν και να ερωτήσης τον Θεόν περί αυτού, ώστε να σηκωθή εναντίον μου, να ενεδρεύη, καθώς την σήμερον;

14 And he answered Ahimelech the king and he said and who? among all servants your [is] like David faithful and [the] son-in-law of the king and [one who] turns aside to bodyguard your and honored in household your.

Και απεκρίθη ο Αχιμέλεχ προς τον βασιλέα και είπε, Και τις μεταξύ πάντων των δούλων σου είναι καθώς ο Δαβίδ πιστός, και γαμβρός του βασιλέως και πορευόμενος εις το πρόσταγμά σου και τιμώμενος εν τω οίκω σου;

15 This day did I begin? (to enquire *Q(k)*) for him by God far be it to me may not he put the king against servant his anything against all [the] house of father my for not he knew servant your in all this anything small or great.

σήμερον ήρχισα να ερωτώ τον Θεόν περί αυτού; μη γένοιτο· ας μη αναθέση ο βασιλεύς μηδέν επί τον δούλον αυτού μηδέ επί πάντα τον οίκον του πατρός μου· διότι ο δούλός σου δεν εξεύρει ουδέν περί πάντων τούτων, ούτε μικρόν ούτε μέγα.

16 And he said the king certainly you will die O Ahimelech you and all [the] house of father your.

Και είπεν ο βασιλεύς, Εξάπαντος θέλεις αποθάνει, Αχιμέλεχ, συ και πας ο οίκος του πατρός σου.

17 And he said the king to the runners who were standing with him turn round and put to death - [the] priests of Yahweh for also hand their [is] with David and for they knew that [was] fleeing he and not they uncovered (ear my *Q(K)*) and not they were willing [the] servants of the king to stretch out hand their to fall on [the] priests of Yahweh.

Και είπεν ο βασιλεύς προς τους δορυφόρους τους περιεστώτας εις αυτόν, Στρέψατε και θανατώσατε τους ιερείς του Κυρίου· επειδή έχουσι και αυτοί την χείρα αυτών μετά του Δαβίδ, και επειδή εγνώρισαν ότι αυτός έφευγε και δεν μοι απήγγειλαν τούτο. Δεν ηθέλησαν όμως οι δούλοι του βασιλέως να εκτείνωσι τας χείρας αυτών διά να πέσωσιν επί τους ιερείς του Κυρίου.

18 And he said the king (to Doeg *Q(k)*) turn round you and fall on the priests and he turned round (Doeg *Q(k)*) the Edomite and he fell he on the priests and he killed - on the day that eighty and five man [who] carried an ephod of linen.

Και είπεν ο βασιλεύς προς τον Δωήκ, Στρέψον συ και πέσον επί τους ιερείς. Και έστρεψε Δωήκ ο Ιδουμαίος και έπεσεν επί τους ιερείς, και εθανάτωσεν εκείνην την ημέραν ογδοήκοντα πέντε άνδρας φορούντας λινούν εφόδ.

19 And Nob [the] city of the priests he struck to [the] mouth of [the] sword from man and unto woman from child and unto suckling-child and ox[en] and donkey[s] and sheep to [the] mouth of [the] sword.

Και την Νωβ, την πόλιν των ιερέων, επάταξεν εν στόματι μαχαίρας, άνδρας και γυναίκας, παιδία και βρέφη θηλάζοντα, και βόας και όνους και πρόβατα, εν στόματι μαχαίρας.

20 And he escaped a son one of Ahimelech [the] son of Ahitub and name his [was] Abiathar and he fled after David.

Διεσώθη δε εις εκ των υιών του Αχιμέλεχ υιού του Αχιτώβ, ονόματι Αβιάθαρ, και έφυγε κατόπιν του Δαβίδ.

21 And he told Abiathar to David that he had killed Saul [the] priests of Yahweh.

Και απήγγειλεν ο Αβιάθαρ προς τον Δαβίδ, ότι εθανάτωσεν ο Σαούλ τους ιερείς του Κυρίου.

22 And he said David to Abiathar I knew on the day that that [was] there (Doeg *Q(k)*) the Edomite that certainly he will tell to Saul I I have turned in every life of [the] house of father your.

Και είπεν ο Δαβίδ προς τον Αβιάθαρ, Ήξευρον εν εκείνη τη ημέρα, καθ' ην Δωήκ ο Ιδουμαίος ήτο εκεί, ότι ήθελε βεβαίως απαγγείλει προς τον Σαούλ· εγώ εστάθην αιτία του θανάτου πάντων των ανθρώπων του οίκου του πατρός σου·

23 Remain! with me may not you be afraid for [the one] who he seeks life my he seeks life your for [are] in good care you with me.

κάθου μετ' εμού, μη φοβού· διότι ο ζητών την ζωήν μου ζητεί και την ζωήν σου· πλην συ θέλεις είσθαι μετ' εμού εν ασφαλεία.
