1 Samuel 20
1 And he fled David (from Naioth *Q(k)*) in Ramah and he went and he said - before Jonathan what? have I done what? [is] iniquity my and what? [is] sin my before father your that [is] seeking life my.
David corrió desde Naiot en Ramá hasta donde estaba Jonatán y le preguntó: “¿Qué he hecho? ¿Qué mal he hecho? ¿Qué cosa terrible le he hecho a tu padre para que quiera matarme?”
2 And he said to him far be it not you will die here! (not he does *Q(K)*) father my anything great or anything small and not he uncovers ear my and why? will he hide father my from me the thing this there not [is] this.
“¡Nada!” Respondió Jonatán. “¡No vas a morir! ¡Escucha! Mi padre me cuenta todo lo que planea, sea lo que sea. ¿Por qué iba mi padre a ocultarme algo así? No es cierto”.
3 And he swore an oath again David and he said certainly he knows father your that I have found favor in view your and he has said may not he know this Jonathan lest he should be grieved and but [by] [the] life of Yahweh and [by] [the] life of self your for about a step between me and between death.
Pero David volvió a jurar: “Tu padre sabe muy bien que soy tu amigo, y por eso seguro ha pensado: ‘Jonatán no puede enterarse de esto, porque si no se enfadará mucho’. Te juro por la vida del Señor, y por tu propia vida, que mi vida pende de un hilo”.
4 And he said Jonathan to David whatever it will say self your so I may do for you.
“Dime qué quieres que haga por ti y lo haré”, le dijo Jonatán a David.
5 And he said David to Jonathan here! a new moon [will be] tomorrow and I certainly I will sit with the king to eat and you will let go me and I will hide myself in the field until the evening third.
“Bueno, la fiesta de la Luna Nueva es mañana, y tengo que sentarme a comer con el rey. Pero si te parece bien, pienso ir a esconderme en el campo hasta la noche de dentro de tres días.
6 Certainly [if] he will miss me father your and you will say certainly he asked for himself from me David to run Beth-lehem city his for [the] sacrifice of the days [is] there for all the clan.
Si tu padre me echa de menos, dile: ‘David ha tenido que pedirme urgentemente permiso para bajar a Belén, su ciudad natal, a causa de un sacrificio anual que se celebra allí para todo su grupo familiar’.
7 If thus he will say good safety [belongs] to servant your and if certainly it will burn to him know that it has been determined harm from with him.
Si dice: ‘Está bien’, entonces no hay problema para mí, tu siervo, pero si se enfada, sabrás que pretende hacerme daño.
8 And you will do covenant loyalty towards servant your for in [the] covenant of Yahweh you have brought servant your with you and if there in me [is] iniquity put to death me you and to father your why? this will you bring me.
Así que, por favor, trátame bien, como prometiste cuando hiciste un acuerdo conmigo ante el Señor. Si he hecho mal, ¡mátame tú mismo! ¿Por qué me llevas a tu padre para que lo haga?”
9 And he said Jonathan far be it to you that - if ever I will know that it has been determined harm from with father my to come on you and not it will I tell to you.
“¡De ninguna manera!” respondió Jonatán. “Si supiera con certeza que mi padre tiene planes para hacerte daño, ¿no crees que te lo diría?”
10 And he said David to Jonathan who? will he tell to me or what? will he answer you father your hard.
“Entonces, ¿quién me va a avisar si tu padre te da una respuesta desagradable?” preguntó David.
11 And he said Jonathan to David come! so we may go out the field and they went out [the] two of them the field.
“Vamos, salgamos al campo”, dijo Jonatán. Así que ambos salieron al campo.
12 And he said Jonathan to David Yahweh [the] God of Israel that I will sound out father my about this time - tomorrow the third and there! good [is] to David and not? then will I send to you and I will uncover ear your.
Jonatán le dijo a David: “Te prometo por el Señor, el Dios de Israel, que mañana a esta hora o pasado mañana interrogaré a mi padre. Si las cosas se ven bien para ti, te enviaré un mensaje y te lo haré saber.
13 Thus may he do Yahweh to Jonathan and thus may he add if it will make good to father my harm on you and I will uncover ear your and I will send away you and you will go to peace and may he be Yahweh with you just as he has been with father my.
Pero si mi padre planea hacerte daño, que el Señor me castigue muy severamente, si no te lo hago saber enviándote un mensaje para que puedas salir a salvo. Que el Señor esté contigo, como lo estuvo con mi padre.
14 And not if still I [am] alive and not you will do with me [the] covenant loyalty of Yahweh and not I will die.
Mientras viva, por favor, demuéstrame un amor digno de confianza como el del Señor para que no muera,
15 And not you must cut off covenant loyalty your from with house my until perpetuity and not when cuts off Yahweh [the] enemies of David everyone from on [the] surface of the earth.
y por favor, no retires tu amor fiel a mi familia, aunque el Señor haya eliminado a todos tus enemigos de la tierra”.
16 And he made Jonathan with [the] house of David and he will require Yahweh from [the] hand of [the] enemies of David.
Jonatán hizo un acuerdo solemne con la familia de David, diciendo: “Que el Señor imponga su castigo a los enemigos de David”.
17 And he repeated Jonathan to make swear an oath David in love his him for [the] love of own self his he loved him.
Jonatán se lo hizo jurar a David una vez más, basándose en el amor que le profesaba, pues Jonatán ya amaba a David como a sí mismo.
18 And he said to him Jonathan [will be] tomorrow a new moon and you will be missed if it will be empty seat your.
Entonces Jonatán le dijo a David: “La fiesta de la Luna Nueva es mañana. Se te echará de menos, porque tu lugar estará vacío.
19 And you will do three times you will come down exceedingly and you will come to the place where you hid yourself there on [the] day of the deed and you will stay beside the stone Ezel.
Dentro de tres días, ve rápidamente al lugar donde te escondiste cuando todo esto empezó, y quédate allí junto al montón de piedras.
20 And I [the] three the arrows [its] side I will shoot to send [them] for myself to a target.
Yo lanzaré tres flechas a su lado, como si estuviera disparando a un blanco.
21 And there! I will send the lad go find the arrows certainly [if] I will say to the lad there! the arrows - [are] from you and hither fetch it - and come! for safety [belongs] to you and there not [is] anything [by] [the] life of Yahweh.
Luego enviaré a un muchacho y le diré: ‘¡Ve a buscar las flechas!’ Si le digo concretamente: ‘Mira, las flechas están a este lado; tráelas aquí’, entonces te juro por la vida del Señor que puedes salir sin peligro.
22 And if thus I will say to the young man there! the arrows [are] from you and beyond go for he has sent away you Yahweh.
Pero si le digo al muchacho: ‘Mira, las flechas están más allá de ti’, entonces tendrás que salir, porque el Señor quiere que te vayas.
23 And the matter which we have spoken I and you here! Yahweh [will be] between me and between you until perpetuity.
En cuanto a lo que tú y yo hablamos, recuerda que el Señor es testigo entre tú y yo para siempre”.
24 And he hid himself David in the field and it was the new moon and he sat down the king (to *Q(K)*) the food to eat.
Así que David se escondió en el campo. Cuando llegó la fiesta de la Luna Nueva, el rey se sentó a comer.
25 And he sat down the king on seat his as time - on time to [the] seat of the wall and he arose Jonathan and he sat down Abner from [the] side of Saul and it was empty [the] place of David.
Se sentó en su lugar habitual, junto al muro, frente a Jonatán. Abner se sentó junto a Saúl, pero el lugar de David estaba vacío.
26 And not he spoke Saul anything on the day that for he said [is] an accident it not [is] clean he for not clean.
Saúl no dijo nada ese día porque pensó: “Seguramente le ha pasado algo a David que lo hace ceremonialmente impuro; sí, seguro está impuro”.
27 And it was from [the] next day of the new moon second and it was empty [the] place of David. And he said Saul to Jonathan son his why? not has he come [the] son of Jesse both yesterday as well as this day to the food.
Pero el segundo día, el día después de la Luna Nueva, el lugar de David seguía vacío. Saúl le preguntó a su hijo Jonatán: “¿Por qué el hijo de Isaí no ha venido a cenar ni ayer ni hoy?”.
28 And he answered Jonathan Saul certainly he asked for himself David from with me to Beth-lehem.
Jonatán respondió: “David tuvo que pedirme urgentemente permiso para ir a Belén.
29 And he said let go me please for a sacrifice of [the] clan [belongs] to us in the city and he he has commanded to me brother my and therefore if I have found favor in view your let me slip away please so I may see brothers my there-fore not he has come to [the] table of the king.
Me dijo: ‘Por favor, déjame ir, porque nuestra familia va a celebrar un sacrificio en la ciudad y mi hermano me dijo que tenía que estar allí. Si piensas bien de mí, por favor, déjame ir a ver a mis hermanos’. Por eso se ausentó de la mesa del rey”.
30 And it burned [the] anger of Saul on Jonathan and he said to him O son of perverse [woman] of rebelliousness ¿ not do I know that [are] choosing you [the] son of Jesse to own shame your and to [the] shame of [the] nakedness of mother your.
Saúl se enojó mucho con Jonatán y le dijo: “¡Rebelde hijo de puta! ¿Crees que no sé que prefieres al hijo de Isaí? ¡Qué vergüenza! ¡Eres una vergüenza para la madre que te dio a luz!
31 For all the days which [the] son of Jesse he lives on the earth not you will be established you and kingdom your and therefore send and fetch him to me for [is] a son of death he.
Mientras el hijo de Isaí siga vivo, tú y tu reinado no estarán seguros. Ahora ve y tráemelo, porque tiene que morir”.
32 And he answered Jonathan Saul father his and he said to him why? will he be put to death what? has he done.
“¿Por qué tiene que morir?” preguntó Jonatán. “¿Qué ha hecho?”
33 And he threw Saul the spear on him to strike him and he knew Jonathan that it had been determined it from with father his to kill David.
Entonces Saúl lanzó su lanza contra Jonatán, tratando de matarlo, por lo que supo que su padre definitivamente quería a David muerto.
34 And he arose Jonathan from with the table in [the] heat of anger and not he ate on [the] day of the new moon second food for he was grieved concerning David for he had put to shame him father his.
Jonatán abandonó la mesa, y estaba absolutamente furioso. No quiso comer nada en el segundo día de la fiesta, pues estaba muy molesto por la forma vergonzosa en que su padre había tratado a David.
35 And it was in the morning and he went out Jonathan the field to [the] appointed time of David and a lad small [was] with him.
Por la mañana, Jonatán fue al campo, al lugar que había acordado con David, y un muchacho iba con él.
36 And he said to lad his run find please the arrows which I [am] about to shoot the lad he ran and he he shot the arrow to make [it] pass beyond him.
Entonces le dijo al muchacho: “Corre y encuentra las flechas que yo tire”. De modo que el muchacho comenzó a correr y Jonatán le disparó una flecha.
37 And he came the lad to [the] place of the arrow which he had shot Jonathan and he called out Jonathan after the lad and he said ¿ not [is] the arrow from you and beyond.
Cuando el muchacho llegó al lugar donde había caído la flecha de Jonatán, éste le gritó: “¿No ves que la flecha está más adelante?
38 And he called out Jonathan after the lad quickly make haste! may not you delay and he picked up [the] lad of Jonathan (the arrows *Q(K)*) and he came to master his.
¡Apúrate! ¡Hazlo rápido! ¡No esperes!” El muchacho recogió las flechas y se las llevó a su amo.
39 And the lad not he knew anything only Jonathan and David they knew the matter.
El muchacho no sospechaba nada; sólo Jonatán y David sabían lo que significaba.
40 And he gave Jonathan weapons his to the lad who [belonged] to him and he said to him go take [them] the city.
Jonatán le dio el arco y las flechas al muchacho y le dijo: “Llévatelas a la ciudad”.
41 The lad he went and David he arose from beside the south and he fell to face his [the] ground towards and he bowed down three times and they kissed - each friend his and they wept for each friend his until David he did great things.
Después de que el muchacho se había ido, David se levantó de donde estaba, junto al montón de piedras, se tiró al suelo boca abajo y se inclinó tres veces. Entonces él y Jonatán se besaron y lloraron juntos como amigos, aunque David fue el que más lloró.
42 And he said Jonathan to David go to peace that we have sworn an oath [the] two of us we by [the] name of Yahweh saying Yahweh he will be - between me and between you and between offspring my and between offspring your until perpetuity. And he arose and he went and Jonathan he went the city.
Jonatán le dijo a David: “Vete en paz, porque los dos hemos hecho un juramento solemne en nombre del Señor. Dijimos: ‘El Señor será testigo entre tú y yo, y entre mis descendientes y los tuyos para siempre’”. Entonces David se marchó, y Jonatán volvió a la ciudad.
