< 1 Samuel 20 >
1 And he fled David (from Naioth *Q(k)*) in Ramah and he went and he said - before Jonathan what? have I done what? [is] iniquity my and what? [is] sin my before father your that [is] seeking life my.
Awo Dawudi n’adduka okuva e Nayosi mu Laama n’agenda eri Yonasaani, n’amubuuza nti, “Nkoze ki? Nazza musango ki? Kibi ki kye nakola ekiyagazisa kitaawo okunzita?”
2 And he said to him far be it not you will die here! (not he does *Q(K)*) father my anything great or anything small and not he uncovers ear my and why? will he hide father my from me the thing this there not [is] this.
Yonasaani n’addamu nti, “Kikafuuwe! Togenda kuttibwa. Laba kitange talina ky’akola, kakibe kinene oba kitono, nga tantegeezezza. Kiki ekyandimuleetedde okukinkisa ekyo? Tekiriiwo.”
3 And he swore an oath again David and he said certainly he knows father your that I have found favor in view your and he has said may not he know this Jonathan lest he should be grieved and but [by] [the] life of Yahweh and [by] [the] life of self your for about a step between me and between death.
Naye Dawudi n’amulayirira ng’ayogera nti, “Kitaawo akimanyi bulungi nti onjagala, era alowooza mu mutima gwe nti, ‘Yonasaani tateekwa kumanya nsonga eyo, kubanga ajja kunakuwala.’ Mukama nga bw’ali omulamu, era naawe ng’oli mujulirwa, ndi wakati mu kufa.”
4 And he said Jonathan to David whatever it will say self your so I may do for you.
Awo Yonasaani n’agamba Dawudi nti, “Buli ky’oyagala nkukolere, nnaakikukolera.”
5 And he said David to Jonathan here! a new moon [will be] tomorrow and I certainly I will sit with the king to eat and you will let go me and I will hide myself in the field until the evening third.
Dawudi n’agamba Yonasaani nti, “Enkya mbaga ey’okujuukirirako omwezi nga gubonese era nsubirwa okuliira awamu ne kabaka, naye nzikiriza ŋŋende ne kweke mu nnimiro okutuusa ku lunaku olwokusatu akawungeezi nga wayiseewo ennaku bbiri.
6 Certainly [if] he will miss me father your and you will say certainly he asked for himself from me David to run Beth-lehem city his for [the] sacrifice of the days [is] there for all the clan.
Kitaawo bw’anambuuza, mugambe nti, ‘Dawudi yansabye, agende e Besirekemu, mu kibuga kye waabwe, kubanga waliwo ssaddaaka eya buli mwaka eneeweebwayo ku lw’ennyumba ye yonna.’
7 If thus he will say good safety [belongs] to servant your and if certainly it will burn to him know that it has been determined harm from with him.
Bw’anaakuddamu nti, ‘Kirungi,’ olwo nno omuweereza wo anaaba mirembe. Naye bw’anaanyiiga, kale onootegeera nti amaliridde okunkola akabi.
8 And you will do covenant loyalty towards servant your for in [the] covenant of Yahweh you have brought servant your with you and if there in me [is] iniquity put to death me you and to father your why? this will you bring me.
Noolwekyo beera wa kisa eri omuweereza wo, kubanga wakola endagaano n’omuweereza wo mu maaso ga Mukama. Naye oba nnina omusango, gw’oba onzita. Lwaki ompaayo eri kitaawo?”
9 And he said Jonathan far be it to you that - if ever I will know that it has been determined harm from with father my to come on you and not it will I tell to you.
Yonasaani n’ayogera nti, “Tekiribaawo! Singa nnali ntegedde nga kitange amaliridde okukukola akabi, sandikubuulidde?”
10 And he said David to Jonathan who? will he tell to me or what? will he answer you father your hard.
Awo Dawudi n’amubuuza nti, “Ani anantegeeza, kitaawo ng’akuzzeemu n’obusungu?”
11 And he said Jonathan to David come! so we may go out the field and they went out [the] two of them the field.
Yonasaani n’amugamba nti, “Jjangu tulage mu nnimiro.” Awo bombi ne balaga mu nnimiro.

Awo Yonasaani n’agamba Dawudi nti, “Mukama, Katonda wa Isirayiri, abeere mujulirwa waffe; nzija kugezaako okumatiza kitange enkya oba okwosa enkya ku ssaawa nga zino. Bw’anaaba nga takuliiko nsonga, kiki ekinandobera okukumanyisa?
13 Thus may he do Yahweh to Jonathan and thus may he add if it will make good to father my harm on you and I will uncover ear your and I will send away you and you will go to peace and may he be Yahweh with you just as he has been with father my.
Naye kitange bw’anaaba ng’amaliridde okukukola akabi, kale Mukama ankole bw’atyo, n’okusingawo, bwe siikutegeeze ne nkusindika ogende weekweke. Mukama abeere naawe, nga bw’abadde ne kitange.
14 And not if still I [am] alive and not you will do with me [the] covenant loyalty of Yahweh and not I will die.
Bwe nnaaba omulamu, ondage ekisa kya Mukama ekitakoma, ennaku zonna ez’obulamu bwange, nneme okuttibwa,
15 And not you must cut off covenant loyalty your from with house my until perpetuity and not when cuts off Yahweh [the] enemies of David everyone from on [the] surface of the earth.
tokendeezanga ku kisa so tolekangayo kulaga bwesigwa eri ennyumba yange, Mukama ne bw’alizikiriza buli mulabe wa Dawudi ku nsi.”
16 And he made Jonathan with [the] house of David and he will require Yahweh from [the] hand of [the] enemies of David.
Awo Yonasaani n’akola endagaano n’ennyumba ya Dawudi ng’agamba nti, “Mukama abonereze abalabe ba Dawudi.”
17 And he repeated Jonathan to make swear an oath David in love his him for [the] love of own self his he loved him.
Yonasaani n’alayiza Dawudi nate okukakasa ekirayiro kye, olw’okwagala kwe yamwagala kubanga yamwagala nga bwe yali yeeyagala.
18 And he said to him Jonathan [will be] tomorrow a new moon and you will be missed if it will be empty seat your.

19 And you will do three times you will come down exceedingly and you will come to the place where you hid yourself there on [the] day of the deed and you will stay beside the stone Ezel.
Okwosa enkya, obudde nga bunaatera okuziba, genda mu kifo mwe weekweka luli, ebizibu bino bwe byatandika, obeere awali ejjinja Ezeri.
20 And I [the] three the arrows [its] side I will shoot to send [them] for myself to a target.
Nnaalasa obusaale busatu ku mabbali gaalyo, ng’ateeba ssabbaawa.
21 And there! I will send the lad go find the arrows certainly [if] I will say to the lad there! the arrows - [are] from you and hither fetch it - and come! for safety [belongs] to you and there not [is] anything [by] [the] life of Yahweh.
N’oluvannyuma nzija kutuma omulenzi nga mugamba nti, ‘Genda onoonye obusaale.’ Bwe naamugamba nti, ‘Laba, obusaale buli ku luuyi gy’oli, buleete,’ kale onojja, kubanga Mukama nga bw’ali omulamu, onoolama, era tewaabeewo kabi.
22 And if thus I will say to the young man there! the arrows [are] from you and beyond go for he has sent away you Yahweh.
Naye bwe nnaagamba omulenzi nti, ‘Laba, obusaale buli mu maaso,’ kale onoogenda, kubanga olwo Mukama ng’akugambye ogende.
23 And the matter which we have spoken I and you here! Yahweh [will be] between me and between you until perpetuity.
Era ne ku bigambo bye twayogerako, Mukama abeere naffe ennaku zonna.”
24 And he hid himself David in the field and it was the new moon and he sat down the king (to *Q(K)*) the food to eat.

26 And not he spoke Saul anything on the day that for he said [is] an accident it not [is] clean he for not clean.
Sawulo n’atabaako kyayogera ku lunaku olwo, kubanga yalowooza nti, “Waliwo ekituuse ku Dawudi ne kimufuula atali mulongoofu; ddala si mulongoofu.”
27 And it was from [the] next day of the new moon second and it was empty [the] place of David. And he said Saul to Jonathan son his why? not has he come [the] son of Jesse both yesterday as well as this day to the food.
Olunaku olwaddirira, omwezi nga gumaze okuboneka, ekifo kya Dawudi ne kisigala nga kyereere. Awo Sawulo n’abuuza mutabani we Yonasaani nti, “Kiki ekyalobedde mutabani wa Yese okujja ku kijjulo, olunaku lwa jjo newaakubadde leero?”
28 And he answered Jonathan Saul certainly he asked for himself David from with me to Beth-lehem.
Yonasaani n’addamu nti, “Dawudi yanneegayiridde mukkirize agende e Besirekemu,
29 And he said let go me please for a sacrifice of [the] clan [belongs] to us in the city and he he has commanded to me brother my and therefore if I have found favor in view your let me slip away please so I may see brothers my there-fore not he has come to [the] table of the king.
ng’ayogera nti, ‘Nzikiriza ŋŋende kubanga ennyumba yaffe balina ssaddaaka ey’okuwaayo mu kibuga, ne muganda wange yandagidde mbeere yo. Kale nno obanga ndabye ekisa mu maaso go, nzikiriza ŋŋende ndabe baganda bange.’ Kyeyavudde tabeerawo ku mmeeza ya kabaka.”

31 For all the days which [the] son of Jesse he lives on the earth not you will be established you and kingdom your and therefore send and fetch him to me for [is] a son of death he.
Mutabani wa Yese ng’akyali mulamu ku nsi, tolinywezebwa ggwe newaakubadde obwakabaka bwo. Kaakano mutumye omundeetere, kubanga ateekwa okufa.”
32 And he answered Jonathan Saul father his and he said to him why? will he be put to death what? has he done.
Awo Yonasaani n’addamu kitaawe Sawulo nti, “Kiki ekimugwanyiza okuttibwa? Akoze ki?”
33 And he threw Saul the spear on him to strike him and he knew Jonathan that it had been determined it from with father his to kill David.

37 And he came the lad to [the] place of the arrow which he had shot Jonathan and he called out Jonathan after the lad and he said ¿ not [is] the arrow from you and beyond.
